But that wasn’t all! For just a little while later, he made a very controversial statement, knowing that it would spark a heated debate between the two factions, Pharisees and Sadducees.
But it is evident that Paul had finally learned his lesson.

Because, later, when standing before King Agrippa and Governor Festus, in Acts, Ch. 26.
.
You see, right in the middle of Paul’s defense of himself, Festus cried out, probably in a mocking manner… “Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad!” Acts 26:24
.
Now at this point, Paul could have easily responded in anger at Festus’ insult.
.
But he didn’t! Instead, Paul said very gracious words in return to Festus.
.
And as a result of Paul’s soft and respectful answer, the king Agrippa, who was listening to this exchange, said to Paul… “Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian!” Acts 26:28.
.
You see, if Paul had lost his temper, the king would never have been persuaded (almost). But Paul had passed his test!
.
And God had now prepared Paul for his ultimate evangelistic encounter…Caesar, the Emperor of Rome, whom he was going to testify before, in the near future.
And this little account of Paul’s spiritual growth is a wonderful lesson for us today!
.
In a day when it is so easy to judge or speak critical words, we must remember that we have been chosen to be “ambassadors for Christ”, (2nd Corinthians 5:20.)
.
And as such, we have a solemn duty to treat each and every person, be it spouse, or children, or neighbors, or strangers, or even politicians with the utmost tender respect, as possible candidates for Heaven.
.
But more than this, we need to see all of humanity through the loving eyes of Jesus.
.
Yes, even our enemies! God created them, and until we walk in their shoes, and realize the unseen spiritual forces coming against them, we need to keep from judging them.
It is amazing what a little love and a little respect can do, to patch up a broken relationship.
.
And to give a gift in secret to one who has been offended will go a long way in mending a wounded soul!
.
Remember our key Bible passage…
…”Love your enemies,
do good to them which hate you,
Bless them that curse you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you.”
Yes, here is the formula for winning souls to Christ.

So, should a cashier speak rudely to me, I must try Paul’s tactics, and speak lovingly and respectfully back, remembering that I too have failed in treating others kindly!
“Dear Lord, Give me that spirit of love, for each member of the human family. Give me that deep respect for every precious soul whom you have died for, whether in my home or neighborhood, or around the world…

LOCATING ARCTURUS…

An easy way to find Arcturus is to follow the arc of the handle of the Big Dipper, in the spring through fall (these are the months in which Arcturus is visible).

Summer Constellations span the heavens (Ark in south, 7 Stars in north), and travel from east to west through the night.

The very nature of jesting requires a quick, clever response, giving the jester very little time to consider what he or she is saying!

Or by making a rapid response, the jester might say something which is offensive.
What most of us are not aware of, is, that just like a gossiper, Satan also whispers into the ear of the jester, giving them something to say.

A gossiper is seldom lacking in gossip to say about somebody else.

And likewise, the jester is seldom lacking a joke or a jest or a quip.
.
But if only the spiritual curtains could be pulled back, evil angels would be seen, orchestrated some morsel of gossip, or some little joke or jest!

This constellation was identified on May 22nd, 2014. It is simply five stars, two from the Serpens Constellation, and three from the Hercules Constellation.

What gives this constellation impetus and significance is that it appears as five evenly positioned stars, in a slight oval pattern, as if they were sitting in a meeting, listening, or perhaps watching someone.
.
Second, they appear to be gathered in front of The Crown of Revelation 12 Constellation. (just below Corona Borealis in this Wikipedia star-chart, in which the editor of this site sketched in these two constellations)
Have you heard about such neo-pagan celebrations as, “The Burning Man Festival”?
.
For about a week, thousands congregate together in the desert of Nevada to hold a very energetic convocation dedicated to, well, uh, dedicated to reviving paganism and nihilism.
Oh yes, a microcosmic communal mini-society is constructed out there, governed by supposed anarchy, but made possible by the voluntary self-imposed civility of the attendees
(if they continued longer than a week, their well-behaved and orderly conduct would probably begin to devolve into a total lawless mess!).

But on the last day of this great fest, a giant statue of a man is set on fire, symbolizing the pagan human sacrifices once performed by the more primitive cultures of centuries past.
It almost makes us wonder if this current-day phenomenon of devolution was why there were primitive cultures which once roamed the earth (and still are).

After all, God originally created mankind to be noble and very mentally and morally elevated.

And yet, history records that many cultures have been very primitive, tribal, and warlike.

MANY SPOKES IN THAT WHEEL

So, what happened?

If mankind was created by God to be so intelligent, noble, and morally upright, why did some groups or individuals seemingly devolve?
.
Well, just look at this current neo-pagan movement now occurring in our society.

But The Burning Man Festival is just one spoke in the giant multi-spoke wheel of this modern-day devolutionary movement.
For example, one major university has just announced that it is eliminating such classes as history, philosophy, and other courses dealing with higher thought.
.
And there is even now a giant push, by socialists to actually rewrite history altogether!
.
Still other universities no longer tolerate freedom of speech.
.
Some high-school districts are wanting to eliminate higher math courses!
.
But this is just another spoke in that wheel of devolution.
Another element in this paganistic downward spiral is the “music” industry.

