So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration into another area of concern.

Let’s look at the key Bible passage…
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea:
who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews.
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,
in that they received the word with all readiness of mind,
Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:
.
1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”
.
2.“And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
.
And so, the Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.
.
Thus, there was an open-mindedness which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to search the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!
.
And their open-mindedness was in contrast to vast close-minded majority of that day, who merely listened just long enough until heard some supposed error in Paul’s teachings, giving themselves an excuse to reject him altogether!
The Book of Revelation was given for the Church in every age, even as it is written… ”Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND.” Revelation 22:10.

Yes, the Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ is just as its title reveals: it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, and His marvelous workings in a world steeped in sin and woe.
But since about the mid-twentieth century, the apostate portion of the Church has been misleading the Christian community into the notion that the last 19 chapters of Revelation concern only the literal Jews and are greatly irrelevant for the Church.
.
And to further bolster this notion, the man-made name, “The Rapture” was invented and added to the teachings of theologians and Bible teachers…
.
…to bring about the deception that there will be two separate returns of Christ…
.
…thus, promoting the fallacy that the Church would be snatched away prior to the last 7 years of earth’s great end-of-days tribulation.
.
This is a fatal error, and is easily disproved by such passages as this above verse from Revelation, plus many other similar passages such as this…
…”Blessed is he that readeth,
and they that hear the words of this prophecy,
and keep those things which are written therein:
FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND.”
Revelation 1:3

“THE TIME IS AT HAND”
.
Now why does God pronounce those to be blessed, who read and hear and keep “the words of this prophecy”?
.
Simple! Because “the time is at hand.”
.
In other words, the entire Book of Revelation was given to be a comfort for God’s people at any point in time in the New Testament era, as it reveals how Jesus works with and works through His Church-elect.
.
Yes, persecution against Christians by Satan’s armies began soon after Christ’s ascension!
However, the problem came in when apostate church theologians decided that Scripture must be interpreted as literal as possible, to avoid all the indiscriminate mis-interpreting of Scripture by many unsanctified minds.
.
But as the saying goes, “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater!” Just because some theologians came up with wrong ideas, did not necessitate the forbidding of all spiritualizing away the many types, shadows, allegories, etc…
.
Yes, by judiciously comparing scripture with scripture, and spiritual things with spiritual, one may find the true spiritual meaning veiled behind the various allegories, parables, types, and shadows found throughout both testaments.
.
And doesn’t Jesus Himself tell us…
”And He said, Unto you (His true disciples)
it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God:
but to others in parables;
that seeing they might not see,
and hearing they might not understand.”?
Luke 8:10
.
The fact is, the Bible is a spiritual Book. God has filled it with many truths which are often veiled within types and shadows and parables and allegories.
.
And this very spiritual Book can only be revealed by the indwelling Holy Spirit combined with a thorough searching out and comparing of scripture with scripture.
And concerning the allegorical nature of the Bible, even Paul asks the question… ”Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?…Which things are an allegory.” Galatians 4:21, 24
.
Paul here was gently scolding the Galatians for not discerning the allegorical nature of the Law which would have revealed to them the deeper truths which these Galatians could not see by reason of their spiritual blindness.
.
But likewise, today’s apostate portion of the Church cannot properly discern spiritual things even as it is written…
“not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know [them],
because they are spiritually discerned.”
1st Corinthians 2:13, 14

Yes, the Bible is a spiritual book. But the carnal heart cannot properly discern that spiritual nature, nor does it even desire to do so.

And to further lock them out of truth, Satan stealthily brought in this false non-biblical hermeneutic which demands that scripture must only be interpreted literally, as far as possible.
“Dear Lord, Help me to be an open-minded seeker of truth, even if it means giving up a very highly regarded Church opinion! Let me be willing to investigate any seemingly new teaching if it appears to have some biblical validity…

The so-called “orthodoxy” in the church-world has been hammering the notion into the minds of Christians and church-attendees for the many decades, even centuries, the notion that the punishment of the wicked is only for the unsaved of the world.

Unfortunately, the Christian community has been content to accept this notion far too readily, while ignoring other passages which tell us that true worshippers of God will be likewise afflicted.

…”Before I was afflicted I went astray:
but now have I kept Thy Word…
It is good for me that I have been afflicted;

I know, O LORD, that Thy judgments are right,
and that Thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.”

There is no purpose for God to afflict those who are eternally lost.

Listen to this next verse from Psalm 73:3-5…
…”For I was envious at the foolish,
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
For there are no bands in their death:
but their strength is firm.
They are not in trouble as other men;
neither are they plagued like other men.”
.
In this above passage is revealed that affliction is not for those who are of the world.
.
But this same Psalmist saw that the wicked seem to have such a nice peaceful existence, while this Psalmist complained about his own self…
…”For all the day long have I been plagued,
and chastened every morning.”
Psalm 73:14

Yes, the Psalmist was envious at those who prospered in the world, while he himself was afflicted seemingly every morning!
GOD’S AFFLICTIONS FOR HIS OWN PEOPLE AND NOT FOR THE WORLD!

And so, with this truth in mind, (that God’s people, and not the world, are the ones to be afflicted) the 14th Chapter of Revelation begins to take on a completely different application…
“But though He (the Lord) cause grief, yet will He have compassion…”
.
No, God has no desire to needlessly punish those who will have no part in Christ’s eternal inheritance, even as it is written…
…”For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
But though He cause grief,
yet will He have compassion
according to the multitude of His mercies.
For He doth not afflict willingly
nor grieve the children of men…
Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to the LORD.”
Lamentations 3:31-33, 40

Here is revealed that God’s punishments are not merely for the sake of inflicting pain, but are expressly given for the purpose of bringing that afflicted one to repentance and restoration back to Heaven’s ways.
What most Christians and churchgoers do not take into account is that the Bible reveals a spiritual truth that there exists two men in the lives of true Christians…
…”The Old Man, which is corrupt
according to the deceitful lusts;”
(Ephesians 4:22)…

…but also, “The New Man,
which is renewed in knowledge
after the image of Him that created Him:”
Colossians 3:10.

Now, today’s devotional is by no means saying that our afflictions are something to enjoy…
…”Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness
unto them which are exercised thereby.”
Hebrews 12:11

