Well, in these last decades, Satan has stepped up his attacks by the invention of high-tech devices, most notably, television, radio, and now Internet.

Of course, it has long been Satan’s preferred method to destroy faith by keeping churchgoers so busy, that they neglect to read their Bibles, nor contemplate God’s Word.
.
And this website has continually warned Christians against allowing ourselves to get so busy with the pleasures, non-relevant, and ambitious pursuits of this present world-order.
Just listen to 1st Corinthians 15:33…“Be not deceived, evil communications corrupt good manners (behavior).”
.
As this above verse reveals, it is Satan’s objective to deceive people into thinking that evil communications have little or no effect on the character of people.
.
But this and other similar Bible passages say just the opposite!
But Satan uses “evil communications” to eat away at the faith of Christians.
.
For example, when children are assaulted every day with atheistic and perverted philosophies, they are gradually and imperceptibly indoctrinated by those daily assaults.
.
And this explains to a great degree why so many young adults eventually cast away their Christian upbringing, and instead embrace secularism.
.
After all, Satan is no dummy! He fully understands all this!
.
And so, in his cruel hate, the Enemy of Souls has forced society to send their children through the public-school systems for the very purpose of indoctrinating them!
But deception goes even deeper! Yes, there are even more subtle ways in which Satan indoctrinates viewers.
.
Take for instance the average TV show.
.
Over and over, these shows (both factual and fictional) have the over-arching message about relying on human strength, human intelligence, and money, as the means of accomplishing a desired achievement.
.
These shows completely ignore the power of faith in the great and precious promises found in the Bible!
“BEWARE OF THE LEAVEN OF THE…SADDUCEES” (UNBELIEF)
Matthew 16:6, 11
.
And we who expose ourselves to these faithless ways, will eventually lose our trust in God’s sovereignty and ability to govern over human affairs.
.
And so, in light of these faith-killing television, radio, and Internet programs, it becomes necessary to begin to beg and plead for deliverance from such pernicious habits.
.
Yes, for those of us who have allowed ourselves to fall into such soul-addicting habits, we can expect a struggle to overcome those habits
Perhaps at the end of each day, maybe while lying down in bed (and all through the day), we need to spend much time thinking back on how we might have overcome that big or little attack by the Devil.
.
Just what “exceeding great and precious promises” could have been employed, which would have given us the victory over the temptations which assailed us in our daily warfare?
.
Constant learning and hiding of the many Bible promises into our hearts is a critically important part of our daily walk in the Lord!

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.

And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).

So, we have this 7/10 numbering.

Those who long ago sailed to this fledging nation, exhausted from the centuries of religious/civil tyranny in Europe, began what they thought was to be a Christian nation!

Yes, America was the beginning of a great experiment in freedom of political/religious speech as well as liberty of conscience!

And God mercifully gave this nation an incredible constitution: a wonderful gift given by the Almighty, because of cruel tyranny He allowed…

…oppression by the harsh hand of Satan, throughout the various European nations during the centuries of The Dark Ages.

And the forefathers of this new nation eventually named it, “The United States of America”.
But while God’s people were hoping to find a place of refuge from the wickedness they left behind, Satan was already bringing his own people across the waters: secularists, and pseudo-Christians.

And it didn’t take long before he had already stirred up trouble in this young nation: slavery, wars with native Americans, and religious persecution had soon become the order of the day.

But the strong, God-given constitution finally prevailed, ending religious persecution.
.
And the following decades saw the eventual demise of racism.
.
Oh no, not that this world could ever be perfect!
.
No, but eventually both Native Americans and Black Americans gradually rose in stature, even becoming leaders in their communities, and some even world leaders!

This was truly a remarkable accomplishment, thanks be to our Constitution!
And because the Bible prophesied that this False Prophet had “two horns as a lamb”, Satan knew he must give this deceiving beast two horns of power like the Lamb of God: Compassion & Morality.

Yes, just as Jesus is the very essence of mercy & truth, righteousness & peace, Satan would give this False Prophet those very same qualities…yet without the true power of God’s Holy Spirit.
“And he (the 2nd Beast) causeth all…that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark…of the beast…”

And so, as we now sadly witness this nation become deeply divided, we begin to understand why.

This False Prophet was prophesied to begin persecution once again.

And just like the first Beast of Revelation, this second Beast would eventually choke off the true and unvarnished Gospel from being preached.

And those who refused to conform their characters into the image of Satan’s present-day antichrist world-system would likewise suffer persecution, even death!

So, what we are now seeing is a False Prophet Beast with two horns, The DIVIDED States of America!
Now, at this point, someone would asked the obvious question: “If these two political powers are both horns on the same beast, why in the world are they so hateful against one-another!?”

Well, do mercy and justice go together in the natural world?

Absolutely not! But even further, as the justice/morality side of society witnesses all the current-day abominations being introduced by the so-called “party of compassion”, it causes even deeper division between these two groups!

And so, without going into a lengthy discussion, let’s just say that of all the 7 heads of Antichrist, the head which most closely aligns with atheism would logically be the 6th head.

And why the 6th head? The Book of Revelation, Chapter 13 warns that the Antichrist Beast has a number of 666.

And it describes this number as being the “number of a man”.
.
The number “6” in Scripture has to do with “Man”.
.
It is a number which reminds of the 6th Day of Creation; the day that Man was created.
.
Man was created on the 6th day.
.
And so, Mankind is very much connected with the number “6”.
.
And since atheism is the religion which holds Mankind as the supreme ruler of Earth, then the number “6”, being the number of Man, seems to correspond to the 6th head of Antichrist, very well.

Now these ideas may not be “written in stone”, as the saying goes.

And nothing hinges upon, nor falls apart, with or without these theories.
.
But sufficed to say, there is strong evidence that these concepts have biblical support.

And so, this 6th star in the Revelation 12 Dragon’s wave of water, would correspond to the 6th head of the Antichrist Beast.

And as already said, “waves” in Scripture, represent the many false ideologies which Satan has flooded the world with, throughout time.

This above parable which Jesus told, has great spiritual implications for many Jews, for the Church, and even for the individual Christian.
.
And it has been an encouragement for many lost souls who likewise spent their past lives in rebellion against Heaven and against Heaven’s Jesus!
.
When reading the entire parable, it actually is the story of redemption.
.
In other words, the wayward son ended up broke, homeless, and hungry, and this young man “would eat what the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.” Luke 15:16
Well, this little story ends with the wayward son returning back to his father in repentance.
.
But instead of responding with scorn and punishment, the father said…
…”Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him;
and put a ring on his hand,
and shoes on his feet:
And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it;
and let us eat, and be merry:
For this My son was dead, and is alive again;
he was lost, and is found.
And they began to be merry.”

Yes, there have been many sinners who felt too wretched and sinful to think that God might forgive them, but who took heart by this extremely encouraging parable!

And they too, returned to God and found full forgiveness and restoration!
Yes, the Bible probably has implications far beyond what we might now realize!

For example, if we look at the United States, we see a nation built by leather-tough pioneers and brave, self-sacrificing soldiers…

…Men and women who put their lives on the line to establish and preserve a God-given nation, dedicated to “freedom of religious/political speech and liberty of conscience”.
“But they that will be rich fall into…into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.”
1st Timothy 6:9

But as the decades progressed, this nation became extremely prosperous via the produce and natural resources of the earth, combined with many marvelous innovations!

However, to a great degree, this current generation are much like pampered children who grow up in a rich man’s house.

