The tragic fact is, things just keep getting worse and worse in both, the world, and the church-world!

And as we survey the landscape around the world and the church-world, this entire “Pre-Tribulation Rapture” theory is now beginning to appear like it’s just a complete sham!

And so, there are many who are waking up from their false sense of security, and asking the question…
…”What can I do to prepare myself for Armageddon?
…How can I possibly go through the horrible times ahead, when I have been lulled to sleep by all those smooth-talking prophets, who had been crying, ‘Peace! Peace!’, when there really was no peace?'” (Jeremiah 6:14)
And joyfully, the preparation for such a victorious walk through the “Devouring Fire” now igniting right before our very eyes, is all zip-locked into the 1st two little verses of Psalm 1.

Listen to the words of the “Sweet Psalmist of Israel”…
“Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in His Law doth he meditate day and night.”
Psalm 1:1, 2

Yes, there are four components to this passage, which David sings to us in poetic imagery.

And we will take them individually, “unpacking them one-by-one”(to say it in computer jargon.)
And so, we humans are naturally accustomed to respond to life’s situations in a faithless manner.
*When somebody hits us, we hit back.
*We protect our household with insurance policies, alarm systems, watchdogs and handguns.
*We like those who like us and dislike those who dislike us.
*We meet violence with violence.
*We are polite to those who are polite with us.
*We are impatient with “slow-pokes”, cursing at them to “Hurry up!”.
*We repay kind deeds with like like-minded kind deeds.
*We tell “little white lies”, fudge on our taxes and anything else which seems expedient/beneficial at the time.
*We keep a running tab in our mind, on what this person owes us, or that person owes us.
*And should they forbear to repay, then we simply cut them off from any future act of generosity on our part.
*If necessary, we use anger and sharpness to compel others to cooperate.
*We use mockery and sarcastic humor to decimate our enemies, whenever possible.
*We use harsh four-letter words to put an exclamation mark on our speech.
*We meet force with equal or greater force.
*We make contracts and agreements, and use the court system to resolve our disputes.
*We love our family, and like our neighbor and tolerate the world around us.
*When our wife or children die, we cry. When our neighbor dies, we offer a kind word. And though untold thousands of people die each day around the world, we simply brush it off as no big deal! We say, “Tsk, tsk!” at all the suffering in the world.
*And as long as we can enjoy this world of sin and selfishness, we have no intention of renouncing this world, and following Jesus.
But now that God has called us out of this land of Babylon, the land of death, He has given us an instruction manual, the Bible, which lays out the pathway to everlasting life.

And this incredible Book reveals a completely new and totally different way of dealing with life!

It showcases “the life of faith”.
.
And it is opposed to the faithless ways of this unbelieving world!

Therefore, simply put, we no longer walk in the faithless counsels of the ungodly world all around us!

SATAN’S FRONT-MEN

So, how does this great deceiver do it?

Simple! He merely raises up charismatic and attractive personalities to sell his product.

And since one popular television program can be viewed by millions of viewers around the world, he can merely pick a handful of these attractive celebrities to become his chief spokesmen and Icons of Success from each category of his various worldly lifestyles.
And of course, Satan doesn’t want his loyal citizens to get bored, so he creates a multifaceted kingdom, in which a variety of lifestyles are showcased upon the world-stage!

So, take your pick!

What kind of lifestyle are you looking for?
.
Would you like to be that beautiful la-femme-fatale seductress?
.
Well, it’s not hard to find one! Just flip the channel!
.
Or perhaps, you want to be her counterpart: that hard-boiled, tough talking, no-nonsense guy!
.
Yes, he’s playing opposite of that femme-fatale.
.
Or maybe you would rather be the bubbly and pretty girl-next-door.
.
Or you want to be her wide-eyed choir-boy type boyfriend!
.
Just flip the channel, and you’ll find them!
.
Or maybe you want to be the bad-boy, rap-singer, or his bad-girl, gal-pal! Just go to that music channel, or that movie channel. You’ll find them too!
.
Or perhaps you wish to be the adventurous type, who lives on the cutting edge of life!
.
Surfing in some tropical paradise…
.
…or ballooning over the Grand Canyon…
.
…or dining by candlelight, while eating some creepy-crawly exotic cuisine in a Far-East cafe!
.
Well, the Great Babylonian Dream Machine will churn out that designer-dream just tailor-made for you!
.
And of course, these are just a few of the countless dreams which the False Prophet is now churning out of the smokestacks of Hollywood these days!
But there is one thing that all these seemingly attainable puffs of earthly dreams have in common!
.
Eventually, they all lead to deterioration, destruction, and ultimately, to death and the grave (Sheol means, “the grave”, or “Hell”)!

This is the big lie of the False Prophet!
.
He never shows us the ultimate results of his earthly dreams.
.
He only shows us the very shining tip of the beautiful crest of his waves!
.
That is, he only shows us the highlights of his worldly dreams!
.
He seldom exposes the grim reality of his selfish and self-destructive lifestyles!
.

SATAN, THE PIED PIPER OF BABYLON

Yes, Satan’s frontmen are often smiling, mostly fresh-faced, ever hopeful, and always fulfilled!

And like the proverbial Lemmings, we have all bought into Satan’s lies, “hook, line, and sinker”, as this old saying goes!
.
Listen… “and all the world wondered after the beast.
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast:
and they worshipped the beast,
saying, Who is like unto the beast?
who is able to make war with him?”

Yes, like those gullible Lemming metaphors, the whole world wonders after, and follows after this world-system Beast-power which Satan has created: this antichrist world-system!

Think of it this way…

We Christians are like the industrious little ant, doing our diligence to complete the task before us: busily gathering the Bread of Life, and becoming changed into His glorious likeness.

And Satan is like the giant person, who stamps his foot in front of our pathway, hoping to stop us from accomplishing our mission!

And Satan will throw obstacles across our pathway, just about anything he possibly can, in attempt to divert us from, “keeping the main thing, the main thing!”
Whatever he thinks will divert us: whether it is some busy-busy ambitious career, or some selfish pleasure, busy-sports-activities, or hearing all the day’s political wranglings, or some time-consuming hobby, or social club, or an all-consuming romance with some marginal Christian, or inordinate music listening, or any combination of various earthly endeavors.

And if all else fails, Satan will even try to divert us, by getting us sidetracked into some Christian mission, or humanitarian project, or perhaps some study of science, history, or health books, Creation and prophecy seminars!
.
Anything to keep us from, “keeping the main thing, the main thing!”
.
Yes, the one thing that Satan hates above all else, is to see a person prayerfully studying our Bible, in attempt to hide its “great and precious promises” into our heart!
And so, the next time I see these busy little ants doing their diligence to accomplish their appointed work, I must remember that God has given His people the same commission as Paul had…
..”Brethren…this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize
of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Paul knew what the main thing was, and he kept it as the main thing!
This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars.

It appears as an outline of a rider.
.
Only the back of his head is detailed.
.
And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed.

Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horse’s mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane).

