In this above passage, the Lord is foretelling of a day when the churches will no longer tolerate the Bible in its entirety.

And there are many today who believe that we have come to that very time, in which the attendees of most all churches demand some form of an “itching ears” gospel.
Now, back in the 1960’s, a very popular movie was introduced, called “Pollyanna”.
.
And in that movie, a young girl came to live with her very harsh and judgmental aunt.
.
And that young girl, Pollyanna, had discovered 800 totally non-offensive Bible verses!
.
And so, the movie tension centered on Pollyanna’s, “cotton-candy-soft”, 800-verse, no-judgment gospel, against the fire-n-brimstone preaching that her aunt was pushing.
Yes, Satan is waging much of his war on Christianity, via the television and movie industry.
.
And such movies as this have made pastors and churches deathly afraid of being seen as too harsh and judgmental (especially in this extremely morally-permissive society!).
And let’s face it! There is some validity to all this, considering, in decades past, many evangelists and preachers had taken to shouting, finger-pointing, condemning, and threatening their audiences with eternal torment!

This was not the way of Jesus, nor was it the way of the disciples, nor of Paul!
.
Listen…“The words of wise men are heard in quiet more
than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.”
Ecclesiastes 9:17
.
Yes, our God is a quiet God. He’s definitely not an “in your face” God!
Very rarely did He lift up His voice and shout!
.
And so, those preachers who become loud and overbearing only prove that they do not correctly understand God’s character!
Unfortunately, in today’s church-world, the pendulum has swung much too far in the opposite direction!
.
Like Pollyanna, a great movement has been currently afoot, to develop a gospel of man’s own making, by eliminating much of the seemingly harsher passages in the Bible.

EMBRACING THE WORLD

Many pastors believe if they can somehow just eliminate the harsh edge from the Bible, they can then appeal to a much wider segment of society!

And it’s true! If you can just present a “Jesus” which allows people to “honor” Him one morning a week, yet pursue this selfish world the other six-and-one-half days, then you might be able to fill up the pews!

WORLD HATES THE TRUE JESUS

But when Jesus came into this world to preach the Good News of Salvation, He was rejected by the world.
.
Listen to Jesus…
“The world cannot hate you (Jesus’ unsaved brothers);
but Me it hateth,
because I testify of it,
that the works thereof are evil.”
John 7:7
.
We hated Jesus because He condemned this selfish world!
.
And the world still hates Jesus today, for the very same reason!
But the Good News (but very sad as well!) is that God is calling His people to come out of the Babylonish confusion which exists in this world…

Listen…“And I heard another voice from heaven,
saying, Come out of her (Babylon), My people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
Revelation 18:4

And for those who are willing to accept the Bible, all the Bible, and not just the “nice passages”, they will find a wonderful fellowship with the Lord…
…as they joyfully become followers of Jesus, as He leads us up and out of this hopeless and dying planet…
The Bible also speaks of other signs in the sun, moon, and stars.

And if you are one of the fortunate ones to receive this amazing message, then you too can begin to proclaim this heavenly love story to anyone willing to listen.
God’s people have been trumpeting the message concerning Planet Earth’s Last Day, often becoming the mockery of family and friends…“Oh yeah, they’ve been saying that for decades and we’re still here!”

But what those messengers did not take into account was that “delay” of an important event of prophecy, is an integral part of Scripture.
Now one great problem with all this is that the Bible never encourages such an ecumenical movement.

But there is another reason for not joining together with the various denominations in some great ecumenical movement.

Listen to the counsel found in the Gospels…
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:”
Matthew 24:15, 16
.
Here is veiled allegorical language, which counsels Christians to flee out of the various religious organizations which make up the apostate portion of the Church, which God has named, “Mystery Babylon”.
And so, in the very day in which God tells us to “FLEE!”, the various denominations are saying just the opposite!

One great reason why so many churchgoers desire to stay in their church is because churchgoing makes up the greater sum-total of their relationship with God!
.
In other words, all through the week, the apostate Christian is focused on pursuing as much of this selfish world as possible!
Christ is not in all our thoughts during the week.

WHAT GOOD IS ECUMENISM?
.
Well, this is the sad condition of most of those who make up the various denominations of today.
.
And so, what possible good could it do, for all these to join hands together and sing the proverbial ecumenical anthem, “Kumbaya”?
This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ).
However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen.
It is actually a headless woman in childbirth.
This is seen in springtime in the northern skies.
.
But as the seasons progress, this travailing woman flips upside down, now appearing as a woman with upraised arms like eagle wings who is running (eventually flying, as shown in sketch on right) into the wilderness (westward).
Just listen to the following Bible description of that day from Joel’s fiery prophecy…
“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion,
and sound an alarm in My holy mountain:
let all the inhabitants of the land tremble:
for the Day of the LORD cometh,
for it is nigh at hand;
A day of darkness and of gloominess,
a day of clouds and of thick darkness…”

Here is an extremely gloomy scenario that the prophet is painting: “A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness…” Joel 2:2
“Prophesy…not unto us right things, speak…smooth things…”

And so, with these horrible descriptions, it is small wonder that those Christians who are attempting to blow the trumpet of alarm, may indeed come off as being very negative!

And today’s softly appareled Christian community is not accustomed to hearing such harsh negativity.
We demand “smooth things”! Isaiah 30:10

But this is not a time for smooth sermons, joking and jesting preachers, and sensual crooners!

No, it is finally time for God to arise and let the citizenry of this rebellious world hear just what He thinks about us.
After all, He has been seemingly silent about His true feelings for so many centuries.

