Look For The Light At The End of the Tunnel?

Do you see the optical illusion?
.
Doesn’t this spider web photo appear as a tunnel?
.
Well, if you go surfing through the world-wide web for pictures of spider webs, they often do have the appearance of being a tunnel (well, the good ones do).
.
And it is not hard to imagine that this 3-dimensional, tunnel-like, optical-illusion, fools the little bug into thinking that he (or she) is going through a tunnel, when he (or she) is actually flying into a deadly trap!

LOOK FOR THE LIGHT
.
Have you ever heard that well-known saying by those who are involved in spiritualism: “Look for the light at the end of the tunnel”?
.
It kind-of reminds one of this photo of a spider-web, with its host. Doesn’t this mantra about looking for the light at the end of the tunnel take on a real dramatic significance, when you look at this photo? And just like this spider-web, so also, those who dabble in such magic arts will eventually discover that the light and also the tunnel of their spiritualism, was just an optical illusion too, just like this spider-web photo.

Well, spiritualism isn’t the only ideology which claims to be a light at the end of the tunnel.
.
Actually, there are many ideologies (and some of them “Christian”), which promise to be a light at the end of the tunnel, but are in reality, just a trap!

ATHEISM’S WEB
.
Just look at atheism for instance. Yes, atheism claims to be a light at the end of the tunnel.
.
Oh no, nobody actually phrases it that way. But this godless philosophy cloaks itself with evolutionary “science” (so-called science), and with humanitarianism, and psychiatry, psychology, and other modern ideologies.
.
And by thus-doing, atheism masks its hopelessness with “garments of light”, you might say.

ATHEISM LIKE A DEADLY SPIDER!
.
But as we know, atheism is a slow and silent killer.
.
It first deadens its victims, much like a spider injects its paralyzing poison into its guests (victims). And then it wraps them in silky rope-like cords, until the little bug is totally helpless.
.
And then finally, the poor atheist-victim goes hopelessly crying into the grave, never to be heard of again!
.

MANY STRANDS IN A SPIDER’S WEB
.
Just as there are many vertical and horizontal strands of silk, in a spider’s netting, so too, are there many traps one can fall into in this world of sin and deceit.
.
Drugs, for instance, and alcohol are two of the most commonly recognized traps for naïve ones to fall into.
.
But there are many more subtle “silken threads” in Satan’s delusions. Worldly music, for instance, can become an all-consuming addiction for many, today. The sins of Sodom is another.

JUDGMENT DAY IS ALSO SATAN’S WEB
.
“And take heed to yourselves,
lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting,
and drunkenness,
and cares of this life,
and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always,
that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man.”
Luke 21:34-36

This above passage from the Gospel of Luke warns of a giant spider web, which looms just before us today! It is the spider web called “the Days of Vengeance”, or the “Day of the Lord”. And Satan is just now preparing his world-wide spider web for that very day! And if there was ever a time for the people of the world to beware, it is now! (see Luke 21:22 & Joel 1:15, etc…)

CHURCH MISSES JUDGMENT DAY?
.
There are many Christians being lulled to sleep by hearing, over and over, again and again, that they don’t need to be concerned about that “great and terrible day of the Lord”.
.
“No”, they say, “Judgment Day is just for the world! You won’t even be here! You’ll be taken out of the world before that day.”
.
In essence, these preachers of, “peace and safety”, are saying,“You have nothing to worry about! Just look for the light at the end of the tunnel!”
.
And so, many sleepy-eyed Christians go about, as if we have not a care in the world!
.
But all the while, Satan lurks in the shadows, just waiting for the moment when we get caught in that terrible trap, and he can then inject his deadening poison into our veins; just waiting to wrap us in his silken cords of deceit!
.

Yes, dear stranger & pilgrim in this world, don’t fall asleep, only to awaken in Satan’s 
world-wide spider web, which he is now constructing.

As Bunyan’s Pilgrim-tale warned, “We are on enchanted ground!”
.
Satan has remodeled this horrible world, giving it a make-over designed to allure unsuspecting Christians into believing that there’s much good here!
.
Clubs, careers, humanitarianism, sports, pleasures, hobbies, ambitions, “worldly dreams”, indulgences, TV, radio, and a host of other earthly pursuits, are merely those silken cords in Satan’s web of deceit.

ON ENCHANTED GROUND!
.
Oh this world has so many innocent, yes, even good things!
.
“Come!”, say the many voices in seeming unison, “Come join in with us! Have a good time! Bring your kids, too! There’s so much to enjoy in this world!”
.
But don’t believe it, dear precious soul! It’s all just a big lie! And many-a-Christian has been drawn into & ensnared by the seemingly endless captivating worldly pursuits, and all-consuming lifestyles.
.
And just like a spider-web, the Christian takes himself and his family into this theme-park-like world, to the ultimate hurt or even loss of the soul.

Oh yes, one must work, and provide food and shelter for one’s family.
.
But even good things can be taken to excess.
.
And God knows our heart. He can see when we are beginning to make idols out of these things.
.
And that Christian’s spirituality slowly decays until it is nothing more than a quasi-Christian prosperity gospel.
