There are many naïve churchgoers who mistakenly believe that because they have made a commitment to follow Jesus, and attend to all the daily and weekly Christian duties, that they are indeed, “signed, sealed, and delivered saints”!

THE AGE OF DECEPTION

.

This is perhaps, the greatest deception in this era of the False Prophet.

.

Yes, we are living in the age of great deception.

Satan is no longer coming as the first beast killing-machine of Revelation 13.

.

Oh yes, Satan appears to be coming as a killing-machine and persecutor of those in some nations, as he attempts to wipe out God’s people.

.

But in the western nations which once rejoiced to embrace the Christian Reformation, Satan is now coming as the False Prophet of Revelation 13, the second beast which arose up out of the earth. (Read Revelation, Chapter 13)

A MERE NOMINAL PROFESSION

.

What Satan understands is that merely making a nominal profession of serving Jesus is worthless, unless it is accompanied by a total devotion to Heaven…

.

Listen…“for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.” Ezekiel 33:31

.

Yes, God is not at all impressed by mere words!

And He sees right through our façade of “good works” and “good words”!

.

LIVING IN A CORNUCOPIA WORLD

.

Where many Christians get tripped up is, because we must live and eat and work in this world, that this seemingly gives license to pursue this cornucopian world with great gusto.

.

And because everyone else all around us appears to be enthusiastically pursuing the things of this world, this wrong example becomes a snare to the soul for those who are attempting to walk that upward pathway…

.

SETTING A WRONG EXAMPLE

.

Listen…“Therefore the law is slacked,

and judgment doth never go forth:

for the wicked doth compass about the righteous;

therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.”

Habakkuk 1:4.

Yes, Satan has surrounded God’s people by those whose ungodly ways have confused and corrupted the Christian community.

.

This is the great warning of Habakkuk, the Prophet.

WE CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS!

.

Our signature Bible passage for today reveals that we cannot serve two masters.

.

We must choose which master we are going to serve.

.

And merely going to church, taking communion, paying tithes, and serving on a committee or two, is not sufficient.

.

No, we must renounce one world or the other!

.

.

.

.

.

THIS WORLD: AN ENDLESS CAROUSEL RIDE!

.

Listen to James as he makes this stark accusation against professing Christians…

“Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth,

and been wanton;

ye have nourished your hearts,

as in a day of slaughter.”

James 5:5

.

Yes, like never before, we are living in the day of slaughter!

Even now, the earth is groaning and travailing under the judgments of God!

Senseless acts of greed and violence are being committed in every direction!

.

And God is trying to get our attention concerning all these inequities!

.

He is trying to get us to climb off of our never-ending merry-go-round-ride through this hedonistic and Mammon-loving society!

So, let’s begin to engage in this wonderful commission that God has given us in these last moments of time!

Let’s begin that joyful life of repentance and returning to the simple life of Jesus, our greatest of all role-models!

LOCATING THIS CONSTELLATION GROUP…

.

.

Look eastward in the early summer through fall. Find the Cassiopeia Constellation.

Cassiopeia is the Mount of Blessing.

In the sketch, it is the farthest mountain to the left.

In the sky, it is the northern-most of these three mountains when facing eastward. 

.

.

They appear in mid-summer in the eastern skies in pre-dawn hours.

These are made of Cassiopeia (mount on left), and various stars from the Andromeda Constellation (valley) Pegasus (Mount of Cursing (middle mount) & Destroying Mount (right)), and Pisces (Broad Way to Hell).

The galaxy which appears to be climbing the Mountain of Blessing is the Andromeda Galaxy.

Actually, these Valley of Decision Constellations appear in early summer in the pre-dawn hours.