The great Renaissance (reawakening) movement in centuries-past brought higher learning and elevated music into society.
.
But this has now been largely replaced by very crude and repetitious music and warlike chants, featuring lyrics dealing mostly with the baser human functions, body orifices, as well as drug-use and wanton whoredom.
The great literary works of yesteryear have greatly been replaced by TV dramas which often capitalize on pride, murder, revenge, lust, greed, hate, and other animal-like behaviors.

And Internet is even worse, pushing the lowest, crudest, lewdest, and vilest and hateful videos, etc., steering young people away from anything elevating and ennobling!

RULE OF LAW DEAD?

And lawmakers, and governments are now beginning to ignore the rule of law, replacing it with mob rule.

Even today’s social media has become the breeding ground for angry mobs!
Crude and dead religions are moving in and taking over the great societies…

…societies which, once, lovingly and enthusiastically embraced the Christian Reformation which promoted higher thought and a living relationship with Jesus.
.
Candle-lighting, chants, rituals, etc., have replaced the higher thought necessary for inspired Bible study and communion via the Holy Spirit.

And even violent retaliation against rejecters of those false religions has replaced simple faith and belief.
Is there any redeemable aspect to all this cultural destruction?
.
Well, those who have some love for truth still in them, will stop, look around, and consider just how far mankind has devolved from things good, and wholesome, and upright, and noble.

And perhaps, many will return to the Lord in hopes of finding deliverance from this increasingly dangerous societal decay.

And having that Salvation, they can begin to elevate their own thoughts with the higher thought and wisdom to be found only in God’s Word, the Bible!

7-STARS & 7-BOWLS OF WRATH
.
“And I saw another sign in heaven,
great and marvellous,
seven angels having the seven last plagues;
for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”
Revelation 15:1,

This above verse from Revelation is a direct reference to the Signs In Heaven, which God is just now graciously revealing.
.
Notice that this above verse says…“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous“.
.
If ever there was a great and marvelous sign in Heaven, this 7 Star Constellation seems to be just that!
.
And it is the easiest of all constellations to locate (excepting for those in the southernmost latitudes of the Earth who cannot see it).
.
It seems to stand alone in the northern sky, outshining any other constellation in the night heavens!
.
As for its significance, it is easy to see the message for which it was created to bring.
.
It looks like a bowl. A giant bowl!
.
And in the winter, it begins to slowly tip through the night, as if it is finally spilling out its contents upon the earth, as stated in Revelation…“And the first (angel) went, and poured out his vial upon the earth”Revelation 16:2.
.
And so, it is not hard to see the message which this constellation presents.
.
In the summer it begins to slowly tip.
.
But in winter it does fully appear to pour out its contents upon the Earth.
But beyond his friend’s correct response, the advice should also be given to encourage that grieving spouse to spend copious amounts of time, reading the scriptures.
.
Because, not only will we find plenty of comforting words, but also, we will find many encouraging passages, designed to strengthen our faith-walk with Jesus.
.
For example, listen to the 23rd Psalm of David…“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want (lack nothing).” Verse 1
.
Right here in the very 1st verse is a great encouragement for grieving spouses!
.
It reveals that having a loving relationship with our compassionate Lord is all we really need for a social life!
.
And any social life beyond that relationship is just an extra piece of pie, so to speak!
.
In other words, our infinite heavenly Father is adequately capable of communing with our heart, throughout our each and every day!
Our personal friendship with Jesus is “Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb!”
Psalm 19:10
.
No, there’s no reason for the widow or widower to continue to be lonely and depressed!
.
This is because the Bible informs us that our personal friendship with Jesus is “Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb!” Psalm 19:10
.
We can be the most joyful human on earth if we will only turn to HIM with 100% devotion!
.
And these promises can strengthen and encourage us throughout our sojourn in this “valley of the shadow of death”, which this world truly is! (Psalm 23)

When Lot lifted up his eyes and saw the lush and green country surrounding Sodom, he decided that affluence and ease of accessibility were more important than keeping separate from the ungodly influences that awaited him and his family in that wicked city.
.
And at first, Lot, no doubt, was determined to keep his family far away from the hedonistic and decadent sins so abundant there!
.
But then, after some time, his family grew to love the selfish pleasures and proud pursuits of Sodom.
But why is this important? Why should we be content with such a meager existence, when so many in society are enjoying the world with all its many pleasures and interesting pursuits and proud career-choices?
.
Listen as Paul continues…
…”But they that will be rich
fall into temptation and a snare,
and into many foolish and hurtful lusts,
which drown men in destruction and perdition.”
1st Timothy 6:9

So here we see that riches will become the source of many temptations and snares, which eventually drown men in destruction and perdition!

And those who pursue affluence will one day awaken to discover that, “they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” v.10

FLEE FROM THE WRATH TO COME!