The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey.
.
The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg.
.
All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

Since this constellation has just been revealed, there may be more to this constellation in the coming months.

But if you can locate the Goodly Horse in Battle Constellation, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating this Rider Constellation, provided you have excellent star-watching conditions.

Yes, as this above verse reveals, all things are lawful for the Christian, but not all things are wise to engage in.

For instance, those who engage in drinking are taking a chance on becoming a prisoner of alcohol.

And if the reader has ever been a prisoner to some addiction, then he or she well knows how miserable and destructive such a life of bondage can be!

And there are few addictions as powerful as alcohol drinking.

It sneaks up ever-so imperceptibly and gently slips its shackles upon that person, before they’re even aware, and casts them into an invisible prison, from which they may never escape!

MANY TESTS IN THE BIBLE

There’s an old saying which goes, “Give a man enough rope and he will hang himself!”

Well, God gives a Christian enough rope in the Bible, to hang himself, so to speak.

Those Christians who are still worldly-minded will fall into the various pitfalls which are often found in Scripture.

And truth-be-told, the Bible is a supernatural book. It must be interpreted by the Holy Spirit, to find truth.
.
But Satan will come as an “angel of light”, to attempt to deceive the mind of the naive Bible student.

And 2nd Corinthians 11 also reveals that Satan has his own counterfeit “ministers of righteousness”, who are in many pulpits, speaking perhaps 90% truth, and 10% “damnable heresies”.

So the Christian must be watchful and vigilant…
…”Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

LIVING IN A CORNUCOPIAN SUPER-SOCIETY

The way things are today, are vastly different than the way things were back then!

Alcohol is instantly available in today’s world, where in times past, it was much more difficult to find!

Quite often, it was more difficult to even obtain grapes, and the waiting time for fermentation took weeks.

Today, just go into any store, and pay a few dollars, and you’ll be drunk in 30 minutes or less!
.
And so, the possibility of becoming a drunkard is far greater today, than it was back in the early days of the Church.
with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life,
and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them
that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always,
that ye may be accounted worthy
to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man.”

Here above God Jesus is warning us to not allow the pleasures and pursuits of life to cause us to get drowsy and unwatchful!

But as we all know, it is so easy to fall into a narcotic-like state of mind! As Bunyan wrote, “We are on enchanted ground!”

The Christian is to be sober and vigilant at all times.
.
And the truth is, those Christians who partake of wine, are most likely not being “sober and vigilant.”

And chances are, they have forgotten that we are being judged at every moment… “What is man…that Thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?” Job 7:17, 18

God’s Spirit is literally everywhere…

Now listen to this next passage which also seems to condone wine…
“He (God)…causeth wine that maketh glad the heart of man,
and oil to make his face to shine,
and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.”

The Bible can be very tricky, since much of it is written in allegories.
.
This above passage seems to have a literal connotation, which applies to the unsaved of the world.
.
But this above passage likewise has a spiritual application, referring to the, “wine of Christ’s blood”, the “oil of the Holy Spirit”, and the, “bread of life”, which is the life of Jesus.
Not a very pleasant description, wouldn’t you agree?

And quite often, what begins with the tradition of a little glass of wine with dinner, eventually turns into full-blown drunkenness, a few years down the line, especially when problems arise!
In the areas of life which are not so clearly defined in Scripture, we have a safeguard in the life of the Lord Jesus…
…”Jesus saith…I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
John 14:6

And when in doubt about what we should or shouldn’t be doing, we need to ask ourselves the question… “What would Jesus do if He was in my situation? How did He live His life on earth?”

Asking such questions will usually solve our dilemma, concerning the path we must take.
But listen to Paul, as he exhorts us to imitate himself…“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” 1st Corinthians 11:1

God has also graciously provided another role-model, the Apostle, Paul!

By the time a Christian filters his questionable situation through the exemplary lives of these two role-models, most cloudy and questionable situations will quickly clear up!

And speaking of flowers and grass, have you ever gone to, say, Walmart, and bought a sack of topsoil?

Really, the Book of Ecclesiastes is all about, just how Man lives for a few decades, and then returns to the earth, and forgotten under the sands of time.
This is perhaps one of the most amazing constellations that God has created!

It truly looks like a flower, and appears to be blowing in the direction of westward.

But as autumn draws near, this constellation appears to bow itself down, just like the flowers of Earth bow down, at the summer’s end.

And these are not merely obscure stars. These are among the biggest and brightest stars in the night heavens!

The Two Turtle-Doves Constellation is also known as Sagittarius .
.
The Flower of the Field is commonly known as Scorpio.
.
But there is another obvious aspect to this constellation group.

Notice that the birds are flying in the same direction as the flower is bending; it is as if the east wind is blowing these heavenly messengers…

“The wind blows where it desires,
and you hear the sound thereof,
but canst not tell whence it comes,
and where it goes:
so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

It has become apparent, on this date, that as summer draws to a close, this“Flower of the Field” “Constellation appears to bend almost completely down.

This occurs as it travels into the western skies.
.
It somehow rotates in order to produce this effect.
.
This is a very wonderful phenomenon…and biblical too!

After all, the Bible says, “the grass withers and the flower falls away”.
.
And that’s exactly what this flower constellation seems to do.

It almost seems to be bowing itself…in the direction of that bright and beautiful star, “Arcturus” (which represents Jesus). This would make sense.

After all, Scripture states…

Bel bows down, Nebo stoops…
They stoop, they bow down together…

In this parable of the Unjust Steward, Jesus noted that the people of the world, “are in their generation wiser than the children of light.”

Therefore, it would be a wise practice to take note of how the people of this world prepare themselves for trouble and translate to how we might likewise prepare in the spiritual realm.

MAKING DEALS WITH OUR SELF

Well, for most of us, we know more than we do in pleasing the Lord.
.
Most do not imitate the Lord Jesus, as we would like to!
The point is, we may not be able to give our everything to the Lord right at this point.
.
But if we would only think about it, there is always something that we CAN do, though it falls short of the ideal.
.
And of course, this is only one example.
.
And as we all know, there are many other areas of the Christian life, in which we might make similar deals with our own self, as a temporary solution, while hoping to eventually grow increasingly more spiritual.
And whether or not this is the true meaning, it nevertheless is a Bible truth of how we are to grow, little by little, in our spiritual life.

And if we will begin today to do what we can do, we just might find that a new door soon opens for us to take a further step up that gently ascending heavenly pathway!

And as a result, Josiah began a crusade throughout the land, to root out and demolish every idol and destroy the “high-places” and “groves”, which people had erected for the worship of pagan idols.
Now, it sure is a wonderful thing that we Christians can read these old stories, and take comfort that we don’t worship idols in the high places and groves!

And we haven’t lost the Book of the Law, as those foolish people did, back in those days!

We have our Bible right over there on the shelf!

As a matter of fact, we may have up to about half a dozen Bibles on that shelf!
But the sad fact is, statistics show that most Christians are very biblically-challenged, to put it mildly!

Statistics show that most Christians are so busy in the world, that we have little time, little energy, and little inclination to do anything but a superficial reading of our Bibles.