Yes, our afflictions are grievous, to say the least!
.
But by faith we endure them, knowing that they will yield a wonderful harvest of spiritual fruit, as long as we faint not because of those afflictions!
And then, there are many who primarily study Bible prophecy, and this for the purpose of knowing future events.
.
One of the great errors which many of these prophecy buffs make, is to believe that only the Book of Revelation and other certain limited parts of the Bible are beneficial for prophecy.
.
Nor do they understand that Revelation’s prophecies are spiritually-discerned illustrations of the Gospel of Christ’s character.
Far too many bible prophecy enthusiasts make the fatal error of trying to decipher prophecies by means of history books and newspapers.
.
And this is often done out of a morbid desire to merely prognosticate future events.
.
And Bible study which relies on other books and on newspapers makes that Bible student or teacher guilty of adding man’s corrupt words to God’s infallible Word.
But if only these erring prophecy students would cling to that old Reformation mantra, “Sola Scriptura”, which means, “The Bible Only”…
.
…and merely, prayerfully and carefully, compare scripture with other comparable scriptures…
.
…they might begin to discover the true interpretation of Bible prophecy!
.
And they might be surprised to find that Bible prophecy reveals more and more about Jesus Christ and His Salvation plan!
.
In other words, to merely seek to know future events is not what good and beneficial Bible prophecy is about.
.
And let’s face it! Prophecy teachers who have been guilty of relying on history books and newspapers to discover and predict future events, will most likely have to eventually apologize for their mistaken predictions.
.
But these are just some examples of improper Bible study.
Listen to the words of Jesus in His sermon on the mount…“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6
.
This above verse clearly defines the deep and primary purpose of every true Christian: to become changed into the image of Jesus!
.
And as this above passage reveals, the true Christian hungers and thirsts after Christ’s character!
.
To become changed into His image is the overwhelming longing and pining of the true child of God!
.
And all those hungering and thirsting Believers will…
The Good News is that today is still the day of Salvation!
.
And all those who desire such a relationship with Jesus can begin to cry out for such soul-saving treasures of Christ’s knowledge and wisdom found hidden within the pages of the Bible.
that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust.”

WINTER CONSTELLATIONS
.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter.
.
Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story).
.
Orion, the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).
But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan.
.
The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.
.
This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark).
.
While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions.
.
It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.
.
The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars.
.
The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle.
.
The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of theDragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here).

The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch below left).

Yes, why do Christians still judge others?
.
Well, simply put, Satan doesn’t just go away, once we find our names on Heaven’s roster!
.
No, Satan will come at us any way he figures that he will find success in making us stumble and fall!
.
And because Satan well understands how reprehensible to God is the sin of judging others, Satan will first attempt to get us to begin judging others, even before tempting us in other types of sins.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Jeremiah 17:9
.
After all, we cannot know any individual’s heart! We don’t even know our own self-deceptive heart!
.
And neither do we know just how Satan is warring against any and every soul,
.
Yes, the Enemy of Souls is destroying this entire human race by bringing upon us manifold devastating life-issues and addictions!

One very helpful means of stopping our judging is to consider that Christ bled and died for each and every human soul!

He died for the rich and also for the poor! Christ died for the rich man, poor man, beggar man, and thief!

“JUDGE NOT, AND YE SHALL NOT BE JUDGED!”

Listen…“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven” Luke 6:37
.
Now if this verse doesn’t send chills through our soul, nothing will!
.
It is a command with an implied threat!
.
In other words, if we don’t want to be judged nor condemned by God, then we had better put away all judging of any other individual’s heart!
.
And even if we believe that it is our duty to blow the trumpet and declare the iniquity in God’s house, we should only do so in the spirit of great fear and trembling, knowing that we too have the same sins in our own heart!
One great problem with listening to Satan’s whisperings, is that this is how this “Accuser of our brethren” gains access into our hearts and minds.

And once we allow him access, he often begins to torment us with all sorts of “evil surmisings” about the motives of others. (Revelation 12:10 & 1st Timothy 6:4)
.
We must remember the Wise Man’s advice…
…”Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil.”

Yes, to guard the avenues to the soul, not allowing Satan any access, is our first and foremost duty!

But today’s devotional would like to offer one little practical tip which might help during some temptation to judge another soul.
.
Whenever we catch ourselves judging some individual, try to begin to pray for that person’s Salvation.
.
For just one small example, when walking through a store, and I realize that I’m judging another customer or employee, I need to instantly begin quietly asking the Lord for that person’s Salvation!
.
And hopefully, our praying for them just might bring my judging to a speedy end!

Well, many earthly reasons have been offered to explain this pandemic madness, such as…
…”It’s all about power and politics!”…
… or they will say, “Follow the money!”…
…or, “They’re all a bunch of Nazis!”…
…or even, “They’re all about totalitarian control!”
.
And perhaps there is much truth to the underlying reasons for why that pandemic had been handled like no other pandemic, even though many of the pandemics of yesteryear were much more deadly.
“….ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”
Ephesians 2:2
.
But still having on our heavenly “Son-glasses”, we understand that it is much more than mere humans orchestrating this great pandemic paradigm-shift!
.
No, but rather, it is, “the Prince of the Power of the Air, that spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience”(the unsaved citizens of this antichrist world-system), as he works in and through government leaders and today’s complicit/corrupt media!
The prophet, Habakkuk, speaks of the very frightful hour in which we now find ourselves…
…”Why dost Thou shew me iniquity,
and cause me to behold grievance?
for spoiling and violence are before me:
and there are that raise up strife and contention…
for the wicked doth compass about the righteous;
therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.”

Here we see that God knew all about this current situation!

He knows the end from the beginning, and counsels us, that when this hour does come…
…”And the LORD answered me,
and said, Write the vision,
and make it plain upon tables,
that he may run that readeth it…
For it is yet for an appointed time,
but at the end it shall speak…”
Habakkuk 2:2, 3
.
Here is the plain warning for God’s people to “RUN!”, when we see this overwhelming tsunami of wickedness beginning to overflow the world and the churches!
Well, God’s people must flee to the spiritual mountains, just as Lot fled to the literal mountain, from the impending destruction of ancient Sodom!
.
But the Good News in all this bad report is, that, “He shall dwell on high…bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.” Isaiah 33:16
.
Yes, on our spiritual Mount Sion of refuge, God will abundantly supply our heavenly bread (of His life-giving Word) and the merciful waters of His grace, as we are now commanded to “flee from the wrath to come”! Matthew 3:7
But the long oval-shaped body has relatively few stars, but can been seen, howbeit with a dark starry night.

The four stars of the front fins are made partially of Taurus.

This Dragon constellation appears in the eastern horizon about mid-summer in the pre-dawn hours, spewing his flood-waters northward toward the Woman of Revelation 12 (Woman in Travail).

But we all have things which are valuable to us, and do not want to give up.

…or our lavish lifestyle…

…or our political talk shows…
…or we idolize our children…
…or our houses, cars and lands…
…or our hobbies…
…or our wanderlust…
…or our sensual music…
…or our expensive or even our sensual-looking apparel…

Well, you get the picture! This list could go on and on!

“THEY FORSOOK ALL AND FOLLOWED HIM”

Now in contrast, let’s consider the disciples who truly followed Jesus…“And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed Him.” Luke 5:11

These disciples forsook all, in order to follow Jesus. And Jesus asks no less of us!
.
Oh yes, we must work and live and provide for our family’s needs and happiness.
.
But there are many who use this as a cloak to hide under, as they continue to pursue their own personal worldly lusts.
But how do we forsake all? Do we quit our job and trash all our belongings?
.
No, but what God wants is for His children to begin the journey out of this world and upward on the gently ascending pathway which leads to the heavenly City of God!

And as we study and learn more and more about the Father and His Son, the less will we love the things of this selfish, fallen world-in-rebellion…
.
It is like the old song…
…”Turn your eyes upon Jesus!
Look full in His wonderful face!
And the things of the world will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace!”

The more we grow to love Jesus, the less will we regard the things of this present, antichrist world-system!
And so, the call goes out to both you and me, to turn our backs on all the little treasures and selfish pleasures of the world and begin to walk that upward pathway!

