Yes, from the first time Luther discovered that Latin Bible chained to a monastery wall, Luther used every little bit of free time, to read God’s Word!

He even regretted the time spent eating his necessary food, because it prevented him from eating that heavenly bread, God’s infallible Manna, The Bible!

HAROLD CAMPING: A LOVER OF GOD’S WORD!

Well, Luther wasn’t the only one who loved God’s Word to that degree!

.

Yes, in the past decades, God raised up another servant who loved the Bible every bit as much as Luther!

.

Fast-forward a few hundred years, to Alameda California, and to one slender man named Harold Camping!

.

Yes, Harold Camping, founder and CEO of Family Radio, spent 5 or 6 hours daily studying God’s Word. On his daily call-in talk show (scroll to page-bottom to hear), Camping often mentioned that he tried to study the Bible as if he were cramming for a final exam in college! Comparing scripture with scripture, and “spiritual things with spiritual”, Camping worked tirelessly each day, attempting to fit this incredible God-given “jig-saw puzzle” together, known as “the Bible”.

MUCH “HIDDEN MANNA!”

Yes, the Bible is a type of jig-saw puzzle in which God has veiled many deep truths within the various stories and parables found throughout its pages!

Because the Bible says…“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Proverbs 25:2

.

Here is one of the foundational principles which God lays down, as to how the Bible must be studied. Oh yes, there are many truths laying on the surface. But many other truths have been concealed by God, and must be searched out, as digging for hidden treasure!

And both Luther and Camping were given the grace to do just that!

These two dedicated servants worked tirelessly to seek for and search out the very truths which the apostate theologians have so greatly obfuscated over the past decades and centuries.

And in a very confused church-world, God raised up these two men to lead God’s people out of the dense fog of confusion which lay heavily upon Christendom, back then, and even today still!

WHAT THIS PAGE IS ABOUT…

This page is concerned with the Glorious Crown (a.k.a. Corona Borealis Constellation), as is written… “And there appeared a great wonder (sign) in heaven; a woman…and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.” Revelation 12:1.

This rather dim constellation follows behind that bright and beautiful star, Arcturus , as Arcturus leads a heavenly ambassage through the heavens each night in summer. 

.

many crowns happen to be studded with precious jewels. Well this heavenly crown is no exception! And though these “jewels” are stars, they represent the precious jewels spoken of throughout Scripture, when speaking about God’s people.

.

But this constellation is not nearly as high-profile as, say, the 7 Stars Constellation (a.k.a., The Big Dipper).  It is relatively dim, compared to those two bright constellations.

LOCATING THIS CROWN…

.

This constellation begins to appear in late December (just before dawn), but is best seen, mid-sky when this group of constellations can be seen when facing west. In March-April, very late in the pre-dawn hours, this Summer Constellation group begins to be seen when facing west, and continues to be seen in the west until fall.

.

The Crown follows almost directly behind that great star, Arcturus, as you can see in the sketch.

.

Repeat: it is somewhat easier to study the 12 stars of this constellation when it is in western half of night-sky (when you have to see it as you face westward). So when these Summer Constellations are in the western half of the sky, simply follow the handle of the Big Dipper till you locate Arcturus. Then the Crown is following Arcturus. You will only see the wreath-like 7 stars plus 1 star (in middle) until you get away from all city lights. Then you can make out the other 5 stars, which makes it appear like a full crown.

COMBINATION OF BOTH CORONA BOREALIS & BOOTES

This constellation is a combination of both Corona Borealis plus several stars from the Bootes Constellation.

The stars, Alkalyroos-Bootis and the Delta-Bootis Star are both combined with the other stars from the Corona Borealis community, to make this 12-star (plus 13th star in middle).

While in the Eastern Hemisphere, there has been a great ongoing persecution of Christians, nevertheless, in the western societies, Christians have enjoyed a rather persecution-free lifestyle.

Oh yes, there are times when we are called derogatory names, or even barred from certain freedoms.

But by-and-large, Christians have enjoyed a rather trouble-free lifestyle for several centuries: great economic prosperity, freedom to speak openly of our faith, and a rather peaceful existence which was not afforded to the persecuted Christian community in the past darker centuries.

But it looks like this present-day affluence is not going to continue for much longer.

From time to time, the Book of Revelation mentions stars. But when we get to Revelation Chapter 12, it speaks of two “great signs in heaven”. First, it speaks of the sign in heaven of a woman with child. The The Dragon of Revelation Constellation’s mouth isThe Hyades Cluster, and the tip of his tail is Pleiades, and his Wave of Water is primarily the  Auriga constellation. QUESTION: So just what comparison can be made between Harold Camping and John Wycliffe?