In the 6th Chapter of the Book of John is a little account of the night when the Disciples of Jesus were in a little ship by themselves, on the dark stormy waters.
.
And a strong wind blew, causing the sea to arise. And it was dark.
.
But as they rowed, “they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.” John 6:19
.
But Jesus said unto them, “It is I; be not afraid. Then they willingly received Him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.” John 6:20, 21
And just like those disciples in that ship, the Church-Elect will go through the great storm just ahead of us, called, “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble.” (Many are going through this time right now suffering fiery personal tribulation).
.
And through the coming months, as our situation in the world gets more horrific, God’s people will pray and beg and plead with God for deliverance!
.
And the Devil will be constantly pouncing on each of us, reminding us of our past sins, and of our present un-Christlike characters.
.
Oh yes, we have been striving to become Christlike.
.
But just like those disciples in that ship, it seems as if we are rowing against the wind!
We recall, during the Dark Ages of old, that the people of God faced cruel torture of various kinds.
.
Well, nowadays, Satan will come at God’s people with torture devices that make “The Rack”, “The Wheel”, and “The Stake” look like child’s play!
.
But now, with all the modern-day drugs and high-tech devices, Satan can accomplish everything he desires, with, “no fuss and no muss”, as that old saying goes!
And as our conflict continues, it will eventually seem as if each Believer is the only one left in the earth!
.
At this point in time, we will say along with discouraged Elijah… “(O Lord, They have) slain Thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” 1st Kings 19:10.
.
Yes, just as poor weary & discouraged Elijah was pursued by wicked Queen Jezebel and her armies, so also, God’s faithful remnant will be pursued by the world and by the worldly Church!
As our conflict continues, things will become so tumultuous that it will seem as if we mount up to the heavens, and then are thrust back down into the very depths of Hell!
.
And we will reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man!
.
The world, along with Satan’s evil angels, will seem to hedge us in on every side.
.
But we will wrestle daily in prayer for God’s mercy and providence to help us remain ever-faithful to God’s Word, even as Jacob wrestled through the night with that Stranger!
.
We will struggle under the Tempter’s cruel attacks, to not let go our “shield of faith”! Ephesians 7:14, 17
.
Hence the name of this conflict, “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble!” Jeremiah 30:7
And it will be only by our remembrance of the many “exceeding great and precious promises” of God’s Word, that we will walk through the midst of Satan’s deadly snares! (2nd Peter 1:4)
.
In a very real sense, it will almost seem like one of those video games in which we must hop over one deep pit after another, so as to not fall in!
.
Yes, they will be able to walk the narrow pathway through the foreboding jungle of terrors, with deadly snares on every side…“by the word of Thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.” Psalm 17:4
And as the dark stormy night continues, and we will seemingly descend down deeper and deeper into Hell, it will appear as though God has all but abandoned us!
.
There doesn’t seem to be any release!
.
No deliverance!
.
Our prayers will get feeble, and yet we don’t give up, nor do we give in to Satan’s fierce temptations!
.
And finally, in the blackest moment of our great and hopeless despair, we will finally cry out…“My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?” Matthew 27:46
Well, dear Stranger and Pilgrim, this is more or less the scenario which is before us!
.
And though this fallible pen can only inscribe a faint picture of what is coming upon us, today’s encouragement is this: “If we don’t give up, we will eventually win the war!” (see Hebrews 10:37-39)
.

In the coming days, it might seem as though we have failed miserably!

We will have no earthly comfort!

The entire world will seem like our enemy!

But all along, God was quietly working behind the veil, always in total control!

And He will only allow that which will be for our ultimate victory over sin and Satan!

And when we finally come out victorious, we will have feet as burnished brass, and hearts of pure gold, transformed by God into the glorious likeness of Christ!
And at this point, we will walk onward and upward out of this dark world, and into the Heavenly Promised Land: a land of milk and honey!

A land of joyous laughter and singing, with distant bells ringing out songs of victory which will echo through the lush green everlasting hills…for ever and for ever! Amen.

And it’s a wonderful land, in which the everlasting hills will resound with the joyful noise of laughter and of singing, and of distant bells ringing in triumph of life-everlasting!
And God is now asking His people to finish our preparation for that wonderful Promised Paradise.

Yes, He is calling us out of Babylon, the world.

And He is wanting us to purify our hearts from all the Babylonish confusion which we once thought to be, “normal”, and renew our minds with the pure knowledge of goodness, which all the rest of His universe lives by.
Yes, this Planet in Rebellion has almost come to its final judgment.

And though we cannot predict exactly how much longer we must remain here, we do believe that it will NOT be hundreds of years like the Tribulation of the Dark Ages.

God will cut short this present Tribulation, for the sake of His Elect.

CHRIST’S LIFE TO BE OUR LIFE

And so, as His faithful followers, let us not think that the forsaking of the ways and wares of this Babylonish world is an undue burden.

And He tells us, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life!”

Yes, the life of Jesus is to be our life!

In other words, it is the “forsaking all”, right now, that will prepare the way for the next phase of the great tribulation.

And certainly, the man of God, or the woman of God has no desire to, “rain on the parade” of others, as the saying goes.
But in response to God’s command to, “Come out of her (Babylon, the apostate churches) My people…”, Christians must come all the way out of spiritual Babylon!

God Word does not compromise with paganism and worldly philosophies.

And though He may have winked at our ignorance in past decades, the time to come out of Babylon has fully arrived!
Oh yes, such holidays as Christmas and Easter may bring people into the Church.

But the fact is, these holidays, along with other compromises, have an appeal to unconverted minds.

Those who truly fear God and put their trust in Him, will tremble at the mere thought of adding anything to His Word!

And frankly, these Babylonian “holy-days” are an addition to His Word, no matter how hard the worldly-portion-of-the-Church tries to deny it!

IMPOSSIBLE TO DO GOOD!

And so, this notion that we can somehow turn these unbiblical holidays into a blessing, is to deny God’s Word which tells us that, “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one!” Job 14:4.

In other words, these holidays are an integral part of this wicked world, and God will not bless the futile works of mere men.
.
On the other hand, a true worshiper of God never should miss an opportunity to warn the world of the nearness of the end, and of the gift of everlasting life which Jesus offers to all.
This holiday called Christmas, was designed by the apostate churches of early Europe as a means of attracting the world into those fallen churches.
.
And so, to think that these non-biblical holidays could be a benefit to God’s truth is akin to Abraham and Sarah thinking that they could help God by having a child through that Egyptian woman, Hagar!
“EVEN A FOOL, WHEN HE HOLDS HIS PEACE, IS COUNTED WISE…”
Proverbs 17:28

Well, one thing is for sure! Silence is usually the best course to take, when we are unsure about what to do in these “sticky” situations, such as these matters!

And let’s remember, it is usually the fanatics who make the loudest noise against these holidays, either on the pro-side or the con-side!

And so, considering this above verse from Proverbs, let’s not be like Mr. Ignorance here in this sketch from Pilgrim’s Progress!

