Flee To The Mountain!

“Pillar of Salt Churches”

**In the Daily Devotional, “Am I A Pillar of Salt?” (click here to read), it was stated that many churchgoers have become like a pillar of salt, spiritually speaking.**

For the most part, those who are still in the churches, have refused, to a great extent, to “flee from the wrath to come”. Matthew 3:7 & Luke 3:7

.

A WORLD OF SELFISH PURSUITS

.

The fact is, far too many of us professors of Christ are still immersed in the ungodly influences and pollutions of the world…

…television, secular radio and secular Internet…

…clubs, organizations, sports, hobbies…

…time-consuming newspapers & magazines…

…movies, ambitious careers…

…and many other similar pursuits, all to the poverty of the soul!

.

Most of us are all nestled down in our comfortable place, and still living for the world to a great extent.

.

DEALING WITH FAMILY

.

Now obviously, it is difficult to totally avoid every worldly pleasure, especially for those who have family obligations.

.

And a certain amount of the more innocent pleasures and pursuits are possibly necessary for the unsaved family members.

And much patience and prayer for great wisdom is required in such cases.

.

But there must be a constant and on-going repentance in the life of every Believer, knowing that Satan is going to try to pull us fully back into the world.

.

SOLIDIFIED CHURCHES

.

But today’s devotional is more concerned with church organizations.

.

In other words, the churches no longer strive to…

“all come…unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”

Ephesians 4:13. (Condensed)

FRATERNAL/SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS

.

To a great degree, the church-world is content to be a collection of individual social/fraternal organizations with certain degree of religiosity.

.

Oh yes, the more benign and non-threatening verses of the Bible are being preached each week.

**But either by word and/or by example, the leaders of the church are maintaining a quasi-Christian environment, not wanting to lose the more world-loving parishioners.**

.

And the problem with this is, such a low-grade of piety influences both the young and old parishioners who might otherwise seek to “walk even as He (Christ) walked”. 1st John 2:6

.

CHURCH-WIDE APOSTASY FORETOLD

.

The Apostle, Paul, warned that this day would come…

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;

but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,

having itching ears…”

2nd Timothy 4:3, 4 (Condensed)

.

Yes, this above verse is speaking of today’s church-world which has become like a pillar of salt and cannot flee to the Mountain (which symbolizes the fulness of Christ).

.

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul…”

Jeremiah 51:6

.

Now the Good News in this very sad report is, that God only wanted us to continue in these organizations, fellowshipping until the day in which we were commanded to flee!

.

Listen to the Prophet, Habakkuk…

“And the LORD answered me, and said,

Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,

that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come,

it will not tarry.”

Habakkuk 2:2, 3

.

Yes, the world has surrounded God’s people to the point that “wrong judgment proceeds” from the various church organizations and radio stations, as it says in Habakkuk 1:4

.

And when the vision begins to speak, then it is time for God’s true worshipers to, “RUN!”, as Habakkuk warns. (read such articles as the little series, “Habakkuk says ‘Run!‘”)

“escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!”

Genesis 19:17

.

**It is now time for God’s true worshipers to vacate these pillar-of-salt organizations.**

.

But God has provided heavenly bread and spiritual waters of grace, “upon every high mountain and every high hill in the day when the towers fall” Isaiah 30:25

.

Yes, there is an abundant supply of heavenly bread and copious draughts of spiritual waters of grace upon those spiritual mountains in this day when the towers (churches) are fallen!

TWO TURTLE-DOVES CONSTELLATION

LOCATING THIS CONSTELLATION

This constellation appears in early spring in the south.

It moves from east to west during the night and slowly moves to the western horizon by fall.

It is commonly known as Sagittarius. (The three stars at the top of the 2nd Turtle-dove are not shown in some Sagittarius Star-charts, but are in others.)

GOD’S LAST CALL

So these Two Turtle-Doves are a sign of witnessing to a lost and dying world.

And it may just be that these Two Turtle-Doves are a sign of God’s last message to the world!

Yes, the Bible says…

“And there shall be signs

in the sun,

and in the moon,

and in the stars;

and upon the earth distress of nations,

with perplexity;

the sea and the waves roaring;

Men’s hearts failing them for fear,

and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:

for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming

in a cloud with power and great glory.”

Luke 21:25-27.

And so, if these signs are a fulfillment of Luke’s prophecy, then these Two Turtle-Doves are a symbol of God’s last message of mercy to this world!
