“Another parable put He (Jesus) forth unto them,

saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man

which sowed good seed in his field: 

But while men slept, his enemy came…

and sowed tares among the wheat…

in the time of harvest I will say (to the reapers)…

Gather ye together first the tares,

and bind them in bundles to burn them:

but gather the wheat into my barn.”

This above passage, found in Matthew 13, is that infamous parable of the wheat and tares.

.

In this frightful prophecy, the wheat represents the true worshipers of God, while the tares represent the false brethren in the Church.

The last devotional on this topic of “Bind Them in Bundles” (Click here to read) focused on the churches.

Today’s devotional will, instead, turn the spotlight on the secular world, and its own set of bundles.

.

“Melting Pot of the World?” Not So Much…

.

Have you noticed how there is a massive bundling going on?

.

Have you been witnessing a separation of various groups, each group retreating to their own particular culture/ideology/color-group?

.

The United States was once called the “melting pot of the world” in which various cultures came together in a unified identity.

.

But now this phenomenon is no longer the case. Just the opposite!

.

People are flocking here, and yet maintaining their own identity, waving their own home-country flag, often refusing to learn the native language, etc…

.

“…but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay”

Daniel 2:43

Just what is happening?

What has changed?

Well, no doubt there is no shortage of opinions on why this is happening.

But the Bible has foretold of this phenomenon, so long ago…

…”in the time of harvest I will say (to the reapers)…

Gather ye together first the tares,

and bind them in bundles to burn them:

but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Yes, there is to be a bundling just prior to Judgment Day.

.

And though this prophecy is specifically concerning the church-world, it seems as if it is likewise being fulfilled out in the general populace as well.

.

The world bleeds through this prophecy.

“And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided;”

Daniel 2:41

Even in the Old Testament Book of Daniel, a vision of the future of the church (and quite possibly of the entire world) was shown to Daniel.

.

And in this vision was a giant statue with a head of gold, arms of silver, loins of brass, legs of iron, and feet of iron mingled with clay.

.

And besides its purpose of pointing out the devolution the church, its culmination with feet with iron and clay which would not stick together, even further separating into ten toes.

Matthew 24:12

The point is that this end-times separation appears to be fulfilling this very day.

.

Everyone seems to be retreating into their own particular camp.

.

Society has tagged this phenomenon as “Tribalism”.

.

Even with a brief look, it’s not difficult to see all this cultishness playing itself out in today’s world…

…gender wars…

…racial groups separating one from another…

…political parties hating one-another…

…nations hating one-another…

…religions aggressively taking over cultures…

…societies forcing its perverted ideas on the general populace…

.

And if all this is not unnerving enough, it’s nearly impossible to reason with steely-eyed cultists on anything outside of their own particular belief-system!

THE WORLD: KINGDOM OF THE CULTS

And many political pundits are now each calling the opposing political party “a cult”.

.

Both political parties are pointing the accusing finger at one-another, saying “You are a cult!”

.

The fact seems to be that not only do both political parties appear to possess a steely-eyed cultish behavior, this seems to apply also to all the various other tribes of the world!

.

The entire world appears to be turning into steely-eyed cultists!

.

But just why is this happening?

“Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”

Isaiah 33:14

Well, the Bible says the following…Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them.

Yes, God’s “devouring fire” will judge the members of each group on that terrible Day of Fire!

.

But that fire is further described as follows…

…”Every man’s work shall be made manifest:

for the day shall declare it,

because it shall be revealed by fire;

and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.”

1st Corinthians 3:13

.

This is the “Devouring Fire” of God’s Judgment on each and every one of us, including Christians!

The Good News is that today is still the day of Salvation!

And the invitation goes out to every man, woman, and child to…
