GOD WARNS AGAINST USING HUMAN WISDOM

.

Well, the Lord understands our great anguish for our children’s Salvation.

.

But the Bible often warns us against employing compromised, worldly efforts to attempt to win our children over to Christ.

.

So many times, and in so many ways, the Bible repeats its warnings against compromising the purity of the Gospel with the “beggarly elements” of the world. (Galatians 4:9)

.

HOLINESS IN ALL MANNER OF CONDUCT

.

Listen to this next call for purity and holiness, found in 1st Peter 1:15, 16… “But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (lifestyle and words); Because it is written, ‘Be ye holy; for I am holy.'”

.

It’s hard to miss what Peter is saying here. God is wanting holiness in all manner of lifestyle and words…“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;” 1st Peter 4:11

.

This above command from 1st Peter 4:11 would obviously include our children’s entertainment!

“‘BE YE SEPARATE’, SAITH THE LORD!”

.

And for our last admonition regarding purity and holiness, let’s re-examine our signature passage from the top of this page.

.

This passage really helps to clarify our commission from God to separate ourselves from unbelievers, and why we must separate…“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?… Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2nd Corinthians 6:14, 18 (To read the entire passage, refer to the top of this page)

Here above is a crystal-clear injunction from Almighty God, to separate from fellowship with unbelievers. Yes, when conversing with unbelievers, our only desire should be to let our light shine, and to silently pray that they might become saved! That’s all!

WORLDLY FELLOWSHIP VIA WORLDLY ENTERTAINMENT

.

But as far as our children’s reading/viewing programs, this above passage from 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 applies very directly!

.

Because when we allow them to watch or listen to anything with a worldly flavor, we are inadvertently causing them to fellowship with the world! And this above passage is combined with a strong warning that God’s connection with us is dependent upon our obedience to this above command from 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18.

.

Listen again…Wherefore come out from among them (unbelievers), and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18

.

This above command is of critical importance. As a matter of fact, to a great extent, this was what caused the eventual apostasy of ancient Israel: their failure to completely root out unbelievers from among themselves.

SATAN HAS INFILTRATED THE CHURCH-WORLD

.

Well, there are many other places in the Bible which caution Christians against mingling sacred things with common, worldly things.

.

But in this current apostate church-world, Satan has successfully infiltrated the Christian community with an overwhelming flood of worldly compromise.

.

HOLLYWOOD’S “CHURCH MAKE-OVERS”

.

And Hollywood has not been remiss in their efforts to mingle common and unholy things with sacred things!

.

Yes, just think about all the movies which portray a drab, lifeless church finally getting an up-to-date makeover, now playing “hip” praise-music, fashionable dancing choirs, hilarious preaching, and standing-room-only parishioners!

.

“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”

Ephesians 6:4  

.

As already mentioned in Part 1 of this little series, it bears repeating that the parents should make every effort to reflect the loving ways of Jesus to our children. In simpler terms, we must make sure to live with our family in such a way as to show them that Heaven is a place of joy!

.

And the parents need to show much heavenly love for our children. Whether engaging them in their little games and sports, or hugging them often, or just making life in the home nice and breezy.

.

This is an integral part of what it means to “bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”

.

The Christian parents must, kindly, patiently, and gently, guide our children through their childhood in such a way which will cause them to desire, yes, even yearn, to walk side-by-side with us along the joy-filled highways and byways of eternity!  

.

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!”

.

The bottom line to all said in this article is, Satan has brought in his countless abominations into the church-world, bringing the current apostasy to its fullness!

.

And as a result, the Lord is now calling His people out of this Babylonish confusion…“Come out of her (the harlot church), My people, that ye partake NOT of her sins, and receive of her plagues!” Revelation 18:4

.

MY RE-COMMITMENT TODAY

.

Well, this is a really sad and tragic situation in today’s Christianity!

.

But as the old saying goes, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life!”

.

It’s not too late to get rid of the worldliness out of my life, and out of the lives of my children.

.

Yes, if the children are still young, and the Christian parent has a Christian spouse, then there is still time to repent and try to undo the damage done! (For those with an unsaved spouse, there is great encouragement in the form of Bible promises! And by our patience (and silence), we can claim those promises for our family’s Salvation)

.

And yet, for those of us who have failed to live up to the high calling of God in past years, we still have time to repent of our worldliness and turn to the Lord with all our hearts!

.

And by whole-heartedly consecrating Christian parent’s lives to God, and by unceasing prayer for their children, who knows if God might save their children in the end?

.

It’s worth a try, isn’t it?

THE SWINE: “LUST OF THE FLESH”

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1st John 2:16

This article will introduce this third beast-like face, inscribed in the Moon: a swine. And it will be shown that the three beast-like faces in the Moon, represent the concept taught in the above verse concerning “the lust of the flesh…the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life”. 

.

It has become apparent that the second face in the Moon, besides appearing as a wolf-like beast, also appears as a Swine. Let’s explore this concept, for a moment. First of all, when a person sees the second face up in the sky, it’s arguable whether or not it looks like a swine. But it must be conceded that the photos do indeed make it appear as if this character has a “sawed-off” snout like a swine. And of course, a swine is spoken of quite frequently in Scripture.

“GRACE ABOUNDING TO THE CHIEF OF SINNERS”

John Bunyan, the author of the earth-shaking allegorical tale, “Pilgrim’s Progress”, seems to have caught the essence of the meaning behind clean and unclean beasts. He saw why God made a distinction based on the feet as well as the diet of these beasts, as stated in the following Bible verse…

.

“Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth… Nevertheless… the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.” Leviticus 11:2,4,7 

.

Why did God makes the feet and the diet of the beasts of the earth the criterion for this distinction between clean and unclean beasts? How odd!
