Well, this concept of getting out of Dodge is nothing new!

Even back in the days of Lot, Abraham’s nephew, God warned him to “get out of Dodge!”

But of course, back in those days, “Dodge” was actually called “Sodom and Gomorrah”.

Yes, the day finally came in which things had devolved into such sad and horrible decadence, that God’s wrath was finally ready to be poured upon the four cities of Sodom!

THE SAD FORMER “REFORMATION NATIONS”

Sadly, we have reached that fateful day in which the destruction of Sodom will be repeated!

And the very nations which once enthusiastically embraced the Christian Reformation, have all but turned away from the Gospel of Christ and are now receiving their just recompense from God Almighty!

It’s such a sad ending for these once-great nations! It makes us want to cry!

SODOM RISING ONCE AGAIN!

Destruction and spiritual bankruptcy have replaced the love of Christ in those once-faithful nations!

Secularism and dead religions have been allowed to move in and take control of those spiritually dead nations!

The great multitudes are now in spiritual darkness!

And Sodom and Gomorrah are once again rising up all around God’s perplexed people!

SCHOOLS OF SODOM!

And the once-trusted institutions, such as school systems and libraries, are now teaching children such things as atheism, evolution, Socialist Marxism, and now even beginning to aggressively push Sodomy and even neo-racism!

Yes, there is a movement afoot to endorse and even encourage your children to embrace sodomy in its various forms. And just as the men of Sodom tried to force themselves on Lot’s heaven-sent guests, society is now beginning to press this heinous and unhappy lifestyle upon your children!

.

And if God destroyed that city because men attempted to force themselves upon grown beings, then how much more upon a society that is forcing its perversions upon relatively innocent little children?

“He cast upon them the fierceness of His anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.”

Psalm 78:49

But God is purposely allowing this to go forth!

A myriad of unseen “evil angels” are now marshaling all the governments, learning institutions, and corporations in a concerted effort to force the public to bow down to these devilish, antichrist ideologies! (“He cast upon them the fierceness of His anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.” Psalm 78:49)

And it is God’s purpose to give His people a loud wake-up call to get their children out of this horrible situation before they become brainwashed into these evil ideologies!

In other words, “It’s time to get out of Dodge”, as the saying goes!

HIGH-PRICED CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS

And the sad fact is, that almost all Christian children attend public schooling!

.

It would have been really nice if the churches had started a volunteer program in which parents could have taken turns operating a very low-cost schooling.

.

But instead, churches hired professionals to run their schools, instead of using church facilities, often in expensive buildings with high upkeep, which resulted in costly monthly tuition, which few could afford, especially families with several school-age children!

.

RACISM NOW BEING TAUGHT AND ENCOURAGED

Tragically, Satan, in his role as The False Prophet, has been permitted to speak, “as a dragon”. (Revelation 13:11).

.

And so, this unseen spirit of antichrist works through the various media Goliaths to force the world to bow down to his unchristlike qualities.

.

And he even is speaking as a dragon in today’s schools, not only pushing various antichrist ideologies, such as atheistic socialism, etc….

.

But not content with these ideologies, Satan has begun to rewrite history to make it seem that the USA was founded on racism. And school children are now being taught that skin color determines that they are inferior in one way or another.

.

Such a great lie is not only teaching dishonesty but will undoubtedly create hatred and distrust in the hearts of schoolchildren against their own fellow classmates!

.

THE HIGHEST CALLING!

. 

But there is no higher calling than for parents to bring up their children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4

.

And if there is any way possible, caring parents should attempt to home-school their children even if it means giving up any and every luxury!

.

Some Christian parents are forming home-schooling groups. And an increasing number of on-line home-school programs are now being offered. 

.

And at the very least, even to just sit down daily with the children after they return from public schooling, encouraging them, by example, to learn to love reading!

.

Nevertheless, to get them as far away as possible from public school is by far, the best option!

.

This intimate daily reading circle would probably produce incredible results! (of course, the best Book is the Bible!)

FIRST FIND ORION & 7 STARS

.

The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper).

.

These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (7 Stars).

.

And just as these are the easiest constellations to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).

.

These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

“WE ARE TRAVELING TO THE PROMISED LAND”

VERSE 1: We are traveling to the Promised Land…on a road just pilgrims can see?…

And we’re calling all, ‘Won’t you come along, To that Land where we will be forever free?”

VERSE 2: All ye weary ones, come on along…and leave this land of heartache and pain?

You have nothing to lose and all to gain…free from sorrow and sin’s heavy chains!

VERSE 3: In that land we’ll never grow old…where milk and honey like rivers flow!

Where the bells of freedom forever will ring, and the songs of life forever we’ll sing!

VERSE 4: Stars will guide us on our heavenward trail, the Cross of Orion will point out the Way

And the face of the Moon enlightens the night, till we reach that Land of forever Dei!

