But for Satan to accomplish this great deception, he must have a people who will represent his kingdom in such a way that the human race will choose this selfish world instead of choosing Heaven!

This is the work of Satan, as he takes on the deceptive role of the great “False Prophet” of Revelation 13, working through his “workers of iniquity” and through his, so-called, “ministers of Righteousness.
And so, this group of dangerous and deceptive people must appear to be of such moral correctness, that, if possible, Satan will “deceive, if it were possible, even the very elect” people of God! (Matthew 24:24, Mark 13:22)

Therefore, it is not the witches and warlocks he will choose to be his representatives!

Nor is it the Rap artists,

No, Satan must raise up a people who will seemingly be above reproach!

Now, the reason for bringing this story of Sodom’s last night to remembrance is because we are now seeing a somewhat similar situation developing in our present-day society!

Yes, there is a social movement occurring in our school systems in which the sin of Sodom is now beginning to be encouraged among students.

That’s right, we’re just starting to see school-age children being indoctrinated to accept the notion that sexual intercourse is just fine for students to engage in!

And equally grievous, “the sin of Sodom” is now being promoted in the same public schools which were once the moral bastion for all school-age children!

And many parents are even joining in on this assault, encouraging their very own young children to embrace homosexuality, and gender reassignment surgery, even chopping off vital body parts!
Well, the very best thing to do would be to pull their children out of public schooling.

After all, even if this immoral indoctrination wasn’t going on, most public schools are now actively grooming children to accept atheism, socialism, evolution, and other similar atheistic philosophies.

So, this, in itself, is reason enough to pull Christian children out of public schooling!

Now of course, because of so many extenuating circumstances in the personal lives of Christian parents, it might not be so easy for many of them to provide home-schooling for their children.

Yellow Journalism has all but become the industry standard in today’s society.

As a matter of fact, William Randolph Hearst, that much-maligned and infamous poster-boy for Yellow Journalism, would fit right in with today’s news-industry hucksters!
Just think about how many lies, errors, misstatements, and coverups (and maybe even many murders) about the pandemic, have been foisted upon the populace by the corrupt government and media!

And even now, some of this pandemic misinformation is knowingly being used as a power-grab by some power-hungry political party!

One great problem with listening to Satan’s accusations and criticisms, is that it obviously sours the hearers of that gossip against those being whispered about.

In other words, whether or not those criticisms and accusations are true, partly true, or even totally fabricated…
.
…all such criticisms begin to fester and grow, as a bitter root, within their own heart.
.

BITTER SPOUSES
.
Many marriages (and other relationships) have been soured, and even destroyed, because of vicious gossip!
.
Thus, the relationship progressively deteriorates.
.
Such persons must seek after the Lord with heartfelt repentance and tearful pleas for personal repentance and spiritual renewal to resolve all such poisonous gossip.
A radio Bible teacher was recounting a conversation which he had many years earlier with an elder pastor, who offered some sage advice.
.
And at some point in the conversation, the elder pastor remarked…“I can fill up my church, by preaching on Bible prophecy, but I can empty the same church by preaching on the Book of Romans!”
.
And then, the elder pastor concluded his complaint by saying… “One thing you’re going to find out in your pastorship is, that most parishioners are more interested in Anti-Christ, than they are interested in Christ!”

ITCHING-EAR-DRIVEN GOSPELS

Another person said basically the same thing, but in a slightly different manner… “Far too many people who would travel over land and sea, to attend a Revelation seminar, wouldn’t even walk across the street to study the book of Romans!”
Perhaps, the greatest reason why Bible prophecy is so popular with many church-attendees is because it is not really about the Bible, but is actually about the world!

“What!?’Someone might say…
…”We’re wearing out the Bible’s pages
in both the Book of Revelation
and the Book of Daniel!
How could that be about the world?”
.
Well, the simple truth is, perhaps as much as 99% of those who study Bible prophecy are doing so incorrectly, resulting in wrong interpretations.
.
That’s right, most Bible prophecy is being wrongly interpreted!
.
And as a result, most of today’s popular theories about Revelation are incorrect, rendering most prophecy seminars next to worthless.
Well, for one thing, the vast majority of prophecy classes do not understand the proper method of Bible study, much less how to study Revelation.
.
And the first great mistake is that Bible teachers and theologians attempt to decipher Revelation by means of history books and/or newspapers.
.
In other words, instead of clinging to that old Reformation mantra, “Sola Scriptura (the Bible only)”…
.
…these erring men will instead attempt to read newspapers to find something out there in the world that is similar to the various images and actions in Revelation.
.
And by this means, the Book of Revelation and Daniel are mostly looked upon as a mere prognostication of future world events.
One prime example of this error is how the supposed “orthodoxy” interprets Daniel’s mention of the “King of the North”.
.
Instead of searching scripture, theologians look on a world globe and determine Russia must be “the King of the North”, since it’s to the north of Israel.
.
However, if using the Bible only, the King of the North turns out to be Babylon’s king, Nebuchadnezzar.
.
And then, by comparing this to Isaiah 14, Nebuchadnezzar is called “O Lucifer, son of the morning”.