Don’t be spouting off our foolishness, as he is doing with the two pilgrims!

And in conclusion, it is no wonder why God refers to today’s church-world as “Mystery Babylon”.

It is filled with error and confusion, but so close to truth, that it becomes difficult to discern the error.

It is no secret that Christmas has its roots in ancient pagan holy-days.

And history tells us that the apostate churches of Europe developed this unbiblical holy-day, as a means of blending Christianity with paganism to attract a larger membership.

But what are we to do with it?

Certainly, this website highly encourages us to keep our knowledge to our self, and not, “rain on other’s parade”, as the saying goes!
But in response to God’s command to, “Come out of her (Babylon, the apostate churches) My people…”, Christians must come all the way out of spiritual Babylon!

God is not a compromiser with paganism nor with worldly philosophies.
.
And though He may have winked at our ignorance in past decades, the time to come out of Babylon has fully arrived!
One thing to keep in mind is the verse from 2nd Corinthians 11:4…
…”For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus,
whom we have not preached,
or if ye receive another spirit,
which ye have not received,
or another gospel,
which ye have not accepted,
ye might well bear with him.”

Yes, just as the Corinthians were prone to accept look-alike gospels, and a look-alike Jesus, and a counterfeit Holy Spirit, so too, Christians today may be prone to do the same!
Oh yes, Christians can use Christmas as a time to share the true Gospel.

And Christians may wish to keep quiet while unsaved family members celebrate this unscriptural holy-day.
.
And a Christian parent who has an unsaved spouse may wish to engage in the celebration of these false holidays, with joyfulness, all for the sake of unsaved family members.
But we must keep in mind that the world does not and cannot celebrate the true Christ!
.
No, just like those who were coming to the Corinthians with, “another Jesus”, the world does not understand the true Jesus Christ.
.
Because if they did, they would crucify Him all over again!
.
And so, the Christian must realize that when the world celebrates Christmas, they are actually honoring, “another Jesus”, and not the Jesus of the Bible.
…”Am I being dishonest by feigning to celebrate this false Christian holiday?
…And do I really want to give the impression that I am honoring their jesus, knowing that they are worshiping a jesus of their own making?”

And so, the Christian must pray for great wisdom, to know how to handle this difficult situation. (But silence and Christian forbearance is usually the best path to take in most cases.)

NARROW & WIDE GATE CHURCHES

But one great admonition should be given concerning the importance of entering into the “Narrow Gate”.

Fortunately (but sadly), the choice between these two churches has been made easier in this respect: that God is no longer in the midst of the local congregations.

Yes, even though the gates of Hell shall not prevail against God’s true Church-Elect, the fact is, that individual congregations do not have that same protection!

The 7 messages to the 7 churches of Asia, found in Revelation Chapter 2 & 3 makes perfectly clear, that God can and does vomit out any congregation which has been continually unfaithful to their charge!

NARROW-GATE STARS

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter.

Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story).
But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan.

The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.
.
This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark).
.
While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions.

It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle.

The call is now going out to anyone who will listen…
“Babylon is fallen is fallen…
Come out of her My people,
that ye partake not of her sins,
and receive not of her plagues”
Revelation 18:1, 4

And the reader is encouraged to click on and begin reading this series of devotionals called“Come Out of Her, My People”, to gain a full understanding of just why God considers today’s churches to be spiritual Babylon.

Yes, the time is come for God’s people to make our Exodus out of the “City of Confusion”, the various “Christian” organizations.
.
And this is a literal Exodus!
.
And yet, before we can completely come out of her, we must come out of her in our minds.
Having said all this, there are many who realize that the churches have become apostate, and yet still believe they must continue to attend.
.
One of the most common sentiments among churchgoers is the following statement…“Oh, my church has nice children’s programs, so I have to still continue there!”
.
Or perhaps this next excuse is commonly heard…“Oh my entire family attends and cannot get along without me there.”
But the question one must ask, is this…“What good does it to attend church, if the Holy Spirit has been removed, and Satan has moved in to replace Him?”
Listen…“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:
only He who now letteth will let,
until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed…
whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders,”
2nd Thessalonians 2:7-9
.
So, this above passage reveals that Satan will work in the churches with, “all power and signs and lying wonders,”

And so again, the question must be answered, “What possible good can be accomplished, by attending a presentation conducted by that “angel of light” impostor, Satan?”
The answer to this question is found by answering this next question…“Why in the world would God ever bless the workings of this great Deceiver, Satan!?!
If God would bestow spiritual (and physical) blessings on all those who remain in the apostate churches, He then would be a partaker of Satan’s sins, as well as being a partaker of the sins of His disobedient people, wouldn’t He?”

But not only does God refuse to bless those who refuse to come out of Babylon, the churches, but just the opposite is true…
“Come out of her (Babylon), My people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
Revelation 18:4

As this above verse warns, all those who refuse to come out of the harlot churches, will be subject to her sins, and recipients of her plagues!
When starting church, new parishioners soon become filled with a worldly spirit, soon partaking of the same folly as the older members in that church.

“They (antichrists) are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.” 1st John 4:5

This above verse reveals that the spirit of Antichrist is merely a worldly-minded spirit!

But never do we judge another individual’s heart nor the motives of his or her heart.

SATAN FIERCELY ASSAULTS TRUE SHEEP

And any true worshipper of God will probably be so heavily assaulted by the “Accuser of the Brethren”, Satan, that he realizes just what a dirty rotten sinner he (or she) really is!

In other words, there will be no pretentious humility.

It will be the real thing!

Because, truth-be-told, we all have pharisee-ism and sadducee-ism within us!

And it is by frequent trials and afflictions, that God purifies us from all such wickedness.

As a goldsmith purifies gold by fire, so also, God sends us through many fiery trials to burn away the dross of sin, that we will become as pure and precious gold in His sight!
To fill up the measure of Christ’s suffering in our body is what we have been called to partake of!

We must have our, “Old Man of the flesh”, crucified with Christ!

And that, dear Christian, is a war that we just cannot avoid!

God has created many things of Nature in such a way, so as to teach us all about Satan’s deceptive ways!

Take for instance, the little seductress, the Photuris, commonly known as the Femme-Fatale Lightning Bugs of North America.