But while today’s idolatry comes in different forms than in Bible times, yet it is still very definitely idolatry!
The great problem is, that we live in a society in which, “the god of this world” has become very high-tech in his effort to conform us into his unholy image!

And as a result, today’s Christian has become so fully indoctrinated by nearly everything around us, that we have come to view the world, in much the same way as unbelievers view the world!
.
And because we must continue to live and work and eat, it is somewhat difficult to know just where to draw the boundary line for being, “in the world, but not of the world”.

SATAN’S TAKESNO VACATIONS!

But we must be, “wise as serpents”, knowing that Satan is not one little bit, complacent in his efforts to destroy us! (Matthew 10:16)

No, Satan and his fellow workers (both seen and unseen), are working around the clock to put us and our children into shackles: helpless prisoners of his antichrist world-system!

And now, with the advent of hand-held high-tech devices, it is almost guaranteed that our children will become conformed to the image of the beast (Satan’s antichrist world-system, which he created to be a reflection of his unholy likeness)!

A QUIET CRUSADE
.
“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do (to mind) your own business,” 1st Thessalonians 4:11

And so, just what can we do as a people?

Absolutely nothing! There is absolutely nothing we can do, “as a people”, to solve this problem!

But, as an individual, there is much that a Believer can do!
.
And the first thing that I must do in my own personal life, is to become a, “Josiah Christian!”

TO BECOME LIKE JOSIAH
.
And just how do I become a Josiah Christian?
.
Well, the very first thing that Josiah did, was to drink in copious amounts of God’s Law-Book, the Bible!
.
Yes, the Christian is to become fully immersed in God’s Word, and in unceasing prayer and praise!
.
As I go about my employment, or as I take a walk, or participate in recreation with my family, I can “think on these things”, quietly and secretly!
.
In other words, I can silently pray, and contemplate God’s Word, even on the run!
Next is to return to the Lord in prayer and pleading for grace to make reforms in my own life!
.
The Lord will ultimately give me power to turn off the TV, or radio, and instead turn on some quiet strings, like those plucking strings of David’s harp.
This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter.
.
Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story).
But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark).

While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions.

It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

Now in the vision of the prophet, Habakkuk, was a frightful situation in which the people of God were surrounded by unbelievers, causing perverted judgment to proceed forth from God’s people.
Now as we look around at the sad and apostate condition of the church-world, we see a very similar condition today!

Yes, God’s people are being destroyed from without and from within.

The Revelation 12 Dragon has flooded the churches with every conceivable means of destructive influence.

From apostate church members and clergy, to high-tech devices, radio, and television, to the atheistic public school system, Satan and his countless followers are now working around the clock to flood God’s people with soul-destroying, mind-altering influences!

THE GREATEST ERROR

But perhaps, the greatest error which consumes the spiritual power of the Church is the notion of a one-day-per-week worship!

Yes, this time-tested error has been allowed to corrupt God’s people throughout the centuries of the New Testament era.

The time when God’s people were the strongest, was when God’s people were…
…”continuing daily with one accord in the temple,
and breaking bread from house to house,
did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,”
Acts 2:46
.
Yes, here was a situation which caused the Church to become strong, meeting together daily (or nightly after the day’s labor).
But today, the Church has grown weak, because it only congregating once or twice per week.

Now if the Church instead would have combined this once-weekly congregation with a 24/7/365 communion with God, the Church could have remained strong.
.
But Satan has infiltrated the Church with false brethren, who have given a poor example of attending church once-a-week, but serving other gods through the weekdays!
Yes, Satan has filled this society with every conceivable invention of selfishness.
.
And many of these devices have the appearance of harmlessness, even goodness!
.
And as God’s true sheep look around at the poor example set by fellow church members, they begin to think that such worldly pursuits are, perhaps, OK!
.
And in this manner, Satan causes wrong judgment to proceed forth within the Church.

APOSTASY FORETOLD
.
Now the Bible foretells of the day when the apostasy comes to its fullness…
…”For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables.”
2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

From this above passage (and other similar passages) it is seen that the time will come (and now is), when it is no longer safe to attend even a weekly church service!
“Dear Lord, Help me to understand the parables of the Bible. Give me the “hidden manna”, which you promise to all those who overcome the world and the flesh…
In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
.
However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.
.
But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
.
Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.
.
The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).
.
And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).
.
So, we have this 7 and 10 numbering.
.
And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent.

Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

Well, listen to the Apostle, Peter, as he explains one very definite way in which we might be deceived…
.
Listen… “As also in all his (Paul’s) epistles,
speaking in them of these things;
in which are some things hard to be understood,
which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest,
as they do also the other scriptures,
unto their own destruction.”
2nd Peter 3:16
.
So from this above passage, it becomes apparent that there are things in Scripture which are difficult, and of such great importance, that those who are unlearned or unstable, may wrestle away the true meaning.
Now one of the most glaring examples of the misinterpretation of Scripture is clearly seen in the prosperity-driven gospels.

There are many Bible passages which speak of riches in similar terms as this…
…”Receive, I pray thee, the law from His mouth,
and lay up His words in thine heart…
Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust,
and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.”
Job 22:22-24
.
Of course, all one has to do is merely take this passage literally, and come to the conclusion that God wishes to lavish earthly riches upon His children!

But the problem is, that’s not how the Bible is properly interpreted!

THE CARNALLY-MINDED
.
No, listen to Paul as he explains the core of the problem here…
…”But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.”
1st Corinthians 2:13, 14
.
As this above verse reveals, there are many who are yet carnally-minded, and to a great extent, desire to believe that spiritual interpretations are foolishness.
The very Good News is, that this is still the day of Salvation, at the time of the writing of this devotional.

And if I perceive that my heart is not right, I can still cry out for deliverance from my bondage to sin!
.
listen to the words concerning Jesus…“And He (Jesus) spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” Luke 18:1

We must continue to pray without ceasing for the blessing of God until the day we find the answer to our prayers…“…for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