“LINE UPON LINE, PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT”

The fact is, every Bible student must be looking for a revelation of the Gospel of Jesus, “comparing spiritual things with spiritual” if he or she ever expects to find truth (see 1st Corinthians 2:13, 14).
.
Therefore, history books and newspapers will be of no value when attempting to decipher hidden truths in Daniel and Revelation.
“THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY”
Revelation 19:10
.
And so, instead of wearing out one’s Bible in only two places (Daniel & Revelation), the Bible prophecy student should instead be searching every “nook and cranny” of the Bible!
.
This is the only way to truly find a correct understanding of the Gospel and how it plays out in the world, past, present, and future, as it relates to the Church.
.
In other words, whether it be the Old Testament prophets, or the Psalms, Proverbs, the four Gospels, the Epistles, or any and every other book of the Bible…
.
…these oft-neglected books are all very relevant to gaining more and more insight into Bible prophecy.
.
Because Daniel and Revelation are also about the character of Jesus and how He victoriously battles against the Devil and his followers.
.
And the entire Bible is, “the Spirit of prophecy”! Revelation 19:10

The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper).

These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (7 Stars).
.
And just as these are the easiest constellations to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).

These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

Back in the days of the Old Testament prophets, God’s people did not want to hear all the negativity which those spokesmen of God had to say to those rebellious people…

Listen to the assessment from God…
…”That this is a rebellious people…
Which say to the seers, See not;
and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things,
speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:”
Isaiah 30:9, 10
.
Just like so many faithful churchgoers today, they just did not want to hear all the negativity directed at them.
.
And so, there is a rebellion in God’s house against all such hard and difficult words, either read from the Bible or spoken from the pulpit.
But just as Jeremiah was warning God’s people of the coming judgment upon them…
.
…so too, God is now warning us of the world-wide Judgment which has already begun “at the house of God!” 1st Peter 4:17
.
Yes, God gave the world several “wake-up calls”, one on 9/11, and the other on May 21st, 2011.
.
But in spite of those two “warning shots across our bow”, the church has gone back to sleep!
.
And in light of this fact, why in the world would we Christians ever imagine that Judgment Day would be filled with a nice soft and smooth message from God?
.
Did we really believe that God would “High-Five” His people for all our faithfulness to His command for us to “purify your hearts even as Christ is pure”? (Paraphrase of 1st John 3:3)
.
Do we actually believe that we have been faithful watchmen on the walls of Zion?
Or how about the personal lives of today’s parishioners…
…copious novels, newspapers, television-watching…
…secular radio and Internet…
…clubs, parties, and social events…
…plays, operas, movies…
…time-consuming hobbies…
…sports…
…proud and ambitious career-choices…
…nicer cars, bigger houses, more recreational vehicles…
…gardens and lands…
…frequent-costly-restauranting…
…expensive vacations…
…and a host of similar pleasures and proud/ambitious pursuits.
.
And we think these kinds of pursuits will make us “Rapture-Ready” as many erroneously suppose?
.
It’s not that these things are bad in themselves!
.
But together, they can easily crowd out the things necessary for our soul-health!
.
.
.
.
.
GOOD NEWS!
.
But there is Good News, believe it or not! Even in this fearful hour when God’s anger against us is great, nevertheless His hand is outstretched still…
.
Listen to the New Testament Book of James…
.
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses,
know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?
whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world
is the enemy of God…
Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.
Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:
let your laughter be turned to mourning,
and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,

Back in the 1970’s, a certain saying was popularized…“The Devil made me do it! The Devil made me do it!”

And this was merely mocking Christians, who were seemingly obsessed with pointing the finger at the Devil.
.
Then this unbelieving world could all joke and mock “the silly and absurd notion” that Satan is a very active and powerful force controlling the peoples of this world!
But the horrifying fact is, the Devil does indeed cause the vast percentage of the world’s inhabitants to do a great number of things!
.
And today’s signature verse from Ephesians 2:2 reveals that Satan is indeed… “theprince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”
.
And let’s face it! To admit that the entire world’s inhabitants are filled with this antichrist spirit is more than anybody is willing to accept, much less even admit!
“And they (the world’s inhabitants) worshipped the dragon…”

At a huge gala celebratory extravaganza, one of Hollywood’s idols gave a tongue-in-cheek thanks to Satan for inspiring his portrayal of a much-despised statesman… “Thank you Satan for inspiring me…”

Well, of course, the audience laughed and applauded.

And even though that movie mogul may (or maybe not) have been speaking in jest, he nevertheless was uttering a great and profound truth…

according to the prince of the power of the air,

Here we see that Satan is the invisible spirit-being who comes through the power of the air, to cause this, his antichrist-world to do his bidding in the affairs of life.

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
.
However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.
.
But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
.
Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.
.
The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).
.
And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).
.
So we have this 7 and 10 numbering.
.
And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent.

Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

…namely, that “the god of this world” has blinded the minds of earth’s inhabitants, so that they may not see the light of Heaven, nor the glory of Jesus.

Yes, the god of this world works overtime to make sure this world’s inhabitants remain prisoners on this “Devil’s Island” prison planet.
Just look at the ever-increasing murder rate! And even senseless murders are now increasing in our societies!

Murders being committed simply for the thrill of it all!
.
And even millions of young people, who don’t physically commit murder are often mesmerized by television shows and video games in which virtual murders must be committed.

Then with aid of a dark and starry night, you may begin to connect the mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape.

The back legs and rear fin are made of 6 stars from the CetusConstellation.

The very Good News is, that we don’t have to fall into the “Bottomless Pit” of sin and depravity, along with the unsaved world!

Yes, there is still time for any and every man, woman, and child to turn away from this doomed world and begin the upward sojourn to the everlasting Promised Land!

And just as Lot escaped to that Mountain, so too, we may also “flee from the wrath to come”, as we flee to Heavenly Mount Zion, the City of God!
.
In that wonderful land, there will be no more hate, no more lies, nor deceptions.
.
It is a goodly Land, of mountains, and trees and rivers and green grass valleys: a Land flowing with milk and honey: a Land in which we be forever happy and yes, forever young!

