“There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough?”

“All flesh is grass,
and all the goodliness thereof
is as the flower of the field:
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it:

There was a very popular old song composed back in the 1960’s, which still gets a lot of play even today…

“There ain’t mountain high enough
There ain’t no valley low enough
There ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from gettin’ to you babe
…Just call my name, I’ll be there in a hurry
You don’t have to worry!”

This was a very excellent song, as far as the songs of the world.

IMPOSSIBLE DREAMS!

And yet, like so many of the world’s songs, this very popular song made a great big promise!

Yes, many popular songs make great promises, such as…“I’ll love you forever! I’ll never leave you! I’ll always be there for you! I’ll always cherish you!”

Well, those are very nice sounding promises!
.
But are they true and possible promises?

MANY SAD AND EVEN TRAGIC ENDINGS!
.
Well, just looking at the statistics, the divorce rate in this society is extremely high!
.
And that stat doesn’t even take in to account all the unhappy and loveless and even violent marriages that continue on without divorce!
.
Very sad!
.
Makes us want to cry for such sorrowful situations!
.
Yes, there are so very many sad and heartbreaking stories in this sad ol’ world!
.
And finally, even those few relationships that are happy and loving, will all ultimately end with the death of one or both partners. Every last one!
.
Listen…“For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6
.
This above passage presents the stark and bleak truth that death is final, and nothingness is the final ending for all, including their love!

“WITHOUT CHRIST…HAVING NO HOPE”

Yes, there is a mountain far too high!
.
And there is a valley far too low! 
.
And there is a river much too wide to ever cross!
.
Because when death finally comes, it will be forever!
.
No hope! No possibility of ever crossing that mountain, valley and river!

A VERY SAD AND TRAGIC ENDING!
.
Well, the story of the two recording artists who sang that song, “There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough!” has an extremely sad ending.
.
Because, tragically, they both died just a few short years after recording that song. One died of cancer, while the other was murdered by his own father!
.

“HE THAT BELIEVETH IN ME, THOUGH HE WERE DEAD, YET SHALL HE LIVE!”

But perhaps there is a ray of hope in that dark story.

Maybe, just maybe, they both began to trust in Jesus prior to their untimely deaths!

Do you think?
.
Because if they did, then those impossible words will actually become true promises! And the vow they made to each other will not be merely a hollow and empty promise!
.
Yes, those impossible lyrics, “There ain’t no mountain high enough, there ain’t no valley low enough, there ain’t no river wide enough, to keep me from gettin’ to you”, will actually be very possible!
.
Because, if those two singers did indeed begin to trust in the Savior, then they will joyfully rise one day to live forever in a wonderful and joyful place called, The Promised Land.
.
Yes, even though there is a river far too wide for anyone to cross, yet the Savior is very willing to carry us across, if only we will begin to place our life in His hands!

THE FLOWER OF THE FIELD CONSTELLATION
.
This is perhaps one of the most amazing constellations that God has created! It truly looks like a flower, and appears to be blowing in the direction of westward. But as autumn draws near, this constellation appears to bow itself down, just like the flowers of Earth bow down, at the summer’s end.
.
And these are not merely obscure stars! No! These are among the biggest and brightest stars in the night heavens!
.
The Two Turtle-Doves Constellation is also known as Sagittarius .
.
The Flower of the Field is commonly known as Scorpio .
.
But there is another obvious aspect to this constellation group. Notice that the birds are flying in the same direction as the flower is bending; it is as if the east wind is blowing these heavenly messengers…
.
“The wind blows where it desires, and you hear the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:8.

So here is another incredible Bible concept, written in the heavens! And God has spoken of these signs! Listen… “For ever, O LORD, Thy Word is settled in heaven.” Psalm 119:89

WHY IS THIS FLOWER POINTING UPWARD?
.
To the right is a star-chart from Wikipedia. The editor of this site has sketched in the Flower of the Field Constellation on this constellation commonly referred to as the Scorpio Constellation (plus a few other close-by bright stars).
.
Do you see the long blade of grass growing from the base of the Flower of the Field? This grass blade is made of the two highest stars of the Lupus Constellation, and the two lowest stars of the Libra Constellation.
.
As this Wikipedia star-chart shows, the flower appears to be pointing to Arcturus and the Revelation 12 Woman (shown in sketch below). Arcturus represents Jesus, as He leads His sons (and daughters) on a spiritual journey up a heavenward pathway, as is written… “Canst you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons?” Job 38:32.
