and into many foolish and hurtful lusts…

But thou, O man of God, flee these things…”

In the first two devotionals, (click here), the subject of how this opulent, decadent society has “crept in unawares”, and greatly destroyed the purity of the Gospel, causing God’s people to become apostate and spiritually weak!

.

And it was also shown that the Bible counsels God’s people to finally wake up, and flee from this sad and apostate condition!

.

Yes, because God’s people have been pursuing the same opulence and decadence that led to the ultimate destruction of Sodom, we are now seeing Sodom rising up all around us!

.

Even our school systems are beginning to promote Sodomy to students!

FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS

.

Now, in the Genesis account, the day finally came when Lot was warned to, “escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!” Genesis 19:17. 

.

Yes, the day finally came, when God was ready to pour out His fire and fury upon Sodom and its surrounding cities.

.

And so, God is now allowing Satan to create a similar situation in today’s world.

.

“REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE!”

.

And the call is just now going out to God’s people… “escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!”

.

But what are we to do?

Where are we to flee?

After all, this modern-day society does not permit people to merely homestead anymore!

And it seems that God has given up the entire world!

.

So just how are we to escape from the destructive forces which are enveloping both us and our families?

.

.

.

.

.

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul”

Jeremiah 51:6

.

Listen to Luke’s admonition… 

“In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop,

and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away:

and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 

Remember Lot’s wife. 

Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it;

and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.”

Luke 17:31-33

SODOM RISING!

.

So what can we do?

.

How can we possibly escape this impossible situation?

.

After all, we and our children are now being smothered by all these high-tech devices and teachings of decadent lifestyles and atheistic philosophies in our school system and in every other area of society!

.

And society is now beginning to insist that we must accept their sin!

.

WHERE CAN WE FLEE TO?

.

But we can’t just flee to the wilderness!

.

No, Satan is now locking up the deserts and forests, making it increasingly difficult and expensive to move to the country!

.

And parents are finding it more and more difficult to home-school our children!

.

And even many of our fellow church members have become so worldly-minded, that they are little or no help!

.

They just tell us that we are worrying too much about these “little matters”!

.

CHRIST, OUR HIDING PLACE!

.

In all this Old Testament advice, we must remember that the Old Testament was the Gospel of Jesus, howbeit, veiled in types and symbols, and shadows.

.

For instance, the ragged rocks spoken of in Isaiah 2:21, are actually speaking of Christ our Rock, as He is revealed in His Word. (1st Corinthians 10:4)

.

So then, can we gather from all this, that Christ is where we must flee to?

.

Listen… “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion:

in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me;

He shall set me up upon a Rock. 

And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me:”

Psalm 27:5, 6

.

Yes, it is under the shadow of His wings, in His secret Pavilion, upon that mighty Rock, that we are to take refuge.

.

That’s the only safe place to hide in this fearful hour we are now in!

.

It is called the Revelation 12 Woman Constellation, also known as Ursa Major or The Big Dipper. 

So if we explore this constellation in the light of the Bible, there can be a wealth of information discovered on this very topic.

So come along and dig into this study.

And after reading about this heavenly revelation, you just might find yourself fleeing to the mountains.

And maybe, just maybe, there are some much better mountains to flee to, than the ones around Jerusalem!

Mountains in which you can hide, where tacking devices and black helicopters are useless against you!