TODAY’S PRAYER…
“Dear Lord, Keep me from allowing the Devil to wrap me up in his silky threads of deception! Separate me as far as possible from all ungodly influences, and give me the love for Your Word, that I might fully immerse myself in it…
But it has already been discussed that when Christians try to warn the world to, “Prepare to meet Thy God”,it must be done in a most solemn and holy manner.

But alas, our lives are instead somewhat devoted to career, and opulence, and vacations, and parties, and laughing and joking, etc…
.
Well, the world is savvier than we give them credit for!
.
They can see through our double-tongued hypocrisy!
Now, there is one more aspect to joking or jesting or sarcastic humor, or comedy, or what other name one wishes to refer to. The Bible calls it “mocking”, and “jesting”.
.
Paul, when writing to Timothy, prophesied that in the latter times, that men’s consciences would be seared as with a hot iron. (See 1st Timothy 4:2)
.
But what does this have to do with joking and jesting and light and frivolous conversation?
.
The problem is, when we get into the habit of making light of so many of life’s issues, our consciences eventually become desensitized to the seriousness of life!
.
For instance, when we hear many jokes about death, it loses its sting! (But when standing at death’s door, the sting will come back a hundred-fold!)
.
Or when we stand in line at the grocery store, those mocking, sensational tabloid headlines also tend to make us callous and skeptical!
.
Or when we watch situation comedies, night-after-night, they tend to cause us to lose our sympathy and sincerity for the problems which others are going through!
It’s so sad to watch the late-night comedians make fun of the people and problems of life!
.
But of course, they are of the world, so what else can we expect from the world?
.
But Christians need to keep our conscience very tender!
.
But when we turn so many situations of life into a joke, our calloused heart loses much sympathy for the troubles which the world suffers!
.
For instance, when we laugh at videos which make fun of all the “odd people” in shopping centers, we lose any sympathy we might otherwise have for them!
.
Listen… “Unto the pure all things are pure:
but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure;
but even their mind and conscience is defiled.”
Titus 1:15
.
As this above verse reveals, we can defile our mind and conscience!

THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back)…
.
…plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars.
.
It appears as an outline of a rider.
.
Only the back of his head is detailed.
.
And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed.
.
Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horse’s mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane).
.
The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse rider.
.
The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg.
.
All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.
Those who long ago sailed to this fledging nation, exhausted from the centuries of religious/civil tyranny in Europe, formed a Christian nation!

Yes, America was the beginning of a great experiment in freedom of political/religious speech as well as liberty of conscience!

And God mercifully gave this nation an incredible constitution: a set of fundamental governing laws.

Such a wonderful gift by the Almighty, because of the cruel tyranny He allowed by the harsh hand of Satan, throughout the various European nations during the centuries of The Dark Ages.

But tragically and very sadly, what began as TheUNITED States of America, has finally now devolved into The DIVIDED States of America!

AS THE WORLD OF POLITICS TURNS

A relatively new distracting indulgence has arisen in these last days, which especially attracts and intrigues and ensnares many churchgoers, even genuine Believers: the daily soap-opera of politics!

Yes, one can simply turn on the radio/TV/Internet, and watch this intense daily drama, complete with “good guys” and “villains”.
.
And even one talk-radio personality once made the clever observation, “The greatest show on earth is two scorpions in a brandy glass!”
.
And isn’t it true, that politics has become just that!
.
And why should we wonder that the game of chess, a game of political strategy, is so captivating?
“No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life!”

Listen to Paul’s advice to Timothy…

that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

Yes, too many of us Christians have been captivated by modern media’s voyeuristic capabilities as we behold the evildoings of this fallen world, each day, even ALL DAY!

Why, it’s even more captivating than sports, since the consequences of today’s political/social issues are very real and critically, even existentially important!

You see, one of the great errors in today’s Christian community is the common practice of concocting theological jargon which are found nowhere in Scripture.

In other words, there are certain church doctrines which, sadly, have no origin nor foundation in Scripture…

…and yet, these false teachings are propped up and supported by establishing some man-made theological name, which lends to them a certain air of credibility.

THE BRAIN-CHILD OF DARBY, SCOFIELD AND OTHERS!
.
For instance, one well-accepted doctrine in today’s Christian world is the so-called “Rapture”.
.
But the fact is, the Bible makes no mention of this theologian-derived name which is used as a substitute for the true biblical name, “The Return of the Lord”.
.
But in attempt to establish two separate returns of Jesus, this unbiblical name was fabricated by several theologians of the past, to give impetus to this notion that Christ would return not once, but twice.
.
Well, these two men, Darby & Scofield, are rarely ever mentioned, nor given any credit for this name, “The Rapture”.
.
And this cover-up is done in a veiled attempt to deceive unlearned churchgoers into believing that this unbiblical name is actually of Divine origin! But it’s not!
“Replacement Theology” likewise, is another totally non-biblical name concocted to establish a false teaching which has absolutely no biblical support.
.
And being constantly repeated, it has also become well-accepted in today’s churches.

“ADD THOU NOT UNTO HIS WORDS!”
Proverbs 30:6

But the Bible warns against “adding to” or “diminishing ought” from Scripture. (see Deuteronomy 4:2 & Proverbs 30:5, 6 & Revelation 22:18, 19)

And the fact is, if the Bible student would always insist on eliminating these man-made names from any and all theological discussions…

…the proponents and adherents of those church heresies would then be forced to defend them using the Bible only, which they simply cannot do!