VERSE 5: Bring no silver or gold in your hand…Never a price to enter that Land.

It has all been paid by nail-pierc-ed hands, and the precious blood of the heaven-sent Lamb!

“We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude. 9T 11.1

“The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones. 9T 11.2

“The condition of things in the world shows that troublous times are right upon us. The daily papers are full of indications of a terrible conflict in the near future. Bold robberies are of frequent occurrence. Strikes are common. Thefts and murders are committed on every hand. Men possessed of demons are taking the lives of men, women, and little children. Men have become infatuated with vice, and every species of evil prevails. 9T 11.3

The enemy has succeeded in perverting justice and in filling men’s hearts with the desire for selfish gain. “Justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59:14. In the great cities there are multitudes living in poverty and wretchedness, well-nigh destitute of food, shelter, and clothing; while in the same cities are those who have more than heart could wish, who live luxuriously, spending their money on richly furnished houses, on personal adornment, or worse still, upon the gratification of sensual appetites, upon liquor, tobacco, and other things that destroy the powers of the brain, unbalance the mind, and debase the soul. The cries of starving humanity are coming up before God, while by every species of oppression and extortion men are piling up colossal fortunes. 9T 11.4

On one occasion, when in New York City, I was in the night season called upon to behold buildings rising story after story toward heaven. These buildings were warranted to be fireproof, and they were erected to glorify their owners and builders. Higher and still higher these buildings rose, and in them the most costly material was used. Those to whom these buildings belonged were not asking themselves: “How can we best glorify God?” The Lord was not in their thoughts. 9T 12.1

I thought: “Oh, that those who are thus investing their means could see their course as God sees it! They are piling up magnificent buildings, but how foolish in the sight of the Ruler of the universe is their planning and devising. They are not studying with all the powers of heart and mind how they may glorify God. They have lost sight of this, the first duty of man.” 9T 12.2

As these lofty buildings went up, the owners rejoiced with ambitious pride that they had money to use in gratifying self and provoking the envy of their neighbors. Much of the money that they thus invested had been obtained through exaction, through grinding down the poor. They forgot that in heaven an account of every business transaction is kept; every unjust deal, every fraudulent act, is there recorded. The time is coming when in their fraud and insolence men will reach a point that the Lord will not permit them to pass, and they will learn that there is a limit to the forbearance of Jehovah. 9T 12.3

The scene that next passed before me was an alarm of fire. Men looked at the lofty and supposedly fire-proof buildings and said: “They are perfectly safe.” But these buildings were consumed as if made of pitch. The fire engines could do nothing to stay the destruction. The firemen were unable to operate the engines. 9T 13.1

I am instructed that when the Lord’s time comes, should no change have taken place in the hearts of proud, ambitious human beings, men will find that the hand that had been strong to save will be strong to destroy. No earthly power can stay the hand of God. No material can be used in the erection of buildings that will preserve them from destruction when God’s appointed time comes to send retribution on men for their disregard of His law and for their selfish ambition. 9T 13.2

There are not many, even among educators and statesmen, who comprehend the causes that underlie the present state of society. Those who hold the reins of government are not able to solve the problem of moral corruption, poverty, pauperism, and increasing crime. They are struggling in vain to place business operations on a more secure basis. If men would give more heed to the teaching of God’s word, they would find a solution of the problems that perplex them. 9T 13.3

The Scriptures describe the condition of the world just before Christ’s second coming. Of the men who by robbery and extortion are amassing great riches, it is written: “Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.” James 5:3-6. 9T 13.4

But who reads the warnings given by the fast-fulfilling signs of the times? What impression is made upon worldlings? What change is seen in their attitude? No more than was seen in the attitude of the inhabitants of the Noachian world. Absorbed in worldly business and pleasure, the antediluvians “knew not until the Flood came, and took them all away.” Matthew 24:39. They had heaven-sent warnings, but they refused to listen. And today the world, utterly regardless of the warning voice of God, is hurrying on to eternal ruin. 9T 14.1

The world is stirred with the spirit of war. The prophecy of the eleventh chapter of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment. Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place. 9T 14.2

“Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof…. Because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate…. The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.” Isaiah 24:1-8. 9T 14.3

“Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come…. The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down, for the corn is withered. How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.” “The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.” Joel 1:15-18, 12. 9T 15.1

“I am pained at my very heart; … I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled.” Jeremiah 4:19, 20. 9T 15.2

“I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down.” Verses 23-26. 9T 15.3

“Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.” Jeremiah 30:7. 9T 15.4

Not all in this world have taken sides with the enemy against God. Not all have become disloyal. There are a faithful few who are true to God; for John writes: “Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Revelation 14:12. Soon the battle will be waged fiercely between those who serve God and those who serve Him not. Soon everything that can be shaken will be shaken, that those things that cannot be shaken may remain. 9T 15.5

