Part 5:

“The Angel of the Bottomless Pit!”

What most Christians are not aware of, is that the Book of Revelation is all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why it is titled, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”. Revelation 1:1

.

And why is there so much confusion about Revelation?

.

The problem is, like so much of the Bible, Revelation is written in types and symbols.

.

Consequently, the greater portion of the Church has been locked out of most all the Book of Revelation!

.

NOT SEARCHING THE BIBLE

.

For instance, if the average evangelical churchgoer wishes to discover what locusts represent in Chapter 9, they cannot simply do a word-search about locusts.

.

If they did, they would soon discover that locusts represent God’s judgment on worldly-minded Christians as their earthly as well as spiritual riches get “eaten up” in various ways.

.

But because they are locked out, they vainly search newspapers and decide that those prophetic locusts will actually be something like black helicopters.

THE GOSPEL IN TYPES & SYMBOLS

.

And because of this devilish and non-biblical hermeneutic which prevents them from spiritualizing away all the types and symbols found in Revelation…

.

…as a result, the vast majority of churchgoers cannot discover that Revelation is merely the Gospel of Jesus Christ, howbeit veiled in Old Testament types and symbols.

.

**Now let’s examine another component from this chapter in hopes of understanding this composite beast in Revelation 9: let’s examine, “The Destroyer”, in verse 11…**

“And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.”

Revelation 9:11

.

This above verse from Revelation 9:11 tells us that these composite beasts of the first verses of that chapter, are ruled over by their king, “Abaddon” and “Apollyon”.

.

We are told that these names mean “Destroying Angel” in Hebrew, and merely, “Destroyer” in Greek.

.

In Exodus 12:23, God sent “the Destroyer” to slay anyone who didn’t have the blood of the covenant on their doorpost.

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

1st Peter 4:17

And so, we might conclude that this Revelation 9 “Destroyer” has a name in both Greek and Hebrew for all the reasons given in this article: to destroy both the churches as well as the entire world

.

So, in conclusion, let it be said that this composite beast in that chapter, as well as his king are concerning God’s chastisement on His people, but also upon the whole world. It is the time of Judgment for all!

The Good News is that the hour still remains for any and all to plead for deliverance from total destruction.

Oh yes, we must all go through the fire & brimstone of tribulation.

.

But peradventure, we can say along with Job 23:10…“But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”

.

Yes, God will sit as a purifier of gold (faith & love) within the hearts of His chosen ones.

…”Now if any man build upon this foundation

gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man’s work shall be made manifest:

for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire;

and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.”

1st Corinthians 3:12, 13

.

And so, let’s use the remaining days weeks and months to make sure that our characters have a foundation: a foundation of “gold, silver, precious stones”!

HOLY-GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellations (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation).

**Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon.**

Also notice his eye is a star.

It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky.

It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west.

.

In January, it is in the west after midnight.

.

As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation.

**It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion.**

.

**And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west.**

.

**The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation.**

.

**The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation.**

.

**The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.**

THIS HOLY-GHOST-RIDER

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it.

.

And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?”

.

Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.