Just reading this above passage almost takes one’s breath away!
.
But Paul was attempting to not only shame those world-loving Corinthians; but he was also trying to open their eyes, to show them that they had not yet reached the true level of discipleship, which they needed to attain!
Well, there’s a saying in the Christian world which says… “If the Devil isn’t coming against you, then maybe you are both traveling in the same direction!”
.
Yes, for such a man-contrived saying, this one carries a lot of truth with it!
.
You see, Satan has no real contention with the citizens of this world.
.
They are his loyal subjects and he is their king!
.
And so, they will have a certain amount of bubbly and giddy happiness (although much or most of the world is, in reality, suffering to one degree or another!)
No, but when a person turns his or her back on this world, and starts to climb that gently ascending pilgrim’s pathway, then will Satan become aroused, and begins making life difficult for that Christian!
.
Fiery trials and fierce temptations will assail that Christian!
.
And more and more, that suffering child of God will begin to understand what Paul is talking about when he says… “I die daily!”
.
And so, God allows the Devil to carry on his warfare against that Christian, in part, as a means of driving the love of this world out of that Believer’s heart!
But God is not desiring us to live a meager and austere existence!
.
No, but God replaces our lost earthly joy with a new heavenly peace and joy, which surpasses all earthly understanding!
.
Listen… “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice…
Be careful (worried) for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:4-7
.
And so, even though the Believer loses interest in the many selfish pleasures and pursuits of this world, that same Believer begins to rejoice with his or her new-found love for prayer, Bible study, and contemplation of the Bible!
Yes, the Bible promises us a peace which surpasses all understanding! As Jesus puts it… “out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38
.
The living waters spoken of in this above verse, are the abundant pleasures of Heaven’s love! (see Psalm 36:8)
.
Now, the Corinthians were enjoying life, too!
.
But they didn’t know the joy described in these above passages!
.
Their joy was derived from the flesh, and from worldly pleasures!
The fact is, the more that God purifies the heart of a Believer, the less earthly joy we will experience; but the more heavenly joy, like a peaceful river, will come in to replace that old and undependable earthly joy!
.
The Apostle, Paul, said it this way…
“But God forbid that I should glory,
save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom the world is crucified unto me,
and I unto the world.”
Galatians 6:14
.
This is where we are going in our Christian walk: that we might say these same words with Paul!
.
But it is a journey that we will never regret!
.
Because we are going to a beautiful, joyful, everlasting place in which are, “pleasures for evermore”! Psalm 16:11
“Dear Lord, help my faith to grow. Help me to become like Paul, in my faith-walk. Let me grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus, so that I may meet life’s challenges with “the peace which surpasses all understanding”…
This “Altar” Constellation is only seen in winter through spring, in mid-sky. It is to the south of the “Fleeing Woman Constellation” (AKA Ursa Majoror The Big Dipper).
You would be facing east and looking very high up almost to mid-sky to see this constellation group this way.
.
The altar is farther south but still in the eastern sky.
.
This altar is commonly known as “Leo Major“, with the smoke rising being “Leo Minor“.
.
A little farther down this page is the sketch of this same constellation in the latter part of winter, when you look at them facing westward.
.
You will notice that what looked like Gospel seed being cast from her left hand and left foot (see “Woman of Revelation 12-The Fleeing Woman” article for explanation of casting “Gospel Seed”) now appears like smoke or incense rising from the altar.
.
It is not clear why the altar is sideways in back of the Woman.
.
It would make more sense if it were directly under the Woman.
.
However, the Lord must have some spiritual truth to convey concerning this odd positioning of the Altar.
.
The 7 Stars (Big Dipper) is easy to see with its very bright 7 stars.
.
But the Revelation 12 Woman (Ursa Major) must be seen on a dark starry night, away from city lights.

One day in Midtown Manhattan, an elderly gentleman was stopped by a very young man clutching his violin case, obviously in a hurry.

And trying to gather his breath, the young man anxiously asked, “Kind sir, can you please tell me how I might get to Carnegie Hall?”
.
The elderly gentleman paused, and thought for a moment, and then said with a wry grin, “Yes, my young fellow…Practice! Practice! Practice!”
.
Oh yes, that’s an old joke. But like so many things in this very unusual world, it carries with it a certain wisdom which can easily be translated into the spiritual realm.
Well, this world itself, is a type of Carnegie Hall.
.
Oh yes, it is!
.
This world is merely the grand stage in which any gifted virtuoso has the opportunity to perfect his or her talent, whatever that talent may be, for all the appreciative multitudes to behold and admire!
.
And there have been many hard-working persons over the years and centuries, who strove for greatness and finally achieved fame and honor, being lauded upon the world-stage before the vast multitudes of on-lookers, in this ‘Carnegie Hall World’!
From world-class athletes, to Hollywood actors and directors, to great politicians, to classic authors, to inquisitive scientists, to aspiring singers and musicians, toingenious inventors and clever engineers, and even more-than-a-few ambitious theologians and evangelists!
.
Yes, these and myriad others who ultimately achieved stardom in countless areas of endeavor, are considered the “winners-in life”, by those who control the “star-maker-machinery” of this ‘Carnegie Hall World’!
But who is the operator that drives all this self-seeking machinery?
.
Because it’s the height of simple-minded naivety to ever image that this world could ever be such a well-running mechanism by its own power!
.
Anybody knows that a well-oiled machine must have an operator.
.
So, there has to be some Grand Master Orchestra Director, directing this Carnegie Hall World?
.
Well, of course, it’s none other than the one who aspired to be the most beloved “star” in the courts above: that grand-master-maestro-musician in Heaven!
.
Yes, Lucifer became so adored and admired in the heavenly courts among a third of the angels, he actually began to covet the throne of God!
.
And so, God, in His great wisdom, decided to allow Lucifer to have his very own world, in which he would eventually be exposed for who and what he really is!
“…and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast”
Revelation 13:3, 4
.
And Lucifer (now in the office of “The Devil”) orchestrates this planet as his own world.
.
And being the very cunning deceiver that he is, he merely creates a self-seeking world, with all its selfish wares and proud ambitious ways!
.
And these wares and ways are merely tokens of Lucifer’s sinful attributes, gilding them with the fool’s gold of false-goodness and outward-morality.
.
And then he directs his unseen evil-angels to work in the hearts of Mankind, causing them to imitate Lucifer, their god!
.
And so, by doing the same things as Lucifer did, yet in our own little realm and sphere, we unknowingly pour our costly ointment of praise and honor upon Satan, “the god of this world!”
And so, O faithful Christian, hopefully you and I have both decided to cease from striving to gain fame, honor, and fortune, in our own little sphere.
.
Hopefully we have already shunned this Carnegie Hall World, and are now seeking only for glory and honor in the heavenly courts, as we conform our hearts and lives into the humble image of Jesus.

A HIGHWAY OF HOLINESS
.
And God has placed before us a pilgrim’s pathway which leads out of this world, and onward and upward into the Celestial City of God!
.
We can choose which world we want: this dying world, or the next everlasting world.
.
But we cannot choose both!
.
(Oh yes, Lucifer even has his own false, look-alike gospels which offer both worlds! But those gospels only lead downward to destruction of the soul.)
.
So, if you are tired of striving for the proud and selfish attributes that this world is all about, then please come along on the pathway for weary pilgrims, such as you and I.
.
We have nothing to loose but our shackles of sin and death!
“Dear Lord, I’m tired of playing this foolish game. Get me off this crazy merry-go-round world, and on to the upward pathway that leads to Heavenly Paradise which awaits all who desire to find it with all their heart…
That world-shaking allegory, Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan, picked up the theme of the Narrow Gate.

The hero of the story was Christian, a man who was warned to flee from the City of Destruction (the world), and to embark on a journey to the Heavenly City.
.
And along the way, Christian encountered many adventures and dangers.
.
This first of its kind allegorical book absolutely rocked the western world, and became perhaps the first million seller book (along with the Bible).
.
But God has also given this same Narrow Way parable in the night heavens!
.
Incredible? Yes, incredible…and amazing too!
.
And though these two stars can hardly be considered a constellation, but when sitting next to the two stars which comprise the Broad Gate, well, it makes a powerful statement, for the people of God.
.
So please come along on this journey and find out just why this pathway graces the night heavens, and perhaps you might find yourself embarking on your own pilgrimage up that very same Narrow pathway.