Many of us just do not appreciate our heritage, nor the vast riches we have inherited.
.
To a great degree, we didn’t have to work for what we have.
.
It was left to us by our forefathers.
.
And as a result of our ingratitude, we now treat this great experiment in free speech and liberty of conscience, called “The United States” as carelessly as the proverbial “bull in a china-shop”!

And let’s not forget how that bankrupt young man in the parable eventually became a servant and companion of swine!

Well, maybe we won’t literally end up in the swine trough.

Remember John Bunyan’s allegorical Tale, Pilgrim’s Progress?

Remember how the pilgrim escaped The City of Destruction?

That’s right! He began his pilgrimage out of that doomed city, onward and upward to The Celestial City!

And it gives his Satanic Majesty no greater pleasure than to see Christians walking across this bridge, back into the world!
And so, “the god of this world” has constructed this bridge back into the world: a bridge which has been built with a lot of seemingly good, even innocent things!

There are places to see…
…resorts to relax at…
…clubs to join…
…sports games to play (or watch)…
…expensive insurance plans to buy…
…dramas to intrigue…
…worldly investments to jump into…
…confederations to pledge-allegiance to…
…operas, concerts and plays and musicals to dress up for…
…newspapers to relax and read…
…or TV news to watch…
…holidays to plan for and celebrate…
…school events to attend, teams to cheer…
…and on and on this list goes!

And the world loves these things!
.
But that’s their prerogative!
.
After all, the world is not on the Narrow Upward Pathway, as Believers are supposed to be climbing.
“Dear Lord, give me wisdom to know where to draw the line between using the things of this world, but not abusing the things of this world (see 1st Corinthians 7:31)
Let my life become a life of purity and holiness, not with pretentious things, but with the quiet warmth of Christ’s Spirit, dwelling within me…

THE ARK IN THE HEAVENS
.
.
If a person goes out at night, beginning in April (earlier in southern-most latitudes, and later in northern-most), in the pre-dawn hour…
.
…then they just might locate the constellation commonly referred to as the Sagittarius Constellation.
.
It is located in the southern sky.
(Each night it appears a little earlier, slowly inching westward, through the summer, until it finally disappears below the western horizon in November.)
.
.
At first, it simply appears as two twin birds flying westward.
.
But if you look once again, it just might appear as a long box-like figure, with one star on the right, as you face it, and two stars on the left.
.
The box, of course would be the Ark, and the stars on either side would represent angels, which are sometimes referred to as stars in the Bible (for instance, “the seven stars are the angels…” Revelation 1:20).
.
To the right is a star-chart from Wikipedia, in which the editor of this site has sketched in this Sagittarius Constellation, to show how God created it to appear.
But then, as this wonderful story unfolds, his three “miserable comforters” Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar each engaged in a very long dialogue with Job…
.
…each “friend” taking turns pointing their accusing finger of all sorts of sins as being the cause for God’s curse to come upon Job.
.
And then, after this long diatribe concluded, Elihu, the young man who patiently waited until the three “friends” had finished accusing Job, began to speak.
.
The next few chapters contain Elihu’s correct assessment of Job: inward sin which God was attempting to reveal to Job.
And so, God allowed the Devil to send those fiery trials upon Job, to cleanse out the hidden sins of pride, anger, self-righteousness, and self-pity from Job’s heart.

Just listen to Job’s very own words…“But He (God) knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10
.
Here is revealed that it was God’s intention to allow Job’s fiery trials to ultimately root out these inner sins, which nobody knew about except God, “the Searcher of hearts”.
But at the end of Job’s trials, Job had been successfully cleansed, causing Job to humbly confess before God…

Yes, Job now fully understood that his fiery trials were brought upon him by God Himself, for the purpose of exposing Job’s sins to his own self.

And Job finally realized how great and wonderful that God is, and what an unrighteous sinner that he (Job) actually was.

But Job finally emerged out of his trials humbled and cleansed. And God blessed Job with long life and twice as much as he had prior to his trials!

FIVE WISE VIRGINS STARS
.
This constellation was identified on May 22nd, 2014. It is simply five stars, two from the Serpens Constellation, and three from the Hercules Constellation.
.
What gives this constellation impetus and significance is that it appears as five evenly positioned stars, in a slight oval pattern, as if they were sitting in a meeting, listening, or perhaps watching someone.
.
Second, they appear to be gathered in front of The Crown of Revelation 12 Constellation. (just below Corona Borealis in this Wikipedia star-chart, in which the editor of this site sketched in these two constellations)
The position of these stars is significant in a number of ways.
.
The first, being that these Five Wise Virgins are gathered around the 12-star Crown of Revelation 12.
.
And the obvious message here is, that these wise virgins represent the faithful portion of God’s Church.
.
And as wise virgins (spiritually speaking), they understand the importance of winning the glorious crown of victory, which Jesus promised.
.
Listen…“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all,
but one receives the prize?
So run, that ye may obtain.
And every man that strives for the mastery is temperate in all things.
Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown;
but we, an incorruptible.”
1st Corinthians 9:24, 25.

And so, God is showing us the difference between the wise and the foolish in His Church. While the wise are gathered around this crown of victory, the foolish are nowhere to be found.

Judy Garland starred in one of Hollywood’s greatest movies (“greatest” by this world’s standards).
.
And what movie was that?
.
The Wizard of Oz, of course!
.
Well, those familiar with John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress understand that the Wizard of Oz was merely the secular world’s version of Bunyan’s masterpiece tale.
And the lovely, fresh-faced young lady, Judy Garland, captured the hearts of millions of movie-goers, as she looked dreamily up into the sky, and sang that beautiful song in that magical movie.
.
Well, the gist of that movie was that after her adventure in the land of Oz, she finally realized that her home which she left, was, well, to put it in her own words…“There’s no place like home!”
Because in real life, that beautiful young girl, who played Dorothy of Kansas, quickly grew up in this dark and evil world, only to become hopelessly hooked on drugs.
.
And her life began a downward spiral until finally, she tragically died at the young age of 47.
.
Her fresh-faced beauty fell away like that proverbial flower of the field.
.
Obviously, Judy never found that magical place somewhere over the rainbow, where dreams come true.
.
Just the opposite! She literally went through a living Hell-on-Earth with her drug addiction!
.
Maybe, instead of “There’s no place like home” she should have rather sang, “There’s no place like this Hell-on-Earth I’m going through!”
And truth-be-told, the heart-breaking story of Judy Garland is an all too familiar tale in this sad and tragic world.
.
Yes, a great percentage of people likewise become slaves to drugs and alcohol.
.
And many of them also die an early death.
.
Others suffer from various maladies.
.
A great percentage of the world’s populace go through horrible circumstances of one type or another: divorce, disease, mental problems, crime, rape, war, loss of loved-ones, old age, kidnapping, loneliness, financial problems, loss of job, and a host of similar personal tragedies.
.
And even those who seem to live a charmed life, eventually suffer and die…a hopeless death!
But there is Good News, even in this hopeless and tragic world!
.
The fact is, there is a place “somewhere over the rainbow”, where dreams actually do come true!
.
Listen to how the Bible describes this Promised Land…
…”And I saw a new heaven and a new Earth:
for the first heaven and the first Earth were passed away…
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow,
nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.”
Revelation 21:1, 4

Yes, this above verse speaks of a land which the Bible alludes to as, “The Promised Land”.
.
And all those who decidedly followed Jesus out of this sad and hopeless world, will all be there in that wonderful and beautiful land!
.
And all are invited to join this mass end-time exodus out of this dark and tragically hopeless world to that land where we will be forever happy and forever young!