Satan is a diligent Bible student. He knows that his time is short, and he seeks at every point to counterwork the work of the Lord upon this earth. It is impossible to give any idea of the experience of the people of God who shall be alive upon the earth when celestial glory and a repetition of the persecutions of the past are blended. They will walk in the light proceeding from the throne of God. By means of the angels there will be constant communication between heaven and earth. And Satan, surrounded by evil angels, and claiming to be God, will work miracles of all kinds, to deceive, if possible, the very elect. God’s people will not find their safety in working miracles, for Satan will counterfeit the miracles that will be wrought. God’s tried and tested people will find their power in the sign spoken of in Exodus 31:12-18. They are to take their stand on the living word: “It is written.” This is the only foundation upon which they can stand securely. Those who have broken their covenant with God will in that day be without God and without hope. 9T 16.1

The worshipers of God will be especially distinguished by their regard for the fourth commandment, since this is the sign of God’s creative power and the witness to His claim upon man’s reverence and homage. The wicked will be distinguished by their efforts to tear down the Creator’s memorial and to exalt the institution of Rome. In the issue of the conflict all Christendom will be divided into two great classes, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, and those who worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark. Although church and state will unite their power to compel all, “both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond,” to receive the mark of the beast, yet the people of God will not receive it. Revelation 13:16. The prophet of Patmos beholds “them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God,” and singing the song of Moses and the Lamb. Revelation 15:2. 9T 16.2

Fearful tests and trials await the people of God. The spirit of war is stirring the nations from one end of the earth to the other. But in the midst of the time of trouble that is coming,—a time of trouble such as has not been since there was a nation,—God’s chosen people will stand unmoved. Satan and his host cannot destroy them, for angels that excel in strength will protect them. 9T 17.1

God’s word to His people is: “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, … and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters.” “Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 2 Corinthians 6:17, 18; 1 Peter 2:9. God’s people are to be distinguished as a people who serve Him fully, wholeheartedly, taking no honor to themselves, and remembering that by a most solemn covenant they have bound themselves to serve the Lord and Him only. 9T 17.2

“The Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily My Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: everyone that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.” Exodus 31:12-17. 9T 17.3

Do not these words point us out as God’s denominated people? and do they not declare to us that so long as time shall last, we are to cherish the sacred, denominational distinction placed upon us? The children of Israel were to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations “for a perpetual covenant.” The Sabbath has lost none of its meaning. It is still the sign between God and His people, and it will be so forever.

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced.

And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration, regarding another area of concern.

Let’s look at the key Bible passage… “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10, 11

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

.

OK, so these in Berea were more noble, because they: 

.

1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.” 

.

2. “And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And so, these Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.

.

Yes, there was an open-mindedness which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to continue searching the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!

A FAILED PREDICTION?

.

A few years ago, a certain radio Bible teacher made the seemingly failed prediction that May 21st, 2011 would be the last day of earth’s existence, because of the long-promised return of Christ in the clouds of glory.

.

And of course, when that day came and went, the world began throwing verbal stones at Harold Camping.

.

But in reality, nothing failed!

.

No, nothing in Camping’s prediction failed! But God purposely allowed this tarrying-time to awaken His sleeping saints, to prepare them to stand in the Day of the Lord!

.

MANY FALSE ACCUSATIONS

Yes, Harold Camping was accused of being a false teacher, all for the sake of getting rich.

 

.

But those who knew him, fully understood that this dedicated Bible teacher was a very spiritual servant of God: a man who cared nothing for the riches of this world!

.

But rather, Camping loved the heavenly riches found only in the study of God’s Word, the Bible!

.

ONLY A FLASH IN THE PAN

.

Much of this world only got a brief glimpse of this faithful Bible teacher whose short brush with world-wide notoriety was nothing more than, “A flash in the pan”, as the saying goes.

.

And yet, Harold Camping studied the Bible for hours each day, prior to a daily Bible study and a 90 minute nightly call-in radio talk show. And armed with nothing more than a King James Bible, and a memory of so much of the Bible, Camping answered the many questions about the Bible, night after night for 5 long decades.

.

But of course, having only a very brief encounter with Harold Camping, the public and world knew very little about this wisp of a man, with a deep and booming voice, proclaiming the end of the world!

5 OR 6 HOUR STUDIES PER DAY

But God had raised up Camping, and He gave this former construction-engineer-turned-Bible-teacher, a vast knowledge of the Bible, made possible by his 5 or 6 hours per day comparing Scripture with Scripture, to try to understand more and more of what the Bible is saying to Mankind.

COME OUT OF BABYLON!

.

Now one of the greatest messages which God gave to Harold Camping was the message to, “Come out of her (Babylon) My people!”

.

This great call is found in Revelation 18:4, and is one of the last great messages that was to be given to the world, prior to the end of the world!