This above verse sounds much like God’s warning to Lot, on that fateful morning of Sodom’s Judgment Day… “But thou, O man of God, flee these things…” v.11

Yes, just as Lot was told to, “Flee to the mountain”, we Christians are given very similar advice.
Well, the very first thing for a Christian to do, is to make sure that Sodom & Gomorrah is not being directly piped into his or her home, via the television, Internet, radio, the printed-page, etc…!

And even the Christian who has an uncooperative spouse, that Christian can personally stop watching the TV, and continue to plead for the blessing of the Lord for the other wayward members of the home.

“REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE!”
.
The next thing for the Christian to do, is to quit thinking about moving to a more prosperous city, so as to secure a better job, or to enjoy more earthly pleasures!
.
You can just bet, the more affluent a city is, the more wickedness exists there!

And the more wickedness in any city, the greater will be Satan’s ability to corrupt you and/or your family members!
.
Remember Jesus’ warning to all of us… “Remember Lot’s Wife!” Luke 17:32
Mark Twain (and others) once made this following jest concerning the controversy surrounding the true authorship of the writings of Shakespeare… “No, Shakespeare wasn’t written by Shakespeare, but by another man of the same name!”
.
If only Twain had really understood the profundity of his jest, and the enormity of the truth behind it!
You see, this fallen world-system is the creation of Lucifer. He is “the god of this world.”
.
And as such, he has been allowed to fill his kingdom with many seemingly beautiful and wonderful creations in the various arts and sciences.
.
But because this super genius spirit-being fully understands that he must do his work under the cover of darkness…
.
…he has raised up various men through the ages to promote his arts and pseudo-sciences and ideologies.
.
And this works out very well! Because, by so-doing, mere men get the credit for creating these various productions, such as the writings of Shakespeare.
.
And these many creative works only bolster Man’s selfish pride.
Take for instance, King Nebuchadnezzar. This man looked out on the glorious kingdom he had built and began to think he was pretty smart!
.
But God reduced him to a dumb beast for 7 years until Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged that it was actually God who allowed Satan and his fallen angels to build and create that magnificent kingdom of Babylon through Nebuchadnezzar!
.
And without God allowing Satan to work through Nebuchadnezzar, this mere human, Nebuchadnezzar, was nothing more than any other man.
.
But this kingdom of Satan, the world, is filled with many “Nebuchadnezzars”…
.
…men like Shakespeare, and Twain, whom Satan raises up to become “Useful Pawns” in his grand deception against the unsuspecting inhabitants of this world!
Yes, Shakespeare has been elevated to almost a god-like status in this world.

Too bad he’s not around to enjoy all the laud and praise heaped upon him, even to this very day!

No, Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Mozart, Einstein, and all the other so-called creative geniuses throughout history are now resting in their graves (their bodies now dust)…

…each waiting to be raised up on the great day of God’s final judgment, to answer for their lives of rebellion against Heaven.

And hopefully, each of these men turned to God, and repented of their sins prior to their death!

If they did, then they will live forever in the presence of the true Creator!

This Dragon’s mouth is the V-like constellation The Hyades Cluster, which is also known as the head of Taurus the Bull.

The Dragon’s tail-tip is Pleiades and the lower shaft of his tail is partly of Ariesand Pisces.

Then with aid of a dark and starry night, you may begin to connect the mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape.

What we do not consider is that Satan was a master musician in Heaven!

Yes, just listen to his musical abilities…

You (Lucifer) seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty…

was prepared in thee in the day that you were created.

This reference to “tabrets and pipes” is a reference to his musical abilities.

And this other verse, as well…

And so, these two passages make reference to Satan’s elaborate musical accomplishments: tabrets, pipes, violins. Lucifer, it seems, was a veritable one-man-orchestra/choir!
All we need to do is to look at the statistics to know that most romantic relationships are not the result of genuine love.

True love is patient, gentle, forgiving, pure, righteous, and never gives up!

But the mere fact that 9-out-of-10 romantic relationships eventually dissolve, only confirms that these episodes were not true love, but something less! Something from beneath, and not from above!

Yes, God is still calling all those who are ready and willing to make an Exodus out of this Babylonian world!

And praise God that the door of mercy is still ajar, waiting for the last group of ex-patriots of this condemned planet to come aboard the Ark of Salvation, which is about to leave this planet enroute to the Celestial City of God!

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.

The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).

And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).

So we have this 7 and 10 numbering.

Here we begin to discern that God’s people must go in these final hours, as it says in Habakkuk 2, “to walk upon mine high places.”

Yes, the seven golden candlesticks in the Old Testament temple of God actually represent the Church of God through the ages, as enlightened by the Holy Spirit’s abiding presence!
And so, the sanctuary service was symbolic of Christ and His Church.

Now, God has confirmed this fact in various ways.

For instance, listen to 1st Peter 2:9…
…”But ye are a chosen generation,

a royal priesthood…“
.
Now, it is becoming evident that the Old Testament priesthood was symbolic of Christ and His Church, symbolized by the 7 candlesticks of the sanctuary service!
But the reason for even bringing this up is so that in every Christian home, the father needs to rise up to this, his God-ordained high and holy calling.

