1ST ANGEL’S MESSAGE PROCLAIMED

.

Now, contrary to popular belief, God has not ceased from sending messengers to the world and to the Church.

.

No, in the Book of Revelation, it is prophesied…“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,” Revelation 14:6

.

Here was the message of the 1st angel of Revelation Chapter 14 (and, by the way, the name, “angel” is a Greek word, meaning, “messenger”).

ELLEN GOULD WHITE

This 1st Angel’s message was pointing forward to the ministry of Ellen Gould White.

.

No, she wasn’t a literal angel. But she was a “messenger”, chosen by God to proclaim the everlasting Gospel to the very confused church-world.

.

Yes, the God’s people had gone through centuries of false teachings and even through persecution by the apostate portion of the church-world.

.

The fact is, the church-world had been partially brought out of darkness and misunderstanding by the writings of Luther and other messengers.

.

But Luther did not bring ALL the truth; more truth was needed to be given.

INCREDIBLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

And to proclaim the everlasting Gospel became the mission of Ellen G. White, a little lady of irreproachable character, who accomplished more in her lifetime than humanly possible!

.

Besides writing massive amounts of letters and pages for books each day, over the span of her 70 year ministry, she also orchestrated the building of various Christian colleges, churches, and health-sanitariums.

.

And in her own personal life, she carried on various daily ministries such as bringing food baskets to her poor neighbors and townspeople.

“MARVEL NOT, MY BRETHREN, IF THE WORLD HATE YOU!”

Now because of all her good works, one might imagine that she would be lauded with praise by the world, and by the church-world.

.

But exactly the opposite response was given. No, Satan has waged an extremely successful campaign against Ellen White over almost the last two centuries, to destroy her reputation, and even to destroy her message.

.

WHITE PROCLAIMED BOTH TESTAMENTS

.

But what most people don’t realize is that Ellen White was given the commission to preach the everlasting Gospel found in both Testaments, Old and New.

.

Thus are found many statements in her writings which have an Old Testament flavor to them. Oh yes, much or perhaps most of her writings are filled with paraphrases of the New Testament, as well!

.

And just like the Bible, E. G. White’s writings contain both Testaments. That is the “everlasting Gospel” to be preached to the whole world, prophesied in Revelation 14:6...“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth…”

.

And as already stated, she wasn’t an angel, but a mere fallible human. Her ministry, however, was symbolized by “an angel flying in the midst of heaven.”

And more than slandering her because of her Old Testament statements, Satan even managed to drum up many false charges against White’s almost spotless life. From the charge that she didn’t follow her own health message, to the charge of plagiarism, Satan has been able to destroy the messenger and even much of her message, to a great extent.

And Satan has even raised up several so-called “cults”, which have similar characteristics to White’s ministry, which has only further confused the public and the Church, creating a great big stigma against her as well as against her writings.

AUDIO BOOK CHAPTERS AT PAGE BOTTOM

Well, at the bottom of each of these Year-4 daily devotionals, are audio chapters of some of her books, beginning with the 44-chapter book, “The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan”. And no, it is definitely not an infallibly inspired book as is the Bible. But it nevertheless gives a brief, but a very eye-opening insight into the history of the Church through the last two thousand years.

And all those who consider themselves to be “Noble Bereans”, will want to listen to these daily audio book chapters, so that they can pursue truth by investigating this wonderful, but very much neglected and despised message with an open-minded search for Bible truth!