ECLIPSED BY END-OF-WORLD MESSAGE

But this message became totally eclipsed by Camping’s announcement of the end of the world! The world was caught by surprise, when Family Radio decided to send out this message with as much “Shock & Awe” as possible!

.

Camping knew he was taking a big risk! He knew that Family Radio was probably going to disintegrate because all of its assets would be depleted in the vast advertising campaign to trumpet the announcement of the end of the world!  But Camping totally believed his mathematical calculations which he had studied for years in the Bible calendars. And so, he was totally convinced of the world’s end. 

.

But because the world’s attention became so arrested by that announcement, and the shortness of time to the much-anticipated date of May 21, 2011, all those years of Camping’s radio ministry were gobbled up by the loud trumpet sounds announcing the end of the world!

THE WORLD MOCKED ON!

.

But God knew all this and allowed that fateful day to come and go without incident. And then, the entire world turned its guns back on Camping, and his supposed failed prediction.

.

Even religious ministries and at least one Bible college made YouTube videos, mocking Camping, often making fun of his looks.

.

Well, Camping’s seemingly failed prediction, and all the resulting societal vengeance was more than Camping could take. And shortly after, he had a massive stroke, rendering him almost unable to carry on his radio ministry. And after another year or so, Camping died.

.

GOD ALLOWED THIS TARRYING TIME

.

But as already mentioned, God purposely allowed all this to happen, in order to complete His last call for His people to come out of the apostate churches, and to come out of the wickedness which the entire world is now steeped in.

.

Yes, what Harold Camping did not understand was, that God has one final agenda to fulfill, prior to the end: the glorification of His faithful remnant, the Church Elect!

.

And God was not going to end the world without completely annihilating Satan’s kingdom! Yes, Satan’s kingdom must be completely toppled prior to the end, and God will use His glorified outcasts from the fallen church-world to accomplish that victory over Satan and his evil government.

THE CHURCH-ELECT WILL SHINE!

.

That’s right, God is not going to allow the Devil to hold God’s people captive in our semi-diseased spiritual condition! And the grand finale to the world’s encounter with Judgment Day, will be the moment of glory in which His Elect will shine with all the brightness of the Sun, for all the world to behold!

.

This is the 7th and final plague to be poured out upon this unbelieving and defiant world, just prior to the end! The Church-Elect will shine with Christlike brightness, totally blinding the inhabitants of this Sodom & Gomorrah world! The Cross will finally be uplifted, for all the world to behold!

.

And so, this is why May 21st, 2011 came and went without incident.

.

But now, the message is going out to God’s people to put away all our worldly idols and affections, and go to work while there is still time, to finally prepare to shine for all the onlooking world to behold!

.

“COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE!”

And so, this great message of Revelation 18 is the one missing piece from Harold Camping’s ministry, which has yet to be presented to God’s faithful ones.

And yet, God had faithfully preserved this great message to His people. Yes, this call to come out of spiritual Babylon can be fully understood by merely listening to that great swan-song Bible study of the Book of Jeremiah. And this 600+ 25 minute daily Bible study can be downloaded off the Internet, and shared with any one willing to listen with Berean-like nobility and childlike open-mindedness!

So the challenge goes out to any professing Christian to prove that he (or she) is truly a Noble Berean, and stop letting others dictate to him what he must believe and must not believe…

Listen…“O My people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” Isaiah 3:12

Yes, as it reveals in the above verse, it is the Church leaders who mislead God’s people!

.

But just because the world cannot understand that there has been a tarrying time in the Bible’s end-of-the-world prophecy concerning the “Last Day”, that doesn’t necessitate that we too must remain in ignorance concerning these things!

.

And all a truth-seeking Berean has to do is to begin the painless process of listening to a 25 minute Bible study each morning, and test and see for one’s own self!

BIBLE VERSES PICTURED IN THE HEAVENS

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star. It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

THIS HOLY-GHOST-RIDER

.

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE

.

So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ.

.

But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence. Hence, this constellation is perhaps the most faint of all the constellations of Signs Of Heaven!

One of the chief criticisms of Ellen G. White has been regarding her teachings on vegetarianism.

.

And she cited Genesis as a proof text, in which Man’s original diet was to be fruit, nuts, seeds and herbs, of which God pronounced to be “very good”.

.

But many Christians are quick to point out that the New Testament never commands nor even suggests that we are to abstain from meat-eating.

BIBLE HAS TEMPERANCE MESSAGE

But the Bible does command us thus…“Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning! Blessed art thou, O land, when thy King is the Son of Nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!” Ecclesiastes 10:16, 17

.

Here is a call for temperance in diet. One group of princes “feast in the morning”, while another group eat “in due season, for strength”.

.

While this above passage has great spiritual implications, the physical earthly interpretation cannot be overlooked. After all, to “eat in due season, for strength and not for drunkenness” is the very essence of a healthy diet!