.

ANSWER: Both these two theologians were raised up to counter the wrong and even heretical church-doctrines which prevailed in their respective lifetimes.

“THEY WHICH LEAD THEE CAUSE THEE TO ERR”

That’s right, like Wycliffe, Harold Camping came along at a time when the so-called, “orthodoxy” in the church-world were steeped in false teachings and hard-hearted refusal to question their own dogma.

. 

And one of the most important contributions which Camping made was to establish proper Bible hermeneutics (methods of Bible interpretation) and expose those errors being made in main-stream Christianity.

“SOLA SCRIPTURA”

And like Wycliffe, Camping did not rely on other theologians, but simply compared scripture with scripture, weighing and balancing verses and passages together in order to arrive at truth the way God intended.

.

This was very important since theologians have been guilty of taking verses and passages out of context, instead of carefully and prayerfully comparing any and every relevant Bible text together.

.

Of course, this kind of high-quality Bible study demands a great deal of time and effort. It would be much easier just to read one-another’s theological books to arrive at some supposed doctrinal understanding.

.

But for the most part, Harold refused such shoddy and unreliable methods, and instead spent an average of about 5 or 6 hours per day, merely comparing scripture with scripture, and spiritual things with spiritual, to arrive at Bible truth!

.

HAROLD CAMPING BIBLE STUDIES

.

One aspect which makes Camping’s audio Bible programs superior to other radio teachers is the manner in which he highlighted each Bible reference. Unlike many teachers, Camping usually made an effort to emphasize each verse given, repeating the chapter and verse, and allowing the listener time to look each verse up for themselves.

.

But most other teachers do not do so well in this regard, but rather make their emphasis, instead, upon their own interpretation, and not giving listeners time to look up each given verse for their own selves.

.

The bottom line is, Camping was more interested in making the Bible the focal-point of his ministry rather than his own interpretations. Thus, Camping’s presentations allow listeners the time to cement those verses into their hearts, more than most other teachers normally do!

.

BAD HERMENEUTICS

We are living in a day when theologians reject the idea that the Bible has much “hidden manna”: truths veiled within true historical accounts, such as the many Old Testament stories.

And to facilitate such flat and uninspired interpretations, modern-day theologians have invented a totally non-biblical hermeneutic which forbids any spiritualizing of the Bible unless context demands an allegorical understanding.

.

But the Bible encourages spiritualizing, as long as it is properly accomplished.

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration into another area of concern.

.

Let’s review the key Bible passage… “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10, 11

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:

.

1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”

.

2. “And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And so, the Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.

.

Thus there was an open-mindedness which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to search the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!

HAROLD CAMPING: ‘ELLEN WHITE A FALSE PROPHET’

.

So just how can it be that Harold Camping did not believe that Ellen White was a true Christian, but instead referred to her as “a false prophet”?

.

After all, are not both of these two vital messages which White and Camping each proclaimed, prophesied of in Revelation 14?

.

Well, Harold Camping’s two main objections to Ellen White was:

1 – that she believed in the literal observance of the 7th Day Sabbath,

2 – and secondly, that God no longer sends direct messages through prophets, but communicates through the Bible only.

CAMPING A LIFELONG ADVOCATE FOR SUNDAY OBSERVANCE

Yes, since early childhood, Harold Camping personally observed the Sunday Sabbath, and publicly encouraged its observance throughout his 50-year radio ministry.

2nd Thessalonians 2:9

But Harold Camping also strongly believed that God is no longer giving direct revelations nor speaking directly to people, especially considering how many church-attendees now claim to be receiving direct revelations from God.

.

Yes, the number of those who are supposedly receiving visions, voices, dreams, tongues, etc., is now at almost pandemic levels today!

.

And all this causes a great amount of confusion in the church-world, to say the least, especially considering the unbiblical and often even outrageous behavior of many who supposedly receive these signs and wonders!

NOT SO MUCH BACK IN THE 1800’S

.

But one explanation for why God so miraculously communicated with Ellen White might very well be, that back in her day, there were virtually no signs or wonders occurring.

.

Oh yes, there were a handful back in the 1800’s, who claimed to have received signs and wonders.

.

But today, you can go into most any church, and before long meet persons who claim that God is miraculously working, via voices, visions, dreams, tongues, healings and other signs and wonders.

.

It’s as common as grass, today!

MUCH LESS CONFUSION BACK THEN

.