And let’s face it! This world will soon pass away!

So why not invest in Heaven’s real estate!

Why not trade away this world for the world to come?

Because that soon-coming kingdom will never pass away!

FIVE WISE VIRGINS STARS
.
This constellation was identified on May 22nd, 2014.
.
It is simply five stars, two from the Serpens Constellation, and three from the Hercules Constellation.
.
What gives this constellation impetus and significance is that it appears as five evenly positioned stars, in a slight oval pattern, as if they were sitting in a meeting, listening, or perhaps watching someone.
.
Second, they appear to be gathered in front of The Crown of Revelation 12 Constellation. (just below Corona Borealis in this Wikipedia star-chart, in which the editor of this site sketched in these two constellations)
The position of these stars is significant in a number of ways. The first, being that these Five Wise Virgins are gathered around the 12-star Crown of Revelation 12.

And the obvious message here is, that these wise virgins represent the faithful portion of God’s Church.

And as wise virgins, they understand the importance of winning the glorious crown of victory, which Jesus promised.

And so, God is showing us the difference between the wise and the foolish in His Church.

A number of radio question/answer talk-show hosts often get asked the following question…“I’m afraid that my spouse is unsaved, even though we both faithfully attend church together!”

However, the reason why many church-attendees never seem to see their tear-filled prayers for their spouse get answered is most likely found in Lamentations…“Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.” Lamentations 3:40

The fact is, this above sentence from Lamentations 3:40 gets largely ignored by most parishioners in today’s super-affluent society.

God purposely allows an unsaved loved-one to remain in an unsaved condition, so as to hopefully drive that worldly-minded church parishioner to his or her knees, crying out for a deeper 100% devotion to Heaven.

The needy soul must continue in this kind of heart-felt supplication until the assurance of Salvation is fully realized!
Unfortunately, in today’s apostate church-community, this truth is not being properly emblazoned upon the hearts of parishioners, even as it is written…“O My people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” Isaiah 3:12

Yes, today’s churches are misleading their flocks, causing them to remain in ignorance of the true Heaven-blessed remedy for their unsaved loved-one!
But for those who dare come out of the current church-wide apostasy, they just might begin to finally and fully renounce this, the Devil’s kingdom of selfishness.

After all, if a person isn’t happy, they obviously won’t find true happiness pretending to be another gender.

We get out of bed in the morning, barely cognizant that half the world’s inhabitants are really suffering, for one reason or another!

We drink our morning coffee, without a thought for the millions who are being kidnapped and sold into slavery, both in this society and around the world!

And as we drive down to the mall, we hardly consider how many elderly ones are sitting alone at home, in their dark room, hurting and suffering in one way or another.

And we turn our head the other direction to avoid meeting eyes with that beggar on the corner, whose body and mind has been ravaged by years of alcohol and/or drug abuse.

.
And as we wander from mall to mall, there are many living with little or no hope, all because that cruel iron citadel known as “atheism” has left them without any hope for the future!

We place our order at the drive-thru window, with little thought for the starving multitudes who can just barely hang on for another day, merely existing in their world of stark and cruel scarcity, sometimes even eating the dung of animals, just to survive!

And we hurry home from church service to catch that big game, blissfully ignorant that hundreds of thousands of unsaved souls are slipping down into their Christless graves each and every day, hopelessly lost for all eternity!

And as we lie down each night seemingly safe and secure in our nicely appointed homes, we do not realize that a great portion of the world are being savagely displaced by Satan’s cruel armies, having to flee to wherever they can find refuge!
But there is a bright ray of hope piercing through the Stygian darkness of this hopeless world!

Yes, the Lord is now calling out a people to stand on behalf of all those who are held captives in the chains of darkness which envelop this sad world!

Yes, God has called us to enter by faith into His heavenly throne room, to be co-priests with Jesus as He ministers before the Ark in the Most Holy Place!

Oh what a joy the Holy Spirit places in our heart as we lay down our lives for the One who laid down His life for us!

THE 7 STARS IMITATE THE CROSS OF ORION

Jesus says to us all… “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” John 13:15.

This concept is written in the heavens. God has placed the stars in such a way that tells this marvelous concept of lifting up the Cross of Christ: self-sacrificing love for Mankind.

First, Orion, representing Christ, lifts up the Cross.

Then, just a little later, the 7 Stars Constellation, representing God’s Church finally lifts up the Cross, seemingly in response to Orion’s prior example.

These two brightest of constellations represent the two greatest concepts of life: Christ and His Church.

No, not a particular denomination. But God’s True Worshippers, wherever they may be interspersed among the inhabitants of the world.

Well, the world has its sayings! And one of them is the following…“If you can’t kill the message, then kill the messenger!”

And of course, in his role as Satan, Lucifer even “demonized” the Lord Jesus, so much so, that this deceived world hatefully hung the “Lord of Glory”, “The Prince of Life” upon the cruel Cross of Calvary!
Needless to say, Satan is the master of “crucifying the messenger”!
.
And even in today’s political and social realms, it is not uncommon to see this same tactic being successfully used to destroy one’s political enemies.
.
And daily, as we witness so much venomous hatred, it is obvious that demonizing one’s enemies seems to have now become one of society’s favorite sports!
.
Every day we hear that this or that person or this or that group are “Nazis”, or “Fascists”, or “Hitlerian”, or “communists”, or “bigots”, or “racists”, or some other derogatory tag!
‘CRUCIFYING THE MESSENGER’ IN THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY
.
Well, if this sad practice were just confined to the secular world, one might only shrug the shoulders and confess, “Well, the unsaved world is merely behaving as one might expect!”
.
But this ungodly practice of “killing the messenger” is also occurring within today’s Christian community!
.
Yes, even the Christian world is now engaging in the very same unholy practice of demonizing the supposed enemies of the so-called “orthodoxy”.
For instance, the mainstream Christian leaders have concocted such derogatory terms as “Replacement Theology”, as a sort of “Scarlet Letter”.
.
Yes, this negative tag is constantly hung around the necks of all those who dare to teach that the true Israel of the New Testament is comprised of both Jews and Gentiles who have begun to trust in Christ as their Savior.
.
And this man-contrived term has been hammered into unsanctified consciences on a 24/7/265 basis via both Christian TV and Christian radio.
.
These leaders of the people know they can’t biblically destroy the message, and so, they merely destroy the messenger!
.
They did it to Christ, and they’ll do it to His people as well!
Of course, there was no greater advocate of “spiritual Israel” than the Apostle, Paul.
.
But his many various references to “the Commonwealth of Israel” and other such similar terms are all but ignored by most of today’s pastors and parishioners alike!
And they take this demonization even one step further by saying that these so-called “Replacement Theologians” are doing so out of hatred for literal Israel over there in the Middle East!
Many Consciences Are Now “seared as with a hot iron”
.
And so, the advocates of “spiritual Israel” have become successfully “demonized” in the minds of the majority of church-attendees…
.
…demonized to the point that it is nearly impossible to reach out to those hardened hearts whose consciences have been “seared as with a hot iron”, by their leaders. (see 1st Timothy 4:2)
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
2nd Timothy 3:13
.
Well, this is merely one example of the demonization now occurring within Christian community.
.
And as the Day of the Lord begins to further escalate, one can only expect this unholy practice of “killing the messenger” to increase both in frequency, and also in intensity!
But amidst all this unhappy news, there is some very Good News for God’s people!
.
Yes, as sin abounds in the world, the “grace did much more abound!” (see Romans 5:20)
.
And as Satan and his fallen angels turn their “guns” on God’s tried and true little flock, the grace of God will abound in their hearts…
.
…as they victoriously deflect Satan’s fiery darts with their highly polished “shield of faith!” (see Ephesians 6:14-18)
.
Yes, Satan will increasingly work through unsanctified minds to demonize God’s people by any means possible!
.
And yet, as the last trumpet sounds, the enemies of God will ultimately drop their weapons in speechless, terrified awe!
.
And that uplifted Cross will ultimately vanquish and destroy the armies of Satan, bringing this long night of Hell’s rebellion against Heaven to its final climactic end!

