Come Out of Her, My People!

.

Part 44:

“This World: Love It Or Leave It!”

“Love not the world,

neither the things that are in the world.

If any man love the world,

the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

and the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

is not of the Father,

but is of the world.

And the world passeth away,

and the lust thereof:

but he that doeth the will of God

abideth for ever”

1st John 2:15-17

.

During the anti-war movement of the 60’s and 70’s, a certain saying became popular…“America: Love It, Or Leave It!”

.

This appeared on bumper stickers, being a backlash against those who publicly burned the nation’s flag in protest against the unpopular war being fought at that time.

.

Yes, many patriotic Americans were incensed to witness the flag they so dearly loved, being callously desecrated!

.

“LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!”

.

Now in these last moments of time, God is calling His faithful people to “Come out of her, My people, lest ye partake of her sins and receive of her plagues!” Revelation 18:4.

.

Perhaps you could say this verse in a similar manner, “This World: Love It Or Leave It!”

.

Well, however you wish to say it, this is a call to Christians to come out of the worldly-minded churches, which have merged with the world, and flee to the spiritual Mount Zion in which God has provided abundant heavenly bread and waters of grace!

TAKING BABYLON OUT OF THE CHRISTIAN

.

But while God is wanting His people to make this end-time exodus out of the fallen churches, there must also be a coming out of the worldliness which has corrupted our hearts and minds.

.

Perhaps you might say, “Before you can take the Christian out of Babylon, you must first take Babylon out of the Christian!”

.

LITERALLY COMING OUT OF HER: A GOOD START!

.

Of course, by physically vacating the Babylonish, worldly-minded churches, the Christian is making a big statement in the sight of the world and Heaven too!

.

But unless that Christian fully removes Babylon out of his or her heart, then eventually that Christian will relent, and return back from where he or she came!

.

And back in the world, they will become a bitter foe against those who truly come out of Babylon, both in body and in mind!

.

UNDERSTANDING THE BOUNDARY LINES

.

So maybe there should be an examination of what we need to purify our hearts from, so that we might realize just where the actual boundary lines are between Heaven and this Babylonish world.

.

First, let it be said that this world, to a great degree is the product of the mind of Lucifer, now holding the office of “Satan”, “The Dragon”, and “The Devil”.

.

**And he is also called, “the god of this world”, in 2nd Corinthians 4:4.**

.

Thus, this present world-system is merely the outward reflection of Lucifer’s inward, selfish heart.

.

This world-system is conformed into Satan’s image!

.

Even nature itself reflects the death and destruction which eventually destroys every living thing.

.

ENGRAVING GOD’S WORD UPON THE TABLES OF THE HEART

.

And so, the Christian must continually strive to allow God to fully engrave this truth deep into his or her heart and mind!

.

**In other words, we must have this principle (that this world is merely a reflection of Lucifer’s selfish heart), before our eyes as we go through our each and every day!**

.

A GRAND MAKE-OVER!

.

Now of course, in these last days, Satan is busily giving this world a complete make-over, creating the illusion that this world is filled with many seemingly harmless even good things: shopping malls, clubs, theme parks, vacation resorts, restaurants, pleasure vehicles, self-aggrandizing careers, television, Internet, radio, magazines and books, high-tech devices, sports, hobbies, games, amusements, music, quasi-Christian holidays, and a host of similar inventions.

So just how are we supposed to come out of Babylon, and still function in this world?

IN THE WORLD, BUT NOT OF IT

.

Yes, just how are we supposed to come out of Babylon, and still perform our daily duties?

.

After all, there may be a few somewhat faithful ministries remaining on radio or Internet!

.

And many Christian men have wives who want to go out to a restaurant or shopping mall, or a vacation resort.

.

And many children want to go to an amusement park or play some game or attend a school.

.

USING BUT NOT ABUSING

.

Of course, there is not one hard-and-fast rule concerning what we need to separate from and what we need to continue to use.

.

But there is one principle which Paul lays out, found in 1st Corinthians 7:29, 31…“But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none…And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.”

.

Paul is not saying here that we should ignore our wives.

.

No, but we need to ever keep in the forefront of our minds that we are to be “hastening unto the Day of the Lord!” 2nd Peter 3:12

.

“CHRIST IN YOU: THE HOPE OF GLORY!”

Colossians 1:27

.

And another extremely important principle to ever keep before us, is that the Bible tells us…“But we have the mind of Christ.” 1st Corinthians 2:16

.

Yes, if a man, woman, or child truly has been given the mind of Christ, then he or she has the responsibility to diligently guard and protect that great Gift!

.

And there should be a daily, nay, an HOURLY, nay, even a MOMENT-BY-MOMENT effort to cling to that heavenly Gift!

.

And such a watchfulness as this can only be given as a gift by the indwelling Holy Spirit!

.

And the more that we prayerfully/carefully study and contemplate God’s Word, the more that our minds might become a proper environment for Christ to live and thrive within us!

“TO GIVE YOU AN EXPECTED END!”

Jeremiah 29:11

.

Now, there is a blessed end to all our long strivings!

.

We will one day be able to say along with Paul, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

.

Here is the true goal of each and every true Christian: to fully die-to-self, so that Christ can live out His holy life through us!

.

And whether we go into a restaurant, or on a vacation, or wherever, our heart will be in heavenly places together with Christ, even though no one else is aware, as we look at the world, through the loving and empathetic eyes of Jesus!

So the Summer Constellations are a picture of the more pleasant aspects of the Gospel. And just as summer-time is the more pleasant season for much of the world, so too, the discipleship portion of the Gospel is the more pleasant aspect of the Christian life; Bible-study, fellowship, sitting at Jesus feet and learning of His ways. Spreading the Gospel. Most of us would like this to be the total sum and entirety of our Christian life. But just listen…

***“Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.” Jeremiah* *30:7.***

But as this verse points out, there is another side to Christianity: Christian warfare. And this Woman of Revelation 12 will also be present in the Winter Constellations. But by then, she will be ready to do what she must, during the winter battle scene: FLEE!

.

So let’s take a look at the Winter Constellation Group…The warfare we must fight. The good fight as God calls it. It is also the race we must run. The sin we must flee from. And these sterner aspects of the Gospel are what the Winter Constellations are all about.