These seductive little lightning bugs can imitate the mating-signals of light which female fireflies emanate in order to attract the male firefly into mating rites.
.
But when these impostors make contact with the naïve male firefly, they quickly gobble up the unsuspecting firefly.
Yes, just imagine this happy-go-lucky little firefly, joyfully buzzing about the summer night air, giving his light for all the world to see!
.
And then, he spots a certain flashing light off in the distance, giving that unmistakable love-light signal that tells him it’s another firefly of the opposite gender!
.
And so, this naive little light-bearer responds to her love-light signal!

And off he goes, straight into a deadly trap, set by this predatory impostor!

And before he realizes the impending danger, he flies right into her treacherous arms!
Well, this little lesson from nature can easily be seen in how the world has dealt with the Church during much of the past 2,000 years.

And like the naïve little firefly, we have flown headlong into the waiting arms of the femme-fatale impostor (the world), and the corporate church-world, has been gobbled up!
Yes, the church-organizations have been deceived by the “Doctrine of Balaam”, spoken of in Revelation 2:14.

And the world has embraced the churches, as surely as Balaam flooded God’s Camp with strange and lewd women, and the fornication which followed, resulted in the destruction of 24,000 Israelites!
.
And that was a picture of today’s apostate churches.
Now with just a brief look, it becomes apparent that the churches have become sleepy and have left their watch.

And Satan has moved in, bringing in his counterfeit, “ministers of righteousness”, to take control. (2nd Corinthians 11:15)
.
And the watered-down gospels, and the erroneous doctrines, along with the world-loving lifestyles of false brethren have left the churches in utter shambles!
Even the so-called conservative churches have likewise been gobbled up, “teaching for doctrines, the commandments of men” Matthew 15:9.

For instance, many of these so-called “conservative” churches are more concerned over politics and the prevailing social ills, than in their own soul’s Salvation!
…theatricals, & musical productions fill the calendar…
…events in which Jesus is hardly ever mentioned!
.
And these social events have greatly turned today’s churches into little more than a social/fraternal organization, mostly having a thin veneer of religiosity.
And sadly, the Christian schools connected with many churches, are kept so busy fulfilling the mountain of government regulations, only a thin slice of Bible is offered each day!
.
And many of these schools are so expensive that most parents cannot afford them, especially families with several children!
.
And beyond the government regulations, many of these schools have sports teams, cheer leaders, sensual and earthly music, and a host of other worldly compromises!
And so, the sad truth is, the churches have been absorbed by the world, and have adopted the ways of the world, to a great degree!
.
And this is why the call is now going out to flee to the mountains of God!
.
And those who flee from these apostate organizations will discover that the Bible and ceaseless prayer will be the place of our refuge, and the hiding place for all those who are escaped from Babylon!

But the main point of this devotional is, that while we work and live and abide in this present world, by no means, are we to love this present “normal” world.

Listen…“He that loveth his life shall lose it;
and he that hateth his life in this world
shall keep it unto life eternal.”
John 12:25
.
By this above verse from John’s Gospel, we understand that the Spirit within us, gives us a hatred for this present order of things!
.
We are to sigh and cry for the day when we can leave this present “normal”, and enter into the Promised Land, which will be our eternal home!
But just because we must live here does not prevent us from living by God’s “normal”, to a great extent!
.
Yes, the more we hide God’s Word in our hearts, the greater will be our conformity to the ways of Heaven!
.
And the more we refuse to pollute our heart and mind with ungodly influences, the more that Christ will live out His life in us and through us!
.
And one of these days, we will simply walk upward and out of this world completely, into a glorious Promised Land, that lives and rejoices and thrives by that completely new, “normal!”

After years of seeking for the things of the world, Solomon was finally brought back to his spiritual senses, in which he at last concluded about life… “all is vanity.”

Yes, Solomon finally realized the ugly truth about this life, that indeed, “All is meaningless!”
.
Yes, God worked through all Solomon’s ambitious projects and accomplishments, so as to teach Solomon the great truth, “Vanity of vanities! All is vanity (meaningless)!”
But God, in His infinite mercy and love, works through all the meaningless endeavors of Mankind, to use as a teaching moment.
.
Oh yes, God is allowing all these things as a lesson-book for all who dwell in His heavens and earth.
.
But God also works through the individual lives of Believers too, that they might also learn the lessons of life, which will make His people more like His beloved Son!

GOD WORKS THROUGH OUR ENDEAVORS
.
And so, God allows Christians to build our little lives, and strive for our goals.
.
And so, we may desire to acquire a new home…
…or a new car…
…or a new career…
…or marry a spouse…
…or have children…
…or enjoy social gatherings…
…or tend to our garden…
…or build some humanitarian ministry…
…or whatever other plans, and goals, and endeavors, and enjoyments we seek after.
How can we order our lives in such a way, as to gain the greatest heavenly profit?
.
To fill our hearts and minds with the knowledge and heavenly wisdom found in God’s Word, is the greatest work that we can accomplish!
.
And those who are wise, will endeavor to rearrange and simplify their lives, so as to allow the maximum time and energy for continuous communion with God!
“Dear Lord, Help me to fully comprehend what Solomon is saying to us today! Help me to keep my eyes looking ever-upward, so that the things of earth will grow strangely dim…
Yes, we look around and see most everyone smiling, and behaving very friendly!
.
And so, we let down our guard, because of all this friendliness.
.
But we should not be ignorant of his devices.
.
After all, the Antichrist spirit which indwells the people of the world, and within worldly-minded parishioners, wants his world to appear full of happy people!
.
Just listen to Scripture, as Paul warned Believer’s way back in his day…“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.” Acts 20:29
.
The problem with this above verse, is that it gives us the idea that these grievous wolves are vicious-looking and evil in appearance.
WHEN EVIL WEARS A SMILE: “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful”
Proverbs 27:6
.
But the fact is, Satan is no dummy, as many mistakenly suppose!
.
He knows that his so-called, “ministers of righteousness” must be very friendly and cheerful, if they are ever going to be effective soul-murderers.
.
And so, Satan quite often picks the smartest, the most gifted, the most cheerful, and the friendliest Antichrists from society, to infiltrate the Church.
.
Yes, Satan’s “ministers of righteousness” are often the most vivacious, energetic, and charismatic members of the church!