THE 7 STARS IMITATE THE CROSS OF ORION
.
Jesus came to this Earth to give His life a ransom for many.
.
But He also came to take up His Cross as the example of how we should also love one another.
.
And He says to us all… “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” John 13:15.
.
This concept is written in the heavens. God has placed the stars in such a way that tells this marvelous concept of lifting up the Cross of Christ: self-sacrificing love for Mankind.
.
First, Orion, representing Christ, lifts up the Cross.
.
Then, just a little later, the 7 Stars Constellation, representing God’s Church finally lifts up the Cross, seemingly in response to Orion’s prior example.
.
These two constellations are the two brightest and most prominent constellations in the winter-night sky.
.
And they represent the two greatest concepts of life: Christ and His Church. No, not a particular denomination.
.
But God’s True Worshippers, wherever they may be interspersed among the inhabitants of the world.
.

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration into another area of concern.

Let’s review the key Bible passage…
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea:
who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews.
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,
in that they received the word with all readiness of mind,
Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:
.
1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”
.
2.“And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
.
Yes, those noble Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.
.
Thus, there was an open-mindedness which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to search the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!
Though Ellen White’s and Harold Camping’s ministries both seemed out of time, especially Ellen White’s, given far back in the 1800’s, it is nonetheless true that their messages were compatible with each other.
.
And those two messages were likewise compatible with this current 3rd Angel’s message, revealed in the Sun, Moon, and stars. (See Luke 21:25 for “Sun, Moon, and stars” reference)

VERY DECEPTIVE COUNTERFEIT

Oh yes, there seems to be an excitement in many churches!

And yet, it is an excitement NOT borne of the Holy Spirit, but rather of a counterfeit origin, even as it is written…
…”For false Christs and false prophets shall rise,
and shall shew signs and wonders,
to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”
Mark 13:22
.
Yes, the Bible forewarned of a last-day counterfeit Holy Spirit movement, working within the fallen churches!

Satan must raise up a counterfeit holy spirit within the apostate churches, so as to cover up the church-wide apostasy as best as he can.

And actually, his counterfeits will “deceive, if possible, even the elect!” Mark 13:22

And so, these are very clever and deceptive counterfeits!

Camping & White Both in Agreement
.
But both Harold Camping, and even Ellen White, back in her day saw that apostasy, and trumpeted the call, that “Babylon is fallen is fallen”…
.
And even though Ellen White’s 70-year ministry presented all three angel’s messages to a certain degree, Harold Camping’s 50-year ministry further amplified those three messages.
.
And, of course, these messages are even more fully amplified by the 3rd Angel’s message, now being revealed in the Sun, Moon, and stars!

THREE ANGEL’S MESSAGES FOR THIS VERY HOUR

But make no mistake, the Three Angel’s Messages, though first presented in former decades…

…yet these messages are primarily for these present closing hours, to be followed by the Second Coming of Christ “on the Last Day!”

In other words, the message of the 3rd Angel will be heard with “a loud voice”, and will be the final plea and call to repentance to the human race.

But the very Good News is, that this agreement between Camping’s ministry and White’s ministry puts a great big giant exclamation mark on the validity of both these two ministries!

A MODERN-DAY SANTA
.
A certain popular “Christian” speaker in today’s religious scene has developed his own version of the Gospel in which he has eliminated most all of the negativity of the Bible.
.
He doesn’t criticize any individual, nor any religion.
.
He’s extremely pleasant.
.
And in a spiritual sense, he’s loaded with a giant bag of gifts which he hands out to all who will listen to his gospel.
First of all, this very well-mannered and extremely polished speaker has developed his own gospel in which most of the negativity found so often in the Bible has been all but eliminated.
.
Actually, he is also much like that charismatic and precocious little girl in the movie (and book), Pollyanna, who decided to develop her own gospel based on the supposed 800 totally positive and 100% happy verses…
.
…every “hard saying” which she removed from the “otherwise negative book”, the Bible. John 6:60
.
Of course, that number, “800”, all-happy Bible verses, is a totally fabricated number, made up by the author of the book, “Pollyanna”
“PROPHESY NOT…RIGHT THINGS, SPEAK UNTO US SMOOTH THINGS…DECEITS”

Yes, that popular evangelist has his own version of Christianity in which he has eliminated just about anything that is offensive to the world, and even to the other religions of the world.

And that fact could very well be compared to “Santa’s bag of gifts!”
.
In other words, this evangelist brings out something for everyone!
.
For the Eastern religions, he has mingled some spiritualism into his gospel.
.
For the Christian look-alike denominations, he speaks of lighting candles and ringing bells, etc…
.
For socialists, he’s all about giving to those in need!
.
For those who want to pursue money, material goods, and ambitious careers, his own personal lavish lifestyle only proves that he has no problem with that!
.
And for those who love their sports and hobbies, so does he, spending hours per week engaging his followers in his own favorite sport!
.
And for those who want to cling to their sexual lifestyles, he thinks that those “2,000 year old writings” (this is how he refers to the Bible), should be set aside to accommodate the ever-changing social mores of our current-day society.
.
Yes, this “smoother-than-butter” evangelist accepts just about any and every thing which society accepts!
“THEY DO ALSO (WREST) THE OTHER SCRIPTURES, UNTO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION”
2nd Peter 3:16
.
And to complete his very own “designer gospel”, this man has masterfully interpreted the Bible to accommodate his own ecumenical beliefs.
.
Yes, he even has gifts for those who try to faithfully adhere to the Bible, to some degree.
.
And he speaks “reverently” about the Bible quite often, all the while wrestling away the true meaning of many verses…
.
…and twisting scripture until it almost seems to come out supporting the current-day popular ideologies, philosophies and politically-correct maxims of this modern society.

Now, in contrast to this religious figure, is the life of Jesus, the life of Paul, as well as Peter and the rest of the apostles.

While this politically-correct evangelist has twisted the Bible to accommodate society’s selfish and erroneous ways, the true followers of Jesus, such as Paul, etc., conformed their lives to the life of Jesus.

They did not interpret the Bible by philosophizing about it, but strictly compared scripture with scripture, “spiritual things with spiritual”, “precept upon precept”…
.
…comparing them in hopes of transforming their lives into the image of Jesus Christ. (See 1st Corinthians 2:13 & Isaiah 28:10)
Unfortunately, there is a growing ecumenical movement afoot today, which is sweeping away various denominations which once attempted to faithfully adhere to “sola-scriptura”, “the Bible only”!