That’s right, the father is to take up the mantle of the office of priest for his home: his wife and his children.
.
And it would be very advisable for each father to study the Books of Moses to get a clearer picture and insight into just what a solemn and holy office that he has been given by God!
Now having said all this, let’s just face reality!

There are many parents who, for one reason or another, simply cannot be with their children.
.
For the most part, this is true with many fathers.
.
But if that absentee fathers absolutely cannot be together with them, this does not mean that he cannot save their children!
.
No, just the opposite! When we realize that it is actually God Himself who does the saving, then we realize the great truth and promise, that, “With God, all things are possible!” Matthew 19:26
“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”
Hebrews 4:11
.
If a father has the ability to return to be with his family, then, by all means, do so!
.
But if that’s not possible, then what God is mostly wanting from that absentee parent (and/or grandparent) is a fully dedicated life of laboring: laboring to enter into His Rest, that is!
.
Yes, absentee parents can bring infinite blessings into the lives of their children, even though they cannot be there in person!
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:”

First, every father must begin to fulfill his or her role as priest of the home. This means that the Believer must constantly purify his or her own heart, even as Christ is pure!

And even as faithful Enoch, who walked with God, so too, must the absentee parent walk, even as Jesus walked! (see 1st John 2:6 & 3:3)

Turn off the TV. Shut off the secular radio, as well as the secular Internet!

Pray without ceasing!

Listen to uplifting words, music, nature sounds, or whatever else will elevate the heart and mind!

And if there’s a chance of reconciliation, go for it! Even if it requires going through much tribulation!

Now, it is very interesting that Scripture says concerning the iron and clay…
“And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes,

part of potters’ clay, and part of iron,

the kingdom shall be divided…
And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay,

they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men:

but they shall not cleave one to another,

So, this above passage, it would seem, speaks of our time today as a period in history when the people are divided and separated, and Christians will “mingle with the seed of Men”. (unbelievers).
Well, today’s devotional will focus on political division!

And to keep today’s devotional from getting too broad, let’s just keep this topic focused on how all this concerns the Christian community.

And so, the great question that we Christians must ask ourselves is this: “Do I really want to get myself mired down by all this political hate and strife?

“Do I really want to allow my time and attention to be diverted from my commission from God, to become transformed into the image of Jesus?”
But as with so much of the Bible, and with so much of the Book of Revelation, God presents spiritual truths, veiled in types and symbols and allegories.

Yes, the Day of the Lord will be upon the whole earth. And the whole world will be gathered together in Armageddon!

Listen to the prophet Joel…
“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision:
for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.”
Joel 3:14

So, Joel is prophesying of the Day of the Lord, as if it is a decision. A “Valley of Decision”!

Therefore, this Valley of Decision is a spiritual concept, and not a literal place.
Maybe, just maybe, we’ve been looking in the wrong direction!

Maybe we need to do as Luke 21:25, 28 commands…
…”And there shall be signs in the sun,

And when these things begin to come to pass,
then look up, and lift up your heads;

One of the most amazing creatures ever created is the Cuttlefish!

Actually, it is not a fish, but a type of mollusk, like a squid, or an octopus.

One reason why this creature is so incredible, is that it can just glance at its environment and instantly change its body to imitate that environment.

It can even instantly grow leaf-like appendages to imitate certain sea-weeds, waiting for its victim, or to hide from an enemy!
Well, God has created this little predator to give us further insight into the inner working of the kingdom of Satan.

Certainly, Satan and his unseen minions love to make themselves invisible!

That way, they can work their misery and woe upon this unsuspecting world, without its inhabitants becoming alarmed, causing us to rebel against Satan’s kingdom, as we flee to God for refuge!

This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”

And so, when 2nd Thessalonians 2:3 reveals that “the man of sin be revealed” in these last days, it is not only speaking of Satan, and his fallen angels, but also of every human who still serves “the god of this world”, Lucifer, now called Satan!

After all, for many decades, the Master-Deceiver,“the god of this world”, has been indoctrinating our children into atheism in the public schools!(see 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

Yes, Satan, uses erring men to perpetuate the false science called “Evolution”, quite often using myths and hoaxes as proof of this devilish-designed ideology.

Even schoolbooks are repeating the fake myths and hoaxes, already exposed and discredited decades earlier, using the same phony charts and imaginary pictures once created by artists, all in attempt to keep the lie of “Evolution” going!

And now, public schools are even re-writing history books to promote racism!

One night, the TV in their electronics department of a big-box store was airing a rock band in concert.

This lead guitarist ran up a stairway and when he got to the top it looked as though he was electrocuted. Sparks flew in all directions!

And then he quickly descended, still playing, still getting hit by random sparks all the way down this fire-escape-like stairway, as if he was being chased down the stairs by some unknown entity.

When he reached the bottom, he disappeared.

Then in a moment, the stage floor opened and up came this cage with this same guitarist inside the cage (still playing).

But now he had horns like a devil.

