A FAILED PREDICTION?
.
A few years ago, a certain radio Bible teacher made the seemingly failed prediction that May 21st, 2011 would be the last day of earth’s existence, because of the long-promised return of Christ in the clouds of glory.
.
And of course, when that day came and went, the world began throwing verbal stones at Harold Camping.

A RE-EXAMINATION
.
But let’s examine his supposed false prediction, for a moment. Was Camping really incorrect? And was Harold Camping really a false teacher?
.
If we are truly like those noble Bereans, we might wish to take some time out to re-examine this much-maligned, much-despised Bible teacher.
.
After all, when the entire world begins to throw rocks at a Bible-believing teacher, then perhaps there is some good thing that might be discovered about that Bible teacher…“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in Heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” Matthew 5:11, 12
.
This passage from Matthew’s Gospel reveals that those who give the true Gospel will be hated and maligned by the world. And this was indeed the very reception which Camping received from the world, even prior to that supposed failed prediction!

HABAKKUK’S TARRYING TIME
.
And, as far as a delay, well, just listen to the prophet, Habakkuk…“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the
vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by His (Jesus’) faith.” Habakkuk 2:2, 3
.
So, here we have a prophecy concerning these last days, regarding the time when this vision will speak, causing God’s people to “RUN!”
.
But notice that the Lord tells Habakkuk… “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
.
Yes, Habakkuk’s prophecy to be revealed in these last days will seem to tarry. And yet, for those who live by faith, and not by the pride of their heart, the vision will come, even though it seems to delay. Yes, “it will surely come, it will not tarry!”

NOT A LITERAL 24-HOUR DAY
.
Through his long ministry, Harold Camping always taught that the D
ay of the Lord would NOT be a literal 24-hour period. And so, why Camping went against his previous 50 years of teachings regarding this Last Day timing, is somewhat of a mystery.
.
But he did.
.
And yet, so often, the Bible allows a time of disappointment to test God’s people.
.
For instance, when Jesus was buried, the hopes of His otherwise faithful followers were dashed to pieces. But what they did not understand is, there was to be a tarrying time!
.
Yet, in a short time, the Lord rose up from the dead to become the victorious Savior of the world!
.
Their tears turned into laughter and joy…“Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.” John 16:20
.

“BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH”
Revelation 2:10

And so, God wants His people to remain faithful, even when things don’t seem to go our way! Even when disappointing circumstances bring dark and heavy clouds, obscuring the bright sunshine of His love for a time, we must remain faithful!
.
Make no mistake, O Stranger & Pilgrim of the Cross! The end has come! The Day of the Lord has arrived! The Last Day is here!
.
But it is not a 24-hour day, as Harold Camping supposed! There has been a tarrying time, just as surely as there was for those disciples who supposed that Jesus was a failure!

HABAKKUK VISION NOW SPEAKING
.
But now we see that Satan and his vast armies, made of both humans and evil angels are on the “march through the breadth of the land, to possess dwelling-places (the hearts of Believers) that are not theirs!” Now we see that the horses of the Chaldeans (armies of unbelievers) are “swifter than leopards!” (see Habakkuk, Chapter 1.)
.
Yes, we stare in amazement at the horrific events occurring around the world, realizing that the prophecy of Habakkuk is just now being fulfilled with the speed of leopards!
.
It tarried, and yet, it did not tarry, just as Habakkuk 2:2 prophesied!
.
Listen again…“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

THE DAY of the LORD HAS COME!
.
Yes, dear trembling child of God, the Last Day has indeed come! But it is not going to be a 24-hour event, as Camping erroneously predicted! Oh yes, we’re soon going to wish it was only a 24-hour day! You can be sure of that!
.
But the time before us has been given us, even as a gift from Heaven, to strengthen our faith, even as the faith of Jesus!
.
Listen… “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God (the Bible), AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.” Revelation 14:12
.
This is what the Book of Revelation is all about! Becoming like Jesus! And all our earthly support will be removed! And though the whole world will begin to crumble all around us, we must look up, and lift up our heads, to behold the Savior looking down on us in love!

AM I A NOBLE BEREAN?

And so, as open-minded Noble Bereans, we really need to re-examine Harold 
Camping’s supposed failed prediction in the light of Habakkuk’s prophecy, and the tarrying time foretold. Then it will be discovered that Jesus Christ is now standing as the LORD of Hosts, ready to marshal His vast army of Christian soldiers into the great battle of that great Day, “called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon!” Revelation 16:16
.
And if there’s any “Noble Berean” out there, he or she is welcome to open-mindedly listen to the teachings of Harold Camping found at the bottom of each day’s devotional.

Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

THIS HOLY-GHOST-RIDER

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars
represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE
.
So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ.
.
But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence. Hence, this constellation is perhaps the most faint of all the constellations of Signs Of Heaven!
