Cease Ye From Man!

Part 9:
“Time To Be Hidden”

“When righteous men do rejoice,
there is great glory:
but when the wicked rise,
a man is hidden.”
Proverbs 28:12

Just yesterday, a churchgoer made the following comment: “You need to be 
coming back to church each week!
.
“Because you know”, he continued, “for all eternity, God’s people will be meeting together and loving each other.
.
“You might as well get started right now”, he concluded.
.
Now this seemed to be a powerful argument!
.
After all, it’s true that we are to have love, one-for-another.
.

“REPROVE NOT A SCORNER, LEST HE HATE THEE”
Proverbs 9:8
.
However, the churchgoer was making a judgment: a judgment in his mind, that he believes all those who have made an exodus out of the churches are merely doing so, for “lack of love!”
.
But this sincere churchgoer was not considering, nor even knowledgeable of all the passages which are calling God’s people to come out of Babylon, the harlot churches.
.
Well, there was no point trying to make sense with that churchgoing person: many churchgoers simply do not want to hear that message concerning this end-time exodus out of spiritual Babylon!

COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM?
Revelation 18:4
.
But there are many Christians who are truly confused as to just what 
God expects out of His people.
.
Should we be fellowshipping with church people? Should we attend religious meetings.
.
And are we being too reclusive and even unfriendly by separating ourselves from the church community?
.

AS WE SEE “WHAT” DAY APPROACHING?
.
Well, it is true that God’s people should be filled with love for their fellow humans, especially those who profess to love Christ!
.
And our love should even extend to the secular, unbelieving world.
.
And yes, Hebrews 10:25 counsels us that, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
.
But notice here that it says we should be exhorting one-another, “and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
.
And so, the question needs to be asked, “As we see WHAT day approaching!?”
.

“FLEE OUT OF THE MIDST OF BABYLON!”
Jeremiah 51:6
.
Yes, the question must be asked, “As we see WHAT day approaching!?”
.
Well, the Bible says in Matthew 24:15, 16…“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:”
.
This above passage warns of a day in which God’s people are to flee to the mountains from Judaea. Oh yes, this passage is written in veiled, allegorical language. But we must understand that the Bible is a spiritual Book (see 2nd Corinthians 2:13, 14).
.
And so, such allegories as Matthew 24:15, 16 should be no problem to discern spiritually.

“HID IN THE DAY OF THE LORD’S ANGER”
Zephaniah 2:3
.
But even if we didn’t have Matthew 24:15, 16 to rely upon, we have other passages which basically say the same thing…“Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:20, 21
.
This above passage warns us to hide ourselves till the Lord’s indignation and His punishment of the world is passed over!

“THE ROCK OF MY REFUGE”
Psalm 94:22
.
But there are other similar passages such as this passage from Isaiah 2:20-22…
“In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold,
which they made each one for himself to worship,
to the moles and to the bats;
To go into the clefts of the ragged rocks,
for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty,
when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils:
for wherein is he to be accounted of?”
.
This passage specifically speaks of the Day of the Lord, when God’s people are counseled to flee.
.
And this passage concludes by saying…“Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?”
.

NO SHORTAGE OF VERSES
.
Well, the point is, there is no shortage of Bible passages which speak of the day of the Lord as a time to flee; a time to be hidden; a time to, “cease ye from Man”!
.
Listen to this next passage…
“And the LORD answered me, and said,
Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,
that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time,
but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:
though it tarry, wait for it;
because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:2, 3
.
Here is a very striking prophecy regarding this very time in history when God’s people are commanded to flee from the overwhelming influence of unbelievers who are surrounding God’s people, both in the world, and in the apostate churches.

“NOT…GREATER THAN JOHN THE BAPTIST”
Matthew 11:11
.
Now just because we are counseled to, “flee”, and to, “cease ye from man”, does this mean that we don’t have love for our fellow man? Absolutely not!
.
After all, John the Baptist lived in the wilderness. And yet, did separating himself from humanity show that John didn’t have love for the human race?
.
Oh yes, it’s true John had a godly hatred for sinners (see Psalm 5:4, 5).
.
But John also had the highest love for Mankind: their soul’s Salvation! (see John 3:16)
.

“A TIME OF TROUBLE, SUCH AS NEVER WAS!”
Daniel 12:1
.
And so, this present judgment hour is a special time of trouble (Daniel 12:1-3).
.
Oh yes, God’s judgments will be soon poured out upon them. And we certainly don’t want to be partaking of her sins.
.
And maybe we don’t yet fully understand all the reasons why God is amplifying His current-day directive about separation from the apostate churches.
.
But, no doubt, it won’t be long until we do understand all God’s reasons why we must flee!
.
And yet we are not to wait till every last question is answered, but simply obey by faith His command to flee!
.

“I WILL KEEP MY MOUTH WITH A BRIDLE”
Psalm 39:1-3
.
And so, it would have been nice to try to explain all these things to that churchgoer yesterday, who was making a judgment upon the hearts of those who are now making an end-time exodus from the churches and denominations.

“HAVING ITCHING EARS!”
.
But even if time would have permitted such a thorough explanation, the fact is, there are many who adamantly refuse to understand this message.
.
They simply love going to church each week. And because they are usually very outgoing and friendly, they love all the social aspects connected with church-going, with its many social events and parties.
.
Oh no, they don’t necessarily love to talk about salvational issues.
.
No, but rather, after church, they mostly talk about their job, their cars, their home, their favorite team, their up-coming vacations, their kids, their hobbies, etc…. Jesus is not their “first love”. Revelation 2:4
.
In other words, for them, church is mostly a weekly fraternal/social get-together, covered with a thin veneer of religiosity.

“THEY BLESS WITH THEIR MOUTH…”
Psalm 62:4
.
And let’s be honest! Being socially-minded is not necessarily a Christian virtue.
.
No, even many atheists are very friendly and socially-minded!
.
Listen…“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15
.
We must be wise as serpents in this current socialistic culture! And as this verse warns, the Church is filled with many deceivers who have, “a form of godliness”.
.
There are many outwardly friendly and sociable parishioners in today’s churches!
.

“THEY HEAR THY WORDS, BUT…NOT DO THEM!”
(read Ezekiel 33:31, 32)
.
And oh yes, they do enjoy Bible studies.
.
But as Paul describes in 2nd Timothy 3:7, they are, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
.
They keep studying their Bibles, but for lack of the Holy Spirit, there is no true Christian growth. And there can’t be, because their hearts are divided. And a divided heart cannot receive any spiritual thing from the Lord! (see James 1:7, 8)
.
And so, because of their love of this world, most parishioners have never experienced true conversion!

“WHOSOEVER…FORSAKES NOT ALL…CANNOT BY MY DISCIPLE”
Luke 14:33
.
True discipleship requires a complete forsaking of all (see Luke 5:11 & Luke 14:33).
.
And worldly-minded Christians love this present world far too much to ever, “forsake all”, so that they might follow Jesus as one of His disciples!
.

“HIS…BREAD…WATERS SHALL BE ASSURED”
.
And so, O Stranger & Pilgrim, here is just one more reason to join this end-time exodus out of spiritual Babylon, just prior to our Lord’s Return.

And those who do flee to the spiritual mountains of God will find abundant living waters up there! (see Isaiah 30:25).

THE MILKY WAY RUNS THROUGH

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.
.
WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE
.
So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ. But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence.