Oh yes, such “Santa Claus” preachers are obviously going to attract large followings when they preach such a Pollyannish, “feel-good” gospel!
But this phenomenon called ecumenism (and those who advocate such an unbiblical “coming-together”), is just one more reason why God is calling out His true worshippers to…
…”Come out of her (spiritual Babylon), My people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
Revelation 18:4

And even though the remnant people who do join this end-time exodus will no longer enjoy the social advantages of their local congregation…
.
…yet, they will nevertheless find an abundant supply of heavenly bread and spiritual waters upon the mountains of refuge in the day of their flight!
“Dear Lord, Give me a love for truth, so much so, that I begin to search the Bible for truth, no longer listening to these “feel-good” preachers of the prosperity-driven gospels…

The Revelation 12 Dragon Constellation can be located by finding Orion in winter months.

The Dragon is to Orion’s left, and the Dragon’s mouth is right next to Orion’s shield.

This Dragon’s mouth is the V-like constellation The Hyades Cluster, which is also known as the head of Taurus the Bull.
.
The Dragon’s tail-tip is Pleiades and the lower shaft of his tail is partly of Ariesand Pisces.
.
Then with aid of a dark and starry night, you may begin to connect the mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape.
.
The front and back legs are made of a few stars: the front legs partially of stars from Taurus.
.
The back legs and rear fin are made of 6 stars from the CetusConstellation.

The long oval-shaped body has relatively few stars, but can been seen, howbeit with a dark, starry night.

One popular evangelist has been calling for the Church to accept homosexuality as well as same-gender marriage.
.
Of course, because of his currently popular stance on this issue, this erring Bible teacher has found great acceptance and even praise from the secular world.
And so, the question of the day is, “Just where is this man going wrong?”
.
Oh yes, of course the Bible condemns the sin of Sodom in “going after strange flesh”. (see Jude 1:7) And right here, this man’s false teaching proves to be nothing less than heresy.
.
But this pastor defends his error by saying, “Are some 2,000-year-old writings more important than the needs of humans living right now? Are we going to deny these people the right to love another human (of the same-gender)?”
.
And by this man’s own human reasoning, many churches are beginning to accept homosexuality and even same-gender marriage in their church!
“BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD WAS UNTO THEM…THAT THEY MIGHT GO…BACKWARD, AND BE BROKEN, AND SNARED, AND TAKEN…”
Isaiah 28:13
.
Well, by his own words, this erring teacher condemns himself, for another very critically important reason.
.
And just what is that critically important reason?
.
Oh yes, by calling the Bible, “some 2,000-year-old letters”, this popular Bible teacher reveals his true stance concerning God’s infallible Word of truth: he really doesn’t trust it, nor believes it to be “the Word of God”!
“(GOD) IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK…”
Ephesians 3:20
.
But there is another great error by this false shepherd which is much bigger than just his own ministry.
.
As a matter of fact, this great error can be found in a growing number of churches and denominations.
.
What this poor man does not understand, and what many or perhaps most churches today do not understand, is that Kingdom of Heaven is all about living the victorious life over sin!
.
Christianity is all about overcoming the world, the flesh and the Devil!
.
And these churches who want to capitulate to the currently popular societal dogma concerning sodomy, are defeated, “before they even get out of the gate”, (to use an old expression).
.
In other words, rather than encouraging their parishioners to strive for victory over sin, they instead take the attitude that these sins are impossible to conquer!
This current-day situation is reminiscent of the true historical account from Numbers 13, in which God’s people lost their courage to go in and take the Promised Land…
“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses,
and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it (the Promised Land);
for we are well able to overcome it.
But the men that went up with him said,
We be not able to go up against the people;
for they are stronger than we.”
Numbers 13:30, 31
.
These current-day teachers who are ready to lie down and accept these sins, are committing the very same sin as those defeated spies…
.
…the faithless spies who told the Israelites that the giants in the land were too big, too bad, and too strong to ever hope to conquer!
.
And today’s secular world is so forcefully pushing these abominations upon the society, and especially upon children, that the Church, to a great extent, is ready to roll over and accept defeat.

Well, the Good News is that God is ready to bring His people into total victory over sin!

And while the apostate portion of the Church is about to go down in utter defeat…

…yet, God’s true sheep are about to receive God’s great blessing in the sight of the whole on-looking world!

ORION GETS THE VICTORY

Now if you will stay up all night, you will see that the tables turn very dramatically for our three warriors.
.
This is because, as night progresses, and this constellation group moves to the west, God has designed this threesome to now be in the opposite circumstance.
.
Now it is Orion and his Horse who are atop the Dragon.
.
Now Orion is about to cut off the Dragon’s head with his two-edged sword, while the Horse is stomping on his tail.
.
And of course, there needs to be no explanation, because this picture tells the whole story.
.
Jesus wins in the end! God’s people are victorious at last!
.
No wonder the Bible calls this story…“The Good News”!

Remember the expression, “His luck just finally ran out”? Or even a newer expression might now be, “He lost his mojo!”

Well, we live in a world in which so many of us are teetering on the brink of some type of disaster!

And these two above common sayings are often said about some “unfortunate” individual whose days of prosperity have come to a sudden halt for one reason or another.
For example, just look at the entertainment industry in which a “star is born” seemingly each new day, while another star just seems to be falling into oblivion or obscurity!
.
Or maybe some song-writing mega-star suddenly loses his or her inspiration, and can no longer compose another hit tune.
.
Or the public tires of this or that band and simply moves on to the next up-and-coming musical act.
.
Or a successful movie producer begins producing flop after flop.
.
Or a successful leader of some great kingdom eventually loses his “Midas touch” and his kingdom finally and tragically crumbles.
.
Or a celebrated actor’s movies begin to flop at the box office.
.
Or even in the sports world, a winning person or team just can’t seem to win anymore.
.
Well, the popular phrase is: “They just seem to have lost their mojo!” (‘Mojo’ referring to some type of voodoo ‘lucky charm’.)
Well, once again, the people of the world seem to have a wisdom that ofttimes surpasses the wisdom found in the church-world, as Jesus said in Luke 16:8…
“for the children of this world are in their generation
wiser than the children of light.”
.
Yes, “the god of this world” has far more to do with life’s winners and losers than people might imagine, much less are willing to admit! (2nd Corinthians 4:4)
“The (Antichrist) spirit that now works in the children of disobedience…For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft…”

After all, Satan is no innocent bystander, as many suppose.
.
No, just the opposite! That relentless foe of Heaven doesn’t leave anything up to chance!
.
He and his fellow soldiers are working hard, around the clock, as it states in Ephesians 2:2…
…”Wherein in time past ye (true Believers)
walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that NOW WORKETH IN THE CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE”

Here is a chilling concept, perhaps the most egregious truth in all of Scripture!