And all through this performance, the camera often panned the audience in the stadium, who were more than just a little enthusiastic, to say the least!
And this rock group instinctively knows that you don’t need to die in order to go to Hell.

You just live for the Devil, and you’ve already arrived in Hell: i.e., spiritual darkness!

Now that’s really something, if you think about it!

A group of unbelievers instinctively realize that Hell exists right here and right now on this not-so-terra-firma planet!

Now this is even more amazing when one considers that many Christians are not even aware of this fact, that Hell begins right here on Earth and extends to the grave!
Perhaps one of the points to this story is that while they were doing this skit, these pagan rocksters were unwittingly presenting a Bible truth, which is likewise written in the heavens!

And this Valley of Decision Constellation which lies between the Summer and Winter Constellations gives basically the same skit! But it is written in Heaven!

So, this sketch shows this third mountain (right) with a road that goes straight down to the Dragon (the Devil).

“NICE” PEOPLE!

Well, all this being translated into everyday life, there are many persons who decide for one reason or other, that they do not wish to serve God.

Or perhaps, they simply fall back into a worldly lifestyle.

And just like that satanic skit portrays, these dissatisfied persons, unknowingly become tools of the Devil and are then unwittingly used by him to draw away many others from God’s sheepfold.
And you don’t have to be a Devil-worshipping rock musician, to be a tool of the Devil.

Even some nice, clean-cut, well-behaved members of the community, can deceive fellow church-members, simply by pursuing the things of the world, thus becoming a bad example to fellow church-members.

And just as this rock band is doing the Devil’s bidding in their career in pagan-worship, the rest of us likewise are the Devil’s helpers, whether we know it or not, prior to our conversion to Christianity (and sometimes after, too!)
Does the church-doctrine named “Eternal Torment” make any sense in the light of this above passage?

Quite the opposite of God making people suffer eternally, this above verse instead, tells us to “undo the heavy burdens, and let the oppressed go free”!
.
So then, why would God engage us for a lifetime of discipleship, trying to teach us to NOT oppress others…
.
…and then turn around and lock up 90% or more of the world’s inhabitants in a fiery netherworld torture chamber, to be tormented endlessly?
Today’s signature passage, Isaiah 58:6, reveals a God who hates to see humans oppressing one another!

But God also says, in Isaiah 58:6, that He hates seeing humans shouldered with heavy burdens!

And He hates to see humans suffering under heavy yokes!
.
And so, considering all the Bible passages which speak of Hell as the grave, why do so many insist that God has some eternal netherworld torture chamber?
This passage doesn’t make a stitch of sense if their souls are instead being tormented for ever and ever and ever!

Yes, the New Heaven and New earth will, no doubt, be a place in which those of us who suffered here will enter into a Paradise in which suffering no longer exists!
“…and His (God’s) rest shall be glorious.” Isaiah 11:10

And those who spent night-after-night, year-after-year in torturous sleeplessness, will find the sweet Rest in that land to be so wonderful and so blissful!
And those who lost a limb, or teeth, or became disfigured, or just got old and wrinkled, will rejoice in their brand new glorified spiritual body which will never wear out!

And in that Promised Land, we will be forever young!
And those who were abused, bullied, mocked, scorned, and even tormented, will not be able to find even one of those abusers or even one of those bullies, or one of those mockers or scorners in that Land!

All those tormentors will simply be, nowhere to be found! (Even many may have repented and turned to the Lord!)
And those who were weighed down under the heavy burdens of this life will rejoice to discover that everlasting life will be a brand-new adventure each and every morning!

A DREAM LIFE

And those who failed to find some little piece of Heaven down here on earth, will delight to find that God prepared for them that dream-cottage nestled by a peaceful river!
And those who died at an early age (and we all die at an early age) will realize that a supposedly long life in this sin-cursed earth is meaningless…

LET’S CATCH A VISION OF THAT PROMISED LAND

And to listen to social media, it becomes very evident that many atheists believe themselves to be the Supreme Being of the universe…

But the fact is, “The god of this world” is the true, behind-the-scenes movie producer in Hollywood!

Take for instance, the little seductress, the Photuris, commonly known as the femme fatale lightning bugs of North America.

These alluring little lightning bugs can imitate the mating-signals of light of a female firefly!

Yes, just imagine this happy-go-lucky little firefly, joyfully buzzing about the summer night air, shining his light for all the world to see!

But then, he spots that unmistakable love-light signal which promises romance!
Yes, just like those wonderful little fireflies, the Christian is to let his light shine for all the world to see!

But the last thing Heaven’s enemies want, is for the Christian to be a beacon of soul-saving light for all the world to behold!

And the Bible tells us that there will be false shepherds, so-called “ministers of righteousness”, who will, “if possible, deceive even the very Elect”!
Perhaps, in the beginning, that naive one thought to himself, “Well, maybe I can eventually convert her! After all, she promised to faithfully go to church with me, if we marry!”

Well as we all know, the only one who gets converted, is the Christian…converted back into the world!

