“Is God A ‘Good Cop/Bad Cop’?”

For those of us who grew up on television, the term, “Good Cop/Bad Cop” was a familiar reference to an interrogation method in which one cop portrays himself as a tyrant to the man being interrogated.
For those of us who grew up on television, the term, “Good Cop/Bad Cop” was a .
And then, just at the right moment, another “much nicer” cop steps in, and befriends the man being questioned, in hopes of gaining his trust by means of friendliness and sympathy.

Well, this technique has been a very effective method of extracting information from those who are being, tight-lipped!

INTERROGATORS OF THE PAST
.
And let’s face it, by looking at this photo of medieval torture devices, of it is obvious that history has been filled with men who enthusiastically enjoyed being the “bad cop”!

And much of this cruelty had been meted out by the apostate Christian churches of Europe during those long centuries of the fitly named, “Dark Ages”.

ETERNAL TORMENT
.
And so, it is no surprise that the very same churches which meted out such cruel torture, were also responsible for the false church-doctrine of so-called “Eternal Torment”.

After all, if the rejecters of His love will be cruelly tormented by God in fire and brimstone for all time and eternity, then those cruel European churches looked pretty good, by comparison!

TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT GODS?

But for those who are standing in the Valley of Decision today, it is very confusing to make a decision for or against serving Christ.

Because, it almost seems as if there are two entirely different Gods in the Bible!

Yes, there is the loving and merciful Jesus, who never ever tormented a human!
.
And then, there is that “angry God”, who will mercilessly inflict fiery and painful judgment upon all those who rejected loving Jesus…for ever and ever and ever!!!

So, what is it? Are there two entirely different Deities?

A heavenly Good Cop/Bad Cop, of sorts?

Well, that’s how it seems!

JESUS & HIS FATHER ARE ONE
.
Listen… “Jesus saith unto him,
‘Have I been so long time with you,
and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip?
he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father;
and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?'”
John 14:9
.
Here we see that there is no Good Cop/Bad Cop up there in Heaven!

Jesus and His Father are one!
.
One in purpose! One in love and mercy!
.
As John says… “God is love;
and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God,
and God in him.”
1st John 4:16

“Now, forget everything you’ve learned!”

Now, after Jesus has spent countless hours teaching us to love and sympathize and have compassion for the lost and suffering ones in this world of woe…

…are we actually to believe that we’re not going to shed even one little teardrop for the billions who, supposedly suffering in eternal flames!?!
.
Sounds rather ridiculous, doesn’t it? That’s because it is ridiculous! And unbiblical too!

IGNORING MANY BIBLE PASSAGES
.
The problem is, those who believe this old church-doctrine, do not consider all the many passages in Scripture which say such things as…
.
“Why died I not from the womb?
why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?…
For now should I have lain still and been quiet,
I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
With kings and counsellors of the earth,
which built desolate places for themselves;
Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver…
There (in Hell, or Sheol, or the Grave!) the wicked cease from troubling;
and there the weary be at rest.
There the prisoners rest together;
they hear not the voice of the oppressor.
The small and great are there ;
and the servant is free from his master.”
Job 3:11, 13-15, 17-19
.
This passage presents a vastly different picture of Hell, doesn’t it?
.
And this passage is every bit as much the pure Word of God as is the parable of Lazarus & The Rich Man!
.
And both need to be harmonized to get a proper understanding of the true nature of Hell!

JESUS: BEST ARGUMENT AGAINST ETERNAL TORMENT

But just look at the life of Jesus! His whole life was all about relieving the sufferings of mankind.

GOOD NEWS!
.
Well, the very Good News is that, “His mercy endures forever!”
.
There is no Good Cop/Bad Cop in Heaven!
.
As Jesus is, so is the Father!
.
And you and I will not be forced to endure, throughout eternity, the painful knowledge that billions are being tormented day and night for all the ions of eternity future!
.
It’s all just the product of the ignorance within the apostate churches about what constitutes true Bible interpretation!

STUDY FOR YOUR OWN SELF!

The Bible tells us…
“But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you,
and ye need not that any man teach you:
but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things,
and is truth, and is no lie,
and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.”
1st John 2:27

As it says in the above verse, the indwelling Holy Spirit is well-capable of teaching us all things!

Counting the Sun as the 1st heavenly sphere, the Earth is the 4th heavenly sphere.

If we extend our theory (and it’s just a theory) that God created our solar system to correspond to the commandments, the Sun corresponding to the 1st Commandment…

…then Planet Earth would correspond to the 4th Commandment: the Seventh-day Sabbath.

And so, on the very planet that corresponds to the commandment that exalts the idea of “peace” and “rest”, there exists very little peace. And very little rest. Ironic, isn’t it?