No, this great phenomenon of “signs and wonders” was not happening back in Ellen White’s day, except in rare instances. 

.

And so, while Mrs. White’s ministry was not smothered beneath mountains of other reported signs and wonders, this is no longer the case. Rather, it now appears as if the entire Christian community today is literally teeming with this phenomenon! Almost every church-member claims to have received some sign and wonder, it would seem!

.

Listen to 1st Corinthians 14:27, 31, 33… “If any man speak in an [unknown] tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret…For ye may all prophesy one by one…For God is not the author of confusion…”

.

Here is a general principle laid down, that God wants no part of those churches in which parishioners are all speaking in tongues at the same time, but rather, “one by one…For God is not the author of confusion…”

TODAY’S CHURCH-WORLD: A BABYLON OF CONFUSION

Now, just what does all this have to do with Ellen White?

.

Well, if Ellen White’s ministry had occurred in today’s Christian world, her messages would no doubt be confused by all the other millions of instances of voices, visions, tongues, dreams, etc., also currently taking place in churches around the world.

.

Nevertheless, while Harold Camping’s teachings against the countless revelations now occurring is a valid message and warning for today, it is very possible for God to have made an exception with Ellen White back in the day when virtually nobody was involved with signs and wonders. 

.

That is one important reason why Ellen White’s ministry had such a great impact back then. Today, her ministry would most likely not even “raise an eyebrow”, being swept away by this current tsunami of “signs and wonders” within the church-world!

MARTIN LUTHER: BOOK OF JAMES, ‘A PERFECT STRAW-GOSPEL’?

.

But even though Harold Camping’s negative views about Ellen White are somewhat troubling, this is not the only instance of such a disagreement. For example, it is commonly reported that the great theologian and church reformer, Martin Luther, had actually considered the New Testament Book of James to be, “made of straw”. He just didn’t see that Book as being the inspired Word of God!

Now obviously, nobody fully understands everything in Scripture: not Martin Luther, nor Harold Camping, nor Ellen White, nor any of the rest of us!

And so, while Harold Camping was disputably one of the world’s greatest theologians, he constantly made the disclaimer, “Don’t trust in me! I too have feet of clay! Trust only in God’s infallible Word, the Bible!”

“THE LORD ALONE SHALL BE EXALTED IN THAT DAY”

Isaiah 2:11

.

Now, of course, the Lord has not left us in confusion concerning the disagreement between these first two messages from Revelation, Chapter 14.

.

Yes, these cloudy issues and seeming contradictions are right now being rectified via the third message of Revelation, Chapter 14.

.

And Camping’s hardline stance against E.G. White can be reconciled in the following way…

.

After all, God is not desiring for any human to be exalted and deified as some sort of infallible authority. And let’s be ever aware that, it’s human nature to do just that! Therefore, God allowed the messengers of these three Revelation 14 messages to all have “feet of clay” in one way or another.

.

And in that way, God’s people will not begin to trust in human instrumentalities, but instead, we must trust solely and entirely in God’s wonderful and infallible Word, the Bible!

.

STUDY, BEREAN, STUDY!

Now, one thing has to be remembered.

.

The proper way to test the authenticity of Ellen White’s Message and Harold Camping’s message is to study each message separately, that the truth-seeking Berean might prove to his or her own self, the veracity of each message. And this website is confident that any and every true worshiper of God will become satisfied that these two messengers were faithful servants of Christ.

.

This same method of testing applies to the message of the 3rd angel. Spend copious amounts of time studying this message on its own merits, apart from the other two messages.

.

“Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good!”

THE 3RD ANGEL’S MESSAGE

.

Now in the last several devotionals, the prophecies of the three angels of Revelation 14 have been touched upon. And the last several devotionals concerned the 1st and 2nd angels’ messages given by Ellen White and Harold Camping, in that order.

.

But even as the 2nd angel’s message was being given by Harold Camping, the Lord was preparing to sound the next message: the 3rd angel’s message.

.

“SIGNS IN THE SUN…MOON, AND…STARS”

.

Oh yes, these three messages were all given by those previous two messengers, to some degree. But now came the time for the 3rd angel’s message to be given in all its fulness. And this message was vastly different, because unlike the first two messages, this third message was inscribed in the very heavens, just as it is written…“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;” Luke 21:25

.

Yes, even on Creation week, thousands of years ago, God had inscribed the messages of the three angels of Revelation, Chapter 14 in the sun, moon, and stars.

.

GOD’S LAST MESSAGE WRITTEN IN HEAVENS

Oh yes, God used an earthly instrument to write about all these signs and what they meant.

.