And after a few years, his life is so hopelessly devoted to providing her with all the accouterments of this life…

…all in the attempt to satisfy the insatiable desires of his world-focused soulmate!

(Of course, this above scenario is equally true (and maybe even more so), when a female Christian becomes unequally yoked with an unbelieving male!)
The very Good News is, that there is nothing impossible for God!

Yes, “with God, all things are possible”! Matthew 19:26

And just as God doesn’t forget about His lost sheep!

And perhaps as that defeated one is lying in bed, after a hard and discouraging, or even sad day, a still small voice pierces the night…

LIFE FROM THE DEAD!

Yes, there is a very wonderful and merciful light which shines down from Heaven, sending bright beams of mercy even into this dark and hopeless world!
.
Yes, the Christian who has been deceived by Hell’s impostors, has a God in Heaven who (if He chooses to), can bring him (or her) back from death and destruction!
.
And the Eternal One, who was Himself, brought back to life from the dead, can now bring back those who have been gobbled up by one of Hell’s many counterfeit light-bearers!
.
And once revived, that redeemed one will finally realize that a relationship with Jesus is much more fulfilling, more faithful, and more joyful than any earthly relationship could ever be!
This Revelation 12 Woman Constellation is fleeing.

As you can see, the Dragon Constellation is spewing a flood of water in her direction, as is written…
…“And the serpent cast out of his mouth
water as a flood after the woman,
that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.”

This wave of water represents Satan’s lies, and his false teachers who tell those lies.

Beholding the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation in winter, it seems that God is trying to get a very important message across to His people: that His Church is to flee!
Of course, there will be many times when a Christian cannot avoid a certain amount of fellowship with unbelievers: family situations and work situations, etc….
.
During these get-togethers, the Christian will sometimes be sorely tempted to engage in ungodly conversation.
.
Afterwards, the Christian may plead for God’s help to keep him from being drawn into such ungodly conversations.
Does anyone suppose that Jesus had secular friendships? Or Paul, perhaps? Or even the Apostle John?
.
Certainly, the Bible makes no mention of these three having any secular friendships.
.
No, the only persons who wanted to “hang out” with Jesus, Paul, or John were those who were already disciples, or those who were contemplating becoming disciples.
“I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced;
I sat alone because of Thy hand:
for Thou hast filled me with indignation.”
Jeremiah 15:17
.
As this above verse exhorts, we too will often experience loneliness or sadness, even as Jeremiah did, as we also refuse to join in with the mockery and folly of today’s world.
But as Strangers & Pilgrims sojourning through this hopelessly dying world, the Christian must fix his eyes upon the heavenly Prize.
.
Yes, one day soon, the faithful followers of Jesus will cross over that Black River, and into that wonderful Promised Land which will ring with the sounds of everlasting joy!
Now, there is a certain type of goat, often called “The Fainting Goat”, which is the favorite animal on many farms, primarily in the southern states of the USA.
.
This certain breed has a seeming abnormality which causes the goat to stiffen up and fall down whenever startled, frightened, or excited, as if it were dead.
.
But then, after lying stiff with its legs in the air, it quickly regains its composure and stands back upright again.
“…they could not enter in (God’s Rest) because of unbelief”
Hebrews 3:19
.
The fact is, there are multitudes in the Church who do just fine when all is going well.
.
But the moment some trial comes our way, we faint away from any faithful biblical response!
.
Yes, instead of claiming God’s “exceeding great and precious promises”, we quite often, rather just handle that situation exactly like this faithless world reacts to such situations. (see 2nd Peter 1:4)
For example, when many Christians feel we’ve have been mistreated, instead of “turning the other cheek”, we rather react angrily, demanding justice and recompense. (see Matthew 5:39)
.
Or many may resort to using carnal weapons, instead of claiming the promises of God, such as…“And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?” 1st Peter 3:13
But the Good News is, this is still the Day of Salvation!
.
And there is just enough time to begin hiding God’s “exceeding great and precious promises” in our hearts, and praying for strength to stand and walk in those promises.
.
Listen…“He (God) giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.” Isaiah 40:29
.
The Bible is replete with passages concerning this topic.
.
And with a KJV Bible and a concordance, these passages can be searched out.
Well, if we look in the winter-night skies, we might possibly have our eyes opened to see a most incredible constellation group, known as the “Horse and His Rider” Constellation Group.
.
This constellation group is made up of a number of smaller constellations:
In the not-too-distant future, the form of this presently fallen-antichrist-world-system will come to its final end.
.
And for those who persevere through the coming, “Time of Jacob’s Trouble”, there will be the final reward of entering into the Promised Land, which God has prepared for all those who love Him.
.
And it’s a wonderful land, in which the everlasting hills will resound with the joyful noise of laughter and of singing, and of distant bells ringing in triumph of life-everlasting!
Now, beside the great heavenly message that these heavenly signs reveal, could there be another reason for God wanting us to study these heavenly constellations?
Is it possible that God wants His people to familiarize themselves with this heavenly message, so that they might know where these signs are, as a literal guiding lights through the literal wilderness?

