they are utterly consumed with terrors.
As a dream when one awaketh;

The Cuttlefish is, by far, one of the most amazing creature in all the earth!
.
This little sea creature has been given the ability to instantly change shape, color, and spots, to imitate its surroundings!
.
It takes on the image of whatever environment it happens to be in!
.
Not only this, but in addition to camouflaging itself, to creep up on its victim, it begins to flash like a neon strobe-light, right before it sends out its long tongue at lightning speed to snatch up its hypnotized prey!

Well, today’s devotional is all about changing into an image.
.
And there is no better symbol for image-changing than the Cuttlefish…

IMAGE OF THE BEAST
.
So let’s look into what the bible has to say about images…
.
Listen… “And he (the False Prophet) had power to give life unto the image of the beast,
that the image of the beast should both speak,
and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
Revelation 13:15
.
And so, this above verse from Revelation foretells of a day in which the False Prophet will cause all the inhabitants of the world to bow down to the image of the 1st Beast of Revelation 13.

HIGH-TECH DEVICES
.
Right now, the Enemy of Souls is working around the clock to create a society which must conform to his proud and selfish character.
.
But the greatest achievement in his weapons arsenal, are the various electronic devices which are now on the scene.
.
The Bible says… “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1st Corinthians 15:33
.
As this above little verse warns, whatever unchristian communications we watch or listen to, will have a corrupting effect upon our behavior and lifestyle.

SURROUNDED

Now we are living in the midst of a society which is fully immersed in watching, and listening to high-tech devices!

And whether we like it or not, we are becoming imperceptibly changed by that culture which surrounds us!

And this is what the image of the Beast is all about!

THE IMAGE THAT SPEAKS
.
Listen again… “And he (the False Prophet) had power to give life unto the image of the beast,
that the image of the beast should both speak,
and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
Revelation 13:15
.
Oh no, things have not devolved so much, that we are being killed.
.
Well, at least, not in this culture…yet!
.
But in a spiritual sense, we are indeed being killed!
.

.
BEING SPIRITUALLY KILLED
.
.
Listen to Genesis…
“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
thou shalt not eat of it:
for in the day that thou eatest thereof
thou shalt surely die.”
Genesis 2:17
.
Adam and his wife did not literally die the moment they ate of the forbidden fruit.
.
But spiritually, they did die that very day!
.
So too, the people of the world have lost our connection with Heaven.
.
Void of God’s Spirit, we now walk in spiritual darkness.
.
We no longer are conformed to the Image of Heaven!
.

AN ANTICHRIST WORLD
.
The following words apply to us today…
“And you hath He quickened (made alive),
who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience…”
Ephesians 2:1, 2

We were once conformed to that “Prince of the Power of the Air”.

His Antichrist spirit dwelt within us.

PILGRIM’S PROGRESS

And so, when God called us to become followers of Christ, we began a spiritual journey out of this world of sin and selfishness.

And God gave us a commission to…
“be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2
.
This above verse reveals in very concise language, just what God expects His people to accomplish as professing Christians!
.
To renew our hearts and minds into the words of truth; into the very Image of the Heavenly!

NOT LETTING HIS CAPTIVES GO
.
But Satan is not going to let us, or our children go peaceably!
.
And by a close association with the words and images of fallen man, Satan can keep us from fulfilling our complete transformation into Christ’s Likeness!

The Bible warns… “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners” 1st Corinthians 15:33
.
Yes, evil communications corrupts the hearts of mankind!
.
Whether we like it or not, we become changed into the image of whatever we fill our minds with.

“And an highway shall be there…and it shall be called The way of holiness…”
Isaiah 35:8
.
The very Good News is, though many of us have been foolish in the past, concerning these things, there is still time enough to change our careless ways!
.
Oh no, there is not a great amount of time.
.
We must hurry along that upward pathway, “The Highway of Holiness”!

“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision,
and make it plain upon tables,
that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time,
but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:
though it tarry, wait for it;
because it will surely come,
it will not tarry.”

Yes, the prophet Habakkuk (and many others) is warning us to “RUN!”

FLEE TO THE MOUNTAIN!

“In the LORD put I my trust:
how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
For, lo, the wicked bend their bow,

And so, O Stranger and Pilgrim, we both must flee from the wrath to come.

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON
.
“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Revelation 12:3
.
In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not. But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars. The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).