There is a present-day phenomenon, known as “tongues”, which claims to be the biblical gift spoken of in the New Testament, but is nothing more than vain babbling.

There is an unseen power behind this phenomenon!

Listen… “And then shall that Wicked be revealed…
whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders,”
2nd Thessalonians 2:8, 9

As this above passage reveals, Satan will be allowed to counterfeit the Holy Spirit in these last days, with, “all power and signs and lying wonders”!

And this phenomenon known as “tongues” looks like the real thing.
But there are other signs which reveal that we have been drinking of that cup of wine of the great Mystery Harlot, Babylon!

Yes, the church appears like a drunkard, whenever engaging in such phenomena as, “Falling Backwards”(Slain in the Spirit),“Drunk in the Spirit”, “Laughing in the Spirit”, and of course, “Babbling” (aka, “Tongues”).

And together with all the joking and laughter that goes on in the pulpits and pews these days, such signs are what typical drunkards do.

Oh yes, and don’t forget the sensual music that is now being offered up in most congregations!

These are a signal and tip-off that spiritual drunkenness has overcome the church-world.

But God is allowing the Devil to perform these signs.

Oh yes, Satan is orchestrating these signs to deceive.

But God is allowing it as a type of wake-up call, to make us realize that we have been drinking of the wine of Babylon.

Well, if you did, you probably also remember waking up the next morning, cringing at the memory of how you made such a complete and utter fool of yourself, that previous night!

Well, the Bible speaks of drunkenness.

Listen to Solomon’s description of a drunkard…

…They that tarry long at the wine;

This is only half of Solomon’s description. But you get the point!

Drunkenness is not a good thing, especially when considering how addictive it is!
But God calls upon Believers to, “Come out of her, My people!”

And once the repentant Believer does come out of her, we will sober up spiritually, and realize, like Solomon, that we too have behaved like fools.

Yes, like fools we have, “lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; we have nourished our hearts, as in a day of slaughter.” James 5:5

Now about that time, a very curious event happened, which most people are not aware of.
.
You see, some months prior to 911, one world-wide Christian radio network began to announce that, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen”was concerning the fallen apostate condition of the churches around the world.
.
And this very large radio network, which was broadcast in dozens of languages around the world, announced that it was time to, “Come out of her, My people!”
.
And so, when this, “Come out of her, My people”announcement was broadcast, several months prior to 911, it had that much more of an effect upon those people who had been listening to that radio station.
And if it truly is the time to, “Come out of her, My people”, then there should be some real glaring evidences that the local congregations have become void of the Holy Spirit.

Correct?

God should be giving us a definite sign that the churches are no longer being used by God.

“EARTHLY, SENSUAL, AND DEVILISH”
James 3:15

Well, this little devotional will not attempt to give all the evidences that the churches are fallen.
.
But have you noticed that the way that today’s “worship” music is performed, has a real earthy and sensual sound to it?
.
And the singers will quite often strain their voices to give a kind of, “bedroom effect” to their vocals?
.
Well, this is no accident!
.
They are merely imitating today’s music of the world!
.
One radio commentator put it like this: “Today’s churches are just downstream from the world, and what happens in the world will soon wind up in the churches.”
“Well, so what’s wrong with a little worldliness in our worship!?!”, comes back the resounding objection to us: we the critics, from those who wish to defend the current pop culture within today’s churches.
.
Well, look at it this way.
.
Most every fisherman knows that one lure works well for one kind of fish.
.
But for another kind of fish, he must use another kind of lure.
Now the same principle applies to the way that women dress.
.
They have done studies which prove that the same woman, wearing alluring clothing, make-up, etc., will attract far more “wolves”, than when she wore very modest clothing.
.
But whether she likes it or not, she is also causing the wolves in the room to lust after her!
But the great news is, that even though we must flee from these congregations, we have the assurance that there will be, “rivers and streams of (living) waters”, on those spiritual hills and mountains! (See Isaiah 30:25)
.
In other words, we must not be afraid to vacate the churches!
.
For God will supply abundant rivers of living waters, even in our very own living room, or wherever else we may have to be in the next few years!
.
As a matter of fact, as Jesus puts it… “He that believes on Me (Jesus), as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38
.
Yes, my dear darling soul, be still and know that God will cause each genuine Christian to become the fountain-head of living waters, gushing out from us, far beyond what any of us can now comprehend!

While perhaps, 50% of the world may be having a good time, it must be remembered that the rest are suffering in one way or another!
.
So, when Jesus came down to this world, He was ever mindful of the needs of those around Him.
.
Of course, it is NOT the sick, dying and suffering who caused Jesus so much grief.
.
Oh yes, Jesus greatly grieves, even weeps daily for those who are suffering!
.
But even more than those, it is the ones who are having a good time in the world, and hate Him for His condemnation of their beloved world, that makes Jesus so sad!
The Christian must be ever reminding himself, just who is “the god of this world”. 2nd Corinthians 4:4.
.
We live in a world of selfish pleasures.
.
And for the perishing world, there is nothing wrong with enjoying this world.
.
After all, they say to themselves… “if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.” 1st Corinthians 15:32
.
But for those of us who have been called out, we must keep fulfilling our great commission to purify our hearts, and conform our lives into Christ’s likeness!
.
Listen, as John exhorts us to turn our backs on this selfish world…
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life,
is not of the Father,
but is of the world.”
1st John 2:15, 16
.
So here is the revelation, that all those who love this present world have not the love of God in their hearts!
Now, there are many Christians who are going through intense trials, either from physical ailments, or from the Devil, as he strives to make them as miserable as he possibly can!
.
Listen to Paul, as he describes this…
“(Paul) confirming the souls of the disciples,
and exhorting them to continue in the faith,
and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
“(Christians) should no longer live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them…”
2nd Corinthians 5:15
.
The Apostle, Paul, while attempting to make sense to the Corinthian Church, to abandon their pleasure-seeking lives, tried to present to them the proper balance in the Christian life.
.
This next passage is a condensed description of that proper tension…
“ …As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich;
as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.”
2nd Corinthians 6:10, 11
.
So in this above passage, Paul was describing the curious dichotomy in the Christian’s life.
.
It is a heavenly joy which flows from within, even amidst the trials and sorrows of this life!
You would be facing east and looking very high up almost to mid-sky to see this constellation group this way.
.
The altar is farther south but still in the eastern sky.
.
This altar is commonly known as “Leo Major“, with the smoke rising being “Leo Minor“.
.
A little farther down this page is the sketch of this same constellation in the latter part of winter, when you look at them facing westward.
.
You will notice that what looked like Gospel seed being cast from her left hand and left foot (see “Woman of Revelation 12-The Fleeing Woman” article for explanation of casting “Gospel Seed”) now appears like smoke or incense rising from the altar.
.
It is not clear why the altar is sideways in back of the Woman.
.
It would make more sense if it were directly under the Woman.
.
However, the Lord must have some spiritual truth to convey concerning this odd positioning of the Altar.
.
The 7 Stars (Big Dipper) is easy to see with its very bright 7 stars.
.
But the Revelation 12 Woman (Ursa Major) must be seen on a dark starry night, away from city lights.
“(God) Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament;
not of the letter,
but of the spirit:
for the letter killeth,
but the spirit giveth life.”