In other words, could it be that some, or perhaps some, or even many Believers, may be forced out of society, and into the wilderness?
.
And after becoming very thoroughly familiar with these constellations and stars, might the Believers have to navigate themselves through the wilderness?
None of us know exactly what’s in store for us in the near future.
.
But one thing is for certain: those who are truly wise men today, will follow these stars just as surely as those wise men of old, followed that guiding star which led them to the first Advent of Jesus.

And today, God is still leading wise men to follow the wonderful message which God is now revealing to all who will listen and receive it!

A SIMPLE ENCOURAGEMENT!

And so, today’s devotional is just another encouragement to get on-board with these signs in the Sun, Moon, and Stars, and let Arcturus spiritually guide us to our desired Haven of Rest!

And who knows all the reasons that God has, for giving us these wonderful “Signs…from Heaven”? Luke 21:11

There exists a lot of intrigue regarding just what star did the Magi from the East follow, which led them to the First Advent of our Savior.

The Bible speaks of Arcturus as a possibility…“canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?” Job 38:33.

Arcturus may very well have been that star.

Nobody knows for certain, because God can perform miraculous deeds beyond anything we can conceive or even imagine!

In simple terms, there’s nothing that’s impossible for God! (Luke 1:37)

TYPE OF WISE-MEN OF OLD

But there is a much greater question which confronts Mankind today.

Because, just as a single star guided those wise men to the coming Savior, so also, God is just now giving us a star (plus many other stars), to guide us safely to the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior!

And so this starry guide (Arcturus) appears to be the type fulfillment of those wise men following the star, 2,000 years ago!
We must keep in mind, that those wise men of old, after spending countless hours searching the Scriptures, to see just exactly what and who those prophecies were pointing to…

…they then traveled through the deserts hundreds of miles to find the Messiah.
.
And so, am I willing to spend months praying and searching out this message, in light of God’s Word, to see if this message is the real thing?
.
In other words, am I truly the last-day fulfillment of those wise-men of old?
.
Am I willing to put out the same effort that those wise men of old put out, to discover the truth?
.
And with this message, you don’t even have to travel hundreds of miles!
.
But to really understand this message, does take a great deal of effort.
.
But wise men don’t mind that!
.
After all, that’s exactly the stuff that wise men are made of!
Well, just how do we get rid of our uncontrollable anger?
.
The only true way to get rid of anger is to be filled with the Spirit….

…”But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,

longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
.
faith, Meekness, temperance:
.
against such there is no law.”

As you can clearly see from this above passage from Galatians, the fruit of the Spirit are the very opposite of those attributes which produce “proud wrath”.

STOP THINKING I KNOW MORE THAN GOD

Now, an entire book could be written on this subject.

But this devotional will only focus on one very important aspect concerning overcoming anger.
.
And to illustrate that one aspect, maybe it’s best to quote Proverbs 3:5, 7…

…”Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding…
Be not wise in thine own eyes:
.
fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
.
If an anger-prone person could just live by this one passage, then there might be a great victory over angry outbursts.
.
Because so much of anger is caused by the mindset that, “I know what is best! And if you don’t perform according to my expectations, then my wrath will be kindled against you!”
.
Yes, this mindset is perhaps the biggest contributing factor in those who are constantly losing their temper.
So, if a churchgoer can begin to study God’s Word with the intent of following Jesus, and no longer trusting in their own self-will…
.
…then that angry person might cease from thinking that he or she knows better than everyone else.
.
And the more that we know about God’s will, as revealed in Scripture, the less we will insist upon our own way (see 1st Corinthians 13, 4, 5, ESV Version)…
Now the Good News is, that the true God of Heaven is willing to purify us from our love of pride and anger!
.
Yes, and the difficult times just before us has been designed for that very purpose…
.
Listen…“Enter into the Rock,

and hide thee in the dust,

for fear of the LORD,
.
and for the glory of His majesty.
.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled,
.
and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down,

His right eyebrow is raised as if he is judging.

This second face in the Moon appears to be that of a combination of a man as well as a fox.

Or maybe a wolf.

Doesn’t he have a long narrow nose like a wolf or fox?

Maybe even a dog.

Nevertheless, the expression on his face, as he appears to look down upon the Earth, is that of scorn.
God has placed two flower constellations up in the night-sky.

In the spring appears ‘The Flower of the Field’ (picture right).

But in late winter appears ‘The Flower of Heaven’ (picture left).
.
These two flower constellations present the two classes of people in the world: the “redeemed” souls and the “lost” ones.

“ALL FLESH IS AS GRASS, AND…THE FLOWER OF GRASS”

The fact is, most all of us begin life as a flower of the field…“As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.” Psalm 103:15

This and several other similar verses present this poetic analogy of Mankind.

Our very limited lifespan is like the grass, and our glory, our splendor, and our beauty are like a fading flower.
.
We begin life as a fresh new baby.
.
We grow up and flourish until about the age of 21.
.
But then, we slowly begin to deteriorate.
.
By the age of 30, we begin to show a few signs of aging.
.
And then, by 40 we become noticeably aged.
.
And from then on, the aging process seems to accelerate.
.
We eventually begin to bow down.
.
We might even lose some of our teeth.
.