THE FLOWER OF THE FIELD CONSTELLATION
.
This is perhaps one of the most amazing constellations that God has created!
.
It truly looks like a flower, and appears to be blowing in the direction of westward.
.
But as autumn draws near, this constellation appears to bow itself down, just like the flowers of Earth bow down, at the summer’s end.
.
And these are not merely obscure stars! No! These are among the biggest and brightest stars in the night heavens!
.
The Two Turtle-Doves Constellation is also known as Sagittarius .
.
The Flower of the Field is commonly known as Scorpio.
.
But there is another obvious aspect to this constellation group.
.
Notice that the birds are flying in the same direction as the flower is bending; it is as if the east wind is blowing these heavenly messengers…
.
“The wind blows where it desires, and you hear the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:8.
.
So here is another incredible Bible concept, written in the heavens! And God has spoken of these signs!

Listen… “For ever, O LORD, Thy Word is settled in heaven.” Psalm 119:89

WHY IS THIS FLOWER POINTING UPWARD?
.
Do you see the long blade of grass growing from the base of the Flower of the Field?
.
This grass blade is made of the two highest stars of the Lupus Constellation, and the two lowest stars of the Libra Constellation.
.
As this Wikipedia star-chart shows, the flower appears to be pointing to Arcturus and the Revelation 12 Woman(shown in sketch below).
.
Arcturus represents Jesus, as He leads His sons (and daughters) on a spiritual journey up a heavenward pathway, as is written…“Canst you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons?” Job 38:32.
A certain Christian was going through cancer treatment, and well, was questioning why God was putting him through all this.
.
“Why do I have to wear all these tubes? Why has God allowed me to go through all this pain and suffering?” These were just two of the many questions this man was asking.
.
And so, his “pity-party” went forward, day-by-day.
.
Well, one day while listening to a radio talk show, his ears perked up to an Australian voice that belonged to a man who was born with no arms and virtually no legs, except for a small stub.
.
After listening to this man’s amazing testimony about his life, this cancer patient went online to watch one of his videos.
.
Well, needless to say, this Australian man grew up under these incredibly difficult circumstances. But one day this young man was converted to Christianity.
.
And from that new relationship with the Lord, his life began to change…for the better!
.
And now this man (still in his 30’s) goes to various schools and auditoriums to talk to young and old alike about such themes as bullying as well as Christianity (Of course, it is in his talks at schools in which he mostly speaks against bullying, and instead encourages love and kindness to one-another.)
.
But what really affected this cancer patient is how well this disabled man has adjusted to his almost unbelievably adverse circumstances!
.
It is amazing to hear his upbeat and hopeful message!
.
He makes them laugh, and he makes them cry, inspiring them to be kind and loving to all!
.
Well, of course, any Christian knows, or at least should know that it is God working through this man that gives him the ability to go on and do what he does!
.
And when he speaks, his audience is absolutely spell-bound! They hear every single word he says!
.
And after he’s finished, the subject of bullying is now a dead issue in the minds of his hearers.
.
With tears streaming from their eyes, they file past this man, Nick Vujicic, and one-by-one hug him as they leave the auditorium.
.
Well, needless to say, that cancer patient felt really petty for being angry with God.
.
After all, just look how mightily the Lord is using Nick to spread the Word of faith and courage to the world!
.
Just look how God has blessed Nick with a wonderful wife and children!
.
Just look at all the many amazing talents that Nick possesses!
.
Yes, God “dealt to Nick a very tough hand of cards to play with”, as the saying goes!
.
But God has turned Nick’s very tragic life into an incredible ministry and a wonderful inspiration and encouragement to all who are going through various types of pain and suffering!
.
But beware! Nick is the last guy you want to see showing up at your very own pity-party!

. I didn’t understand all that Ephesians 6 was talking about…“What does it mean to put on ‘the breast plate of righteousness'”?

This was very puzzling to me…“How does a person just put something like that on?”This was a concept above my comprehension.
. “And how does a person ‘put on the helmet of salvation'”, I thought to myself…“especially while Satan is condemning and accusing every moment?”
. “And how do you put on the shoes, with the gospel of peace’?” I couldn’t understand these concepts. I was too new in the faith.
. ONE CONCEPT THAT DID MAKE SENSE…

But there was one thing I could understand. I knew what it meant to take the “sword of the spirit, which is the word of God”. Now that I got! Read the Bible! That’s a simple concept! Yeah!

But we cannot seem to see that the supposed “win-win” deals are actually “lose-lose” deals when we step back and look at them from a long-term vantage point.
Well, God has given us a great sign in the night-heavens. It is called the “Flower of the Field Constellation”. It was formerly known as Scorpio (plus a few stars from neighboring constellations).

The recent past has witnessed a firestorm of hatefully shouting, angry threats, vehicles damaged/destroyed, buildings firebombed, citizens and law-enforcement violently attacked, etc…
But why does it usually seem like the bulk of all this violence and hate comes via one political group?

As one looks to the south, a great constellation commonly referred to as Scorpio, begins to appear in early spring.

But God purposely created this constellation to look like a giant flower.

Yes, in the springtime, when flowers of the earth begin to appear, so does this great “Flower of the Field Constellation”!

And if this is not amazing enough, as spring turns to summer and summer turns to fall, this great flower appears to bow down, even as earthly flowers begin to bow down and eventually wilt and die.

Likewise, as time races by, we too eventually bow down, wither, and finally return to the earth.
Isn’t it amazing to watch an old television show or movie and see glamorous “movie stars” start out with fresh and beautiful faces?

But as we see more recent movies of these same actors, they begin to appear more haggard and worn!

Yes, it was not until about the twentieth century that the movie camera was able to record the progressive downturn of once lovely, once handsome superstars!

And like never before, people can see how temporal and fleeting that our lives really are!

Well, the very Good News in all this negativity is that we don’t have to accept the same fate as the little flower of the field!

No, for God has created another flower constellation, known as the “Flower of Heaven Constellation”!
.
This is made up of several constellations, and appears at the end of winter, as the Signs Of Heaven story ends.
.
And this constellation has attached itself to the “Altar Constellation” and represents all those who are redeemed from this dying planet!
.
Yes, even though we start out as the fading Flower of the Field, we can hitch a ride, so to speak, on the Altar of Heaven, the very same altar where the Lamb of God was once sacrificed on our behalf!

And by so-doing, we will become like a Flower of Heaven where the roses never fade, but will bloom for all eternity in that beautiful Promised Land, a land overflowing with milk and honey!

This is perhaps one of the most amazing constellations that God has created!

It truly looks like a flower, and appears to be blowing in the direction of westward.

But as autumn draws near, this constellation appears to bow itself down, just like the flowers of Earth bow down, at the summer’s end.

And these are not merely obscure stars! No! These are among the biggest and brightest stars in the night heavens!

The Two Turtle-Doves Constellation is also known as Sagittarius.

The Flower of the Field is commonly known as Scorpio.

But there is another obvious aspect to this constellation group.

Notice that the birds are flying in the same direction as the flower is bending; it is as if the east wind is blowing these heavenly messengers…

Do you see the long blade of grass growing from the base of the Flower of the Field?

A certain Internet news organization has dubbed the CEOs of the major search engines and social web-giants as “Masters of the Universe”, because of their vast power to control so much of the world’s freedom of speech.

Yes, once these companies were finally allowed (by paying off corrupt politicians) to achieve almost total monopolistic control of the Internet, they decided it was safe for them to become self-appointed “thought police”.

And to be honest, they can now custom-censor what each individual can or cannot listen to!
Now of course, in this day and age, society cannot come right out and ban freedom of speech. At least, not yet in this country.