“WHEN FOR THE TIME, YE OUGHT TO BE TEACHERS!”

It is our duty to achieve teacher-status (as Hebrews 5:12 exhorts us concerning our daily Bible study)…

…so that we will no longer be dependent on today’s apostate Bible teachers to tell us what we must believe…
…”But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you,
and YE NEED NOT THAT ANY MAN TEACH YOU:
but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things,
“THE SABBATH…WHERE PRAYER WAS WONT (DESIRED) TO BE MADE”
Acts 16:13

After all, this above verse seems to establish that the Sabbath was still a one day per week event in New Testament times!
.
And by coming out of that city of Philippi (definitely not a Jewish community), and going down to the river where, “prayer was wont (desired) to be made”…
.
…strongly suggests that Paul and the other followers of Jesus, both Jew and Gentile, still honored the literal Sabbath day of the Old Testament.
And yet, there are a number of other Bible passages which confirm that the New Testament Sabbath is not a LITERAL, but rather, a SPIRITUAL rest, in which Jesus says…
…”Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Matthew 11:28, 29

So, which is it?
.
Is the New Testament Sabbath still a literal 24-hour-per-week event?
.
Or is the New Testament Sabbath a 24/7/365 cessation from the works of the flesh: the spiritual rest we have in Jesus?
Well, perhaps this next verse may clear up at least some of the confusion…
…”One man esteemeth one day above another:
another esteemeth every day alike.
Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord;
and he that regardeth not the day,
to the Lord he doth not regard it.”
Romans 14:5, 6
.
Now, without clarifying exactly what “day” he’s referring to here, Paul nevertheless lays down a principle which can aptly be applied to the 7th-Day Sabbath.
.
After all, the New Testament does seem to be ambiguous regarding the Sabbath issue.
“A BROKEN AND A CONTRITE HEART…THOU WILT NOT DESPISE!”
Psalm 51:17
.
Ultimately, the Bible commands us this way…“Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.” Romans 14:5.
.
In other words, before we begin to condemn any other person about their Sabbath keeping, let’s remember that Romans 14:5, 6, warns us not to do this…
.
…we are not to judge one man who regards one day above another, nor another man who regards all days alike!
.
And until we become fully persuaded in our own mind about this question, as it applies to our own life, it might be wise to consider also keeping a literal 24-hour-per-week Sabbath, as Paul seemed to do!
.
After all, doesn’t Jesus assure us…“For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day”? Matthew 12:8

And those who are willing to devote themselves to unceasing prayer and constant meditation of God’s Word, will begin to locate these heavenly messengers!

So why not put away our vain search for earthly treasures and begin to search for the everlasting riches found throughout the Bible, and now to also seek after those precious gem-stones that God is revealing in the heavens…
The Bible pronounces a curse upon all those who refuse to,“Come out of Her (Babylon) My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.“

And the reader is encouraged to click on and begin reading this series of devotionals called“Come Out of Her, My People”, to gain a fuller understanding of just why God considers today’s churches to be spiritual Babylon.
It will be very difficult for God’s true worshipers to join this end-time exodus until they are firmly convinced that the churches have truly become fully apostate.

And so, those in the church-world who are sincere truth-seekers, must devote much time to exploring the Bible concerning that the churches have, indeed, been yoked together with this fallen, Babylonish world.
What makes it so difficult to discern the utter apostasy of the church-world, is that everything appears to be “business as usual” in the churches.

Oh yes, those “wacky name-it-and-claim-it” churches over there are obviously apostate as are the liberal churches which embrace the same decadence which is destroying the western nations.
But what about these conservative churches over here?

You attend one of their services and you might imagine that they are just as spiritually vibrant as they ever were…
…Preaching from the Bible…
…conservative music…
…the pews filled with happy, earnest-looking…
…and well-behaved parishioners…
…serious-minded pastor…
…and even a nice choir!

So how in the world could we ever believe that “My little conservative congregation could possibly be apostate!?” That idea seems totally ridiculous!?

DECEIVING THE VERY ELECT!

But what we are forgetting is that we are in the last moments of time!
And the Bible plainly declares…
…”For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,
and shall show great signs and wonders;

Because so many faithful churchgoers do not prayerfully consider this passage from Matthew 24, they are NOT equipped to properly discern Satan’s counterfeit deception!

The fact is, those of us who possess (or rather, ‘are possessed by’) this dubious “gift” of making jokes and jests, and funny “off-the-cuff” remarks are quite often unaware that we are behaving in an unchristlike manner.
.
We take much pride in our ability to come up with clever remarks which make others laugh.
.
And so, our supposed “gift” actually becomes an idol in our heart.
But there are many in the church-world who are in complete denial, attempting to justify this sin by saying, “Well, isn’t good to make people laugh?
.
“After all, ‘A merry heart doeth good like a medicine’!”, they confidently and presumptuously say!
.
But so much of jesting makes light of this tragic world! And it “skins over” the wounds of a sin-sick soul, even as Thomas Brooks wrote…“They (jesting pastors) are like evil surgeons, that skin over the wound—but never heal it…”
.
And of course, for the unsaved people of this lost world, what else can they do? That’s just how they deal with this tragic world! Let them engage in their foolish humor. But don’t think their laughter will help their tragic circumstances.
No, as these above verses reveal, the laughter of the world is ultimately of no value…“All is vanity (meaningless) and vexation of spirit” (Ecclesiastes, read the whole book)

Oh yes, Christ had a joyful heart. And yet, at the same time, He was also very serious…
“A Man of sorrows, and aquainted with grief…

But His inner joy and agape love were borne from Heaven and not at all from earthy and sensual behavior!