THE ORIGINAL DIET: FRUIT & HERBS

.

And so, Ellen White’s counsels on good health practices were very much in harmony with Scripture. And as already mentioned, while the New Testament does not command vegetarianism, the Book of Genesis does indeed reveal that vegetarianism was the original and everlasting diet which God gave to Mankind.

.

And it must be remembered, the original diet will also be the everlasting diet in the “New Heaven and a New earth”.

.

And so, for this reason, Ellen White felt very strongly that vegetarianism was one of the fundamental elements of a healthful lifestyle.

JESUS, THE WAY, TRUTH & LIFE

.

Now having said all this, it must not be overlooked that God has given us a great role-model for all matters of life: Jesus Christ.

And Jesus proclaims of Himself…“I am the way, the truth, and the life…” John 14:6

.

Yes, we are commanded to follow Jesus. He is “the Way!” And He is “the Life!”

JESUS: A LIFE OF HEALTH

.

And the closer we examine His lifestyle, it appears that Jesus was extremely healthy. After all, his earlier life as a physical laborer (a carpenter), plus the countless miles he traveled on foot during His years of earthly ministry both indicate that Jesus was a very strong and healthy individual (and don’t forget that He spent his last years living totally outdoors on a 24/7 basis).

.

And yet, as we examine the very basic lifestyle of Jesus in the four Gospels, we see that Jesus ate fish. So obviously Jesus’ meat-eating didn’t seem to hamper His health in the least little bit!

“COME AND FOLLOW ME!”

And so, while vegetarianism may indeed be one of the key fundamental ingredients to God’s original plan, we need never be afraid of imitating the lifestyle of Jesus: His active lifestyle of fasting, outdoor exercise combined with a simple diet of fish, fruit, whole-grain bread, water, etc., worked well for our divine Role-Model. And we would probably do well to also imitate Jesus in this area of our life, which would no doubt result in our greater degree of health.

And truth-be-told, Ellen White would no doubt agree with these things. As a matter of fact, she freely acknowledged that she also ate fish at various times in her long life.

THE WINTER CONSTELLATIONS

This Woman of Revelation 12 is definitely fleeing to the mountains . As you can see in this sketch , The Dragon of Revelation 12 is spewing out his water of falsehoods: false gospels, false ideologies, various temptations, false brethren who will embrace her with the poisonous wine of the The Great Harlot of Babylon. These are what comprise this wave of water coming forth from the Dragon’s mouth. (see “Flood Waters of Satan”)

Today’s Bible teachers and theologians try their best to deny and cover up the fact historical records give Cyrus I. Scofield credit for popularizing this false doctrine of the “Pre-Tribulation Rapture”, first invented by another 19th-century false Bible teacher, one John Darby of The Plymouth Brethren denomination.

.

Today’s Bible teachers/theologians would love you to believe that the name “The Rapture” is the proper biblical name for Christ’s Return. But the fact is, in the New Testament centuries prior to these two men, the God-given, biblical name, “The Coming of the Lord” was correctly used. (See 1st Thessalonians, 4:15)

“As also in all his epistles, (Paul) speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction”

What Scofield and Darby did, was to presumptuously take the two words from 1st Thessalonian 4:17, the words, “caught up”, and their Greek counterpart, “harpazo”, and changed “harpazo” into its Latin counterpart, “ripere”, (taken from an obscure Catholic Latin Bible), which is the Latin root for another English word, “rapture”, which, originally, was most commonly defined as being “in a state of euphoria”. Then, they morphed “caught up”, a verb into a proper noun, creating a new, exotic-sounding title, “The Rapture”.

.

Thus, by such heretical wrestling with Scripture, Scofield/Darby then began to promote the idea that Christ would “rapture” His Church out of the world, just prior to the prophecies of Revelation being fulfilled.

And so, by such twisting of Scripture, Scofield/Darby now invented TWO second “Coming(s) of the Lord”, instead of the Biblical pronouncement of only one! And thus was coined the name, “The Pretribulation Rapture”, and the second return, using the God-given name for the event, “The Coming of the Lord” on “the last day”.

.

Consequently, the Christian world was now being taught that there were, not one, but TWO separate returns of Christ! And if you missed out on the Christ’s first return, you now would have a second chance!

.

So, let’s just “cut-to-the-chase”, as the saying goes, and somewhat dissect our signature verse…

So here it says that the Coming of the Son of Man will be like the days of Noah: it was “business as usual” in the world: eating drinking, marrying, etc….

And then, the flood came and took them (the rejecters of God’s plea to get into the Ark) all away in that watery deluge.

But Jesus now compares this to the Coming of the Son of Man: “…so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” 

.

Okay, so who was taken away in Noah’s flood? “they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away;”

.

So, it was those who continued enjoying the things of the world, being too busy to be bothered with getting aboard the Ark of safety. These worldly-minded ones were taken away!