THE FLOODWATERS OF THE REVELATION 12 DRAGON…

The Wave Constellation is primarily comprised of the Auriga Constellationplus one star from Taurus, plus one more star.

Well, in Hislop’s great work, “The Two Babylons”, he documented that name back to ancient pagans who called their Trident fish-god by the name, “The Trinity”.

So once again, the apostate churches of yesteryear, brought in a pagan name from the ancient cultures, incorporating it into Christianity.
And now, that paganistic name, “The Trinity” is so beloved and exalted within today’s Babylonish churches…
.
…that whosoever dares to criticize this most “revered name”, is often censured and sometimes even regarded as being an abject infidel and heretic!
.
So right here, the heresy already begins as this non-biblical name, such as “The Trinity”, becomes a test for one’s fidelity/infidelity to being a true Christian!
Now, as already stated, the concept behind the correct God-given name, The Godhead, is that there are three separate and divine personages, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
.
No argument with that!
.
That’s what Scripture reveals!
.
But then, to presumptuously surmise that we can, “help God out”, by concocting our own name for something which has already been named by God is sheer madness and folly!
Well, in answer to that question, let’s take a theological name for some Bible truth, which is NOT so well-beloved by today’s so-called orthodox churches.
.
Let’s take the name, “Soul-Sleep”.
.
Now, “Soul-Sleep” is never ever found in the Bible.
.
But it merely refers to the “Sleep” spoken of many times in Scripture, when a person dies…
…”And many of them that SLEEP in the dust of the earth
shall AWAKE,
some to everlasting life,
and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”
Daniel 12:2
.
And so, the Bible quite often refers to those who have died as “sleeping”, and who will eventually “awake”.
.
And, because the physical body will eventually return to the dust, this term, “sleep”, must be referring to the soul, as it sleeps until it is raised up, “at the last day” John 6:40
But because some theologians have concocted the term, “Soul-Sleep”, this has created division in the Church.
.
And opponents of the idea that the dead are “sleep(ing) in the dust of the earth”, throw this non-biblical name right back in the face of those who use that term, “soul-sleep” to describe the dead.
.
And by so-doing, these opponents of “soul-sleep” reveal their own utter hypocrisy, while criticizing the inventors of the name “soul-sleep”, while at the same time clinging to such unbiblical names as, “The Trinity”!

ERRORS EMPOWER SATAN
.
And let’s face it! Satan has used this erroneous name, “The Trinity” to empower some of the so-called, “cults”, who correctly point out the folly of this ancient pagan name for the trident gods!
.
And thus, Satan takes full advantage of our doctrinal errors, and uses them to give credence to these false gospels, resulting in much division and much confusion in the church-world!
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”
Luke 16:10
.
And one last reason for not using this term, “The Trinity”.
.
It has opened the door for other unbiblical names to be invented!
.
It sets a bad example for more and more occurrences of this same folly!
.
This above proverb spoken by Jesus, lays down the following principle: that unfaithfulness in the smallest of matters will result in unfaithfulness in many things!
.
And with just one glance at today’s church-world, it becomes apparent that it has accepted many other unbiblical doctrines and non-biblical terminology over the past decades and centuries!
.
This is the wine of Babylon! This is the poisonous wine of her false doctrines!

Yes, this world is neck-deep in the great spiritual conflict of the ages, between two opposing armies: the armies of God, and the armies of Lucifer, who became the enemy of God.
.
So, what’s all this talk about peace and safety?
.
Well, to put it concisely, it’s just a big fat lie, perpetrated by the Father of Lies, Lucifer, who became the Devil, and Satan.
But the Devil has been working through his current-day prosperity-driven gospels to convince Christians that God wants them to have a nice, happy and peaceful life here on earth.
.
And yet, the fact is, God has called us to be soldiers in His army, to fight against the forces of evil on earth!
.
Listen to Paul’s declaration…
…”For when they shall say, Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction cometh upon them,
as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape.”
1st Thessalonians 5:3
.
So here is seen that peace and safety in this world is not an option.
And certainly, the Christian can live in total safety in Jesus.
.
But that kind of heavenly peace and safety will be experienced even in the midst of the battle!
.
But the Christian must get rid of the notion that we are going to live a nice little peaceful existence in this world of selfish desires and ambitious pursuits.
.
Yes, the Devil has made it his mission to make life extremely difficult for every true son or daughter of God.
2nd Corinthians 6:14 says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers…”
.
For instance, many church-going singles end up marrying a spouse who has little love for the Bible and even less desire to follow the counsels therein! 
.
And so, many young couples start off in life with less-than-optimal conditions for raising God-loving children.
.
Because invariably, the nominal Christian spouse will want as much of this selfish world as possible, thus bringing up children who will likewise love this Babylonian world!
Another key ingredient to raising up little Babylonians can be observed by the incredibly high percent of Christian children who attend public schools.
.
These schools have been greatly turned into indoctrination centers in which children are filled up with worldly ideals and philosophies…
…ignorance of church history…
…atheism…
…perverted lifestyles…
…books on witchcraft, etc….
…socialism…
…eastern religions…
…and other similar ideologies are beginning to be freely taught to Christian children in today’s public schools.
(And now even hateful racism is the lens which many schools teach through!)
.
Oh yes, there may be many fine and dedicated teachers!
.
But “the god of this world”, Satan is not derelict in his tireless efforts to wipe away every trace of love for the Bible out of the hearts of Christian children!
And even those few parents who can afford to send their children to a private Christian school, might be dismayed.
.
Secular music, sensual dancing, sports, secular conversation, and secular lifestyles, are used as a means of “staying relevant”, only further indoctrinates young people into a secular mind-set.
.
And even if they wanted to keep it Christian, the secular government (and societal peer-pressure) is demanding more and more secular requirements, leaving little time in the school-day for Bible study.
Now, if all this is not bad enough, young children come home from this quasi-Christian education in which the big screen TV is placed in the prominent place of that home.
.
A recent survey found that “active Christians who attend church each week”watch over 3 hours of television per day!
.
Now just imagine if those same parents spent those 3 hours studying their Bibles each day!
.
Then there would be no need for scathing devotionals to be written!
.
We would have a Church full of Apostle Pauls!
.
But instead, we have a Church of which Christ warns, “I will spew the out of My mouth!” Revelation 3:16
.