Have you had your minimum daily requirements today?
.
Do you even know what they are?
.
Well, don’t feel bad! Most of us don’t know them either!
.
The fact is, the medical community has determined just what are the M.D.R. (Minimum Daily Requirements) and this has all been done as a result of the invention of vitamin pills!
.
Yes, the vitamin pill industry has developed all the pills necessary for our good health, as long as we take our Minimum Daily Requirements.
But when Jesus came to this world, He sat them down and lovingly taught them the deeper meaning to those laws.
.
For example, Jesus revealed that…
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this,
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
There is none other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:31
.
And so, when the people heard these “whole-istic” concepts, they eventually began to despise Jesus.
.
They merely wanted that little “laundry-list” of rules!
.
That way, they thought by merely doing their Minimum Daily Requirements of rule-keeping, that would allow them to continue to pursue the selfish cares and pleasures of the world…
.
…just like the person who imagines, that by simply taking a pill, this will allow him or her to continue on with their same old unhealthy lifestyle.
And so, even in our day, many church-attendees try to formulate a little laundry-list of rules:
…to attend church each week…
…to partake of communion…
…to do a 15-minute Bible study each morning…
…to stay away from tobacco, cussing, “bad” movies, and various other religious/moralistic duties.
.
We are just like that Rich Young Ruler!
.
We merely desire to do our Minimum Daily Requirements.
.
That way, we can continue to pursue the pleasures, the pastimes, and the proud aspirations and attainments of this selfish world!
.
.

.
SALVATION: A GIFT OF GRACE!
.
Now just what is the remedy for all this?
.
Well, the remedy is the grace of God!
.
In other words, true Salvation is the gift of God.
.
And yet, God commands that we plead for Salvation…
…”Ye adulterers and adulteresses,
know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?
whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God…
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:
let your laughter be turned to mourning,
and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,
and He shall lift you up.”
James 4:4, 9, 10

Yes, there needs to be a thorough repentance from our world-loving ways: because, loving the things of this selfish world is an abomination to God, as the above passage reveals!

THE TORTOISE

But let’s stop for a moment, and take a glance at a certain remarkable character from the animal kingdom: the Tortoise!
.
Yes, the Tortoise is just another amazing creation of God.
.
It is a delight for children and adults alike, to behold this benign creature with its strong armor!
.
But beyond the sheer delight which this little armor-bearer brings to all who encounter it, the tortoise can teach a number of lessons about both good and evil!
.
Yes, we can look at this shell from at least two vantage-points.
.
It might speak of the armor of God, and the faith we must have in God!
.
But this shell might also remind us of how we humans can so easily build up a shell of resistance around us!
.
And this wall of resistance is what today’s devotional is all about…
.

STIFF-NECKED & UNCIRCUMCISED!
.
And one false idea that this False-Prophet-Antichrist-Spirit has ingrained into our thinking, is that we’re, “pretty smart people after all!”
.
And so, as a result, most of us have been thoroughly trained to trust in our own knowledge and wisdom, to a great extent.
.
This is perhaps the biggest reason why it’s so hard to convince us of our great need of a Savior!
And isn’t it true that most of us have such a narrow mind, that we pretty much refuse to hear anything which challenges our own current understanding.
.
We know what we know!
.
We trust our own church or denomination!
.
We place our confidence in our very own favorite Bible teachers!
.
And the chances of anyone else coming to us with a seemingly new Bible concept, and breaking through this little shell of trust which we have built up, is not very likely!
We must forget our foolish understanding and turn to God’s Word, as little children!
.
Jesus taught this same concept… “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” Mark 10:15
.
And God has allowed a little time, for us to repent and turn back to Him!
But the very Good News is that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the true Church (God’s Elect dispersed throughout the world!)
.
No, God has determined that we are to finally come out of Babylon!
.
Listen…“‘Come out of her (Babylon), My people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.'”
Revelation 18:2, 4

So, here is the call to God’s people, to come out of Babylon.
.
And by God’s great mercy & grace, we are assured the victory, if we “faint not”!

And today’s main point is to highlight and emphasize John 6, in which Jesus speaks four times of His Return on “the last day”!
Now listen to the last verse from John 6 concerning the Last Day…
“Whoso eateth My flesh,
and drinketh My blood,
hath eternal life;
and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY.”
John 6:54

This chapter makes a clear-cut case for the Resurrection happening on the Last Day, and not 7 years prior, as Pre-Tribulation Rapture advocates insist!

And REALLY, if Christ was going to raise all sleeping saints prior to the Great Tribulation, don’t you think He would have mentioned it, or made it abundantly clear?
Statistics by the most notable pollsters show that drunkenness, pornography, divorce/re-marriage, Bible-illiteracy, materialism, TV watching, etc., are at an alarming all-time high in today’s Christendom!

And so obviously, the Christian community is not being watchful, as the Bible warns us to be…
“Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved,

But today, there was a very emotional gospel, in which this particular evangelist was almost on the verge of tears during his entire presentation.

Well, that’s not exactly true!
.
Actually, his presentation was a sort of emotional roller-coaster ride, with moments of near tears, soon followed by bringing the crowd into laughter.
.
And then he would return again to the tearful emotionalism.
.
Finally, at the last, some very soft praise music played as this energetic evangelist prayed a very emotional and sorrowful prayer with pleas for spiritual blessings.
No, as a matter of fact, that infamous evangelist, Charles Finney, was a master at emotional preaching, all the way back in the early 1800’s.
.
Yes, Charles Finney could stir up his audience to the point that the altar-calls would bring large numbers of confessing sinners falling to their knees in tearful contrition and remorseful repentance!
.
His calculated emotionalism was carefully designed to bring the crowds to their knees each night that he was in any certain town.
Well, by observers who followed in Finney’s wake from town to town, it was discovered that his so-called converts fell away soon after he left each town!
.
That’s right, his high-energy, emotional preaching could whip up the multitudes into a frenzied repentance.
.
But it wasn’t a true repentance! Just a moment of high emotions, followed by a return to sin and selfishness in the weeks and months following!
.
And the places which Finney most heavily evangelized, were nicknamed, “blackened earth territories”, because his false converts eventually became so hardened against the Gospel, that they were beyond being reached for Christ, ever again!
.
And a large portion of that community likewise became hardened against the Gospel!
And so, it’s probably a somewhat similar situation today, with so many young people in the audiences of today’s highly emotional evangelists on TV, radio, and YouTube.
.
That’s right! Most of us would like to have, well, a partial relationship with Jesus!
.
Yes, we’d love to have a “mountain-top experience” of “emotional highs” with Jesus.
.
But to totally renounce this selfish world, and let Jesus remove all my self-seeking ways?
Now in contrast to this, when Jesus called His disciples, Peter, Andrew and John, He plainly told them… “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33.
.
Here above, is one of those “hard sayings” from the Bible that usually gets rough treatment from just about everyone in church these days!
.
Yes, this above saying from Luke 14:33 always gets neutralized by just about every Bible teacher, until it has little punch left in it!
.
Nevertheless, Jesus requires “all” from His disciples. He accepts no divided heart.
Jesus knew how fickle those artificial emotions can be, and wanted nothing to do with any superficial responses to the Gospel!
.
Jesus remembered the words of the wise-man…
“The words of wise men are heard in quiet,
more than the cry (shout) of him that ruleth among fools.”
Ecclesiastes 9:17
.
As this above verse warns, all the shouts that the apostate church-world can cry, cannot compare to the quiet wisdom which Jesus walked in, and taught with, during His short earthly ministry.
And so, the call still goes out to all those who wish to imitate Jesus, to put away all un-Christlike behavior, and simply imitate our divine Role-Model, Jesus, in all we think, do, and say!