But these three messages written in the sky are in complete harmony with the Bible.

.

And any diligent Bible student can decipher this message in the sky, using the Bible only.

.

“THE LORD ALONE SHALL BE EXALTED IN THAT DAY!”

Nevertheless, God used a human instrument to proclaim this message on earthly scrolls. But unlike the first two earthly messengers, this third message was given by a very flawed messenger.

.

One reason for this is found in Isaiah 2:11… “The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:” Isaiah 2:11, 12

.

No, God has no desire to exalt any human, during this Day of the Lord. Isaiah, Chapter 2 makes that abundantly clear! And so, God used weakness instead, to proclaim this 3rd message.

THERE’S NO WAY TO WIN!

.

Now there are skeptics who raise the argument: “Why should anyone listen to such a flawed and unrighteous individual, who is no better than any of the rest of us?”

.

And it’s true. Shouldn’t God have sent someone like a Moses or an Elijah, or a John the Baptist: persons with irreproachable character?

.

But the fact is, God did send, not one, but two human messengers, whose lives were, for the most part, above reproach.

.

But sadly, most everyone rejected what they had to say! And they found supposed flaws: slanderous charges that they could lay upon these two individuals, in order to reject their messages.

.

But listen to Jesus, speaking of our hypocrisy…“For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. Matthew 11:18, 19

.

In other words, Jesus was telling the multitudes listening to Him, that no matter who God sends, righteous or unrighteous, most people will find some reason or another, to blame that messenger, as an excuse for their refusal to listen to him or her.

.

Either way, you just can’t win! Critics and skeptics will always find some reason to reject God’s messengers.

“TORMENTED WITH FIRE & BRIMSTONE”

.

But there were other reasons for using corrupt clay in this message.

.

Yes, since the 3rd angel’s message has to do with the Mark of the Beast, and the torment for those who worshiped the beast and his image, the Lord wanted a human to experience that torment, for all onlookers to witness.

.

God did this so that people might understand the true nature of the beast and his image, and the true nature of the torment for all those who possess the mark, or the name, or the number of his name.

.

“False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.”

Psalm 35:11 

.

And so, unlike the previous two messages, Satan had no trouble finding ways to kill the messenger of this 3rd angel’s message. He didn’t even need to manufacture false charges against this messenger.

.

And yet, in addition to actual and true accusations, Satan went beyond, to drum up even some false charges, whispering them into the ears of listening humans, who were ready to fight against this 3rd angel’s message.

.

Yes, Satan didn’t have enough true charges to completely kill the messenger of this message. But God prevented him from completely corrupting this messenger. And so, Satan had to further manipulate the circumstances surrounding this 3rd messenger in order to falsely accuse.

“HE SHALL SIT AS A PURIFIER OF SILVER…AND…GOLD”

Malachi 3:3

.

But concerning this torment (spoken of in Revelation 14), let it be known that God does not inflict pain willingly, merely for punishment’s sake. But rather, through the fiery trials which assailed this 3rd messenger, God sat as a purifier of silver and gold.

.

And God will likewise sit as a purifier of each and every heart and soul of His chosen and faithful ones during this great time of trouble ahead. Yea, this ‘Time of Jacob’s Trouble’ has already commenced in the lives of God’s faithful remnant.

.

But the fires of tribulation will be heated seven-fold hotter in the coming months during the last few years of time.

.

And contrariwise, when this 3rd message finally closes, Satan will no doubt gild it with his “fool’s gold”, so that all who rejected it will be convinced that it was merely the product of human flesh, and not of God, “…yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” John 16:2

.

Oh yes, the 2nd angel’s message gave additional truth and even corrections to the 1st angel’s message. And this 3rd angel’s message made some corrections to the previous two messages. But ultimately, the Bible is the only infallible Word of God, and needs no correction.

.

And so, we have an unmovable anchor of truth to rely on! And the Bible is filled with many promises that our God will carry us forward to total victory!

.

And soon, the Lord Jesus will return in the clouds of glory to take us with Him to live in the glorious Promised Land: to live forever in the land flowing with milk and honey!

.

A Land in which we will never grow old, but be forever young!

THE 2ND ANGEL’S MESSAGE

.

In the 44th year after the close of the 1st angel’s message at the passing of Ellen White in 1915, the Lord began the proclamation of the 2nd angel’s message with the ministry of Family Radio in 1959.

.

Yes, with the advent of radio, the Gospel was finally able to be proclaimed in a growing number of places around the world, by various faithful radio ministries.

.

Unfortunately, the Church was still mired in some major false doctrines which only held them in bondage to error and confusion.