MINGLING WITH UNBELIEVERS
.
Now, the next ingredient, which is commonly found in Christianity today, is for parents to let their children play with secular children after school.
.
Talk about getting a street education!
.
Listen to Paul…“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
Wherefore come out from among them,
and be ye separate, saith the Lord,
and touch not the unclean thing;
and I will receive you,”
2nd Corinthians 6:14, 17
.
As this above passage promises, by separating ourselves from unbelievers, God will begin to treat us as His children!
“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”
Ephesians 6:4
.
An integral part of counteracting the overflowing tide of evil in this fallen world, is for parents to make every effort to reflect the loving ways of Jesus to our children.
.
In simpler terms, we must make sure to live with our family in such a way as to show them that Heaven is a place of joy!
.
And the parents need to show much heavenly love for our children.
.
Whether engaging them in their little games and sports, or hugging them often, or just making life in the home nice and breezy.
.
This is an integral part of what it means to “bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”

God has a people in Babylon. .
Yes, Mystery Babylon is the Mother of Harlots.

But in that spiritual city, there are those who still love God to a certain degree.

And before the final plagues are poured out upon her, God has been and will continue to call His people out of her…

And so in addition to The Pleiades appearing as the Harlot Mother, we also see this second depiction of The Pleiades as an angel, which symbolizes God’s people, walking the downward pathway to destruction.

Now, back in the 1960’s, a wacky comedy was created, which became a big hit movie on the “silver screens” around the world…“It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World!”

Well, this carefree comedy was a great way of escaping the often-grim realities of this truly, “Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World”, for several hours!
.
And in this respect, that “feel-good” Hollywood movie makes a somewhat appropriate introduction to today’s devotional…
and madness (raging insanity) is in their heart while they live,
and after that they go to the dead.”
Ecclesiastes 9:3
.
This above verse from the final summation of life from Solomon’s pen, the Book of Ecclesiastes, makes this same pronouncement several times, namely, that this is a world full of madness (insanity).
.
Oh no, not just the mental institutions! But this entire, crazy world!
But are we so confident that we are wise enough to pick through all those thousands of erroneous ideas and miraculously choose the one correct philosophy or religion?
.
That in itself is actually a totally crazy notion, if we really think about it!
.
After all, what if I am wrong?
.
What if I choose the wrong religion?
.
What if my chosen philosophy turns out to be just proverbial, “hogwash”, as the saying goes? Then what?
.
“Well, I’ll just die. So it won’t matter if I was wrong”, many will say in answer to these questions.
.
So isn’t this also a form of madness?
.

A WORLD OF MEANINGLESS PURSUITS
.
And the unseen Enemy of Souls has filled this world to the brim with every conceivable selfish pursuit: ambitious and proud careers, unlimited sports games and amusements, time-consuming and thought-absorbing hobbies…etc, etc….
.
He wants to keep us so busy, that we place eternity on the proverbial “back-burner!
In every nation, and in every city, and in every village, and in every neighborhood, there exists a fountain.
.
And both day and night, this fountain is constantly flowing with a miraculous spiritual water…
.
…in which, if a person drinks, truly drinks of that “fountain of the water of life”, they will live forever; forever in a world of joy and laughter, and singing, where we will be forever young! Revelation 21:6
“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give…shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:14 (Condensed)

And every person instinctively knows of that fountain.
.
Their conscience tells them so!
.
But they all refuse to drink! Every last man, woman, and child refuse to drink!
.
Oh, deep down, they know it’s there!
.
But they are afraid to drink!
.
Somehow, the “god of this world” has poisoned their minds, so that they actually think that drinking from this fountain will somehow spoil all their fun!

The fact is, it is no big secret that we are living in a very sexualized society.

And much of the music today is very sensual.

And all too often, Christian lyrics are added to sensual music.

One noticeable technique heard in much of today’s Christian music, is when the vocalist pushes air through his or her voice to achieve a sort of, “sensual bedroom voice”.

And so, in such cases, there is no attempt to imitate Christ, but more often than not, to imitate the world!

And for those of us who have grown up listening to the raw and carnal music of the world, there will be seen a metamorphosis to a music genre which the world would not touch with the proverbial, “ten-foot pole”!

But this should not surprise us.

After all, our life has been dedicated to surrendering our selfish and carnal nature to Christ, so that His holiness will replace our former carnal desires.
But the really wonderful Good News is that every true Believer rejoices whenever he or she can lay down some cherished idol on the altar for Christ!

And with each and every spiritual sacrifice, the more that the Christian’s life will reveal that Christ is living within!
.
And his or her godly example will be an inspiration to others, as they behold their changed life!

There is a general consensus in today’s Christian community, which says… “Oh we LOVE the Bible! And my church teaches right out of it every week! Nothing else, but the Bible!”

Well, this testimony is very commonly heard echoing through the not-so-hallowed-halls of today’s so-called “orthodoxy” in Christendom.
But while churchgoers say these things, statistics show that just the opposite is true!

For instance, surveys reveal that the phrase, “God loves those who help themselves” is commonly thought to be a verse from the Bible, by many current-day churchgoers.

NO VIRGIN BIRTH OR 6-DAY CREATION?

And other surveys reveal that a large portion of pastors do not believe in the literal 6-day Creation!

Nor do many pastors believe in the “Virgin Birth” of Jesus! (But there may be many other pastors who do believe).
There are many Bible teachers who do not believe that Ecclesiastes, nor portions of the Book of Job are to be trusted for “doctrine, confirmation, correction, and instruction in righteousness”. 2nd Timothy 3:16
Jesus spoke through the man, Job, saying, “I have esteemed the words of His (God’s) mouth more than my necessary food.” Job 23:12
.
Yes, not only were these the sentiments of Job, but also of Jeremiah, Paul, and most all other Bible heroes.
.
It is reported that during his years as a theologian, Martin Luther even loathed the minutes he had to put down his Bible, to eat his meals!
.
So then, how can we boast that old mantra, “Sola Scriptura”, and at the same time, entangle and pollute our hearts with the words and affairs of unsaved men, via our various high-tech devices? So sad!
The fact is, there are many passages in the Bible which are very unpopular truths!
.
For instance, the Apostle Paul said…
“For we brought nothing into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and raiment
let us be therewith content.”
1st Timothy 6:7, 8
.
Now really! Just how much of today’s churches teach this very inconvenient truth?
.
But the sad fact is, that it is perhaps one of the most ignored of all New Testament passages in a day in which earthly mammon is so available and very affordable!
But those who rejoice whenever they can give up some little cherished idol, for the sake of becoming more like Jesus, will joyfully hear this message and, “Come out of her, My people!”
.
And those who truly love the Bible, even though it says many things which require them to trade away this present world, will gladly hear this clarion call!
.
And God’s true Church will shine like the brightness of the Sun, in that Day. And they will shine with the brightness of Jesus to a world that has rebelled against God’s Word!
And so, let us each begin to use the remaining time on earth, to beg for the grace to joyfully and enthusiastically pursue our Salvation as the precious jewel that it truly is!

