Have you had your minimum daily requirements today?

.

Do you even know what they are?

.

Well, don’t feel bad! Most of us don’t know them either!

.

The fact is, the medical community has determined just what are the M.D.R. (Minimum Daily Requirements) and this has all been done as a result of the invention of vitamin pills!

.

Yes, the vitamin pill industry has supposedly developed all the pills necessary for our good health, as long as we take our Minimum Daily Requirements.

THE “HOLISTIC” APPROACH

.

Of course, if a person is desiring to obtain maximum health, then common sense dictates a more, “wholistic” approach.

.

And what is the “wholistic” approach, you ask?

.

Simply put, daily exercise, proper healthy diet, pure water, ample sunlight, fresh air, proper rest, self-control, and whatever else may be beneficial for optimal health.

.

But the problem with this wholistic approach to health is, most people would rather just take a few pills: Minimum Daily Requirements!

.

TEN LITTLE RULES?

.

And so, this idea of Minimum Daily Requirements, and a wholistic health regimen likewise seems to have a spiritual application to Salvation!

.

For instance, the children of Israel were given the Ten Commandments by Moses.

(Oh yes, they were also given many other laws as well.)

.

**And they began to look at these ten laws as a type of Minimum Daily Requirements for spiritual health.**

.

In other words, they thought that by merely keeping this little short-list of rules, that they could please God.

.

NO HUNGERING & THIRSTING AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS

.

But even today, there are so many confessing/professing Christians so lacking in hunger and thirst for the soul-saving words of life?

.

Jesus said in His infamous Sermon on the Mount, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

.

“he (the rich, young ruler) went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.”

Matthew 19:22

.

Jesus said regarding that rich young ruler…“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My Disciple.” Luke 14:33

.

That young man would rather remain just a part-timer.

.

This way, he could still hold fast to his earthly passions and pursuits, and have Jesus too!

“I STAND AT THE DOOR & KNOCK”

Revelation 3:20

.

Unfortunately, such a half-hearted service will never work!

.

Jesus says to all such…

.

…”Because thou sayest, I am rich,

.

and increased with goods,

.

and have need of nothing;

.

and knowest not that thou art wretched,

.

and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”

Revelation 3:15-17

.

GOOD NEWS! STILL TIME TO REPENT!

.

Now the very Good News is, that those of us who are WANTING MORE than a superficial relationship with Christ still have opportunity to cry out to Jesus for His wonderful Salvation!

.

Perhaps, the New Testament Book of James says it best…

.

“…whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world

.

is the enemy of God…

.

Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.

.

Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;

.

and purify your hearts, ye double minded…

.

let your laughter be turned to mourning,

.

and your joy to heaviness.

.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,

.

and He shall lift you up.”

James 4:4, 8-10

.

Here is a passionate plea for total and wholehearted repentance from world-loving professors of Christianity!

A more wholistic approach to salvation!

“Dear Lord, Give me a new heart which desires to become an entirely new creation!

Keep me back from falling into a mere religion of trying to do the minimum.

But mold me and make me into Thy Likeness…

Looking at this sketch, do you see this woman as she tries to take hold of that crown?

Well, this is a heavenly fulfillment of the above Bible verse…

“And there appeared a great wonder (or “sign”) in Heaven;

.

a woman…and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”

Revelation 12:1.

.

**And this woman is known as the Revelation 12 Woman, and that crown is known as the Revelation 12 Crown.**

You can see this constellation group in the summer months by looking in the western skies.
