The world appreciates the Sun, with all its benefits.

…Its beauty.
.
…Its
warmth.
.
…Its life-giving properties.
.
And just look at this photo of a bicycler…”Sunlight on King Street”!

What an appropriate name!

Do you think this person was having a nice day in the Sun?

The Sun can be very healing.
.
And God has given the Sun for Mankind’s needs: for his health, and for his happiness.
.
But He also has given the Sun to be a spiritual sign.
.
The Sun teaches some important Biblical truths.

THE CREATOR’S WITNESSES IN NATURE
.
Yes, nature testifies to the majesty & grandeur, to the law & order, to the love and poetry of our great and awesome God!
.
But God has also inscribed wisdom, divine wisdom, in all of nature.
.
Yes, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is inscribed in all, from the tiniest atomic particle to the greatest galaxy, and even beyond: God’s wisdom can be discovered in all the universe!

THE SUN
.
But today’s devotional is dedicated to our Sun.
.
Because the Sun has many wonderful qualities about it, which all humans may enjoy.
.
But the Sun also plays an important role in revealing Jesus Christ to the world!
.
From Jesus’ own lips, He proclaimed…
“I am the light of the world:
he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.”
John 8:12

TODAY’S HEAVENLY SIGN

1st ORB: THE SUN = 1ST COMMANDMENT
.
“Thou shall have no other gods before Me”
.
.
One great clue that if the Sun would correspond to the First Commandment, “You shall have no other gods before Me”…
.
…that fact is, the names which Mankind has given to the planets, all named after pagan gods: Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, etc… are all names of ancient pagan deities.
.
Then begin to relate the Sun corresponding to the first Commandment… “You shall have no other gods before Me”, which just so happens to be surrounded by planets named after pagan gods!
.
It would seem that God has allowed Mankind (under the influence of “the god of this world“, of course) to name these planets after pagan gods, in order to make a very poignant statement…
.
…that statement being, that we citizens of this planet are in rebellion against God, therefore, we have other gods.
.
So, God has set up this solar system to present this concept (and other concepts too) of the Sun (Christ) being surrounded by our many other gods (i.e., the 9 planets, named after pagan gods).