No, but rather, Satan has craftily worked in the shadows to enact seemingly “good” laws which supposedly, “help people out”, by banning any speech they deem, “harmful” or offensive in some way.
THE WORLD “FRAMES MISCHIEF” BY ENACTING UNJUST LAWS

Here is a prophecy which is just now finding its grand fulfillment, as society begins to enact unjust laws and social maxims, which will ultimately be used to silence the true Gospel!
But the fact is, it is not the CEO’s who are doing all this mischief on the Internet.

No, but rather, that old serpent, the Devil, is the actual “Master of this Antichrist World” who is cutting off the true Gospel.

And the only gospels which might be allowed to continue to be preached will probably be those who preach only soft and non-offensive and worldly sentiments!

The worldly-minded prosperity gospels!

Here above, is revealed that our struggle is not against mere humans.
Well, the Good News in all this bad report is, that even though it becomes more and more difficult to preach the true Gospel, the Lord will not be hindered in His purpose for His people!

And, truth-be-told, as the horrible state of affairs in the world continues to grow worse and worse, it’s getting harder and harder to look down at this poor sick planet.
In this busy work-a-day world, there are many very interesting things which can occupy one’s time and energy: hobbies, and careers, and entertainments and worries, and habits, to name just a few.

But having said this, there is one hobby which every ‘Noble Berean’ may take up, which only compliments the pursuit of the heavenly Prize.
.
Yes, Signs Of Heaven becomes a wonderfully rewarding hobby which, unlike many less meaningful hobbies, pays off with rich, heavenly rewards. Everlasting rewards!

And unlike the person in this photo with equipment, all you need is fairly good vision, and a dark, starry night.
.
And once a person really gets to know these heavenly messengers, it will become very apparent that the message connected with these signs is truly a message to be heeded.
.
Thus will the Christian be able to share this message with others. And there are perhaps many nuances and hidden biblical truths to these signs which have yet to be discovered.
The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper).

These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (7 Stars).
.
And just as these are the easiest constellations to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).
.
These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

Okay, so by examining that story of Jacob wrestling with the angel of the Lord, there can be seen a great picture of just what we must endure in the coming trial before us.

until THE BREAKING OF THE DAY…
And he said, Let me go, for the DAY BREAKETH.
And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

and hast prevailed.”

Jacob represents all Christians who must wrestle through this coming “Time of Jacob’s Trouble”.
“Dear Lord, Give me grace to fully engage in this battle over self! Complete Thy work of grace within me, that I may fully reflect the life of Jesus in my own life…
This above passage from Revelation 7, concerning the four winds, is generally not understood by the vast majority of today’s theologians and Bible teachers.
.
Well, for one thing, most evangelicals have been told that they will be “Raptured” away from earth prior to the unfolding of Revelation.
.
And of course, none of us fully understand all that the four winds represent, since we only, “know in part and prophesy in part”. (1st Corinthians 13:9)
.
Nevertheless, there are some biblical insights that can be offered.
All through the growing process, the precious wheat kernel was held safely in its housing, until the time of harvest.
.
But at harvest time, the wheat kernel must be separated from its housing.
.
And so, when the strong winds begin to blow, a process known as winnowing is implemented by the farmer.
.
In this process, the wheat is tossed into the windy air, and the wheat is separated, all because the lighter chaff is carried away with the wind, while the weightier kernels fall to the ground.
In God’s infinite wisdom, He has created all these things to teach an object lesson about the great harvest which is just now beginning.
.
Yes, just as those precious kernels of wheat must finally be separated from the chaff, so also, God’s people must likewise go through a very similar separation process.
And so, it should be no surprise that all around us, we will sadly watch our housing fall away.
.
Yes, the various churches and denominations will be carried away by every wind of false doctrines.
.
And even now, the church-world is filled with false teachers, who are mingling the truth with many false doctrines, leading multitudes into error and confusion!
.
But the end result will be a separated, but a purified Church.
.
Our housing will have all been blown away by all the false doctrines which the apostate portion of the Church has clung to and refuses to let go of.
.
And all those who refused to separate from the housing, will be blown away in those winds of strife and confusion!
.
It reminds us of the following verse….
…”A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand;
[but] it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold
and see the reward of the wicked.”
Psalm 91:7, 8

But the glorious aspect to all this is, that God will have finally purified His Church from all defilement.
.
And like a mighty army, God’s true Church will stand as a witness to all the onlooking world!
But the long oval-shaped body has relatively few stars, but can been seen, howbeit with a dark starry night.
.
The four stars of the front fins are made partially of Taurus.
.
This Dragon constellation appears in the eastern horizon about mid-summer in the pre-dawn hours, spewing his flood-waters northward toward the Woman of Revelation 12 (Woman in Travail).
.
The Wave of Water is primarily composed of the Constellation Auriga. The are two more less bright stars which are closest to the Dragon’s mouth.
.
These two dimmer stars are also part of this Wave of Water.

And so, as we look out upon the political/social/religious landscape, we can actually see a great and powerful entity, especially visible in the United States.

And this entity fulfills the Revelation 13 prophecy concerning the 2nd Beast, with two horns 1. “compassion (left horn) & 2. justice (right horn)”…
.
…but also, the 6th and 7th heads of the 1st Beast (6th head: “Atheism” & 7th head: “Apostate Protestantism”).
Well, it is very amazing that the political power which aligns with atheism/false-compassion is seemingly so much more dominant and powerful than the political power which aligns with Apostate-Protestantism/morality.

At least, this is the case in the western nations.

And this Left-Horn political dominance is not just in this nation.
.
But rather, leftist authoritarianism is now taking control of various nations of the world!

And it seems like there’s nothing to stop this “great reset” by the left-horn/6th-head of these Revelation 13 Antichrist Beasts.

But we cannot forget that Lucifer, now titled, “the god of this world” is like a side-winding snake, never traveling in a straight line. (See 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

Yes, if it serves his purpose, he can shift this culture to give the right horn/7th-head the dominant position of power, even for a short time.

And there could possibly be a backlash to all the current-day insanity by the left, causing the populace to wake up and revolt, giving the right horn new strength to prevail over the Left.

And so, it would not be wise to become too dogmatic about the details of the future.
Now, having said all this, we remember that God must expose the wickedness of Satan’s kingdom.

And since God has already exposed the wickedness of the first five heads…
.
…it only makes sense that He will also expose the wickedness of the 6th head (atheism/socialism/etc.).

And if this is the case, then eventually the world’s citizens may be ready to reject the 6th-head/left-horn and move on to the next head, the 7th-head/right-horn.

Well, the Good News is, that God is giving us a wake-up call like none other in history!

And those who are wise should not waste any time to make decided preparations to stand during the coming crisis which now seems to be rising up, all around us!

But there is still time for any man, woman, or child to begin the upward sojourn out of this “city of destruction” world, as we make our spiritual trek to that heavenly Promised Land.

And it is a good land in which we will live happily ever-after!

When God created the Moon and the stars, He ordained them to “rule the night” (Genesis 1:16).
.
The Moon, especially when it is full, can light your pathway through the night, as it reflects the light of the Sun.
.
So too, the Christian is to be a light to the world: to this sin-darkened world.
.
But as the Moon must reflect the light of the Sun, in order to be a light to the world, so also must the Christian reflect the light of Jesus, to be a spiritual light to this planet in rebellion.

However, during an eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, preventing that sunlight from shining on the Moon’s face.

