“The Wayward Son & America”

“And he (Jesus) said,
A certain man had two sons:
And the younger of them said to his father,
Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me…
and took his journey into a far country,
and there wasted his substance with riotous living.”

This above parable which Jesus told, has great spiritual implications for many Jews, for the Church, and even for the individual Christian. And it has been an encouragement for many lost souls who likewise spent their past lives in rebellion against Heaven and against Heaven’s Jesus!
.
When reading the entire parable it actually is the story of redemption. In other words, the wayward son ended up broke, homeless, and hungry, and this young man, “… would eat what the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.” Luke 15:16
.

A HAPPY ENDING FOR THAT REPENTANT SON!
.
Well, this little story ends with the wayward son returning back to his Father in repentance. But instead of responding with scorn and punishment, the Father said, “Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this My son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.” Luke 15:22-24
.
Yes, there have been many sinners who felt too wretched and sinful to think that God might forgive them, but who took heart by this extremely encouraging parable! And they too, returned to God and found full forgiveness and restoration!

BRAVE BEGINNINGS
.
Yes, the Bible probably has implications far beyond what we might now realize!
.
For example, if we look at the United States, we see a nation built by leather-tough pioneers and brave, self-sacrificing soldiers who put their lives on the line to establish and preserve a God-given nation, dedicated to “freedom of religious/political speech and liberty of conscience”.

“But they that will be rich fall into…into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.”
1st Timothy 6:9

But as the decades progressed, this nation became extremely prosperous via the produce and natural resources of the earth, combined with many marvelous innovations!
.
However, to a great degree, this current generation are much like pampered children who grow up in a rich man’s house. Many of us just do not appreciate our heritage, nor the vast riches we have inherited.
.
To a great degree, we didn’t have to work for what we have. It was left to us by our forefathers. And as a result of our ingratitude, we now treat this great experiment in free speech and liberty of conscience, called “The United States” as carelessly as the proverbial “bull in a china shop”
.

A SHORT-LIST OF OUR SQUANDERING
.
1. Reckless and even suicidal spending by irresponsible congress-people, governors, and presidents!
.
2. Rapidly declining morals, that might even make the citizens of Sodom & Gomorrah blush!
.
3. Self-destructive laws and a defiant rebellion against our constitution, all brought to us by congress-people who don’t even seem to care, that what they are doing will inevitably result in the destruction of this once great nation!
.
4. The stamping out of free-speech by the media Goliaths!
.
5. Imposing increasing restrictions upon citizen-rights, concerning various issues, imposing mandates which were once thought to be best left to individual choice.
.
6. The trampling on the right to life: a right guaranteed in the constitution.
.
7. A great percentage of the populace now engage in self-destruction through the use of dysfunctional, harmful, addictive, and even deadly substances.
.
8. Careless and corrupt judges no longer upholding the rule of law.
.
9. we are much like immature children at the playground, engaging in finger-pointing and name-calling instead of discussing our political/social/religious differences, as mature adults do.
.
10. Illegally allowing millions to simply flood over our borders, instead of insisting on entrance through proper legal channels, as this nation’s rule of law demands. (And throughout the Bible, there are many examples of God being very insistent that His people maintained strict border control. For just one example, see Revelation 21:27 & 22:14, 15)
.
It’s so sad to see the self-destruction of this once-great civilization, just as with any broken-hearted father, if he could tearfully witness his children squander his hard-earned savings upon their personal debauchery and riotous living!

And let’s not forget how that bankrupt young man in the parable eventually became a servant and companion of swine!

Well, maybe we won’t literally end up in the swine trough. But there will indeed be a day of recompense for any society which willingly destroys what God has blessed them with!
.
And there will be a replacement for a nation founded by God upon the platform of religious/political liberty of conscience!
.
Oh yes, pay-day is almost here! And we spoiled and ungrateful children will get to “enjoy” the coming alternative replacement government!

GOOD NEWS FROM A FAR COUNTRY!

Well, in spite of this sad, even tragic situation, there is much Good News! Yes, even though we cannot stem the tide of evil and destruction now sweeping over the land like a devastating tsunami, there still remains hope!
.
That’s right, there is deliverance for any man, woman, or child who wishes to escape “when the overflowing scourge shall pass through!” Isaiah 28:15, 18 & 30:28
.
Remember John Bunyan’s allegorical Tale, Pilgrim’s Progress? Remember how the pilgrim escaped The City of Destruction? That’s right! He began his pilgrimage out of that doomed city, onward and upward to The Celestial City!
.
And that’s exactly how we can also escape this doomed planet, ripe for fiery destruction!
.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;
in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat,
the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought ye to be
in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,
wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

LOCATING THIS CONSTELLATION GROUP…

Look eastward in the early summer through fall. Find the Cassiopeia Constellation. Cassiopeia is the Mount of Blessing. In the sketch, it is the farthest mountain to the left. In the sky, it is the northern-most of these three mountains when facing eastward. It resembles a pyramid.

Then find the second pyramid to its right (south).

Then go a little further south to the next third pyramid. The third snow-cap is the Destroying Mountain Constellation.

These three pyramids are the snow-capped portion of these three mountains in this sketch. (of course, you won’t see the snow-caps in the sky. They are just an embellishment in this sketch to present a concept-EDITOR).

THE VALLEY OF DECISION CONSTELLATION GROUP.

They appear in mid-summer in the eastern skies in pre-dawn hours. These are made of Cassiopeia (mount on left), and various stars from the Andromeda Constellation (valley) Pegasus (Mount of Cursing (middle mount) & Destroying Mount (right)), and Pisces (Broad Way to Hell). The galaxy which appears to be climbing the Mountain of Blessing is the Andromeda Galaxy.

The above Wikipedia star-chart shows this amazing constellation group as it appears from June to fall, just prior to the winter constellation group.
