SATAN: A TRUE BRIDGE-BUILDER!?

You would think that being called a “Bridge-builder” has to be a good thing!

.

Well, most of the time it is a good thing!

.

After all, being a peace-maker, and a reconciler is a very good quality to have!

.

Well, it’s a good thing, unless of course we’re talking about Lucifer!

.

But how in the world can we possibly call Lucifer a “bridge-builder”!?!

.

MADE OF MANY “GOOD” THINGS

.

Well, one great principle that must be remembered, now that we are in the time of the False Prophet (this present-day antichrist society), is that he has bridged the gap between the Church and this evil world with many things which have the appearance of goodness: Innocent amusements! High-paying careers! Interesting hobbies! Intriguing sciences!

.

And it gives his Satanic Majesty no greater pleasure than to see Christians walking across this bridge, back into the world!

BUILT WITH MANY “NICE” THINGS!

.

And so, “the god of this world” has constructed this bridge back into the world: a bridge which has been built with a lot of seemingly good, even innocent things!

.

There are places to see, resorts to relax at, clubs to join, sports games to play (or watch), expensive insurance plans to buy, dramas to intrigue, worldly investments, confederations to pledge-allegiance to, operas, concerts and plays and musicals to dress up for, newspapers to relax and read or TV news to watch, holidays to plan for and celebrate, school events to attend, teams to cheer, and on and on this list goes!

.

And the world loves these things!

.

But that’s their prerogative! After all, the world is not on the Narrow Upward Pathway, as Believers are supposed to be climbing.

“ANOTHER JESUS…& ANOTHER SPIRIT”

2nd Corinthians 11:4

.

But should the Christian let his or her guard down, before long, as we join hands, so to speak, with the world, it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish the Christian from the worldling.

.

But the Bible warns… “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?…Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 (click to read all)

Yes, as this above passage commands, there must be a separation from the world, if ever we wish for God to treat us as His children!

“A PECULIAR PEOPLE”

.

Read once again…“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?…Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 (read all here)

Notice in this above passage, that it almost sounds like separation is a pre-requisite to God dealing with us as His children! If for no other reason than to maintain a distinction between the Believer and the world, we need to keep a separation from the many seemingly nice things, which the False Prophet has built his bridge with. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:” 1st Peter 2:9.

.

Now such a verse as this, calling Christians a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, is an absolutely preposterous idea to many!

.

And let’s face it, most of us don’t like rejection. It’s human nature to want to be accepted. Not too many wish to be seen as an “odd duck”! And so, many Christians try very hard to blend in.

IS ‘BLENDING-IN’ A BAD THING?

.

And truthfully, there’s nothing wrong with trying to blend-in. On the other hand, there’s nothing wrong with being distinctively Christian either!

.

The problem comes in when a Christian begins to adorn his or her self with ungodly adornments: un-Christ-like conversation, dementing associations, corrupting amusements and compromising places of revelry.

.

All these seemingly nice things begin to becloud our spiritual senses, and gradually and imperceptibly revert us back into the spirit of the world.

.

SORRY, BRIDGE OUT!

.

Oh well, yes, we must work and raise our families, and do other things in society. And it’s true, we can’t come completely out of the world. But the fact is, we can come a good way out, if we so-choose!

.

And no, we are not to begin wearing uniforms, grow a long beard, or speak in “Thee’s” and “Thou’s”.

.

But, rather, we need to guard our heart with all diligence against becoming one in spirit with the world…We need to NOT allow ourselves to cross that bridge back into the world. We need to study God’s Word, to understand just where the proper boundary-line is between using, but not abusing the things of the world.

.

THE ARK IN THE HEAVENS

.

.

If a person goes out at night, beginning in April (earlier in southern-most latitudes, and later in northern-most), in the pre-dawn hour, they just might locate the constellation commonly referred to as theSagittarius Constellation . It is located in the southern sky. (Each night it appears a little earlier, slowly inching westward, through the summer, until it finally disappears below the western horizon in November.)

At first, it simply appears as two twin birds flying westward. But if you look once again, it just might appear as a long box-like figure, with one star on the right, as you face it, and two stars on the left. The box, of course would be the Ark, and the stars on either side would represent angels, which are sometimes referred to as stars in the Bible (for instance, “the seven stars are the angels…” Revelation 1:20). To the right is a star-chart from Wikipedia, in which the editor of this site has sketched in this Sagittarius Constellation, to show how God created it to appear.