.

Thus came the time for God to raise up one thin little man with a booming voice, named Harold Camping. And like the 1st angel’s messenger, E. G. White, Camping had been a Christian probably from birth. And like Ellen White, Camping likewise lived a pretty much irreproachable life.

.

1959: FAMILY RADIO WAS BORN

.

Beginning as an architectural engineer, Camping started out designing and orchestrating the construction of commercial centers in the Bay Area. But more and more, the Lord tugged at the heart-strings of this slightly odd-looking fellow (due to his over-sized ears. He definitely had “ears to hear”) to begin a Christian radio ministry.

.

And so, with the help of several other men, Camping finally was able to begin broadcasting a weak little radio signal from an office building in the San Francisco area in 1959.

.

Well, it wasn’t very long until he realized that his listeners greatly longed to hear a Bible question/answer call-in talk show. And soon, this additional program became the centerpiece of Family Radio, propelling Camping’s ministry far beyond the Bay Area.

CRAMMING FOR HIS FINALS?

.

Now because Camping was a dedicated Christian, he felt compelled to study the Bible as very few other Christians were willing to do! Consequently, he could occasionally be heard to say, “Long ago, I decided to begin to study the Bible as if I were cramming for my college final-exams.”

.

And, for an average of up to 6 hours per day, armed with an exhaustive concordance, Camping studied his King James Bible, faithfully comparing scripture with scripture, and “comparing spiritual things with spiritual”. 1st Corinthians 2:13

GOSPEL PREACHED VIA SHORTWAVE RADIO

And together with his booming voice, Camping’s teachings could even be heard via the poor shortwave signals in many other countries. Yes, even in places where the static noise of shortwave was so great, Camping’s loud and booming voice could just barely be heard even by many who had to eagerly and willingly hold their ears right up to their shortwave radio speakers in order to hear him over the sea of noisy static airwaves!

And more or less, Camping’s radio ministry went on like this for 52 years, howbeit, steadily growing throughout the world.

“BABYLON IS FALLEN”

.

But as Camping became more and more knowledgeable of the Bible, He slowly began to realize just how apostate the church-world was becoming. And as he realized more unbiblical error often being preached by the so-called “orthodoxy”, his radio station began to be despised by the various congregations and denominations.

.

Finally, God caused Camping to begin to proclaim that “Babylon, the Mother of Harlots” was actually the apostate individual congregations which together comprised God’s apostate church-community.

.

And well into the last half of Camping’s 5-decade ministry, he at last realized that it was his duty to proclaim the message, “Come out of her, My people, that ye not partake of her sins, neither receive of her plagues!” Revelation 18:4

.

And with this announcement, the 2nd angel’s message combined with the call from Revelation 18, to come out of the apostate churches and denominations which constituted spiritual Babylon.

MANY DETRACTORS

Well, needless to say, this modern-day “exodus message” caused great outrage by all many who were familiar with Camping’s ministry.

.

And Camping’s nightly 90-minute talk show became peppered with angry callers who attempted to refute this “outrageous message”: the message that God’s Spirit was no longer working with the various Christian organizations.

.

But because of his vast accumulated knowledge of the Scriptures, it was difficult to refute Camping’s corrections of the various false doctrines which had crept into the church-world over the years and even over the centuries.

A WORLD-WIDE FIRESTORM

.

But then, when it became time for Camping to proclaim the end of the world and the return of Christ, he decided to sound a loud clarion trumpet call for this announcement.

.

And so, Family Radio emptied its entire savings account, in order to buy billboard space to proclaim the end of the world. And all over the world, the message began to be heard that Christ was soon returning to earth. And this created a pandemic firestorm! Camping’s name became somewhat of a house-hold word (usually attached to vile, four-letter denunciations).

A LIFE ABOVE REPROACH!

.

And Satan wasted no time in causing his loyal armies to attack Harold, often by false accusations, calling him “a false prophet”, and “only in it for the money”. But it was hard to make these accusations stick, since Camping’s life was virtually free of covetousness or scandal.

.

And because of that, virtually nobody who personally knew Camping (not even his radio station accountants) could bring any inside personal accusations against this faithful servant of God, other than disagreeing with his new “End of the church-age & Christ’s Return” teachings.

NOBLE BEREANS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!

.

But alas, the Noble Bereans were almost nowhere to be found! And instead of searching the scriptures daily and monthly to prove the veracity of Camping’s message, the Church, by-and-large, began to join in with the world in mocking and scorning Herald Camping. And even most of those who previously associated with him, began to “jump ship” from his ministry!