But there won’t be joking and jesting there!

But love, joy and peace, and even innocent laughter will reign supreme in that wonderful Promised Land, “And I saw a New Heaven, and a New Earth!” Revelation 21:1

When you were a child, did you ever hear the expression, “Are you ready to cry, ‘Uncle’?”
.
Of course, this was a common saying among children to let their opponent know, “I’ve had enough! I can’t take it anymore!”
.
One of the more believable speculations of the origin of this saying is from “American Speech” in 1980: that “Uncle in this expression is surely a folk etymology, and the Irish original of the word is ‘anacol’ … ‘act of protecting; deliverance; mercy, quarter, safety’”.
But what was the purpose of pouring out those plagues?
.
Listen to God as He speaks to Pharaoh through Moses and Aaron…“Else, if thou refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:” Exodus 10:4
.
The point is, these plagues were to cause Pharaoh to finally allow God’s people to leave Egypt to serve God alone, no longer held in bondage to slavery.
.
And so, this whole nonsense that all the torment and plagues mentioned in Revelation are for the mere sake of causing fallen Mankind to suffer, is a product of unsanctified theologians.
Now of course, the Book of Revelation is a highly spiritual Book.
.
And so, being greatly written in allegorical language, it is very difficult to know exactly what these seven plagues will be.
.
Nevertheless, as one surveys the world landscape, there is a very dramatic, and yes, even a seemingly apocalyptic series of events happening right now…
.
…right now, on a number of different fronts throughout the various societies of the world.
And so, the question that must be asked and considered is this: “Could it be that these things are somehow connected to the seven plagues spoken of in Revelation, Chapter 16?”
But the Good News is, that you and I do not have to wait for some mass public repentance to occur!
.
No, there is no better time for an individual, be it man, woman, or child, to begin to cry out for God’s mercy and grace.
.
Oh no, this may or may or not stem the swelling tide of evil sweeping over the world.
.
But by perseveringly pleading with God, His grace, mercy, and peace may just come down to stem the tide of evil in the life of any spiritually needy soul who cries out, not “Uncle”, but rather, “Father! Save me!”
.

In John Bunyan’s earth-shaking tale, Pilgrim’s Progress, the main character, Christian, was on his way to the Celestial City, to get that great Burden off his back (the burden of sin).

But on that way, he met up with a fellow named Worldly Wiseman, who informed Christian that such an arduous journey was not necessary.
.
He told Christian that all he needed was to go to the Village of Morality in which all the citizens there merely lived a moral life, while still pursuing the selfish pleasures and ambitious attainments this world has to offer!
Only this Village called Morality is now a full-grown city!
.
Oh yes, wouldn’t you know it! Worldly Wiseman is still around!

And still, he’s busily misdirecting simple-minded churchgoers into going to the City of Morality instead of continuing onward and upward to Zion, the City of God!
In the November 1st devotional (click here), this notion that many faithful churchgoers imagine that they can begin to live a moral life while still seeking after the selfish pleasures and ambitious pursuits of the world, was the topic two days ago.

But this continuation of that devotional is to further lay down the reasons why such a supposed “dream life” is just not possible in this fallen world.
“And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
2nd Timothy 2:26

And it was pointed out in that same November 1st devotional, that Satan, “the god of this world”, will never allow these deceived ones to escape his world-wide snare!

No, just the opposite! This great and treacherous spider will continue to wrap his silken cords of selfishness and deceit around his victims!

And finally, he will inject his liquefying poison of spiritual darkness into their veins until they melt into a spiritual jelly-like substance, ready for his Satanic Majesty to gobble them up!

And yet, these spiritually bankrupt ones, in their self-deceived duplicity, can perhaps at times get a glimpse of themselves for what they really are.

Yes, in His love, pity, and tender mercy, God may open my eyes to give me a candid look at myself as He sees me!

For instance, many will legalistically tithe our 10%, while withholding much for our own personal selfish pleasures.

And as we perceive the needy multitudes around the world, we cry to ourselves…“Oh how selfish I’ve been with my money, when I could instead be financially supporting some faithful outreach ministry!”

And besides the question of finances, our less-than-holy behavior frequently manifests itself in fits of proud anger, impatience, rudeness, fleshly lusts, gluttony, cursing, greed, and other similar fleshly characteristics!

Oh yes, we would love to be Christlike. But we cannot!
“O HOW LOVE I THY LAW! IT IS MY MEDITATION ALL THE DAY!”

And so, we moralists may continue in some 15-minute daily Bible study. But as soon as we close our Bible our thoughts return to our daily earthly pursuits.

And even though the Bible commands all Christians to meditate day and night on the Word, we just cannot get our minds to do so.

We are caught in the Devil’s web of selfishness!

The hours wasted by television, radio, clubs, parties, money-getting for selfish pursuits, amusements, sports, houses/gardens/pleasure vehicles/etc., can all be witnesses used by God to convict our nearly dead consciences that we are lacking a true relationship with Jesus.

Now having said all this, it must also be said that it is a very dangerous undertaking to criticize others.

All this must be done with much fear and trembling!

A certain caller to a radio talk show made an amazing analogy concerning the bizarre behavior of this current-day society.

You see, this caller said to the effect of, “When I was a boy, I read Superman comics. But the producers of that comic-strip would sometimes publish a companion comic book called, ‘Bizarro World.'”

And the caller continued…“And in that Bizarro World comic book, Superman’s mirror-opposite enemy named “Bizarroman” decided to create his own world, Bizarro World, a cube-shaped, look-alike planet.”