.

And so, who will be taken when Jesus comes as a “thief in the night?” Listen to Luke’s Gospel, as God makes a similar statement…

Luk 17:35  Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:36  Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:37  And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

.

So in this passage, Jesus’ disciples actually ask “Where, Lord?” They obviously were asking where were the ones being taken.To this, Jesus replied…”Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.” In other words, the ones being taken were taken to be destroyed, consumed by eagles! And the ones being left were left in the field, or left grinding at the mill!

In the late 1930’s, one of the most powerful productions came forth from the smokestacks of Hollywood’s newly formed, movie-machinery!

.

Yes, the Wizard of Oz was a truly incredible work of unforgettable and magical imagery, which has since made a tremendous impact upon movie fans around the world!

.

In it, little fresh-faced Dorothy of Kansas captured the hearts of millions, as she and her three companions sought after the seemingly divine providence of the awesome and dreadful Wizard of Oz!

But like so many other false ideas emanating from this world, Lucifer’s Kingdom of Babylon, the story of the Wizard of Oz was no exception.

And today’s devotional is dedicated to exposing just one of those lies/myths.

And this lie is concerning the Tin Woodsman, who was lacking a heart, and joined Dorothy’s pilgrimage to seek after the Wizard’s providence.

WIZARD OF OZ: SECULAR WORLD’S ANSWER TO PILGRIM’S PROGRESS

.

Oh yes, that magical movie, The Wizard of Oz, captivated the hearts of movie-fans for decades, because it was so charming, colorful, and masterfully-produced!

.

And yet, as wonderful as it seemed, it nevertheless was actually just a cheap “knock-off” of John Bunyan’s allegorical tale, Pilgrim’s Progress.

.

And it was actually just the mirror-opposite of Bunyan’s book, in that it directed the movie audience back down to this present world, instead of upward, to Heaven, as did Bunyan’s tale.

.

In other words, the far-away Land of Oz was really just a cleverly disguised version of this world.

.

And the Wizard was nothing more than an atheist’s version of a non-existent God.

.

And the Wizard telling the Tin Man that he didn’t need a heart because he already had one, was just another deceitful lie by the “god of this world”! (see 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

.

Yes, there are multitudes who would like us to believe that we humans can have inherent goodness apart from God! 

.

THE HUMAN HEART: DECEITFUL & DESPERATELY WICKED!

It’s just like some songsters sang back in the 1970’s, “But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn’t already have!”

The Bible informs us that the human heart, “is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

But while many unconverted citizens of this, the Devil’s world, have been deluded by that Master-Deceiver into believing they possess a loving heart…

…but there are many others who, like the Tin Man, realize they have a loveless heart.

Often these heartless ones are diagnosed by the psychiatric community as being “sociopaths”, lacking any love and lacking a conscience to some degree.

.

But truth-be-told, the hour is coming in which all those who have not been truly Born Again will be fully made aware that they too are in need of a heart!

.

Yes, the frightful hour is coming in which God will allow the entire world to reveal just how evil and loveless we fallen humans really are!

And as we know, Jesus, our Savior had a heart of infinite love!

How To Spend My Retirement Years

.

.

Many people in their 50’s and 60’s are getting ready for retirement.

.

And many of these are trying to decide just how will they spend those years…“Shall I take up golfing, or maybe fishing, or some other hobby?”

.

Others are considering finding some minor occupation.

.

Maybe becoming a gardener or a big-box-store greeter.

.

Just some little job merely to keep one’s self busy!

.

Many have saved enough money over the years to travel. And there are countless wonderful places to visit, enough to keep traveling for years!

.

Still others plan to spend their remaining years with family and friends.

.

And then there are those who plan to become snowbirds, going down south during the winter months, and then going back north for the summer months.

.

And then there are others who simply want to putter around the house, doing various little projects and perhaps watch some TV and go to a movie or restaurant several times a week.

.

Now these are just some of the typical ways that people wish to spend their declining years.

NO CONSIDERATION FOR ETERNITY

So, what do all these scenarios seem to have in common?

What bottom line do they all seem to share?

.

Just what fatal flaw is there, if any?

.

You see, all these various retirement plans seem to have one common denominator.

.

They all appear to be based on the idea that there is no eternal life.

.

They all are seemingly in denial that there is a Heavenly battle to win, and a Hell to shun.

.

TEMPERANCE

.

Oh no, to work at a job, if it is to meet one’s basic needs is absolutely necessary!

.

Or to take the spouse on a vacation from time to time can be refreshing, if done in moderation.

Or to have a little hobby on the side can be rewarding, as long as it doesn’t become an all-consuming lust.

.

But to immerse oneself in such a leisurely lifestyle, while this world is in the midst of the great heated battle for the souls of all Mankind!?

.

Does that make sense!?