And let’s discard all the artificial methods of evangelism, and merely proclaim the Word of Christ faithfully and unpretentiously!

And by so-doing, just maybe God will begin to truly bless our efforts to reach hearts for Christ!

People don’t take us seriously when we tell them how wonderful our communion with Heaven is!
.
After all, we’re seeking the same enjoyments that they seek, for the most part!

So just how can I escape this life of defeat?
.
How can I show the world that Heaven is for real?
.
How can they be convinced that I have died to selfishness, and Jesus now lives His loving life through me?

BULWARK OF SPIRITUAL LIFE

Yes, how can I escape this life of defeat, and show the world that Heaven is for real?
.
The very first thing I can do, is to beg and plead with God, to help me to construct a bulwark around my day!
.
And just what does that mean?
.
Well, just like Daniel, I need to establish a thrice-daily prayer-time…
…”Daniel…kneeled upon his knees three times a day,
and prayed, and gave thanks before his God”
Daniel 6:10.
.
Now Daniel was one of the few Bible heroes who never had any sins or weaknesses mentioned.
.
And here is revealed one great secret behind Daniel’s strength!
And the point of today’s devotional is to encourage us all, that we need to plead with God, that He will graciously help us to create a bit of Heaven-on-earth, in our own personal life.
.
And by the power of the Holy Spirit, I can begin to enjoy this heavenly lifestyle even more than my previous mundane existence.
.
And if my children decide to leave off watching TV and enter my world, then we can all listen to some Bible story from the Internet, or sing simple Christian songs, such as, “Dare To Be A Daniel”, or something similar.

Or if my children are older, we might try to engage in a meaningful discussion about world affairs, in the light of Salvation.
But even if my family doesn’t come along with me on my heavenward journey, I have many precious promises in Scripture!

Listen…“Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD;
that walketh in his ways…
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house:
thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.”

And it is such promises as this, which the Christian clings to every day, as he or she climbs that gently ascending pathway to the celestial City of God!

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?”

Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE

Now, speaking of hypnotism, one of the most amazing creatures ever created is the Cuttlefish!

But there is another amazing aspect to this little impostor.

When it sees that it is close to a kill, it turns its body into a fluorescent strobe-light, paralyzing its victim, just prior to snatching the little creature in its powerful jaws!

Well, God has created this little predator to give us further insight into the inner-workings of the kingdom of Satan.
But just like those dead people in their graves, so too, the Bible tells us…
“And you hath HE quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

Here is seen a huge concept: that we all were all spiritually dead in trespasses and sins, prior to our salvation.

And we all were unable to hear the Gospel you were trying to convey to us!

We couldn’t hear you, because we were under the hypnotic powers of, “the Prince of the Power of the Air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.”
THE GLITTERING, HYPNOTIZING TREASURES OF THIS WORLD

And like a giant Cuttlefish, Satan has hypnotized us with the glittering tinsel-like treasures and earthly pleasures of this very deceptively alluring world!

And to a great extent, God’s people have bought into this lie of the False Prophet, Satan, who brings us a false gospel with the Church in one hand, but the world in the other!
So, just what can we do about this sad and frightful situation within the church-community?

And the only thing you and I can do, is to immediately pray for grace and strength to turn away from all this hypnotism, which is just now flooding society and the churches, via this high-tech world.

The Bible warns us… “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
.
Not only are we to lift up our heads to look for Jesus, but we must take our eyes off this mesmerizing world, with all its current-day mind-control, which the great False Prophet (Satan) has designed to hypnotize us and our children!

Well, fortunately, the Bible is a very faithful Book.

And of itself, the Bible says…

for instruction in righteousness:”
2nd Timothy 3:16

And so, as this above verse reveals, “all scripture is profitable for reproof, for correction”.

Thus, this verse from Jeremiah, regarding “Old Paths” as advocating us to return to Old Testament obedience, can be either confirmed or corrected, by merely searching similar passages in Scripture.
And here is a miraculous journey, which the Lord calls us to embark upon!
.
Yes, miraculously, Jesus will lead us today, just like He led His disciples, Peter, and Andrew, and John, and Philip, and all the others, 2,000 years ago!
.
And so, may we all return to the “old paths”, spoken of by Jeremiah.
.
And may we cease from the Babylonish confusion which reigns today, and simply press on, in our Heavenward sojourn, as we follow the Lamb to the top of heavenly Mount Sion!
And Arcturus is that brilliant star (3rd brightest in our heavens) which leads these Gospel constellations…
…leading these Summer, Fall, and Winter Gospel Constellations, to present a picture story, a heavenly allegory of sorts.

These constellations, which together, tell of the incredible love of God.
.
And Arcturus, our Host Star, will lead to an understanding of God’s Word, which will, in turn, guide God’s people up a narrow pathway; onward and upward through Heaven’s Gate itself, and ultimately into the very heavenly City of God!

Oh, don’t doubt for a moment that God cannot or will not do this!

