SIN MULTIPLYING
.
Why does the sin in this world seem to be multiplying at such an exponential rate?
.
Just look around at all the horrible things now going on?
.
All the hatred!
.
All the trouble-makers forcing their perverted views on others, destroying anyone who doesn’t capitulate!
.
All the sexual perversion!
.
All the kidnappings of men, women, and children around the world!
.
The senseless killings and beheadings and bombings and shootings and stabbings!
.
All the corporate greed and theft!
.
All the divorce!
.
All the political wars between the various factions!
.
All the religious bigotry!
.
All the racial hatred now evident within just about every ethnic group!
.
The world is getting so horrible, that if Christ doesn’t come soon, Mankind may just end up annihilating ourselves!

FILLING UP OUR MEASURE OF SIN

Well, it seems that God is merely giving us all the sin which we love so dearly!
.
Perhaps it is like the little boy whose mother gets tired of cleaning his room. And so, one day, she decides to just close the door, and let her son live in all his filth! Maybe that’s what God is doing with us!

GETTING THEIR FILL OF FLESH
.
There is a story in Numbers, Chapter 11, about the Children of Israel who lusted for flesh to eat.
.
And God brought in quail into the camp and made them eat for an entire month until they were totally sick of that meat!
.
This story seems to be a very real analogy of what’s going on today!
.
That is, God’s people today seem to be getting our fill of sin and selfishness.
.
This world is filling up with just about any and every device of sin conceivable!
.

HIGH-TECH FLOODS OF WICKEDNESS
.
Just think about all the entertainment devices now available! 50-inch televisions for just a few hundred dollars!

Smart phones and tablets in the hands of our children, which often take our children to places that make us cringe and cry out to God for mercy upon them!

EASILY GOTTEN CONSUMPTION

Food and drink in every form, now easily obtainable!

Drugs, tobacco, alcohol are cheap and easily obtained!

Every type of music and entertainment now available at the touch of a button!

EARTHLY MAMMON

Cars, homes, gardens, furniture, appliances, and just about any décor now cheap and available!

We have more than heart could wish! Psalm 73:7

But like the Children of Israel, we are filled with enough worldly mammon to the point that it is “coming out our nostrils” (Numbers 11:20)! Or as they say today, ‘coming out our ears!’

FILLED WITH OUR OWN LUSTS

Yes, it seems as if one of the end-time plagues is “getting our fill of sin and selfishness”!

The Bible says…“The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways:” Proverbs 14:14
.
Here is a giant truth! God allows us to be filled with our own selfish ways.

SIN TAKING US AWAY

And so, as we behold our children being taken away with the sins of this world, we cry out for their deliverance.

The Bible prophesys of this very day…“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:12
.
Yes, the iniquity of Mankind is abounding at an alarming rate!
.
And whatever love there ever was, has now been turned into intolerance and hatred!
.

FLOODS OF UNGODLINESS

Listen…“The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men
made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.” Psalms 18:4, 5

Here is described the sad condition of the world just prior to the Lord’s Return.

And this horrible and sad situation, which is abounding, is what the Bible calls…“The Time of Jacob’s Trouble”.
.
It is a time of prayer and wrestling with God for deliverance: not only for ourselves but also for our family.

THE PROMISE OF DELIVERANCE
.
But the Bible has many promises of deliverance for us during this Time of Trouble…“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.” Psalm 91:5-8

TODAY’S FEATURED HEAVENLY SIGN

SO WHERE ARE THE “MULTITUDES”?…
.
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,” Isaiah 2:2, 3
.
So where are the multitudes in this constellation? Well if you look at this sketch to the right, carefully, you will see an ENTIRE GALAXY making a slow trek up the steep slope toward the summit of one of the mountains. It is the mountain which is to the north in this sketch. This is the galaxy commonly called Andromeda. It is estimated to have possibly a trillion stars! Is a trillion stars a big enough multitude? Oh yes! Listen to God talking to Abraham…

“And He (God) brought him (Abraham) forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” Genesis 15:5
.
But this mountain in which this multitude of stars is climbing represents a very awesome and wonderful Bible concept. This mountain in Scripture is known as Mount Zion. And it is also known as the Mount of Blessing. It represents that spiritual mountain which Believers must climb, in order to reach the City of God.
.
Listen to Scripture… “But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem…To the…church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven…” Hebrews 12:22, 23.
.
Well it sure seems that this verse is correct when it says the words… “which are written in heaven”! Because this galaxy in this constellation group is a wonderful picture of the Church as it makes it trek to the summit of this starry mountain; a picture of God’s Church…His faithful people…written in the heavens. These are the Signs of Heaven, promised long ago to be revealed before that “great and terrible Day of the Lord”…

“And I will show WONDERS IN THE HEAVENS and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.” Joel