Now of course, the people of the world don’t believe that such a spiritual battle is going on.

And so, why not spend one’s last few years on earth, trying to find and enjoy life’s last pleasures?

That only makes sense for unbelievers!

But such faithless lifestyles have nothing to do with biblical Christianity!

I PRESS TOWARD THE MARK FOR THE PRIZE!

.

On the other hand, the three apostles, Paul, Peter and John, knew the importance and value of eternal life.

.

And none of these three men counted themselves to have “already attained, either were already made perfect”. Philippians 3:12

.

No, each of these men would merely, “press on toward the mark for the prize, of that high (and holy) calling of God, in Christ Jesus”.

.

They knew that they needed a much deeper baptism, and a much greater resurrected lifestyle! (see Philippians 3:7-15)

.

And so, dear Pilgrim, let’s look to such men as these for our examples and role-models. Let’s not look to the people of the world (nor the church) for examples!

.

Let’s continue to fan into flames the gift of grace within us!

.

Let’s keep ascending that upward pathway, walking as strangers and pilgrims away from this selfish world, and onward to the Celestial Courts of the Heavenly City of God!

.

By so-doing, we will enjoy a rich reward throughout the ceaseless ages to come!

1st FACE…THE NIGHT-WATCHMAN

.

“MOON IS CONFOUNDED”… The first face, a man’s face, is easy to see.

.

It is that proverbial ‘Man in the Moon’.

.

Most have seen it.

.

Even as little children. (The other two faces are not so easy to see. But let’s concentrate on the first face.)

.

Notice that the ‘Man in the Moon’ appears as though he is looking down at the Earth.

.

‘Shock and Awe’!

.

That’s the look on his face.

.

Sadness too!

.

You might even see the tears running down his cheeks. (“Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.” Psalm 119:136)

.

The Moon is spoken of as a “faithful witness”.

.

God’s covenanted law is spoken of as a faithful witness as well.

.

Listen to the Psalmist…

…It (God’s covenant with David shall be established for ever as the Moon,

and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.”

Psalm 89:37.

Notice here that God is comparing His Covenant to the Moon as a “faithful witness”.

.

The Moon reflects the light of the Sun, just as Christians should reflect the light of the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus, who should be in their daily lives.

.

And so the Moon fulfills the verse from Psalms which proclaims… “Praise ye him, Sun and Moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.” Psalm 148:3

.

2Ti 3:1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good…

2Ti 3:4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

When Eve, “the mother of all living”, was approached by Lucifer, she decided that she should be like God. (See Genesis 3:20)

.

Yes, Lucifer, the fallen rebel angel, tempted her by saying, “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:5

.

And so, through her one act of selfish defiance against God’s only command, “Thou shalt not eat of it”, mankind was thrust into the grand drama of the ages: a world which became a sort of giant fishbowl, in which the onlooking universe could witness and comprehend the selfish wares and the ways, and the tragic results of living in a selfish world.

.

Yes, it’s hard to deny this world’s evil, which seems so well orchestrated, could just be happenstance! No, it’s difficult to simply look at this tragic world, and disbelieve that unseen spirit-beings do not exist! The evidence to the contrary is just too overwhelming!

.

And so, after mankind’s fall from grace, a new government was born, based on a new concept, “selfishness”, in direct contradiction to the government of unselfish love which Heaven was and is.

.

And so, as a result of mankind’s fall, Lucifer was given the office of being “the god of this world”, his very own kingdom, howbeit a kingdom in which mankind was permitted to live however they wanted to live. (See 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

.

And yet, from the days of ancient Babylon and forward, God made sure that this new antichrist world-order would unfold itself in such a way as to reveal the various aspects of sin. And in doing this, the onlooking universe would finally comprehend the evil character of that ancient rebel, Lucifer, now called Satan and The Devil.

.

And the Book of Revelation encapsulates all this antichrist world-order, by presenting a symbolic beast which is in the image of a great red dragon. The great red dragon, having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns, symbolized Satan (see Revelation 20:2).

.

And the beast likewise had seven heads and ten horns (see Revelation 12:3 & 13:1). In other words, this multifaceted beast was created in the very image and likeness of Satan. And this beast is revealed to be comprised of various kings and kingdoms.

.

And it is the belief of this website, that this antichrist beast represents the kings and kingdoms of this antichrist world: Satan’s antichrist world-system. And the seven heads represent the seven kingdoms and kings which have ruled over this world-system since the long centuries following the great flood of Noah’s day. Beginning with Babylon, then Medo-Persia, then Grecia, then civil Rome, spiritual Rome, and finally Atheism, the 6th head, and apostate Protestantism, the 7th head.

.

Now, all this information can be quite confusing for any newcomer to this website.

.

