Come Out of Her, My People!

“Love Not The World!”

IS THE CHURCH BABYLON?

.

There are many honest-hearted truth-seekers who are genuinely wondering whether or not the churches today are the Mystery Babylon (spoken of in the prophets and in Revelation 17 & 18)…

…”Just what are the evidences”, say they…

…”evidences that the churches are apostate?”

.

Oh yes, they understand that a large portion of the churches are apostate. “But has my little conservative church become apostate?”

.

And so, today’s devotional will focus upon a false and heretical doctrine now being taught in some of the more conservative churches, concerning our relationship with the world…

CALLING OUT OF BABYLON

.

God has chosen us out of the world to become, “ambassadors for Christ.” 2nd Corinthians 5:20

.

We are to be fit representatives for Heaven to a lost and dying world.

.

And we have been commissioned by God, to call others to come out of this sorrowful world and take their stand on the Lord’s side.

.

SATAN CALLS US BACK TO BABYLON

.

**And yet, “the god of this world”, cannot tolerate losing even one of his former citizens!**

.

And so, he sets about to bring us back into his “fold”, by any means possible!

.

POLITICS TODAY

.

**And one very powerful way that the Enemy of Souls brings Christians back is through the current daily soap-opera, called “politics”.**

.

Yes, Satan has turned the world of politics into a very intriguing and captivating area of interest…

.

…using the various mass media to catch our attention and divert us away from the work at hand, which God has given us to accomplish.

.

“ENTANGLED…WITH…THIS LIFE”

.

But the Bible warns us…

…”No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;

that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

2nd Timothy 2:4

.

Paul here is presenting this truth in the form of a parable, exhorting Christians to, “remember the battle, do no more”. Job 41:8.

.

We must remember that the spiritual battle which rages all around us, and not become mesmerized by this, “enchanted-ground world”!

.

THE WORLD: SATAN’S KINGDOM!

.

We must keep in mind where we are…

…This world is an integral part of Hell…

…The Devil rules here…

…This is his kingdom…

…God has temporarily given Lucifer rule over this world. (See 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

.

But Satan has disguised his kingdom, giving it a form of godliness, in hopes of confusing us, and entwining our hearts with the seemingly good things of this self-seeking world.

RETURNING TO THE CITY OF DESTRUCTION

.

And so, the vast majority of churchgoers, after having been called out of the world, eventually return back into the world, pursuing the comforts and pleasures and aspirations and cares of this life.

.

Oh yes, like the rest of the world, Christians must work and support themselves, and seek comfort and happiness for their family too, if they have one.

.

But Satan’s goal is to ensnare the hearts of Christians with various aspects of the world, instead of being fully engaged in the purification of our hearts and the transformation of our lives into the image of Christ.

“A DREAM COMETH!”

.

Listen to the Wise Man… “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business;” Ecclesiastes 5:3

.

Yes, when I get so involved in worldly pursuits, a spirit of forgetfulness envelops, causing me to wander away from the upward pathway…

.

…my prayer-life becomes tepid…

.

…my daily Bible study becomes short, mechanical, and uninspired.

.

AS A SNARE, THAT DAY HAS COME!

Listen again to this warning by Jesus in Luke’s Gospel…

…”And take heed to yourselves,

lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting,

and drunkenness,

and cares of this life,

and so that day come upon you unawares.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always,

that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,

and to stand before the Son of man.”

Luke 21:34-36

.

Christians must awake from our death-like slumber and once again put on our armor and watch unto prayer, and pray unto watchfulness!

.

The hour of judgment is at hand!

.

And so, look up, O soldier of the Cross, lift up your head, because your redemption draws near!

TODAY’S HEAVENLY SIGN

THE SWINE: “LUST OF THE FLESH”

“For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

not of the Father,

but is of the world.”

1st John 2:16

This tiny article will introduce this third beast-like face, inscribed in the Moon: a swine.

.

And it will be shown that the three beast-like faces in the Moon, represent the concept taught in the above verse concerning “the lust of the flesh…the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life”.

**It has become apparent that the second face in the Moon, besides appearing as a wolf-like beast, also appears as a Swine.**

.

Let’s explore this concept, for a moment.

.

First of all, when a person sees the second face up in the sky, it’s arguable whether or not it looks like a swine.

.

But it must be conceded that the photos do indeed make it appear as if this character has a “sawed-off” snout like a swine.

.

And of course, a swine is spoken of quite frequently in Scripture.