To realize that the citizens of this world are indwelt by the “spirit of Antichrist” is totally unacceptable to most people! (1st John 4:3)

And yet, they instinctively understand that it is the same unseen source of voodoo magic (mojo) which likewise brings worldly success to so many inspired artists, to so many winning teams, and to so many successful businesspeople!
.
1st Samuel 15:23 says…“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft…”
“AND TO WHOMSOEVER I WILL, I (SATAN) GIVE IT (WORLDLY POWER & GLORY)”
Luke 4:6

Of course, it’s not really magic that makes or breaks a person’s seemingly good fortune.
.
Yes, let’s not forget that Satan is “the god of this world”, and he is the “prince of the power of the air, that spirit which now works in the children of disobedience”!
.
And as such, the people of this world (whether secularists or world-loving churchgoers) are being worked by the indwelling spirit of Antichrist.
.
Therefore, let’s be ” not ignorant of his (the Devil’s) devices”! (2nd Corinthians 2:11)
.
And so, does anyone fall from his or her seemingly charmed life without the aid of “the god of this world”?
.
Or, perhaps a more important question to ask is, “does anyone ever attain to a charmed life in this world WITHOUT the help of the ‘god of this world?'”
Now having said all this, there are certain catastrophic circumstances which cause people to fail in life, in which Satan may not be directly connected.
.
Tragic circumstances such as illness and death are not necessarily the direct result of Satan’s attacks.
.
On the other hand, the Bible often reveals that both mental and physical illness can be the product of Satan, such as Job’s physical illness and the death of his ten children.
.
And both Testaments present many accounts of demonically-induced so-called ‘mental illnesses’.
And let’s not forget that in the true account of Job, the Bible ‘pulls back the curtain’, so to speak, to reveal that Satan can only do what God permits him to do.
.
In other words, God allowed Satan to plague Job’s life, so that Job’s inward wickedness was eventually vanquished out of his heart forever!
.
And in the happy ending to Job’s story, God graciously restored all that Job had lost: his children and his possessions were two-fold restored!
Well, maybe the Reader of this devotional knows from personal experience what the world refers to as “losing his or her mojo”.
.
Maybe the Reader once “had it all” by the world’s standard, but eventually lost it all!
.
And so, with this additional revelation, it becomes even more imperative to reach out to the only One who can turn our worldly failures into Heavenly victory!

…these in the form of his three-fold office of The Dragon of Revelation 12, as well as the two Beasts of Revelation 13…

“BEHOLD I COME AS A THIEF!”

Now in this solemn warning of Revelation 16:12-15, the Lord proclaims that…
“Behold, I come as a thief.
Blessed is he that watcheth,
and keepeth his garments,
lest he walk naked,
and they see his shame.”
.
And yet, His coming “as a thief” is not to be confused with Christ’s coming in the clouds of glory on the last day, when “every eye shall see Him”.
.
But rather, Christ here is coming as “a thief in the night” to put His blessing or His curse on those who profess to love and serve Him.
.
You could perhaps say that they are merely two phases of the same event: “the coming of the Lord” 1st Thessalonians 4:15
.
To the first group He is coming as “the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings.” Malachi 4:2.
.
Peter says the same thing in this way…
…”We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
whereunto ye do well that ye take heed,
as unto a light that shineth in a dark place,
until the day dawn,
and the day star arise in your hearts:”

“LET MY PEOPLE GO”
.
The plagues poured out in Revelation 16 are similar to those poured out upon the Egyptians in the Book of Exodus.
.
But what was the purpose of pouring out those plagues. Listen to God as He speaks to Pharaoh through Moses and Aaron…“Else, if thou refuse to let My people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:” Exodus 10:4
.
The point is, these plagues were to cause Pharaoh to finally allow God’s people to leave Egypt to serve God alone, no longer held in Bondage to slavery.
.
Likewise, the plagues prophesied in Revelation are to drive Satan (the true King of Egypt) completely out of the hearts of God’s people, allowing His people to serve God and God alone!
.
And so, this whole nonsense that all the torment and plagues mentioned in Revelation are for the mere sake of causing fallen Mankind to suffer, is a product of unsanctified theologians.
No, it doesn’t have to be such a sad ending! Because the Good News is that we are still living in a day in which the doors of mercy are open to all who will come in!
.
But what must take place is for each and every professor of Christ to decide which world they will live for: this present fallen world of bondage to sin, or to the unfallen city above, The New Jerusalem, the mother of all true worshipers of God! (see Galatians 4:21-26)
.

This above verse is even more explicit than the previous verse from 2nd Peter 2:6, in condemning the very sin of, “fornication and going after strange flesh.” Jude 1:7
“RECEIVING…THAT RECOMPENCE OF THEIR ERROR WHICH WAS MEET (APPROPRIATE)”
.
So again, is the act of “men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet” the greatest of all sins? (see Romans 1:27)
.
Certainly, by the three verses just mentioned, one could build a case for that idea.
.
And considering how God “rained fire and brimstone down from Heaven and destroyed them all” in Sodom, one might justifiably get extremely nervous about participating in that sin, or even some similar sin, such as bestiality, fornication, or adultery!
But before we close our Bibles and say, “Amen and amen”, we need to take a moment to further examine what Scripture says considering the magnitude of various sins.

Listen to this…
…”And whosoever shall not receive you,
nor hear your words,
when ye depart out of that house or city,
shake off the dust of your feet.
Verily I say unto you,
It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha
in the day of judgment, than for that city.”

Oh, so here we have a greater sin than that which Sodom partook of! Rejecting the Word of God!

After all, Jesus was speaking to His disciples when He made this above statement!

And let’s face it! There are many in today’s Christianity who profess to love God, and yet reject God’s infallible Word, at least in part.
“O MY PEOPLE! IT IS THEY WHICH LEAD THEE THAT CAUSE THEE TO ERR AND DESTROY THE WAY OF THY PATHS!”
Isaiah 3:12

Here is the true Sodom! It is those in God’s house who teach the people to engage in any sin: these are the true “men of Sodom”!
.
And let’s face it! There are many false teachers in today’s Christendom who are leading the Christian community down, down, down into utter apostasy and ruin, even as Paul foretold in 2nd Timothy 4:3…
…”For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
LEADING THE CHURCH INTO SIN IS A GREAT CRIME AGAINST HEAVEN!

And so, the answer to today’s question, “Is sodomy the greatest sin?”, is“absolutely not!”

But apostate Bible teachers who promote and encourage the Church to embrace false doctrines and world-loving behavior of any type are definitely guilty of committing a very great and heinous crime against Heaven!
Well, the Good News is this: it is still the day of Salvation!

And all those who have been led astray by these false shepherds who manipulate Scripture to promote some sin, can still cry out for deliverance from these errors.

And instead, by the grace of God, they will, “walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1

Yes, they will begin to walk after the Ways of the Spirit, instead of walking according to the flesh.

And we have this wonderful promise…“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life…” Revelation 3:5

And let’s face it! If the children see the parents or siblings loving to read the Bible, they too might “catch the Spirit”, so to speak, and gain their own love for that soul-saving word-of-life gift from Heaven!

Yes, whatever the parents love will almost unfailingly “rub off” on the children!

And there is no greater homeschool than for the entire family to sit down together, armed with their own Bibles and simply read them together, or individually.
“Mine eyes do fail with tears…for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.”
Lamentations 2:11

This above verse from Lamentations is a lament by Jeremiah because of Satan’s destruction of the Church, both Old Testament and New.