In the Book of Job (pronounced with a long, “o”), the Devil had brought Job down to a wretched condition in hopes of getting Job to curse God.
.
But though Job’s trials were far greater than most of us have had to endure, Job remained faithful to God, exclaiming the following…“Though He (God) slay me, yet will I trust in Him:” Job 13:15
.
Though, this above verse is only ten words, it has been a giant encouragement to many thousands, through the ages!
In that well-known parable In Luke 15:11-32, it tells of a wayward son who only returned back to his father’s house when all his other options ran out!
.
And only in his misery and affliction was he inspired to go back and become an obedient son.
And if our chastening comes in the form of great illness, we must ask for the grace to have the same degree of faith that Paul had…
…”Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities,
in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions,
in distresses for Christ’s sake:
for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
2nd Corinthians 12:10
.
Wow! What an attitude! Paul actually took pleasure in his own infirmities!
.
And we must plead for this same unwavering faith, so that we also might take pleasure in our own personal infirmities, knowing it is for both our temporal and eternal benefit!
I didn’t understand all that Ephesians 6 was talking about.“What does it mean to put on ‘the breast plate of righteousness'”?
.
This was very puzzling to me… “How does a person just put something like that on?”
.
This was a concept above my comprehension.
. “And how does a person ‘put on the helmet of salvation'”, I thought to myself…“especially while Satan is condemning and accusing every moment?”
. “And how do you put on the shoes, with the gospel of peace’?” I couldn’t understand these concepts. I was too new in the faith.
. ONE CONCEPT THAT DID MAKE SENSE…
.
But there was one thing I could understand.
.
I knew what it meant to take the “sword of the spirit, which is the word of God”.
.
Now that I got! Read the Bible!
.
That’s a simple concept!
.
Yeah!
.

There was a box-office blockbuster movie in which the phrase, “You can’t handle the truth!” quickly became a much repeated one, used in all sorts of various everyday situations.

And as with so much of what the unsaved world does, says, and creates, this phrase, too, can also be translated into a heavenly reality.
“They have not known nor understood: for He (God) hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand”
Isaiah 44:8
.
You see, just like the civilians in that movie could not understand, nor tolerate the innerworkings of the military, so too, this world’s unsaved citizenry cannot understand, nor can they tolerate the things of Heaven!
.
Okay, so maybe this is a poor comparison, since the commander in the movie was allowing and justifying sinful actions.
.
But the fact is, there are so many truths which are “hard to swallow”, as the expression goes.
“And as he (Paul) reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, ‘Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee'”
Acts 24:25
.
One major stumbling block is because the Bible describes the unsaved as…“having no hope, and without God in the world”. Ephesians 2:12
.
Yes, without the assurance of everlasting life, the subject of death and eternal judgment is just too difficult for unbelievers, as well as many professing believers who may be faithful church-attendees but have never truly received Salvation.
“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
Psalm 16:11

Another major stumbling block for most is that the Gospel, the true Gospel just seems much too bleak and austere!
.
They look at the self-denying lifestyle of true Believers and shutter at the thought of giving up so many worldly idols, such as television, partying, and all the other selfish pleasures and ambitions which Christians shun.
.
Another truth which the world can’t handle, is living a life of prayer, faith, holiness, and Bible study/contemplation.
.
The world has no taste for such things, nor do they understand that the indwelling Spirit of Holiness gives peace, joy, and pleasure like an ever-flowing river to Christians.

Still another truth which they can’t handle is to realize that Christ condemned this world, the only world that unbelievers know!
.
And so, when they perceive that Christians anxiously wait for, and live for the world-to-come, it’s often more than they can handle.
But the extremely Good News is, that for all those who are being saved, the Spirit of Holiness does indeed, indwell them, filling them with joy, peace, and love for all those daily duties!
.
But even more wonderful, that same Spirit gives an ever-increasing christlike love, sympathy, and understanding for the lost souls of this hopeless world.
.
Christians everywhere are crying out daily, that those lost souls too, might also know and love the truth, which shall set them free from their bondage to sin, suffering, and hopelessness!
“Dear Lord, Please give me that ever-increasing joy, peace, love, and faith to walk by Your “exceeding great and precious promises” found throughout Your infallible Word of Truth…

It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky.

It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west.
.
In January, it is in the west after midnight.

As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening.

A dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation.

It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion.

And as already stated, this Glorious Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west.

Today’s Bible teachers and theologians try their best to deny and cover up the fact that historical records give Cyrus I. Scofield credit for popularizing this false doctrine of the “Pre-Tribulation Rapture”.

And they likewise cover up the fact that this heresy was most likely originated by another 19th-century false Bible teacher, one John Darby of The Plymouth Brethren sect.
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”
1st Corinthians 15:52

The host of a popular radio Bible call-in question/answer talk show, was asked the following question: “When it says that the Lord shall return “at the last trumpet”, how can this possibly be speaking of a so-called Pre-Tribulation Rapture?”
Now, Matthew 24 is definitely revealing “the last trumpet!”

Listen…“Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light,
and the stars shall fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven
with power and great glory.
And HE SHALL SEND HIS ANGELS WITH A GREAT SOUND OF A TRUMPET,
and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other.”

This is speaking of Christ’s return “AFTER the tribulation of those days”!

