Come Out of Her, My People!

Part 20:
“Why Can’t I Escape From Babylon? The Remedy!”

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon,
and deliver every man his soul:
be not cut off in her iniquity;
for this is the time of the LORD’S vengeance;
He will render unto her a recompense.”

CITY OF CONFUSION
.
Babylon was given its name during the building of that infamous Tower of Babylon, because God confused their speech…
.
Listen… “Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” Genesis 11:9
.
And so, the name, Babylon, actually means, “City of Confusion”.

“COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE”
.
Revelation 18:4 pronounces a curse upon all those who refuse to, “Come out of Her (Babylon) My people!”
.
Yes, upon all those who refuse to join the Exodus out of this “City of Confusion”, the apostate churches, the following sentence is pronounced… “Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4
.
And the reader is encouraged to click on and begin reading this series of devotionals called “Come Out of Her, My People”, to gain a fuller understanding of just why God considers today’s churches to be spiritual Babylon.

“ONLY ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SINS!”
Jeremiah 3:13

In Yesterday’s devotional (click here) it was established that we have been drinking of Mystery Babylon’s narcotic-laced wine, to the point that we are un-cognizant of our undone spiritual condition! And the attempt was made to point out the tell-tale 
signs of our apostasy.
.
But once the church-goer is ready to admit his (or her) spiritual inebriation, then and only then can that soul begin the upward journey out of Babylon, the world, and Babylon, the worldly church!
.
(Just like David here, we must humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, pleading for forgiveness and restoration!)

A MATTER OF GRACE
.
Now of course, this spiritual journey away from Babylon can only be accomplished by the help that Heaven can give. Yes, it is only by grace that we can do anything good!
.
(Just like Paul’s conversion to Christianity was by grace, since he wasn’t even looking for true Salvation, when God saved him, on that infamous road to Damascus! (see Acts 9:2))
.
But the mere fact that I have come to the realization that my life is not right as it should be, indicates that maybe, just maybe the Holy Spirit is working on my heart! And that’s Good News!

“GO AND SELL THAT THOU HAST”
.
Now I can quit going to church, but that alone will not solve my dilemma. There has to be a great decision made.
.
And just what is the great decision to be made?
.
Jesus says to each and every one of us…“go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me.” Matthew 19:21
.
You see, Jesus calls each and every one of us to, “Come and follow Me!”
.
But just like the rich young ruler pictured here, Christ counsels us to first, ‘Go and sell that thou hast, and thou shalt have treasure in Heaven!’
.

.
EARTH OR HEAVEN?
.
Yes, it is our privilege and joy to become followers and disciples of Jesus! But this cannot happen until a man, woman, or child is ready to completely live for Heaven! Here is a key ingredient to Salvation, which has been all but lost sight of within the churches of Babylon….
.
Listen again to Jesus…“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33
.
Here is what so few are willing to do! To forsake everything!

A DECISION OF THE HEART!
.
Now this doesn’t necessarily mean that I must immediately trash all my 
belongings. No, but when a person truly receives a new heart, it is like that old song…
.
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus! Look full in His wonderful face! And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace!”
.
Yes, as we continue up the Heaven-ward Pathway, the things of this present world will lose their importance. Oh yes, we must continue to work hard to supply the needs and comforts for our family. But our heart will now become enlightened, and our eyes opened, as we will be spiritually seated together with Christ in His Heavenly Temple.
.

WE MUST CONTINUE IN GOD’S WORD!
.
But the big point to this devotional is that once we become a disciple who has truly
forsaken this present world, our eyes will be opened to see this present world for what it really is! Satan’s kingdom!
.
Listen…If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31, 32
.
Now as true disciples, we may not be instantly set free from our bondage to sin. But this above verse encourages us to “continue in My Word.” In other words, the disciple must persevere the trials that are sure to come his way, if he expects to be set free from sin!

“YE SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION!”
John 16:33
.
And be sure that trials will come! Just like Paul here, rejoicing in his tribulation! Yes, trials will come! This is a very good signal that I am truly on the road to Heaven! But we must continue in Christ’s Word, the Bible. All of the Bible! Hiding His precious promises in our hearts! Learning of Him! Loving to read any and every thing about our great God and Savior in that greatest Book of all books!
.
Now this devotional has not covered some of the other aspects of our conversion, such as separating ourselves from every unwholesome influence. But this website more than covers this subject, and the Reader is encouraged to keep studying the various articles concerning these things.

“ANOINT THINE EYES…THAT THOU MAY SEE”
Revelation 3:18

But the big point today is, that in order for our eyes to be truly opened we must cry out to God to make us His true disciples!
.
(Just like this picture of Christ giving sight to a blind man, so too, Christ gives us spiritual sight!)
.
Listen…“Open Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law.” Psalm 119:18
.
Until we truly become His disciple, we will still remain in partial (or total) darkness!

DOOR OF MERCY STILL AJAR!
.
And so, the invitation goes out today, to come and follow Jesus!
.
This sad ol’ world is about to be burned up! There is nothing here of any value, except the souls of the lost multitudes waiting to behold the Church shine as the Sun!

So let’s let go of this world, and cry out for deliverance! Let’s get on board the Gospel Ship while it is still taking on new passengers!

1st FACE IN THE MOON

“Then the moon shall be confounded (or “ashamed”), and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

As this above verse states, the Moon is a picture of being confounded, as we can see by his sad eyes!
.
But having said all this, why would God speak about the Moon as if it were a person? And why does He say that the Moon will be confounded? How can an inanimate object be confounded (i.e., “perplexed”, “confused”, “amazed”). And why does God refer to the Moon as “her” (“the moon shall not give HER light.” Ezek. 32:7)? Such odd language! But as you read this Moon Into Blood Trilogy, these questions will be answered, plus many more questions, as well.

It’s that proverbial “Man in the Moon”. We’ve always taken it for granted. But now we’re learning that God is responsible for creating this Nocturnal Watchman. You see, God has etched Signs in the Moon, long ago.

A story? Yes. And just now He is revealing those Signs. Just now He is telling that story.

God promised that His covenant with David (who represented Christ) “shall be established for ever as the Moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.” Psalm 89