This is an incredible object-lesson about when the child of God allows the world to come between him and his Lord.
.
Like the eclipse, that person no longer reflects the light of Jesus, because his or her love of this dark world of sin has eclipsed the light from the“Sun of Righteousness” (see Malachi 4:2).

Yes, as this above verse reveals, the world’s destruction is coming “as travail upon a woman with child…”.

And as most people understand, when a woman goes into birth pangs, these painful contractions begin to get closer and closer together in time until they are in rapid succession, causing the childbirth to finally come.
.
And isn’t it true that the troubles coming on this world have seemed like birth pangs?
.
Just a few years ago, troubles came and went.
.
But today, it seems like troubles are now happening in rapid succession, much like labor pains just prior to birth!
As a matter of fact, this concept of a woman in labor pains is actually inscribed in the very night sky!
.
You see, in the spring, if you look to the north, the constellation commonly known as Ursa major actually looks like a headless woman who is with child.
And yet, as summer turns to fall, and fall turns to winter, this constellation slowly rotates until it is upside-down, now appearing as a running woman with upraised arms.
.
And she is no longer headless, since that single star in her womb now symbolizes her head, and represents Christ, who now is “the head of the body, the Church!” Colossians 1:18
And when we consider all these current events, and how accurately the Bible foretold that they would happen in the last days, it’s further proof that the Bible is the infallible Word of Almighty God.

This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ).

However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen.

It is actually a headless woman in childbirth.

This is seen in springtime in the northern skies.

Today’s signature passage from 2nd Corinthians lays out this basic concept of the difference between how the world fights and how Christians must learn to fight…
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

Here above, God lays out, through Paul, a vastly different manner of fighting the battles which come upon us daily.

It’s so unlike the way that this world conducts themselves, that it’s no wonder we put Jesus on the Cross!

After all, He totally condemned our faithless ways: the self-trusting ways of fallen humanity in this antichrist world-system!

But Jesus came to show us the ways of faith.

Yes, by putting His complete trust in His heavenly Father, Jesus gave us the pattern for living by faith in the great and precious promises found throughout Scripture.

He confidently realized that all of His necessities would be supplied by His Father “in due season”. Galatians 6:9

And that confidence allowed Him to go through His life here on earth in perfect peace, never striving, never grabbing, never manipulating, never forcing others to do according to His own will.

If there was any striving in His life it was in prayer, patiently waiting in faith.

And so, as followers of Jesus, we have our work cut out for us.

We must hide all those “exceeding great and precious promises” in our hearts, so that we might live by them…

And so now we are amazed to discover that beyond the awesome grandeur of the starry night-heavens, God has actually written the Love of God in the heavenly scroll.
Orion Constellation can best be seen all winter (but even in August in the pre-dawn hours of morning in eastern skies) traveling east to west through the night, in mid-sky.

To find the seven major stars of Orion (one star on each shoulder and one star on each foot, plus the three stars which make his belt), you can locate on just about any clear night regardless of the blackness of the night.

To find Orion’s other stars, you need more star-visibility…a darker, moonless night, and possibly away from city lights.

It’s so tragic that the citizens of this fallen world do not understand nor appreciate the God-given joy which Christians supernaturally experience in such things as Bible study, prayer, Christian fellowship, and partaking of Christ’s agape love for the unsaved world.
.
But the Christian, through the indwelling of God’s Spirit of holiness, is infilled with a love for heavenly things which he or she once had no love, nor stomach for!
“…commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah…”
Psalm 4:4
.
But today’s devotional will direct its focus on prayer.
.
And not just prayer, but praying while waiting for sleep.
.
Yes, it is a real privilege and a true joy to just lie in bed and simply reach out to our heavenly Father in heartfelt prayer!
.
And for those who have trouble sleeping for one reason or another, prayer while lying in bed can be an even greater joy!
(or perhaps, to listen to a nice soft audio version of Psalms may be a great way for many of us to fall asleep, and then wake again to the Psalms, and then, to fall back asleep again! And with today’s technology, the listener might be able to slow down the speed of the audio-reader, to more fully grasp what is being read!)
.
And let’s face it! It’s not very pleasant to just lie in bed, hour after hour, not being able to fall asleep.
.
But to use one’s sleepless hours in prayer can really greatly alleviate much of the torment that sleeplessness can inflict upon a person!
.
Well, this is the simple little truth that today’s devotional would like to make.
“Dear Lord, Give me the grace to rise to the responsibilities of being a royal priest. Give me the grace to pray without ceasing, no matter where I am. Give me the joy in ministering in Thy Tabernacle, as a faithful member of your royal priesthood…
“And thou shalt put the Mercy Seat upon the Ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.” Exodus 26:34
.
The Tabernacle in the wilderness was a picture of God. Just listen to Revelation…“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Revelation 21:22.
.
So, instead of dwelling upon all the fine points of the earthly tabernacle, let it suffice to be said, this earthly tabernacle is merely a metaphor of God Himself.
.
And the Most Holy Place is the heart of that temple, and upon the Ark, represents God’s throne, as is written…
.
“And David arose…to bring up from thence, the ark of God…the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims.” 2nd Samuel 6:2.
.
So, if, as it states here, that God dwells “between the cherubims”, then this is speaking of the Mercy Seat over the Ark.
.
But even though it speaks thus, we need to keep in mind that the temple itself, represents God Himself, as is written… “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Revelation 21:22.
So, these two events go hand in hand simultaneously.

Who would have ever imagined that God had long ago placed the starry constellations in such a precise way, that they would become a heavenly portrait of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

It’s such an incredible idea, that those who do finally discover and confirm these signs for his or her own self, they will no doubt continually marvel at this heavenly gift right up to the time when Christ appears in the clouds of glory!

“WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM!”
(A currently popular saying)

But in addition to the sheer wonder of it all, these starry signs give God’s people confidence that the Way in which He is now wanting them to go, has been clearly marked out by these heavenly signposts!
.
Yes, just as that star long ago guided the wise men from the East to afore-promised Messiah, these “signs in the Sun, Moon, and stars” are now guiding wise men today, to the long-awaited Return of the Son of Man! (see Luke 21:25)
.
And so, that first star, 2,000 years ago, was a forerunner of Arcturus, as this great star now guides its sons (and daughters) in these last moments.
Listen as God Himself asks this question…“or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?” Job 38:32
.
This little prophecy, tucked way back into that Book of Job, is now being fulfilled as we behold that very bright star, Arcturus, seemingly leading these great constellations on a northward sojourn through the dark night sky.

THE WALK TO EMMAUS
.
But today’s devotional is concerned with two disciples who carried on a sad and woeful pilgrimage to the little town of Emmaus.
.
Yes, their Lord had been crucified, and they still hadn’t embraced the Good News of His resurrection.
“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.”
Luke 24:27
.
But as they walked along, a Stranger began to walk alongside with them saying, “What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?” Luke 24:17
.
Well, you probably know the rest of the story, how Jesus (Whom they did not recognize at that moment) began to expound the scriptures to them, showing that the Old Testament was all about Jesus and His wonderful Salvation, and of His crucifixion and resurrection.
“…Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:20
.
Well, isn’t it true that so many of these historical accounts found in the Gospels reveal how Jesus patiently and lovingly deals with Believers throughout the New Testament era in their everyday lives!
.
And this story is no exception!
.
Yes, even today, as we go through our daily routines and duties, the Lord invisibly walks beside us, and helps us to remember various aspects of the Gospel: sometimes bringing back verses to our memory, and other times, relating various Bible truths to our everyday dealings in life.
The point is, we Christians need to make room in our lives for Jesus to walk with us, via His Holy Spirit.
.
In other words, we must not fill our day with so many pleasures and cares that Christ is squeezed out of our thoughts!
.
Listen…“And take heed to yourselves,
lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting,
and drunkenness,
and cares of this life,
and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always,
that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man.”
Luke 21:34-36

As this above passage warns, the fearful day that is coming, is going to be a snare for our souls.