.

Angry protesters with signs, stood and chanted slanderous slogans in front of his radio stations. Television cameras and microphones were seemingly everywhere, attempting to find some hidden dirt to further malign Camping and his much hated message.

.

Bible teachers reassured their followers that Camping was “crazy off his rocker”, and not to be listened to.

A SEEMINGLY FAILED PREDICTION

.

Well, when the predicted dates for Christ’s return came and went, there began an all-out assault on Family Radio’s C.E.O., Harold Egbert Camping. Insulting caricatures of Camping were posted in the Internet. Sarcastic mockery could be heard on both radio and television, many even calling for Camping’s death! Halloween masks of him were sold!

.

And in a few months time, Harold could no longer endure his supposed failed prediction. He had a massive stroke, and died a few years later, a broken man, but one who still trusted in his Lord even to the very end!

.

And with Camping’s death, the public now felt vindicated and extremely delighted! After all, the world was still intact! No mourners were heard giving Camping’s name a decent burial! Instead, only further mockings, denunciations and rejoicings could be heard that this “false prophet” was now dead. Gifts were exchanged around the world in the form of jokes and mockings and rejoicings that Christ had not returned, and that Harold was finally dead! The churches and the public were delighted!

“PROPHECIES, THEY SHALL FAIL”

1st Corinthians 13:8

.

But what few, if any, people realized was, that Camping’s supposed failed prediction was actually purposely orchestrated by God “to prepare the way for the kings of the east”, i.e., God’s last-day remnant people to stand in the battle of the last Great Day of the Lord, referred to in the Hebrew tongue as Armageddon.

.

And Camping’s supposed “false and failed prophecy” also allowed the Lord to prepare the way for the 3rd and final angel’s message.

.

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration into another area of concern.

Let’s review the key Bible passage…

“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea:

who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,

in that they received the word with all readiness of mind,

and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:

1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”

.

2. “And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And so, the Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.

.

Thus there was an open-mindedness which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to search the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!

There is a very old saying within the Church, which goes like this, “If you can’t kill the message, then you must kill the messenger!”

“BUT ME IT (THE WORLD) HATETH”

Yes, Jesus was the prime example of what it means in the above saying…“If you can’t kill the message, then kill the messenger!”

.

That’s exactly what they did to Jesus, because they could not kill the message that He brought to the world.

“JERUSALEM WHICH KILLEST THE PROPHETS”

But Jesus was not the only messenger killed because of His message. No, as today’s opening verse reveals…“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate:” Luke 13:34, 35

.

Here is the testimony from the lips of Jesus during His earthly ministry, that the very people whom God called to love Him, hated not only Him, but hated all those messengers sent by Him.

“THEREFORE, THE WORLD HATETH YOU (Christians)”

But please don’t think that the rest of us are innocent of His blood!

Just listen to this next verse…“If ye were of the world,

the world would love his own:

but because ye are not of the world,

but I have chosen you out of the world,

therefore the world hateth you.”

John 15:19

.

Here is Jesus’ indictment against the entire world! Yes, the whole world hates Jesus, even most of those who profess to love Him.

This is because we love this present evil Antichrist world-system, and hate the unselfish kingdom of Heaven!

“YE…KILLED THE PRINCE OF LIFE!”

Acts 3:14, 15

And so, all through history, the world, along with the apostate portion of the Church has gone about to destroy the messengers which God has sent to us!

.

We all stand guilty of this crime. The world could not kill the message brought by Christ and His fellow messengers, so we instead killed them!

.

Now this fact has been true even in New Testament times. From the days of the early Church, to the Reformation era, and even to the present day, Satan and his loyal citizens have engaged in killing all those who faithfully proclaimed the message of the Gospel of Jesus!

.

Oh yes, not all of Christ’s faithful followers were literally killed. But even such messengers as Wycliffe and Luther were verbally stoned by the world (and by the world-loving portion of the Church).

SEARCH THESE THINGS OUT, O NOBLE BEREAN!

In conclusion, we Christians today must likewise be “Noble Bereans” and study these matters out, with fresh eyes and an open mind, not prisoners of the so-called “orthodoxy”!

And may God grant us all this great gift to be able to do this!

Why are so many cities and towns falling into utter dystopian disarray and decay?

And why are so many cities filling up with homeless drug addicts and mentally-deranged souls?

And why are millions of non-citizens pouring over our borders, often bringing in deadly drugs to sell to these unfortunate addicts?