A TIME TO WEEP
.
While unbelievers are free to joke and jest and enjoy their comedies, the Christian has been given a special commission to warn the world to, “flee from the wrath to come!”
.
This world, to a great extent, is a tragic place of greed, hatred, war, misery and death; but also, a place of great indifference toward the sufferings going on elsewhere, around the world!
.
And just as Lot’s sons-in-law thought he was merely joking about the wrath to come upon Sodom, so too, we are in danger of compromising our solemn message to the world by all our giddiness and frivolity and pleasure-seeking!
As a matter of fact, if analyzed, jesting can be a great source of pride, as the jester makes his audience laugh, and thinking to himself, “I’m so clever!”
.
But what he doesn’t realize is, that the source of his inspiration is actually, “The Prince of the Power of the Air, that spirit which now works in the children of disobedience”! Ephesians 2:2
.
Yes, the same spirit that whispered malicious gossip into Eve’s ear, is that very same unseen spirit, whose voice whispers clever quips into the mocker’s ears!
The Enemy-of-souls has multiple reasons for thrusting these “pleasures of this life” upon mankind. Luke 8:14
.
And so, many types of worldly humor only indicates a presence of “another spirit!” 2nd Corinthians 11:4
We need to seriously warn the world of its soon-coming destruction, and the eternal grave awaiting all rejecters of God’s grace!
.
And yet, we need to walk a fine line between falling into one extreme or the other!
.
“Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.” Psalm 100:2
.
This above passage lets us know that we can be joyful and content, without joining in with the pagan mirth and hedonistic revelry which the world engages in.
Dedicated Christians love to sing joyful songs that praise the Lord!
.
And yet, if we are truly filled with God’s Spirit, our daily behavior will be coupled together with fear and trembling, combined with sympathy, love, and rejoicing!
.
And such a delicate balance requires the indwelling of the Spirit of Holiness!
And yes, to quit any bad habit, requires a struggle.
.
And those who are addicted to this fleshly pleasure may have to prayerfully resist the urge to jest, for weeks, even months, before getting the final victory over this bad habit.
.
And whatever loss Christians might feel from laying one of their cherished worldly idols on the altar of self-sacrifice, they have faith that God will replace that discarded idol with something far more precious and wonderful!
And Christians who have a family should not try to force the family to come along with these things.
.
Oh yes, those who have a spouse who agrees in these matters, the family can gently be brought along the upward pathway.
.
But the Christian cannot expect an unsaved spouse and children to give up many of these fleshly pleasures of the mind.
.
In such cases, the Christian pilgrim will probably have to keep silent, and merely try to keep the family together, praying for God’s Salvation for the family.
And so, let’s not be ignorant of Satan’s many devices!
.
And we will ultimately overcome the intimidation which Satan cruelly imposes upon God’s people.
And great persecution is guaranteed to come down upon us, concerning these matters, as we walk through the fires of tribulation which the coming Time of Trouble will bring upon us!
.
And, Christians can expect to be the butt of jokes, as the battle begins to heat up in the coming days!
.
But when we are fully cleansed, we will finally be able to say, along with old Job… “…when HE hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10
For those who suffer the scorn and ridicule from this mocking world, there is a promise of joy to come…
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
bringing his sheaves with him.”
Psalm 126:5, 6

Yes, one day soon, when we finally cross that dark river, we will hear the distant sounds of the innocent laughter of little children, and the joyful songs of the Redeemed, as we enter into that Everlasting Promised Land…

For instance, one particular movie portrayed the secular hero of the story as a handsome, intelligent, worldly-minded, “voice of reason”, individual!

And this, “worldly wise-man”hero found himself in a monastery filled with weird, monkish characters who were fanatical, pathetic, grotesque-looking, and just plain down-right evil!
.
This typical Hollywood hit-piece movie was set in the backdrop of the Dark Ages, when Europe was controlled by the evil apostate churches.
.
And so, the producer of this movie did not need to exaggerate too much, in his portrayal of this reclusive set of monks!
Christianity was truly in an apostate condition, back in those times!
But what we must keep in mind is, that back in those days, Satan could not take advantage of modern-day technology!
.
And so he had to prejudice the people of Europe by literally raising up that hideous religious system!
.
And in this manner, he prejudiced the mostly naive and un-schooled masses of Europe against Christianity, simply by creating that, “Straw-Man” deception: the apostate Christianity of those by-gone days!
.
That was Satan’s straw-man, designed to cast dirt on the truth.
.
In other words, for the most part, the corrupt and wicked church of those days, was all that the commoners ever knew about Christianity.
But today, Satan has already completed most of his homework, so to speak.
.
Yes, Satan has long ago engaged in centuries of smear-tactics against true Christianity by this counterfeit religious power of Europe!
.
And so today, all he needs to do is to make a movie about those evil times, resurrecting that old Straw-Man of the Middle Ages: the apostate religious system of those earlier centuries.
But Satan is not content to merely re-create this exaggerated and grotesque Straw-Man.
And so, to strengthen his case against the Bible, he has gone far beyond, “foolish talk and jesting”, and made it seem as if even mere, “laughing” is condemned by sincere Christians!

But this is a lie straight from Hell! The Bible says… “there is…A time to weep, and a time to laugh;” Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4

Yes, there is a time for laughing in this otherwise sad world.
For instance, when the exciting announcement that a new baby is on the way, there is laughing and rejoicing by both family and friends!

THEN WAS OUR MOUTH FILLED WITH LAUGHTER,
AND OUR TONGUE WITH SINGING:

Yes, on the soon-coming day of our final deliverance from this selfish and dying world, our mouths will be filled with laughter and singing!

The stars in this star-chart are accurately placed, and this Cross/Scepter Constellation stands out in brilliance, among the other stars in the night sky.

The sketch below is the Summer Constellations, as seen when looking west.
Well, if you look just to the south (south is to the left in this sketch) of Arcturus, you will see what appears to be a scepter.
But this scepter also appears as a Cross.
And this constellation has been named, the Cross/Scepter constellation.
It can be seen in January, in the pre-dawn hours. Each night, it appears a little earlier, as it slowly inches its way westward.
Finally, this constellation dips below the western horizon, in the fall, not appearing again till January, back in the eastern sky.

Now, as earlier stated, this wonderful prophecy (“there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel”) has its greatest fulfillment in the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Jesus is represented by that glorious Star.
And His death on the Cross is truly His scepter of authority.

Now if we were the persecuted Church of the Dark Ages, one might be able to make a case for signs and wonders being bestowed upon God’s persecuted and martyred people.

But sadly, today’s Church is steeped in materialism and pleasure-seeking.
And why are they finding such dismal statistics concerning the Church?
Simply because we are just too busy in the world.
.
We have been duped by the Devil into believing his prosperity-driven gospels, preached from the pulpits in many congregations, both liberal and conservative!
.
And we have been flooded with high-tech devices and television and radio and all the other time-consuming, Holy-Spirit-grieving distractions.
.
And statistics reveal that most Christian children attend a public school!
Yes, Satan has successfully separated the various congregations from God, by our Lukewarm spiritual condition.
.
And after many decades of this condition, the Holy Spirit has finally been taken out of the midst.
.
Listen… “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:
only he who now lets, will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth,
and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders,”
2nd Thessalonians 2:7-9
.
So here in this above passage is described the condition of the church-world just prior to Christ’s Return.

The Holy Spirit having been removed, and Satan replaces Him with a counterfeit “signs & wonders gospel”, which is exactly what we see in today’s church-world.
Now these “lying signs and wonders” can come in the form of tongues, voices, visions, dreams, “falling backwards”(“slain in the spirit”), and any and every other counterfeit manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit!

And thus, by making Christians think that God is working miracles marvelously through them, the Enemy of Souls deceives countless Christians!

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON
.
In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.
But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.
The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).
And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).
So we have this 7 and 10 numbering.
And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent.
Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).