But for lack of time, let’s simply focus on the last two heads, Atheism and apostate Protestantism, which are the two current heads now ruling over much of the world. As a matter of fact, let’s just focus on the 6th head, “Atheism”. We are currently living in a world in which Atheism is a dominate force over much of the world’s unsaved populace. It is the ideology, or religion, that Mankind, though merely made from dust, is the supreme ruler and overlord of the world. There is no God, but man himself…or herself. Humans are the highest level of existence according to atheism.

.

And of course, looking back at Eve’s desire to be a god (“Ye shall be as gods…” Genesis 3:5), we can see how this desire is right now being manifest amongst those who consider themselves to be the highest order of life…atheists.

.

Like never before, we are witnessing an incredible rise in selfishness and “narcissism” among the general populace. And because the average person can now make their voice to be loudly heard via the Internet, it is nothing short of amazing to behold the level of self-absorbed narcissism currently on display!

.

And let’s not forget that the number “6” is the number mankind, who were created on the 6th day. And so, it only makes sense that this 6th head of the antichrist beast should manifest itself in pride, self-exaltation, and utter self-obsessed narcissism!

.

Just watch and listen to a multitude of deluded beings obsess over themselves in various ways on the social media. Be amazed as they proudly thrust their own self-exalting philosophies and opinions over the Internet!

.

And like a ship lost at sea, without a guide-map nor a compass, they are now beginning, to even deny the most basic and fundamental truths of life, replacing them with nonsensical notions which would have been mocked and derided just a few short years ago! And even the human rulers and thought-leaders promoting atheism, the 6th head of the antichrist beast, are now beginning to demand that the entire world’s populace must bow down and accept, as reality, these obvious lies!

.

Of course, stepping back, we realize this current wave of secular self-exalting madness is being driven by the same “Deceiver-In-Chief”, who caused Eve to desire self-exaltation. The Bible reveals him as, “the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan…the god of this world” system. (Revelation 20:2 & 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

.

Yes, we must remember that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 And as the mass-insanity increases, Satan is even causing unsaved individuals to engage in self-mutilation, thinking that they can change their gender by so-doing! Even parents are forcing their own children to go through these unthinkable “medical” procedures, hoping to receive praise from others. This mass-insanity is all very satanic in origin!

“GOOD NEWS FROM A FAR COUNTRY!”

Proverbs 25:25

Well, the very Good News is, that God has provided a way of escape from all this current pandemic madness! Yes, the door of the Ark of Salvation is still open for any and every man, women, and child who wishes to escape this doomed planet, before the great flood of evil finally destroys the entire planet. And before that door forever closes, God’s people are currently pleading with mankind to come aboard and be saved by the blood of the Lamb who gave Himself to be the all-atoning sacrifice of that Hill called Calvary.

“A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH!”

.

And the Bible promises…“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” Revelation 21:1 

.

Yes, there will soon be a “New Heaven and a New Earth” to replace this present doomed world-system. And it will be a wonderful place, a “Promised Land…a land flowing with milk and honey”, in which we will be forever happy, forever humble, and forever young! (See various verses from Exodus)

Isa 24:10  The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

Throughout history, Bible has remained an unmovable rock in the midst of a fickle and changeable world. Never has God needed to apologize, change His mind, or correct His infallible Word of Truth. Historians have repeatedly had to change their account of history as new discoveries revealed the veracity of the Bible account. No apologies. Just a quiet reversal of their former stance against the Bible’s proven accuracy concerning history.

.

Now, history is just one area in which the Bible has proven itself to be the unapologetic and unmovable Rock.

.

Listen to Scripture…Pro_5:6  Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.” This scripture is speaking of much more than a mere adulterous woman. It is speaking, not only of the world-loving church community, but also of the world itself!

.

Just look at society today! Confusion abounds. No longer anchored to the Bible, society is now drifting away from even the most basic and fundamental truths of life! People have nothing to hold onto, and as a result are being cast away from the very fundamental principles of life. Men claiming to be women. Women claiming to be men. Maybe because our mainstream information organizations are increasingly becoming propaganda arms for our atheistic politicians! Maybe because our schools have likewise become filled with zealots for atheism!

And what about the social media? It too has almost monopolistic control over what people are allowed to hear, or not to hear!

Yes, just like Orwell’s book, every household has a two-way monitoring system in which we increasingly hear mostly what they want us to hear, and also are being spied upon to see what we are thinking and speaking and doing!

Yes, “the god of this world”, Lucifer, now called Satan, has invented the Internet for the very purpose of allowing complete authoritarian control over the masses.

History books are now being written to give an exaggerated version of history, just like Orwell’s book!

The government openly lies, knowing that the media, for the most part will cover for them!

The justice department has greatly been corrupted by socialists who want harsh justice to be applied to those who oppose their authoritarianism!

About the only thing Orwell didn’t get right was in the area of fleshly pleasures. Probably because he was an atheist, he failed to predict the current moral decay in society.
