“The Dumbing Down of Society”

“This is the dream… Thou, O king, art a king of kings:

for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory…
.
Thou art this head of gold.
.
And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee (silver),
.
and another third kingdom of brass…
.
…And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron…
.
…And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes,

part of potters’ clay, and part of iron,
.
the kingdom shall be divided…
.

This above passage from Daniels foretells of the devolution of the nations throughout history, using a giant statue of a proud human as the metaphor.

From the ancient kingdoms symbolized by the head of gold, devolving to an inferior kingdom (of silver), followed by an even more inferior (of brass), and another even more inferior (iron), and finally ending down in his feet and toes of iron and clay, symbolizing a divided world made of the most inferior quality of iron and clay, symbolizing the complete moral decay of mankind!

Have you heard about such neo-pagan celebrations as, “The Burning Man Festival”?
.
For about a week, thousands of young-and-old-alike congregate together in the desert of Nevada to hold a very energetic convocation dedicated to, well, uh, dedicated to reviving paganism (with lots of alcohol, hallucinogenic drugs, and nakedness).

ANARCHY CELEBRATED
.
Oh yes, a microcosmic communal mini-society is constructed out there, governed by supposed anarchy, but made possible by the voluntary self-imposed civilized behavior of the attendees (if they continued longer than a week, their well-behaved and orderly conduct would probably begin to devolve into a total lawless mess!).
.
But on the last day of this great fest, a giant statue of a man is set on fire, symbolizing the pagan human sacrifices once performed by the more primitive cultures of centuries past.

But why should this mock-pagan-celebration have any relevance and significance to our modern-day culture?
.
Well, if you haven’t noticed, it seems as if our present-day society is being “dumbed down” in a number of areas of life.

SATAN’S ORIGINAL PLAN
.
It almost makes us wonder if this phenomenon of devolution was why there were primitive cultures which once roamed the earth. After all, God originally created mankind to be noble and very mentally and morally elevated. And yet, history records that many cultures have been very primitive and warlike.
.
Well, we have to acknowledge that “the god of this world”, Lucifer, now called Satan, is a great deceiver and a master manipulator of mankind. And he is the one who has raised up that entire false science of evolution which is based on the assertion that mankind has been gradually evolving from infinitesimal one-celled things into our current advanced high-tech societies (a pretty ridiculously absurd idea when you think that whole thing through!)
.
And so, as we look at history, we see all those cartoonish pictures of hairy, animal-skin clad cavemen, with hunched-backs, long arms and wooden clubs in which to catch their prey (which such half-man-half-ape remains have never been discovered, except in the self-deceived minds of so-called “scientists”, and imaginative artists).

MANY SPOKES IN THAT WHEEL

So, what happened? If mankind was created by God to be so intelligent, noble, and morally upright, why did some groups or individuals seemingly devolve?
.
Well, just look at this current neo-pagan movement now occurring in our society. And The Burning Man Festival is just one spoke in the giant multi-spoked wheel of this modern-day devolutionary movement.

DUMBING DOWN OF SCHOOLS
.
For example, one major university has just announced that it is eliminating such classes as history, philosophy, and other courses dealing with higher thought, to make room for more career-based courses. Other universities are no longer requiring history majors to take American history classes, if you can believe that!
And there is even now a giant push, by socialists, to actually rewrite history altogether!
.
Still other universities no longer tolerate freedom of speech.
.
Some high-school districts are wanting to eliminate higher math courses, complaining that they create an inequality for those who cannot comprehend such advanced courses!
.
But this is just another spoke in that wheel of devolution.

CRUDE, PAGAN MUSIC AND CHANTS
.
Another element in this paganistic downward spiral is the “music” industry.
.
The great Renaissance (reawakening) movement in centuries-past bringing higher learning and elevated music to society has now been replaced by very crude and repetitious music and warlike chants, featuring lyrics dealing mostly with the baser human functions, body orifices, as well as drug-use and wanton whoredom.

TELEVISION/INTERNET

And just look at television and Internet! The great literary works of yesteryear have greatly been replaced by TV dramas which often capitalize on pride, murder, revenge, lust, greed, hate, and other animal-like behaviors.

And Internet is even worse, pushing the lowest, crudest, lewdest, and vilest and hateful videos, etc., steering young people away from anything elevating and ennobling!

RULE OF LAW DEAD?

And lawmakers, and governments are now beginning to ignore the rule of law, replacing it with mob rule.
.
Even today’s social media has become the breeding ground for angry mobs!

THE NEWS MEDIA

Much, or most of the various news sources today have successfully censored many news stories which do not promote their political cause, while pushing hard on other news which bolsters their atheist/socialist cause.

ROGUE RELIGIONS
.
Rogue religions are moving in and taking over the great societies which once lovingly and enthusiastically embraced the Christian Reformation which promoted higher thought.

Candle-lighting, chants, rituals, etc., have replaced the higher thought necessary for inspired Bible study and communion via the Holy Spirit.
.
And even violent retaliation against rejecters of those false religions has replaced simple faith and belief.

And what about the rapidly declining morality of society?

In just a few decades, society has devolved into the low-level of ancient Sodom & Gomorrah!

SOCIALIZED GOVERNMENT

And what about the increasing dependency on government to supply all our needs?

From a nation built by tough, hard-working pioneers, we’ve devolved into a veritable “Nanny-State”, in which many of us are increasingly helpless and dependent upon government to care for us!

BACK TO THE STONE-AGE?

Well, the list could go on and on. But it seems as if Satan, for his own purposes, is now causing a reversal in mankind’s development leading, us back into the so-called “stone-age”.
.
Oh yes, there are still many highly civilized institutions such as the medical industry.
.
But just look around! More and more we are witnessing a return to face and body piercings with rings, tattoos and other markings. There has now become a perverted obsession with bodily orifices.
.
It’s a sign of the times. A return to pagan behavior.

JUDGMENTS NOW FALLING

God has been patient with the nations which once lovingly embraced the Christian Reformation.
.
But the day has finally come when His patience has ended, and He has now allowed Satan to lay desolate these very Christ-rejecting societies!
.
And so, as we see unsaved people seemingly in charge of tearing down the fabric and foundation of these societies, we must realize that it is not them, but actually it is evil angels working in them and through them to do Satan’s bidding!

“GOOD NEWS FROM A FAR COUNTRY”
Proverbs 25:25

So, what’s the Good News in all this?
Is there any redeemable aspect to all this cultural destruction?

Well, for one thing, this departure from everything heavenly makes the delineation between the world and the Church, God’s faithful remnant, just that much more distinctive and easily discernible!
.
And those who have some love for truth still in them, will stop, look around, and consider just how far mankind has devolved from things good, and wholesome, and upright, and noble. And perhaps they will return to the Lord in hopes of finding deliverance from this increasingly dangerous societal decay.
.
And having that Salvation, they can begin to elevate their thoughts with the higher thought and wisdom to be found only in God’s Word, the Bible!

TODAY’S FEATURED HEAVENLY SIGN

THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION
.
This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).
.
.
It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars. It appears as an outline of a rider. Only the back of his head is detailed. And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed. Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horses mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane). The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey. The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg. All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

Since this constellation has just been revealed, there may be more to this constellation in the coming months. But if you can locate the Goodly Horse in Battle Constellation, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating this Rider Constellation, provided you have excellent star-watching conditions.

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.