And why are state governments beginning to legalize deadly hallucinogenic drugs, creating a drug addiction crisis, the likes of which has never been seen throughout history?

Now, if we listen to the political commentators, then we understand that one particular political party and its supporting voters have created and allowed this homeless/drug crisis to spawn and thrive.

Yes, why be complicit in this obvious self-destruction of society?

Well, that particular political entity insists that such permissiveness is “the compassionate thing to do”.

And of course, this same political power-group has spearheaded many similar (and costly) “compassionate” projects over the past decades.

Unfortunately, all this tender mercy being extended by this political power-group has caused a whole lot of trouble, and brought this society to its knees, socially, politically, spiritually, financially, and ultimately to its total collapse in the future!

THE FALSE PROPHET BEAST

.

What also must be understood, is that the Bible forewarned of a beast-like power which would appear in the last days, having two horns like a lamb, and speaks as a dragon. Revelation names this beast-power as, “The False Prophet”.

.

So, this False Prophet antichrist spirit is the 2nd Beast of Revelation 13…“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” Revelation 13:11

.

So this 2nd Beast-power is Satan’s deceptive spirit which counterfeits the Lamb of God, Jesus! And yet he “speaks as a dragon”.

THE 1ST BEAST

.

Okay, so the 2nd Beast of Revelation 13 has been introduced into this discussion.

.

But just what or who is that 1st Beast of Revelation 13?

.

You must remember that “beasts” in the Bible were often symbolic of kingdoms (see Daniel Chapter 7).  And likewise, that multifaceted 1st Beast was comprised of kings and kingdoms (read Revelation, Chapter 17).

.

To put it concisely, this multi-faceted beast, made of kings and kingdoms is Satan’s antichrist world-system: this fallen world, and the kingdoms which have ruled supreme throughout history. The whore riding the beast represents the apostate church throughout history.

.

THE 2ND BEAST

.

But after this 1st beast received his deadly wound by a sword (“the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God” Ephesians 6:13, 14), which was the printing press and all the Bibles it produced, Satan altered his modus-operandi, establishing a new and improved Beast.

.

The new beast, the False Prophet, was actually Satan’s antichrist spirit working in and through his vast unseen armies to deceive the world and cause them to worship the mortally-wounded 1st beast, Satan and his kingdom, this antichrist world-system. 

.

THE FALSE PROPHET’S TWO HORNS: MERCY & JUSTICE

.

But before we get into some very tall weeds, let’s back out and focus on just one of this False Prophet beast’s two horns. Yes, the Bible reveals that this second beast has two horns like a lamb. And of course, the Lamb of God, Jesus has two horns of power, Mercy and Truth.

.

But our focus today is only on the mercy horn of this False Prophet. And as we look out upon the political landscape, we can readily see that “Left Horn” to be the aforementioned political entity which claims to be the arbiters and defenders of mercy and compassion.

.

But unlike Jesus, who is the essence of true mercy and compassion, this false prophet beast is a terrible counterfeit of true mercy and compassion!

.

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away”

2nd Timothy 3:5 

.

And so, this Left Horn of the False Prophet, being his “mercy/compassion” horn, is greatly dedicated to performing acts of so-called, “compassion”.

.

Thus, when this Left Horn sits on the throne of power, we should not be surprised to see this power-group greatly implementing social programs which outwardly appear to be merciful and compassionate. Yes, they have an outward “form of godliness”, but are void of the “Spirit of Christ”, “the Spirit of Truth”. (See Romans 8:9, 1st Peter 1:11 & 1st John 4:6)

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread…neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy”

And yet, just like what we’re seeing with the homeless crisis, the Left Horn’s mercy is extremely misguided! After all, by allowing drugs to freely pour over our borders, and into the hands of men, women, and even children, we have created an entire class of dysfunctional drug-addicts, living on the streets throughout many cities and towns!

.

And while the Left Horn’s permissiveness gives them the misguided notion (and bragging rights) that they are “the people of compassion”, they are actually imprisoning thousands, maybe millions into Satan’s tangled web of deadly addictions!

“…and the cities of the nations fell”

Revelation 16:19

But this so-called compassion is not just destroying countless lives through addiction. But this counterfeit compassion is likewise making life more difficult for the rest of society as well. Not only is the False Prophet beast’s Left Horn draining the economy dry through financing this homeless/drug crisis (and other expensive programs), but also are wreaking havoc on many cities and towns across the nation!

.

In other words, by “mercifully” allowing these drug addicts to set up their camps just about wherever they please, they are destroying entire metro areas, by causing businesses and patrons to flee.

.