And God exhibits His sorrow through Jeremiah’s tears because of the lack of Biblical instruction among Children, symbolized by their “swooning in the streets” from lack of heavenly nourishment.

And today, far too many parents are so invested in the pursuit of earthly pleasures and prosperity…

…that children are often left to themselves, to be largely educated by secularist programs and atheistic schooling.

“A LIVING SACRIFICE!”

Of course, the great problem with all this is, such a selfless Christlike endeavor requires laying one’s life down upon the altar, even as is written…

Yes, this above passage is the key to victorious Christianity!
Oh yes, it is much more appealing to our flesh, to simply run and hide in our own little comfortable place and leave the children to the television or to public schooling.

But God is now calling His people to come out of Babylon!
.
And a great part of that spiritual exodus is to hopefully bring the children out along with us, on that upward, heavenward pathway!
.
And if one spouse, along with the children, have already become world-loving, then perhaps all the Christian can do is to set the best example possible, while giving his or her own self unto prayer…“For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.” Psalm 109:4
.
Yes, to silently engage in unceasing prayer and the unrelenting search after the “exceeding great and precious promises” which are sprinkled throughout the Bible, can indeed be a powerful witness to all those in the family circle!

Thus, in addition to making a literal exodus out of the various apostate religious organizations, the Christian has been given the task of eliminating all the non-biblical jargon, false doctrines, prosperity gospels, and sensual worships, and the unspiritual rubbish which has cluttered “the way of holiness” for too long! (see Isaiah 35:8)
“FOOLISH TALK OR JESTING, WHICH ARE NOT CONVENIENT (NOT APPROPRIATE)”
Ephesians 5:4

As an example of all the non-biblical, worldly rubbish in the church-world, the Christian community has fully embraced comedy, both in the pulpit and in the pews.
.
But not only does Ephesians 5:2, 3 condemn “foolish talk and jesting”, but the lives of both Jesus and Paul (Paul being our mortal, earthly role-model) were 100% free of comedy, jesting, and mockery!
.
Oh yes, these two were filled daily with heavenly joy & peace! And yet, their words were totally serious in all gravity and sincerity!
“MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE!”
Hosea 4:6

Well, comedy is just one example of how worldly-minded professors of Christianity have compromised the purity of the Gospel with Babylonian doctrines.

And so, O Stranger & Pilgrim, we have our work cut out for us!

And as we fix our gaze Heavenward, our pathway of truth will be increasingly easier to discern! And the boundary-line between the truth and falsehood will become much more distinct.

Of course, Christians understand that this world is ruled over by, “the god of this world”, Satan, who once walked the hallowed halls of Heaven, prior to his rebellion.

But now, this powerful fallen angel has been cast down to this earth along with his fellow rebels, becoming the unseen dominate force behind all the misery and evil which enshrouds this planet, immersed in selfishness and myriad lusts.
.
And so, these unseen rulers have made it their sole purpose to deceive and destroy each and every human who has ever lived on this fallen planet!
Oh yes, perhaps rather than a soap opera, you might call today’s politics a ‘war’ or even ‘apolitical football game’!
.
But whatever analogy one uses to describe this daily drama, it nevertheless is what one political commentator described as, “The greatest show on earth: two scorpions in a…glass!”
.
Yes, there’s nothing so captivating like watching two opposing groups battling against each other!
“TAKE HEED…LEST…YOUR HEARTS BE OVERCHARGED WITH…THE CARES OF THIS LIFE…”

But for those who understand that this present world is ruled over by Lucifer, now called “Satan” and, “the god of this world”…

…this daily drama is just one more way to misdirect people away from the true focus of life: the Salvation of the soul!

In other words, the one thing that Satan cannot tolerate is to see people filling their hearts with the Bible knowledge of Jesus Christ.

And so, Satan has created this current-day world to become a cornucopia of pleasures and pursuits which distract and deter this world’s inhabitants away from the greatest pursuit in the universe: the Salvation of their own soul!
Thus, we should not be ignorant of Satan’s devices. And this relatively new voyeur-sport of politics is not happening by-whim-or-caprice.

No, but rather, “the god of this world” is carefully orchestrating the daily events to keep society fixated on this ongoing daily melodrama.

And Satan plays each side against the other, much like the puppet-master that he is!

One week, a bump to one side, and visa-versa the next week to keep all sides cheering for their “team”!

So why then, does there seem to be so many acts of charity, so many humanitarian programs, and so much comradery in this fallen world.

After all, if this world is truly Satan’s kingdom of sin, you would think that everyone would be a murderer, or a rapist, or a bank-robber, or a…whatever other crime one wishes to name!
Oh yes, there is no shortage of murderers, rapists, bank-robbers, etc…

But there are many others who are well-behaved, upstanding, hard-working, tax-paying, and moral people!

But what so many fail to consider is that the Bible refers to this world as “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof”! 2nd Timothy 3:5

Yes, the god of this world has given his kingdom a thin veneer of goodness as the means of masking the true nature of evil.
And so, Paul understood that the whole world was held in bondage to sin and Satan…
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth,
there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way,
they are together become unprofitable;
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre;
with their tongues they have used deceit;
the poison of asps is under their lips:
Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Destruction and misery are in their ways:
And the way of peace have they not known:

Now listen to this next verse from Jeremiah 17:9…“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

So here we have it! The human heart is “desperately wicked”, and yet is, “deceitful above all things: who can know it?”

Thus, we have the answer to our perplexing question: the love and humanitarian goodness of this world is, for the most part, the product of Satan’s deceptive spirit, “that spirit which now works in the children of disobedience” Ephesians 2:2

And so, Satan deceives the world into believing that they do not need God because they already have, “a form of godliness”.

In other words, society has a crude saying, “It’s as phony as a 3-dollar bill!”

“What!?”, most people will exclaim, “Are you trying to tell me that all the love and humanitarian goodness in society is the product of Satan!?”

Well, that’s what the Bible says…“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1st John 5:19

Yes, the WHOLE world lieth in wickedness, not just some!

Just consider the utter hypocrisy so often witnessed in today’s politics, as the leaders of the land attempt to show much mercy to one group…

…while at the same time, trampling on the rights and livelihood of another group, all in the name of so-called, “Political Correctness” or “equity”!

For example, just look at all today’s handwringing over some endangered species, or of some group of oppressed children, while at the same time cheering on the wholesale slaughter of millions of innocent children-in-the-womb, calling them “just a hunk of flesh”!

All such pretentious “tender mercies” are condemned by God, as He warns us against these erring, “do-gooders”…“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2nd Timothy 3:5
Well, in spite of this very bad news, there is some really Good News!

Yes, there is a way of escape from this totally evil condition in this entirely wicked world we live in!

Yes, the One who was slaughtered by all of us so-called “do-gooder” humans, has allowed His own sacrifice on that cruel Cross of Calvary, to become the payment for our sins and deliverance from our hypocrisies!

And He has opened up a fountain of grace, in which, if a man, woman, or child drinks freely from, that soul can become filled with true love and true goodness!

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.
.
The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).
.
And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).

So we have this 7 and 10 numbering.

And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent.

