The House of the Devil’s Chains

“One day there came a stranger, by the shores of Galilee. Some say He came to give His life to set the captives free! To set the captives free!

“And, they claim He left a throne above, came down to this world of sin. To call us all, “Come follow Me” to Heaven’s Promised Land!  To Heaven’s Promised Land!

“Now the only life a sinner loves is to live it selfishly. But the only time he’ll find true peace of mind, is if that Stranger sets him free! If that Stranger sets him free!

“O mothers, fathers, tell your children, “Don’t you live in guilt and shame! Don’t spend your lives in sin and misery in The House of the Devil’s Chains!”

Well, there is a house in this dark world, and it’s called, “The house of Chains”. And it’s been the ruin of many-a lost soul, and God I know I was one!

“But now I’m walking up that road that goes, from his prison-house of sin, And I pray I’ll ne’re return to wear his heavy chains again!

Well, one day there came a Savior, to set the captives free. He was crucified and bled and died for sinners like you and me…and only He can set you free!”
