There are very many people who wonder why a loving God allows all this bad stuff to happen.

.

Yes, if God is all-powerful, why does He let people suffer?

.

Maybe God isn’t as loving and merciful as He would have us believe?

.

OUR CHILDISH THINKING!

.

Well, perhaps what people are really asking is this: “Why doesn’t God just take away all the results of sin, and merely let us enjoy this selfish world?”

.

Well, isn’t that what we’re truly desiring?

.

And so, there are many persons who childishly turn their backs to God in anger, because we feel that God is just a “big meanie in the sky”!

.

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSE

.

The fact is, God could have simply destroyed this planet, and all its inhabitants, if He chose to!

.

But He didn’t!

.

Instead, He says of Himself…

“ Slay them not, lest My people forget:”

Psalm 59:10, 11

.

Here we get a glimpse at why God has allowed evil to continue: to teach His people the results of evil!

.

“Is this the man that made the earth to tremble…?”

.

Listen as God describes these last days in which Lucifer will be exposed…

“They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee (Lucifer),

and consider thee, saying, ‘Is this the man that made the earth to tremble,

that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness,

and destroyed the cities thereof;

that opened not the house of his prisoners?'”

Isaiah 14:16, 17

.

So here it says that Lucifer and his evil kingdom of selfishness will be exposed and examined in these last days!

“The heaven for height, and the earth for depth…”

Proverbs 25:3

.

And so, now it begins to become clear why God has allowed this evil world to continue…

…so that all Heaven’s inhabitants may witness the true depths of evil, as seen in this fallen world…

…to give us a contrast…

…to give us a perspective…

…that we may know for a certainty, just how much more excellent Heaven’s government of unselfish love is!

“Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.”

Listen to why God allows suffering…

“For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

But though He cause grief,

yet will He have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies.

For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men…

Let us search and try our ways,

and turn again to the LORD.

Let us lift up our heart with our hands

unto God in the heavens.”

Lamentations 3:31-33, 40, 41

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSE

.

Yes, God has an eternal purpose!

And just what is His eternal Purpose?

.

Listen… “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times

He might gather together in one all things in Christ,

both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth;

even in Him:”

Ephesians 1:9, 10

.

So, it is His eternal purpose to lovingly gather the entire universe’s inhabitants together as one, in the fulness of time!

.

PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING!  

.

But the Good News is, that the more that we come into harmony with God’s Word, the more pleasant will our lives become!

.

Yes, God offers to each and every man, woman, and child, the Way to live in peace and love and joy!

.

As a matter of fact, the Bible tells us that we can live in “perfect peace”! (Isaiah 26:3)

.

Yes, God promises to do, “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20

.

And how about this next promise?

Listen…“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

.

Now with such promises as these, how can we lose?

THE 7 STARS IMITATE THE CROSS OF ORION

.

God has placed the stars in such a way that tells this marvelous concept of lifting up the Cross of Christ: self-sacrificing love for Mankind.

.

First, Orion, representing Christ, lifts up the Cross.

Then, just a little later, the 7 Stars Constellation, representing God’s Church finally lifts up the Cross, seemingly in response to Orion’s prior example.

.

These two constellations are the two brightest and most prominent constellations in the winter-night sky.

.

The sketch to the above left is ‘Orion’ as it is seen, beginning in October in the pre-dawn hours, in mid-sky.

The sketch to the right is of the ‘7 Stars’ Constellation as it is seen through the first half of winter, as it imitates Orion.