And right now, while there is still time, we must make room for Jesus to walk beside us through our day, keeping our prayerful thoughts fixed upon heavenly things!
An easy way to find Arcturus is to follow the arc of the handle of the Big Dipper, in the spring through fall (these are the months in which Arcturus is visible).
.
These Summer Constellations span the heavens (Ark in south, 7 Stars in north), and travel from east to west through the night.

Alexander Hislop, a 19th-Century Gospel minister, made a compelling case in his renowned (and much despised and maligned) book, The Two Babylons.

Hislop went step-by-step, showing that the various customs, practices, doctrines, and holidays of the Romish religion were actually originated in ancient Babylon and other neighboring pagan cultures.
But the real problem comes in when church leaders and theologians concoct and canonize a new day of worship without any biblical authority.

And let’s face it! The Bible has been written by God to be an inerrant, infallible legal document.

But when mere erring humans begin to make church doctrines based on faulty and incomplete scriptural interpretation, they break that sacred covenant.

In other words, this new sabbath day requires its adherents to make conclusions of its sacredness based on assumption and presumption rather than on a plain, “Thus saith the Lord”.

They must take a theological leap across all biblical prudence in order to justify that day.
.
We cannot just concoct a new holy day from midnight to midnight on the 1st day of the week using sola-scriptura, “The Bible only”! It’s just not there!
.

A THEOLOGICAL LEAP TO ASSUME CHRIST’S RESURRECTION JUSTIFIES A NEW SANCTIFIED DAY OF WORSHIP.

And yes, Jesus was resurrected on the 1st Day of the week.
.
But that in itself does not validate nor condone any concocting of a new sabbath, or a new sanctified day of church gathering to worship.
.
And oh yes, as already said, the Church could have met on this or any other day of the week and hopefully on all seven days!
.
But for the most part, they didn’t.
.
And yet, in the Book of Acts, we see that the early Church did indeed meet every day of the week, as is written…“And they (Jesus’ followers), continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house” Acts 2:46

But as Alexander Hislop painstakingly laid out in his book, The Two Babylons, the current-day church world is following its ‘Mother Church’, which has her roots deeply embedded in ancient Babylonian/pagan festivals, traditions, and doctrines.

Yes, Sunday worship is actually a weekly pagan celebration once known as “The Venerable Day of the Sun”, which Emperor Constantine, an avowed Sun worshiper, incorporated into the Christian religion…

…in attempt to make Christianity more acceptable, not only to himself, but to the sun-worshiping pagan world, as well.

And so, he brought this and several other Babylonian holidays into the Christian world, giving them a thin Christian veneer: Easter (the resurrection of Tammuz, spoken of in Ezekiel 8:14) and Christmas (Saturnalia).

And considering all the other various unbiblical and Babylonian-based customs and holidays which the current-day church now celebrates, it should make it abundantly clear that the churches have become assimilated into this present-day Babylonian world.
As you can see in this sketch below, The Dragon of Revelation 12 is spewing out his water of falsehoods: false gospels, false ideologies, various temptations, false brethren who will embrace her with the poisonous wine of the The Great Harlot of Babylon.

For those of us who grew up on stories like Robin Hood, the carefree renegade life of Robin and his ‘merry band of marauders’, has held a special place in our hearts!

After all, what could hold a greater magical fascination than to live in those enchanting days, eating and drinking and laughing and joking while taking from the rich and giving to the poor?
.
What a carefree life they must have lived, above the law of the land and beyond its reach!
ROBIN HOOD: CHEAP IMITATION OF JESUS & HIS FOLLOWERS
.
Now just what does that quaint and charming book (and movies), Robin Hood, have to do with Satan, “the god of this world”?
.
Well, Christians are not to be “ignorant of his devices”, as 2nd Corinthians 2:11 admonishes us!
.
We are to be savvy about this world, and not to be the least bit naive or unlearned.
.
Robin Hood is actually a very cleverly written counterfeit of the Bible!
.
Just look at how Jesus led His own disciples about during His earthly ministry.
.
Can’t we see the similarity between these two groups?
.
Yes, just like the mythical character, Santa Clause, is a counterfeit of God, so also, Robin Hood and his followers were created by Satan to take the place of Jesus and His followers!
But the story of Robin Hood is just one of countless counterfeits which the Devil has invented to obscure the truth!
.
There are perhaps thousands or even millions of close counterfeits which Satan has invented over time, or raised up in centuries past, to erase, confuse, or obscure the truth.
.
Well, even some of the great Christian Reformers have had their own testimony almost completely erased by counterfeits bearing their signature!
.
For instance, when the name, Martin Luther is mentioned, most people no longer know who he was!
.
And this is incredible since God dramatically changed the entire course of history through the ministry of Luther.
.
But Satan greatly buried Luther’s accomplishments in the minds of Mankind.
Well, the Good News is that this is still the day in which any and every man, woman, and child can renounce this evil world (in the quietness of their own heart).
.
And those who do throw off Satan’s counterfeit regime, can begin a spiritual sojourn out of this world of confusion and begin to climb the pathway of truth, which leads to life-everlasting!
.
And one day soon, all who did make this end-time exodus will finally enter into the long-awaited Promised Land of joy-unspeakable, which God has waiting for all the Heaven-bound Pilgrims who likewise made that sojourn, throughout history!
He hath caused the arrows of His quiver to enter into my reins.
I was a derision to all my people;
and their song all the day.”

Orion travels through the night skies, starting about late September in the pre-dawn hours.

This 1st office which Orion holds, as an Archer, is fairly easy to see.

His bow is pointed and bent as if ready to shoot his arrows.

But why astronomers have never noticed this Dragon to his left, is truly a puzzle!

In the first installment of “The 7th plague: Cry Uncle!”, the focus was on some of the ways in which God’s judgments are currently being poured out upon the world and upon society.

And yet, there is so much more that is being poured out, that even many secularists, also, have just about had enough!

HYPOCRISY, CHEATING & LIES IN POLITICS
.
Another judgment upon the land is seen in the world of politics!
.
To watch the daily political soap operas, almost takes our breath away to witness all the vitriolic cheating, lies, and hypocrisy!
.
And to behold irresponsible politicians borrowing and squandering trillions of dollars, much of it for wasteful, frivolous projects, knowing it will eventually destroy this nation’s economy is enough to give a stroke to many responsible citizens!
.
Many politicians, when caught in their lies, don’t even seem to blush, but merely continue forward in their dishonesty!
.
A psychoanalyst might diagnose such individuals as being, “Sociopathic”.
.
But the Bible explains it as…“Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” 1st Timothy 4:2
.

