In the last installment (click here) of this series on the priesthood of the home, it was emphasized just how important is God’s commandment for the father to take up the priestly mantle in his home.

Yes, the Old Testament sanctuary service was a glorious picture of God’s family, with the priest being the spiritual overseer of that heavenly family.

FATHER’S MANLY DUTY : PRIEST OF THE HOME!

And today, in New Testament times, the father of every home has been given this very same manly commission: to be the priest of the home!

.

And it was discussed just how important is this high and holy calling of spiritual leadership which God has devolved upon the father of the home!

SATAN’S GIANT TSUNAMI!

.

Especially in this age in which the entire world appears to be, “going to Hell in a hand-basket” (as the popular phrase goes), there is no more important duty than to raise the children with a Christian foundation.

.

After all, the Enemy of Souls is now spewing out his flood of evil, sweeping over the various societies like a giant tsunami! And children must have a solid Christian foundation to be their strong bulwark against the coming flood of evil (which waters of evil are now already rising)!

.

There is no time to be wasting on vain amusements by the father. This is no hour to become so absorbed in ambitious careers, to the neglect of our family’s spiritual needs.

EVERY SOUL TO BE TRIED BY FIRE

.

Yes, the Day of the Lord is for everyone! And as this passage continues…“Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the Day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.” 1st Corinthians 3:32

.

Here we see that every man’s work will be made manifest. And it is sheer nonsense to imagine that God’s people are somehow going to escape that fiery trial just before us!

FATHERS, TAKE UP YOUR PRIESTLY MANTLE!

.

And so, today’s devotional is an exhortation (encouragement) for every father to begin to take up his priestly mantle, and gather his wife and children around him, even if it’s only in his moment-by-moment long-distance prayer-life!

MOTHERS ALSO A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD!

.

And those mothers whose husband is not available, for one reason or another, can by all means take up her priestly mantle on behalf of her family, as she offers up unceasing prayers and tears to God.

After all, we all have been chosen to be a royal priesthood, both man, woman, and even children!

THE STORM IS ABOUT TO RAGE!

.

Yes, the approaching storm is already beginning to flash its lightning and resound its crackling and echoing thunder!

.

The winds of false doctrines and out-and-out lies are beginning to blow with hurricane force from the “four winds”! (See Revelation 7:1)

.

So let each and every one of us “come boldly unto the throne of grace” on behalf of our loved ones in this fearful hour of our tremendous needs! (Hebrews 4:16)

THE HOLY AND MOST HOLY PLACE

.

.

“And thou shalt put the Mercy Seat upon the Ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.” Exodus 26:34

.

The Tabernacle in the wilderness was a picture of God. Just listen to Revelation… “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Revelation 21:22.

.

So, instead of dwelling upon all the fine points of the earthly tabernacle, let it suffice to be said, this earthly tabernacle is merely a metaphor of God Himself. And the Most Holy Place is the heart of that temple, and upon the Ark, represents God’s throne, as is written…

.

“And David arose…to bring up from thence, the ark of God…the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims.” 2nd Samuel 6:2.

.

So, if, as it states here, that God dwells “between the cherubims”, then this is speaking of the Mercy Seat over the Ark. But even though it speaks thus, we need to keep in mind that the temple itself, represents God Himself, as is written… “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Revelation 21:22.

ARK SEEN IN HEAVEN 

.

.

“And the temple of God was opened in Heaven, and there was seen in His temple the Ark of His Testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.”  Revelation 11:19

.

The above verse from Revelation, speaks of God’s Temple in Heaven being opened. But this great constellation, the  Sagittarius Constellation  is actually the constellation of the Ark of the Covenant. So these two events go hand in hand simultaneously. The Ark Constellation, as sketched into this Wikipedia star-chart, is a representation of the heavenly Ark, as God begins to open up the spiritual concepts of that true Ark to our minds.