Drug-fueled lifestyles of stealing, looting, prostitution, and senseless violence have caused many thriving commercial centers to literally devolve into dystopian hellscapes, with zombie-like drug-fiends wandering the streets both day and night in search of another fix, another bottle, another theft, another rape, and another victim!

More often than not, this so-called “compassionate” power-source group has little interest in the “nuts-n-bolts” issues of running cities and nations, but mostly is focused on social-justice issues (thereby increasing their own political power and authority). This lack of proper ‘nuts-n-bolts’ management is another reason why their cities are crumbling, and their cluttered and neglected forests are burning.

But before we begin pointing the accusing finger at the politicians who helped to create this existential crisis, we need to “give credit where credit is due”, as the old saying goes.

In other words, as the Bible clearly reveals…“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” Ephesians 6:12

Come on! Are we really going to delude ourselves into believing that all this well-orchestrated evil and destruction is merely happenstance?! Can we not discern that there exists an unseen world of spirit-beings, the true movers-and-shakers of this antichrist world-system?!

It was prophesied long ago concerning this present hour…“and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.” Revelation 16:19

Yes, God long-ago foresaw the demise of Satan’s Babylonish, antichrist world-system! And the downfall of the “cities of the nations” appears to be an integral part of Satan’s preparation for the coming police-state, totalitarian furnace-of-affliction!

Therefore, mere unsaved humans are not the true culprits in the destruction of the cities! They are merely the instruments which Satan uses to carry out his end-time assault! They are the useful pawns in Lucifer’s deadly chess-game against fallen mankind.

After all, what today’s erring Bible teachers ignore and neglect to tell their flock, is that while Christians “are not appointed to wrath”, we are indeed appointed to tribulation! And the coming “time of trouble” is being specifically allowed by God to purify His people from every trace of love for this selfish world! (1st Thessalonians 5:9 & Daniel 12:1)

Yes, the many trials ahead are designed to burn away the dross, so that we can say…“But He (God) knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Rev. 12:3

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not. But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars. The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration into another area of concern.

Let’s review the key Bible passage… “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10, 11

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

.

Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:

.

1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”

.

2. “And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And because of this excellent, open-minded Spirit, the Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.

.

Thus, there was an open-minded love for truth which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to search the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!

TODAY’S CANCEL CULTURE

.

A recent phenomenon we witness today, is what has become tagged as “Cancel Culture”.

.

And this seemingly new phenomenon is the act of attempting to weaponize some misdeed or sin as a way to discount or even destroy some individual.

A CANCEL-CULTURE WORLD

But as most us realize, this so-called “Cancel Culture” has been a favorite means of cancelling out some individual even as far back as the Garden of Eden, when Lucifer, speaking through a serpent, tried to cancel out the Creator God, by accusing Him of selfishness…“For God doth know that in the day in which you shall eat of it, ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil!” Genesis, Chapter 3.

Yes, so many humans have been “cancelled” over the past millenniums, because of some accusation, either a true one but also many false accusations.

And a very troubling aspect to today’s Cancel-Culture is to find fault with some person because of something they might have done or said in past decades. But one of the problems which critics of the cancel-culture point concerning this current practice is that the morals of society are changing so rapidly that what some accused individual said or did years previous, were acceptable back in those decades.

One example of this is how today’s cancel-culture fanatics have tried to cancel the founders of this nation because of some words or deeds they supposedly did, which were in sync with the commonly acceptable morals of those times.

Now, many of us in the Christian community gaze out on our society and look with disgust at today’s cancel-culture for their dishonesty and hypocrisy.

For example, one of the most common criticisms which her detractors make is that Ellen G. White stole or plagiarized some of her writings.

Well, what today’s church-leaders ignore is that back in the 1800’s, it was a commonly acceptable practice to borrow the writings of other Christian authors.

As a matter of fact, Christian authors were mostly delighted to have their written thoughts shared by other authors! They viewed this practice as a glory to God, to think that their writings were shared!

JUDGING ELLEN WHITE BY TODAY’S AVARICIOUS STANDARDS

And let’s not forget, that we now live in a day in which there are strict copyright laws, and very jealous attempt to prevent others from borrowing from another Christian author. But it wasn’t like this back in previous generations.

.

For example, Ellen White was asked by various people to condense a rather large volume on the Book of Acts, written by another author. She made no effort to cover this up, as if she was some sort of plagiarist. No, she freely made clear that her simplifying that author’s work, was merely done to make the book more easily readable.

.

But her critics today ignore that the laws and common practices in the 1800’s were vastly different from today’s stringent standards!