But those who insist on a so-called “Pre-Tribulation Rapture” must do amazing gymnastics in attempt to wrestle that trumpet out of Christ’s handwhich He blows on “the last day”.
(John 6:39, 40, 44, 54 all speak of the resurrection happening on “the Last Day”)

This talk-show host, who constantly affirms his faith in, “the Bible only”, and in the infallibility of the Bible, did some “double-speak” and incredible gymnastics to speak of “other trumpets”.

God warns us that Bible teachers might try to wrestle with Scripture to justify false doctrines!

And Scofield and Darby, along with many current-day Bible teachers, are guilty of wrestling away the truth in exchange for a lie!

There is an old saying in Christendom, which goes something like this…“If you lived on a deserted island, and a King James Bible washed ashore, would you be able to prove your favorite church-doctrines?”

Well, this analogy has a certain amount of merit.

After all, there are many different church-doctrines blowing in the wind these days!
.
And so, it might be well for the Christian to begin to examine the Bible with fresh eyes!
.
You know! As if we were on a deserted island!
.
Without any pre-conceived notions about the Bible!
Perhaps it was the Dutch Reformed Church who decided to take John Calvin’s interpretations on the nature of grace, as it applies to Salvation, and came up with the acronym, “T.U.L.I.P.”.
.
Yes, this clever little acronym stands for the so-called “5 points of Calvinism”:
Total depravity,
Unconditional Election,
Limited Atonement,
Irresistible Grace,
Perseverance of the Saints (also known as, Once Saved Always Saved)
Well, it was Calvin’s realization that if Christ indeed paid for all the sins of each and every human, then their sins were paid for!
.
In other words, if a man’s sins were atoned for by Christ’s blood shed on the Cross, then those sins were nailed to the Cross.
.
And thus, Calvin continued his reasoning, that if the greater portion of Mankind will spend eternity in Hell for their sins, then how could their sins be paid for? “That just doesn’t make sense!”, or so Calvin concluded!

What Calvin neglected to realize is, that God is infinite, and His Word is likewise infinite!

And while Calvin was a very intelligent guy, he was by no means as smart as God!

Yes, perhaps Calvin was not aware of a yet undiscovered Bible truth!

Now, at the other end of theological fanaticism are those who are followers of Jacobus Arminius, who ardently taught the false church-doctrine known as “Free-will Salvation”!

And this popular notion, that God looked down through the corridors of time, and saved all those whose hearts would choose to follow Jesus.

Thus, God saves all those “possessing some spark of inherent goodness”, is widely taught today!
.
And on and on this 400+ year debate has continued!

MATTERS TOO GREAT!

But let’s just be meek and humble enough to admit that we don’t quite understand everything in the Bible!

Doesn’t that sound reasonable?

After all, even the great David confessed…
…”LORD, my heart is not haughty,
nor mine eyes lofty:
neither do I exercise myself in great matters,
or in things too high for me….”
Psalm 131:1
.
And so, if David was content to refrain from matters too high for his understanding, how much more should we be willing to do the same?
One thing is for certain, on the soon-coming Day when we will all be standing before the Throne of the Almighty Judge, all our questions will then be answered!

So, in the meanwhile, let’s just behave and quiet ourselves, even as a little child!

Perhaps this last verse really sums up this little discussion…

HEAVENLY OBJECT LESSON

So, as the Moon must reflect the light of the Sun, in order to be a light to the world…

…so also must the Christian reflect the light of Jesus, to be a spiritual light to this planet in rebellion.
Listen…“Ye are the light of the world…

However, during an eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, preventing that sunlight from shining on the Moon’s face.

This is an incredible object-lesson about when the child of God allows the world to come between him and his Lord.

Like the eclipse, that person no longer reflects the light of Jesus, because his or her love of this dark world of sin has eclipsed the light from the“Sun of Righteousness” (see Malachi 4:2).

And the main tenet of this so-called Pre-Tribulation Rapture, is that God’s faithful Elect will disappear just prior to a 7-year period of tribulation.

One moment they will be here. And the next moment they will simply disappear, while everyone else must carry on with apocalyptic events.
The Pre-Tribulation Rapture is the “ultimate house-of-cards”, as the saying goes!
.
And this is what makes it a house of cards: if you take away this theologian-contrived name, “The Rapture”, this entire house-of-cards comes tumbling to the ground!
.
Because, once a Christian gets back to the Bible and the Bible only, the name, “The Rapture”, must be discarded!
You see, the name, “The Rapture” was used by Cyrus Scofield (coined perhaps, by John Darby) to prop up the false doctrine of two separate Returns of Christ.
.
And the very place in the Bible that he went, to concoct this name was in 1st Thessalonians 4:15-17…
…”For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord…
that we which are alive and remain unto THE COMING OF THE LORD…
shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

So, the proper name of this event here IS NOT “caught up”, but rather, “The Coming of the Lord”!
“Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
Revelation 3:10

One problem is that this above promise was made to a church which existed back in the 1st Century A.D.!
.
And so, did God Rapture that 1st century church out of the world?
.
Absolutely no mention of that anywhere in the Bible!
.
Well, then, how did God fulfill His promise to, “keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world?”
.
Obviously, God eventually took them all in death, as is written…
“none considering that the righteous is taken away
from the evil to come.”
Isaiah 57:1
.
Yes, in all ages, God has taken away the merciful men in death, to spare them, “from the evil to come!”
Now is there any other way in which God keeps His people from the wrath to come?
.
Oh yes, just look how God poured out His bowls of wrath upon the Egyptians just prior to the Exodus but kept the children of Israel from those plagues!
.
Did God Rapture them away?
.
Oh no! But God did spare His people from those plagues, simply by causing those plagues to fall all around them, but not on them!

And the more we know about Jesus, the more wonderful will be our rest, like an ever-flowing fount of peaceful waters!

Of course, this kind of peace can only be supernaturally provided by the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ.
But those who turn to wine for refreshment, will wake up in the morning with a bit of a bad temperament
(like this hung-over likeness of a city magistrate, whose browbeaten construction employees mockingly fashioned his grouchy “morning-after” likeness onto the side of a new building.)

And those who while-away the night-hours over some TV show or intriguing book, will eventually find those earthy images and that worldly wisdom have all but choked out the pure words of God, that once graced the walls of their heart!

If I allow the things of the world, the riches and pleasures of this life, to absorb my everyday thoughts, then that is what is being treasured up in my heart!