Well, the caller to this talk show was referring to the global paradigm shifts now taking place in which women want to be men and men desire to be women, even to the degree that public restrooms for women are now being used by men, and visa-versa.

And schools which were once the bastions of good behavior are now teaching youth to engage in perverted lifestyles.

Society is now actively encouraging the mutilation of children’s organs, all in the insane ideology that children can choose whichever gender they fancy!
(This particular insanity will most likely end soon, if the complicit medical community begins to face a myriad of lawsuits by those mutilated children!)

And much of the current trendy music glorifies evil behavior.
.
And Hollywood movies often glorify, not just the bad guys, but also such things as violence, murder, revenge, and other objectionable behavior!

And many of today’s judges no longer care about the rule of law, which was designed to keep and protect society.

And more and more government officials are getting increasingly corrupt.
.
And a nation which once operated “above board” is now going deeper into debt, through reckless, even insane spending.

And murderers and criminals are often praised by our Bizarro-world media.
.
And the western societies which once rejoiced in the truth of the Bible are now beginning to embrace false religious systems!

Yes, the radio show caller made a dramatic comparison of today’s bizarre paradigm shifts to that Bizarro World comic strip.
The fact is, it can be truly said that Planet Earth has always been a type of Bizarro World!
.
Yes, Planet Earth has never been anything but “Bizarro World”, since the day that true “Bizarroman”, Lucifer, took his rebellion along with his fellow rebels down from Heaven to this world.
.
That’s right! Heaven was all good.
.
And there was no evil in the heavens, until that fateful day when evil sprung up and began to fester and grow in Lucifer’s heart.
The one big difference between Bizarro World and Planet Earth is that a huge part of Lucifer’s character is his deceptive nature.

In other words, Lucifer, now given the office and title, Satan, knows that the world’s inhabitants must be deceived into believing that this world is a “good place” to a great extent.

And so, this master-deceiver has sprinkled this evil world with a false “form of godliness”. 2nd Timothy 3:5

Yes, as an observer surveys this world, there is a multitude of seemingly “good and innocent” pleasures and pursuits.
Well, in spite of our Bizarro World evil nature, the true Superman, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has visited this Bizarro World planet and left for us a huge blessing in the form of Salvation!

And any man, woman, or child who desires to escape from this doomed planet, can cry out for Salvation…
.
…and not cease to cry out until that blessed Salvation restores the soul of that needy person into the image of Christ, the very essence of everything good and right!

And to make matters even more wonderful, Christ’s atonement on that cruel Cross has provided a way of escape from this doomed Bizarro World of death and destruction!

In John Bunyan’s earth-shaking tale, Pilgrim’s Progress, the main character, Christian, was on his way to the Celestial City, to get that great Burden off his back (the burden of sin and its wages).

But on that way, he met up with a fellow named Worldly Wiseman, who informed Christian that such an arduous journey was not necessary.
.
He told Christian that all he needed was to go to the Village of Morality!
Only this Village called Morality is now a full-grown city!
.
Yes, a great portion of today’s Christendom has become just that! The City of Morality!
.
And there are many Christians who, like Bunyan’s pilgrim, have been duped by that old deceiver, Worldly Wiseman!
.
Oh yes, wouldn’t you know it! Worldly Wiseman is still around!
.
And still, he’s busily misdirecting simple-minded Christians into going to the City of Morality instead of continuing onward and upward to Zion, the City of God!
but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

Here above is seen the total depravity of this world of selfish pleasures and ambitious pursuits: “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1st John 5:19
Nevertheless, that “serpent of old”, the great deceiver carries on his masterful artifice against the people of God.

And that old “worldly wiseman” is busily promoting all the so-called “innocent” pleasures and ambitious pursuits which are so abundant in today’s state-of-the-art, cornucopian super-society.

Yes, that master-deceiver has given this evil world a complete make-over, almost making it seem at times, like a theme-park Wonderland, complete with adventures, worldly dreams, and new frontiers to conquer….

And in his role as the modern-day, “The False Prophet”, Satan has enjoyed great success in drawing away churchgoers from the true and pure Gospel…

…enticing them back into the world, as they attempt to have Heaven while still clinging to the earth.

And perhaps one of Satan’s greatest deceptions is that a Christian can achieve some type of earthly dreamlife and still remain on the upward, Heavenward sojourn.

But that is not possible! Just the opposite…“Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.” Psalm 73:12

Yes, if only the faithful churchgoer will simply pinch off a little piece of this world and offer it on the altar of his or her selfish desires!

That’s all that it takes to worship his Satanic Majesty!

But make no mistake! All those genuine and faithful Christians with wayward family members will be silently and tearfully crying out, day and night, that God will deliver them all out of this Babylonish captivity: “The City of Destruction”.

Yes, we expend our time and energy in pursuit of today’s gods, thinking that an hour or two in church each week will somehow erase all those ungodly images and rhetoric they absorbed through a week of TV/Internet viewing.

Oh yes, there are those who do seem to measure up to the high standards which society exalts before our eyes each day, and before the eyes of our children.