.
“JUDGMENT IS TURNED AWAY BACKWARD”
.
And it’s disheartening to see the vast number of inequities in the obvious double-standard hypocrisy being meted out in the courts.
.
It fulfills the verse from Isaiah which prophesied of this very day…
Back in the beginning of “the age of television”, programming was a lot more innocent compared to today! “Father Knows Best”, “Roy Rogers”, and many other similar shows fulfilled the daily line-up of TV programming back in those days.
.
But Satan wasted no time in taking society down the Highway to Hell, until many or most of today’s television programs are morally depraved.
.
Well, this has always been a world of sin and selfishness. There was sin on television even from its very inception!
.
But things are now getting so depraved, that for many elderly folk (and many younger ones too), it’s sad and even repulsive to watch much of the debased and often even lewd programming aired today!
Watching the daily soap-opera of this world’s political/social issues, has become an unbearable situation, to endure all the lies, and double-tongued hypocrisy coming out of the media giants.
.
The blatant double-standard being trumpeted throughout the day by the major media is so “in-your-face”, that it infuriates all those would like to see some sort of honesty, equity, and fairness in the reporting and commentaries of the daily social/political occurrences.
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”
Matthew 24:12
.
And if that’s not bad enough, even the daily news reports are filled with ridiculous decisions and absurd laws enacted by the majority political power!
.
To see images of rioters burning down buildings and cars and beating up people is far too much for any rational person to endure!
.
Of course, God is allowing Satan to speak through the media, “as a dragon”, as foretold in Revelation 13:11.
And it indeed appears that if the current plagues, which Earth’s inhabitants are now suffering, continue to intensify, we just might see the suffering ones finally cry out, “Uncle! We’ve had enough!”
.
Listen to Revelation 16:17-21…
“And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven,
every stone about the weight of a talent:
and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail;
for the plague thereof was exceeding great.”

Yes, it seems as if we are being pelted daily by what we see and hear and endure all around us!

When will our society (or at the very least, the Church) repent and beg for deliverance from this dystopian world: a world in moral/economic/social freefall?

When will we at last cry, “‘Uncle!’ We’ve had enough!”
But the Good News is, that you and I do not have to wait for some mass public-wide repentance to occur!
.
No, there is no better time for an individual, be it man, woman, or child, to begin to cry out for God’s mercy, grace, and deliverance.
.
Oh no, this may not stem the swelling tide of evil around the world.
.
But by perseveringly pleading with God, His grace, mercy, and peace may just come down from above, to stem the tide of evil in the heart of the spiritually hungry soul!
“Dear Lord, I’ve had my fill of this sick and horrible world-system of Satan! I want out! Give me strength to begin my spiritual sojourn out of this world, and onward to that blessed Celestial City of God…

But the horrifying fact is, the Devil does indeed cause the vast percentage of the world’s inhabitants to do a vast number of things!

And this above verse from Ephesians 2:2, 3 reveals that Satan is indeed… “theprince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”
In the April 22 devotional (click here), the Devil, being called, “the god of this world” in 2nd Corinthians 4:4, was put forth as an evil puppet-master, controlling and orchestrating so much of the goings on in this world.

Oh yes, we all know that terrorists did it.

But the Bible has something to say on just who is behind the wars and man-made calamities of this world.

“SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES”

Listen…
…”For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,

Satan, “the god of this world” loves to erase himself out of visibility.
.
But make no mistake! This evil ruler is not just sitting idly by, merely watching the goings on all around him.

No, just the opposite! Satan and his vast army of unseen spirit-beings (and humans) are working around the clock, carefully orchestrating the events in the world, according to his masterplan.
But it is to this evil arch-deceiver’s advantage to create the illusion that humans are master-minding all the current events around the world.

And so, he raises up various clandestine organizations and causes us to believe that a small group of powerful individuals are behind such catastrophes as the 911 attacks.

And Satan remains hidden in the shadows.
.
And humans get all the credit, and Satan gets none of the blame!

But no, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the dark spiritual forces at work behind the scenes who are the actual “movers-and-shakers”.

Well, if God should withdraw His powers from humans and Satan did too, we would be dismayed to discover just how inept and bumbling we humans actually are!

The only reason that the world is making all its discoveries and seemingly successful achievements is because the true orchestrators of this world are the higher unseen spiritual powers of both Heaven and Hell (“Hell” in the sense of the death and darkness of this world)…

Well, the very Good (but rather scary) News is that this world has finally come down to its great climactic finale.

The final scenes are just now beginning to unfold.

This “experiment in sin” has almost reached its finality.

And all who hear Heaven’s call can jump ship, so to speak, and get on-board the winning side.

And this Gospel ship is soon to set sail, away from this dying planet, taking us to the Promised Land of Milk and Honey in which we will be forever happy and forever young!

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.
.
But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
.
Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.
.
The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).
.
And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).

So, we have this 7 and 10 numbering.

And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent.

Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

And on and on, throughout the Scriptures, God compares unsaved Mankind to various animals.

And so, it’s no wonder that God has named His curse on mankind, “the Mark of the Beast” (Revelation 16:2 & 19:20)
.
And if we really think about it, our behavior is animal-like in so many ways!
.
For example, don’t we so often growl at a rude or fumbling cashier?
.
And don’t many people flock together at their favorite local watering-hole?
.
And like a wild coyote, don’t we “flawless” drivers sometimes grind our teeth and yap a hateful squeal at, “That Idiot!”?
.
And don’t many fathers bark out orders at their children?
.
And don’t young teens become very territorial in their school relationships?
.
And don’t they quite often drive out certain unwanted individuals from “the pack”?
.
And what about all the savage, senseless killings in today’s society? Like wild beasts, they kill!
.
And don’t we so often fight over material possessions like a bunch of seagulls fighting over a morsel of food?
.
And many thieves sneak up on their victims to steal, just like vampire bats who nightly sneak up on their victims to steal their blood!
.
And just like so many animals, many hardened businesspeople will grind their competition to hopefully drive them out of business.
.
And many married couples often “fight like cats and dogs”.
.
And like a trampling herd, many ambitious employees will “step on the backs of others” to get that promotion.
.
And like talking parrots, so many political junkies will “parrot” the very same demeaning insults they hear on their favorite daily talk show.
.
And many Bible teachers often parrot the false doctrines which they hear other Bible teachers parrot.
.
And like a herd of wild baboons, large mobs will violently bully others into tacit submission. And like a herd of elephants, they will mercilessly “trample” their opponents, and heartlessly bludgeon anyone who gets in their way!
.
And like the double-tongued serpent, many politicians will speak out of both sides of their mouth!
.
And like the Black Widow spider, many adulteresses will catch and ensnare their victims.
.
And like the mere wild beasts of the field, so many will fornicate with just about anyone and everyone they can seduce! And then move on to their next victim!
.
And like the changing colors of a chameleon, many will hypocritically change to a more advantageous position when convenient.
.
Well, this little exercise could go on and on, all day long. Because, no matter where we look in the animal/insect world, God has created them to remind us of our sinful behaviors.
But in spite of this humbling and distasteful exercise, we have the option to reach out to the One who always behaved as the noble Being He was!
.
Yes, and that majestic One walked the earth in self-sacrificing love, in search of repentant lost sinners: we lost sinners who behave so often like mere beasts of the field!
.
And though He was the most noble and majestic Being to ever walk the face of the earth, He nevertheless humbled Himself to become a lowly lamb, only to be sacrificed for others!
.
And unlike animals He willingly allowed us to hang Him upon that cruel Roman Cross, to bring us back into that 7th Day Sabbath Rest which we abandoned so long ago, back in the Garden!
.
And even though we were like a pack of cruel dogs, as we ruthlessly nailed Him to that wooden Cross, He nevertheless looked down in love at us and prayed…“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” Luke 23:34
.
And those who do turn from this animalist world, and return to God’s everlasting Rest, can once again be purified back into the noble beings we were originally created to be!

One of the most amazing creatures ever created is the Cuttlefish!

The reason why this creature is so incredible, is that it can just glance at its environment and instantly change its body to imitate that environment!
Well, God has created this little predator to give us further insight into the inner working of the kingdom of Satan.
(As this little 26-second video below shows, the Cuttlefish has the ability to paralyze his potential victims, by using his hypnotizing strobe-light effect! Amazing!)