You see, even though our mortal bodies are doomed, yet our soul does not need to die.
.
Yes, the One who gave His life and suffered on the hill called Calvary, has provided a way of escape for all those who place their implicit trust in His infallible Word of truth.

This is where that Flower of Heaven Constellation comes into play.
.
Yes, even though we begin life as an earth-hugging little flower, the Lord is able to transplant our heart and soul as a fruitful vine in heavenly soil!
.
And as we look up in late winter, the year-long progression of the signs written in the Sun, Moon, and stars, comes to its conclusion with this flower appearing as if clinging to the altar constellation!
.
While it once was doomed to die in its earthly condition as a flower of the field, it now has seemingly hitched a ride on this altar constellation in the sky, also seen in late winter.

THE BRIDE OF CHRIST AS A FRUITFUL VINE!

Of course this reminds us of Psalm 128:1-3…

thy children like olive plants round about thy table.”

In this above verse is a picture of a man’s family like living fruit trees.

And this man’s wife is like a fruit-filled vine by the sides of his house.

To put on God’s armor, that we may be ready for battle against the spiritual forces which come against us.

Nevertheless, the Lord has inscribed this concept of the armor of God in the very night heavens!

Yes, Orion, that most infamous of all constellations has been clearly created to depict a soldier with a sword in his right hand, and a shield in his left hand.

THE REVELATION 12 DRAGON
.
But what or who is this soldier fighting against?
.
Well, if one looks to Orion’s left (just a little southward, slowly moving west each night), there appears a V-shaped cluster of stars.
.
This cluster is commonly known as the Hyades Cluster, but also the horns of Taurus the Bull.
.
And despite what the ancient pagans decided it should be, this V-shaped constellation actually was created by God to be the mouth of the Revelation 12 Dragon…
…”And there appeared another wonder in heaven;
and behold a great red dragon,
having seven heads and ten horns,
and seven crowns upon his heads…
And there was war in heaven:
Michael and his angels fought against the dragon;
and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not;
neither was their place found any more in heaven.”

Here is the true heavenly picture which God placed in the night heavens long ago!

And this is a picture of Christ fighting against Satan, that crooked serpent spoken of in various places in Scripture.

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

Well, the message in the Bible, but also in the night heavens is clear: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11

Yes, here is our heaven-sent marching orders: to armor up!

But how does one put on armor that we can’t even see!?
.
Again, the Word of Christ is replete with spiritual advice on this truth…
…”Through wisdom is an house builded;
and by understanding it is established:
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled
with all precious and pleasant riches.
A wise man is strong; yea,
a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war:
and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
Proverbs 24:3-6

Yes, it is through the knowledge of God’s Word, the Bible, that we are to make our war against the wiles of the Devil.

Our sword and our shield, our helmet, breastplate, and our girdle (clothing) as well as our Gospel shoes are tailor-made by means of hiding God’s Word in our hearts!
.
Even our wise counsellors should be such men as Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as well as Isaiah, Solomon, and all the other Bible penmen, all quickened by the Holy Spirit!

ORION GETS THE VICTORY
.
Now if you will stay up all night, you will see that the tables turn very dramatically for our three warriors.

This is because, as night progresses, and this constellation group moves to the west, God has designed this threesome to now be in the opposite circumstance.
.
Now it is Orion and his Horse who are atop the Dragon.
.
Now Orion is about to cut off the Dragon’s head with his two-edged sword, while the Horse is stomping on his tail.
.
And of course, there needs to be no explanation, because this picture tells the whole story.
.
Jesus wins in the end!
.
God’s people are victorious at last!
.
No wonder the Bible calls this story…“The Good News”!

You see, in the spring, if you look to the north, the constellation commonly known as Ursa Major actually looks like a headless woman who is with child.
.
And yet, as summer turns to fall, and fall turns to winter, this constellation slowly rotates until it is upside-down, now appearing as a running woman with upraised arms.
.
But as winter progresses, this running woman slowly begins to lean forward until she appears to be flying: flying westward.

THE REVELATION 12 DRAGON
.
But what about this serpent or dragon spewing water as a flood after the woman.
.
Well, that’s up there too, in the constellations Hyades (the dragon’s mouth and sharp teeth),
.
Auriga (the wave of water coming out of his mouth),
.
Pleiades, (his tail tassel),
.
…and Cetus (his back leg and fin).
.
And so, here is a heavenly picture of Revelation 12, which develops through the entire year as the world rotates in such a way to make this phenomenon play itself out to display the Revelation 12 scenario!
And the day is soon coming in which God will pluck us out of the miry pit, and set our feet upon a Rock, and put a new song in our mouth, even praise to our God! (See Psalm 40:3)

And on that day, it will seem as if we now have those much-anticipated wings as eagles!
.
And on that glorious day, we will wing our way into the narrow gate which will forever seal our victory over the sin, self, and Satan!