And those who do seem to live a charmed life in one way or another, give us no comfort as we struggle with our own personal inadequacies!
.
Oh yes, we desire to be like them.
.
Even the Psalmist wrote…“For I was envious…
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked…
They are not in trouble as other men;
neither are they plagued like other men…
Their eyes stand out with fatness:
they have more than heart could wish…
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world;
they increase in riches.”
Psalm 73:3, 5, 7, 12

Yes, even this Psalmist was jealous as he looked at the charmed life of others who were not plagued on a daily basis as he was.
Well, the extremely Good News is that those who have had their eyes opened to Heaven’s Truth are actually the richest of the rich!
.
This is because they possess the unsearchable riches of eternal life and the true wisdom which the unsaved world cannot know, nor comprehend! (Ephesians 3:8, Revelation 5:12, James, 3:15-17)
.
Yes, they are teaming up with the God of infinite power, wisdom, and universal love!
.
And among those heavenly riches are the virtues of sympathy and Christlike compassion even for those who prosper in this world, yet are not rich toward God!
.
And we constantly pray that they too might escape this graveyard, called Planet Earth, in which all lost souls will be merely return to dust-in-the-wind for all time and eternity.

These above lyrics declare that each and every human must serve someone (Pretty good sentiments coming out from the world!).

Oh yes, “the god of this world” has successfully convinced most of the world that “you don’t have to serve someone!”
.
In other words, Lucifer, ”the god of this world”, has created this antichrist world-system in which we believe we can merely live our selfish lives free from the laws of Heaven!
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other…”
Matthew 6:24
.
This inescapable truth (That you must serve either God or Satan) is most vividly displayed as we sadly and horrifically behold all the woe and misery and destruction and death of this hopeless-world-of-selfish-desires.
.
In other words, even though we may not actually see a literal “god of evil”, the Devil, we can nevertheless behold his long train of hate, and violence, and lust, and greed, and revenge, and witchcraft, sorcery, and all the other results of mankind’s selfish ways!

…I’m a good person, and I don’t need anyone’s religion!”

The fact is, that atheism is also a belief system, based upon faith in certain unprovable ideas: the belief that God doesn’t exist…

…the nonsensical belief that all this grand universe’s beauty, majesty, and law & order were the mindless creation from nothingness!

Mankind was created to worship God alone.

Oh no, few people will acknowledge this fact. Most are ignorant of this fact.

And yet, truth-be-told, 100% of the world’s citizens are religious in the truest sense of the word!

They either worship the “God of Heaven”…or they worship“the god of this world”!

And because the world has rejected the Law of God, the Bible, they are now accepting Satan’s lies, making those false, humanistic ideas their own special catechism of atheism’s religious-doctrinal-beliefs!

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration into another area of concern.
.
Let’s look at the key Bible passage…
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea:
who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews.
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,
in that they received the word with all readiness of mind,
Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:
.
1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”
.
2.“And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
.
And so, the Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.
.
Thus, there was an open-mindedness which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to search the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!
.
And their open-mindedness was in contrast to vast close-minded majority of that day, who merely listened just long enough until heard some supposed error in Paul’s teachings, giving themselves an excuse to reject him altogether!
The Book of Revelation was given for the Church in every age, even as it is written… ”Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND.” Revelation 22:10.
.
Yes, the Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ is just as its title reveals: it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, and His marvelous workings in a world steeped in sin and woe.
But since about the mid-twentieth century, the apostate portion of the Church has been misleading the Christian community into the notion that the last 19 chapters of Revelation concern only the literal Jews and are greatly irrelevant for the Church.
.
And to further bolster this notion, the man-made name, “The Rapture” was invented and added to the teachings of theologians and Bible teachers…
.
…to bring about the deception that there will be two separate returns of Christ…
.
…thus, promoting the fallacy that the Church would be snatched away prior to the last 7 years of earth’s great end-of-days tribulation.
.
This is a fatal error, and is easily disproved by such passages as this above verse from Revelation, plus many other similar passages such as this…
…”Blessed is he that readeth,
and they that hear the words of this prophecy,
and keep those things which are written therein:
FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND.”
Revelation 1:3

“THE TIME IS AT HAND”
.
Now why does God pronounce those to be blessed, who read and hear and keep “the words of this prophecy”?
.
Simple! Because “the time is at hand.”
.
In other words, the entire Book of Revelation was given to be a comfort for God’s people at any point in time in the New Testament era, as it reveals how Jesus works with and works through His Church-elect.
.
Yes, persecution against Christians by Satan’s armies began soon after Christ’s ascension!
However, the problem came in when apostate church theologians decided that Scripture must be interpreted as literal as possible, to avoid all the indiscriminate mis-interpreting of Scripture by many unsanctified minds.
.
But as the saying goes, “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater!” Just because some theologians came up with wrong ideas, did not necessitate the forbidding of all spiritualizing away the many types, shadows, allegories, etc…
.
Yes, by judiciously comparing scripture with scripture, and spiritual things with spiritual, one may find the true spiritual meaning veiled behind the various allegories, parables, types, and shadows found throughout both testaments.
.
And doesn’t Jesus Himself tell us…
”And He said, Unto you (His true disciples)
it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God:
but to others in parables;
that seeing they might not see,
and hearing they might not understand.”?
Luke 8:10
.
The fact is, the Bible is a spiritual Book. God has filled it with many truths which are often veiled within types and shadows and parables and allegories.
.
And this very spiritual Book can only be revealed by the indwelling Holy Spirit combined with a thorough searching out and comparing of scripture with scripture.
And concerning the allegorical nature of the Bible, even Paul asks the question… ”Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?…Which things are an allegory.” Galatians 4:21, 24
.
Paul here was gently scolding the Galatians for not discerning the allegorical nature of the Law which would have revealed to them the deeper truths which these Galatians could not see by reason of their spiritual blindness.
.
But likewise, today’s apostate portion of the Church cannot properly discern spiritual things even as it is written…
“not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know [them],
because they are spiritually discerned.”
1st Corinthians 2:13, 14
.
Yes, the Bible is a spiritual book. But the carnal heart cannot properly discern that spiritual nature, nor does it even desire to do so.
.
And to further lock them out of truth, Satan stealthily brought in this false non-biblical hermeneutic which demands that scripture must only be interpreted literally, as far as possible.
“Dear Lord, Help me to be an open-minded seeker of truth, even if it means giving up a very highly regarded Church opinion! Let me be willing to investigate any seemingly new teaching if it appears to have some biblical validity…

The so-called “orthodoxy” in the church-world has been hammering the notion into the minds of Christians and church-attendees for the many decades, even centuries, the notion that the punishment of the wicked is only for the unsaved of the world.