Certainly, Satan and his unseen armies love to make themselves invisible!

2nd BEAST ARISES OUT OF THE EARTH

But nations rise and nations eventually fall.

And America left herself open to secularists moving in and slowly taking control, not only of the government, but also of the entire culture!

And out of the blessed beginnings of this liberty-of-conscience society, Satan and his evil armies moved in and began to morph this former Christianity-based society into a secular, even an atheistic culture.
But today’s devotional will spotlight on one dreadful aspect of this False Prophet: “Its ability to appear as a lamblike beast, and yet speak as a dragon”.

Oh yes, Satan has been in control of the major media for a long time, speaking as a dragon.
.
And how has he spoken through the media Goliaths as a dragon?
.
Well, just think of all the programs which teach devilish doctrines! Evolution, atheism, prosperity-driven gospels, false sciences, hedonism, and such-like philosophies.
.
But in addition to these, just think about all the radio/television/Internet dramas which promote sexual depravity, greed, violence, revenge, hatred, pride, lust, dishonesty, indifference.
.
And lastly, the various radio and Internet ministries are speaking as a dragon by pushing many false doctrines and encouraging a world-loving prosperity gospel.
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away”
2nd Timothy 3:5
.
But Satan is no dummy as many mistakenly suppose!
.
No, just the opposite! This master of deception knows well that he must provide a thin veneer of false goodness, to mask the overt wickedness of the mass-media.
.
Hence, he has enshrouded these evils in an outward cloak of humanitarianism and counterfeit compassion, just like that undersea “Master-of-Deception”, the Cuttlefish!.

And so, all Satan’s wickedness being broadcast 24/7/365 is constantly being interrupted by some “benign” 60-second humanitarian advertisement!

And let’s face it! Political correctness gives many or most people enough self-righteousness to make us feel good about our otherwise godlessly selfish lives.

Yes, here is the Good News! The Bible is now sending out the following soul-saving message…

“Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers,

hide thyself as it were for a little moment,
until the indignation be overpast.
For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity:
the earth also shall disclose her blood,
and shall no more cover her slain.”

Yes, there exists a place of refuge, a safe-haven from the approaching apocalyptic storm (and has already begun) which will ensnare the entire world in Satan’s deadly trap.
In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.
.
But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.
.
Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.
.
The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).
.
And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).
.
So, we have this 7/10 numbering.
.
And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent.

Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

But before we explore the floods, let’s look at one more number from that same passage in Revelation…

A certain friend of this website had to ride his bike down a busy street (very close to a grade school) to get to Walmart.
.
And this busy street had no sidewalks, forcing all the young people and even little children to walk to one side or the other on this narrow street.

It really seemed crazy that the county had never put sidewalks on this busy suburban street, especially since many children used it to go to and return home from the nearby school.
.
And this website friend thought to himself, “It’s probably going to take some kid getting hit before the county gets around to putting in a sidewalk!”

Now, whether or not this website friend ever secretly wished that such a wake-up call would ever happen, he could not say for sure.

Maybe, or maybe not, he could have unconsciously wished for some poor kid to get hit, which would cause a sidewalk to be constructed.

And such a terrible wish only provides further proof that the hearts of all mankind are “deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked”! Jeremiah 17:9
Well, several years later, this same web-friend was struck by a car as he was crossing the shopping center exit on a very busy street (a different street).
.
The web-friend and his mangled bike were both pulled out from beneath the vehicle, and he was transported via ambulance to the hospital.
.
But while being treated at the hospital, a police officer came into the treatment room.
.
And much to the web-friend’s surprise, the officer apologetically handed him a citation, because “You were riding on the wrong sidewalk. You should have been riding on the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street” (The driver told this officer that he stopped at the stop-sign).”

“No Sidewalk! Not Guilty!”

A month or so later, while in court, the web-friend explained to the judge that he couldn’t ride on the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street…
…”You see, Your Honor, much like so many other streets in this town, there is no sidewalk on the opposite side of the street on this, the busiest street in town!”

Well, the Judge proclaimed, “Not guilty!”

Well, this web-friend confesses that if he ever finds himself wishing for something bad to happen in order for good to result, he will plead with God to immediately remove such a horrible and dangerous thought!

Just what do you think is the greatest and most loved pastime in this world?
.
Is it basketball? Baseball? Football? Soccer? Tennis?
.
Well, when we get right down to it, we might say that the greatest and most beloved of all pastimes in this world is “judging others”!
.
After all, if one could actually take account of his or her daily thoughts it might be discovered that more time is spent in judgmental criticizing of others than we would even imagine or care to believe!
.
Quite often, we are not even consciously aware that we are judging others. It comes so naturally to us; it is as easy as breathing!
.
We just do it!
.
As we work, as we walk, as we pass by, or even converse with others, we are constantly judging, “accusing…excusing”, criticizing, and condemning others in our thoughts, and at times, even in our words!
(See Romans 2:15 for “accusing…excusing” reference)
And certainly, the mass media promotes judging of others! If one could honestly analyze the television or radio or Internet, judging others is a constant underlying theme.

Take for example, talk shows.
.
Judging the behavior of others is mostly the daily mental diet which these pharisaic programs feed their audience…
…”Oh that horrible politician!”…
…Or, “Oh, that dishonest businessman!”…
…Or, “Just look at that filthy-looking person!”
.
These are so often just a few the many kinds of thoughts which run through our hearts and minds as we go about our day, whether we are aware of it or not.
One great problem with listening to Satan’s whisperings, is that this is how this “Accuser of our brethren” gains access into our hearts and minds (see Revelation 12:10).
.
And once we allow him access, he often begins to torment us with all sorts of “evil surmisings” about the motives of others. (1st Timothy 6:4)
.
We must remember the Wise Man’s advice…
…”Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil.”
Proverbs 4:24-27

Yes, to guard the avenues to the soul, not allowing Satan any access, is our first and foremost duty!

But the sad and fearful reality is, to point the accusing finger at another living soul is to place ourselves upon God’s Judgment Throne against that erring soul (for whom Christ bled and died)…

ye shall be judged:

Yes, God is the Searcher of hearts. And if we have been elected to be His royal priesthood, then we know that He will be sifting and purifying us from all our unjust judging.

And when we engage in our proud finger-pointing at others, we must realize that there are three fingers pointing back at us…from Heaven!

SLIP-SLIDING IN OUR OWN MUDDY WAYS!

And so, if you or I do not wish to take the long road to Heaven, we need to replace our critical arrogance with a meek and lowly Spirit, grasping what Paul finally realized…
…”This is a faithful saying,
and worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;
of whom I am chief.”
1st Timothy 1:15

Yes, we need to take this same attitude: “I am the chief of sinners”. And God will assist us in this process, allowing us to realize that we are just as guilty as others!
.
And just as Peter (in Luke 22:31) had to be “sifted as wheat” because of his foolish pride…
.
…so too will God allow us to walk through the purifying fires of tribulation…
.
…that our self-righteous pride will be purged away and replaced by a humble and meek and lowly Spirit.
But the Good News is, that this is still the day of Salvation!
.
And we can use our remaining time here spending many hours contemplating God’s Word, in hopes of allowing Him to regain His rightful place on the throne of our heart.
.
And who knows? Maybe by aggressively and prayerfully pursuing His heart-cleansing Word, we can spare ourselves a lot of needless and painful and discouraging hours slip-sliding in our own muddy ways, all because we foolishly judged others!