And of course, there are many Bible references which seem to support this idea.

Unfortunately, the Christian community has been content to accept this notion far too readily, while ignoring other passages which tell us that true worshippers of God will be likewise afflicted.

“THOU IN FAITHFULNESS HAST AFFLICTED ME”

Listen to Psalm 119:67, 71, 75…
…”Before I was afflicted I went astray:
but now have I kept Thy Word…
It is good for me that I have been afflicted;
that I might learn Thy statutes…
I know, O LORD, that Thy judgments are right,
and that Thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.”
.
There is no purpose for God to afflict those who are eternally lost.

“For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.”
Psalm 73:14

Listen to this next verse from Psalm 73:3-5…
…”For I was envious at the foolish,
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
For there are no bands in their death:
but their strength is firm.
They are not in trouble as other men;
neither are they plagued like other men.”
.
In this above passage is revealed that affliction is not for those who are of the world.
.
But this same Psalmist saw that the wicked seem to have such a nice peaceful existence, while this Psalmist complained about his own self…
…”For all the day long have I been plagued,
and chastened every morning.”
Psalm 73:14
.
Yes, the Psalmist was envious at those who prospered in the world, while he himself was afflicted seemingly every morning!
GOD’S AFFLICTIONS FOR HIS OWN PEOPLE AND NOT FOR THE WORLD!
.
And so, with this truth in mind, (that God’s people, and not the world, are the ones to be afflicted) the 14th Chapter of Revelation begins to take on a completely different application…
“But though He (the Lord) cause grief, yet will He have compassion…”
.
No, God has no desire to needlessly punish those who will have no part in Christ’s eternal inheritance, even as it is written…
…”For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
But though He cause grief,
yet will He have compassion
according to the multitude of His mercies.
For He doth not afflict willingly
nor grieve the children of men…
Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to the LORD.”
Lamentations 3:31-33, 40
.
Here is revealed that God’s punishments are not merely for the sake of inflicting pain, but are expressly given for the purpose of bringing that afflicted one to repentance and restoration back to Heaven’s ways.
What most Christians and churchgoers do not take into account is that the Bible reveals a spiritual truth that there exists two men in the lives of true Christians…
…”The Old Man, which is corrupt
according to the deceitful lusts;”
(Ephesians 4:22)…
.
…but also, “The New Man,
which is renewed in knowledge
after the image of Him that created Him:”
Colossians 3:10.

Now, today’s devotional is by no means saying that our afflictions are something to enjoy…
…”Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness
unto them which are exercised thereby.”
Hebrews 12:11
.
Yes, our afflictions are grievous, to say the least!
.
But by faith we endure them, knowing that they will yield a wonderful harvest of spiritual fruit, as long as we faint not because of those afflictions!
And then, there are many who primarily study Bible prophecy, and this for the purpose of knowing future events.
.
One of the great errors which many of these prophecy buffs make, is to believe that only the Book of Revelation and other certain limited parts of the Bible are beneficial for prophecy.
.
Nor do they understand that Revelation’s prophecies are spiritually-discerned illustrations of the Gospel of Christ’s character.
Far too many bible prophecy enthusiasts make the fatal error of trying to decipher prophecies by means of history books and newspapers.
.
And this is often done out of a morbid desire to merely prognosticate future events.
.
And Bible study which relies on other books and on newspapers makes that Bible student or teacher guilty of adding man’s corrupt words to God’s infallible Word.
But if only these erring prophecy students would cling to that old Reformation mantra, “Sola Scriptura”, which means, “The Bible Only”…
.
…and merely, prayerfully and carefully, compare scripture with other comparable scriptures…
.
…they might begin to discover the true interpretation of Bible prophecy!
.
And they might be surprised to find that Bible prophecy reveals more and more about Jesus Christ and His Salvation plan!
.
In other words, to merely seek to know future events is not what good and beneficial Bible prophecy is about.
.
And let’s face it! Prophecy teachers who have been guilty of relying on history books and newspapers to discover and predict future events, will most likely have to eventually apologize for their mistaken predictions.
.
But these are just some examples of improper Bible study.
Listen to the words of Jesus in His sermon on the mount…“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6
.
This above verse clearly defines the deep and primary purpose of every true Christian: to become changed into the image of Jesus!
.
And as this above passage reveals, the true Christian hungers and thirsts after Christ’s character!
.
To become changed into His image is the overwhelming longing and pining of the true child of God!
.
And all those hungering and thirsting Believers will…
The Good News is that today is still the day of Salvation!
.
And all those who desire such a relationship with Jesus can begin to cry out for such soul-saving treasures of Christ’s knowledge and wisdom found hidden within the pages of the Bible.
that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust.”

WINTER CONSTELLATIONS
.
.
This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter.
.
Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story).
.
Orion, the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).
But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan.
.
The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.
.
This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark).
.
While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions.
.
It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.
.
The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars.
.
The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle.
.
The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of theDragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here).
.
The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch below left).