THE TWO BEASTS

Now, while Christians are confidently assuming that they will be snatched out of the world PRIOR to the appearing of the two beasts of Revelation 13, the fact is, those two beasts have been in the world for a very long time.

Listen to John 2:18…
“Little children, it is the last time:
and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come,
EVEN NOW are there many antichrists;
whereby we know that it is the last time.”
.
Yes, the two antichrist beasts have been around a very long time!
.
And they are in reality, the two forms of Satan’s attack on Christians and upon the unsaved multitudes!
But what modern-day theologians have forgotten is that the Bible uses, “beasts” to represent world-powers.

For instance, just a quick reading ofRevelation 17:8-12reveals that the antichrist beast is comprised of “kings and kingdoms”.
.
And while the 1st antichrist beast was prevalent during the Dark Ages, the 2nd beast represents what we’re going through right now!
.
Oh yes, the 1st beast, though mortally wounded by the newly-invented printing-press, churning out Bibles during those years, still lives on, though now greatly weakened.
Yes, Satan is now coming with great force (as the False Prophet, the 2nd beast of Revelation 13), to cause the world to worship and re-powering the wounded, but recuperating, 1st beast.

And armed with his new high-tech arsenal, this invisible world ruler can inscribe his fatal mark deeply upon the hearts of the unsuspecting multitudes.

SATAN DEADENS THE CONSCIENCE

And, by constantly repeating the same narrative, Satan can blunt and even deaden the conscience, eventually normalizing any sin he wishes to promote throughout society.

Listen…“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,
that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith…
having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
1st Timothy 4:1

Here is foretold of the day in which Satan will sear men’s consciences with a “hot iron” (1st Timothy 4:1).

This hot iron is actually Satan’s branding iron in which he engraves his mark upon the hearts of all who remain under his authority.

Well, if there is any Good News, it is only found in the escape route provided for any man, woman, or child who seeks to “flee from the wrath to come.” Matthew 3:7 & Luke 3:7

Yes, this escape route is spoken of by Isaiah…“And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness;” Isaiah 35:8

And all are encouraged to forsake this present world and begin to make their sojourn on that highway out of this world, and onward and upward toward the Celestial City of God!

Whenever people want to make a point by using the ultimate icon of Hell’s inhabitants, they often reach down for, arguably, the most despicable of all despots, Adolph Hitler.

Well, there’s no doubt, Adolph Hitler was truly a monster of a man!
.
And he did do an incredible amount of evil in a relatively short amount of time!
And it’s true! Yes, if Adolph’s crimes against humanity determined what place his permanent abode would be in the bottomless pit, he would definitely be right down there among the lowest of the low!
.
He deservedly is often considered to be the epitome of evil in this world of woe!
.
And if anyone is down there suffering the flames of Hell’s fires, surely Hitler is right there in the midst of them! (Of course, “Eternal Torment” is just one more false doctrine of the apostate churches — See September 8th (Eternal Torment?)
But even though, by man’s judgment, Adolph and Stalin and other similar despots are considered to be the ultimate sinners, nevertheless, God’s judgments are vastly different!

Listen to God’s assessment…
…”For man looketh on the outward appearance,
but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
1st Samuel 16:7
.
Here is revealed that only God can correctly judge the heart of sinners.

Only God’s infinite power and understanding are capable of correctly judging any and every human!

And Adolph Hitler is no exception!

Yes, on that great and terrible Day of Judgment in which the secrets of all hearts will be revealed, Adolph and other similar evil tyrants will stand side-by-side to receive their just reward from the infinite Searcher of Hearts.

Yes, it is an antichrist world! And until Christ Jesus saves us, we too have all walked…

Well, the Good News in all this can be found in such passages as this one from 1st Timothy 1:15…
“This is a faithful saying,
and worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;
of whom I am chief.”

Here is revealed that not only was Paul the chief of sinners, but we too can likewise say along with Paul…“Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners; of whom I am chief!”
And we likewise have a desperately wicked heart just as Jeremiah 17:9 reveals…“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Here again, Jeremiah is saying about the same thing that Paul says: our heart is“deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Isn’t it truly amazing to behold all the acts of pure hatred which have been occurring on a daily basis around the world…

…daily angry protests, enraged verbal attacks…
…name-calling, threats of violence…
…actual acts of violence, mob bullying and violence…
…beheadings, racism, bigotry…
…and bias by various ethnic groups against one-another…
…unjust and oppressive laws…
…forced political indoctrination in the school systems…
…kidnappings, deadly drugs, drug cartel violence…
…and many other similar violent acts are now “the new norm”?
.
And here is just another proof that the Bible is the prophetic Word of Truth, since it correctly foretold of the world’s condition in these last moments of time just prior to God’s final judgment!
But today’s devotional, while shining the spotlight on the tragic condition of today’s world would also like to reveal the way of escape from all this insane hatred.
.
Yes, there is a way of escape, which is found in Isaiah 26:20, 21…
“Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers,
and shut thy doors about thee:
hide thyself as it were for a little moment,
until the indignation be overpast.
For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity:
the earth also shall disclose her blood,
and shall no more cover her slain.”
.
Yes, as this above verse reveals, there is, “a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest;” Isaiah 32:30.
It is located in the southern sky. (Each night it appears a little earlier, slowly inching westward, through the summer, until it finally disappears below the western horizon in November.)
.
At first, it simply appears as two twin birds flying westward.
.
But if you look once again, it just might appear as a long box-like figure, with one star on the right, as you face it, and two stars on the left.
.
The box, of course would be the Ark, and the stars on either side would represent angels, which are sometimes referred to as stars in the Bible.
Just one area of society in which things are being turned upside down is the current war on the genders.
.
And equally amazing is how intelligent adult members of this supposedly moral society are such willing accomplices in the destruction of age-old moral standards.
.
You would think that these citizens would realize that they are helping to tear down the very fabric and foundation of this society (and deep down, they probably do!)
.
But of course, it is an antichrist world, and the people of this world can only do what their indwelling “satanic lord and master” drives them to do…“and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon (Satan)” Revelation 13:3, 4
.
Yes, this entire world worships Lucifer, “the god of this world”.
.
Therefore, as obedient prisoner-slaves, they must do his evil bidding, especially since he is, “the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”. Ephesians 2:2
But the responsibility for all this societal mayhem cannot be laid exclusively at the feet of the unsaved masses.
.
No, the Church of Christ must also share in the guilt for this whirlwind of destruction!
.
God’s poor deceived people, to a great degree, have been led into seeking after the vain pleasures and ambitious pursuits which abound in this decadent cornucopian super-society.
.
And so, it’s small wonder that Sodom is rising up all around us!
Here is a stinging condemnation of today’s church-community!

Never before in Church history have vast multitudes of God’s professed people lived in such a hedonistic and opulent society!

There are myriad more opportunities to get involved in the countless pleasures, ambitious pursuits now within just about every man’s reach!

SODOM RISING

And in the light of this awful judgment of God, the fearful warning now goes out to Christians, just like it went out long ago to Lot…“Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.” Genesis 19:17

Yes, even as Lot had to flee for his life on the morning of Sodom’s fiery deluge, so too, Christians must likewise flee from the wrath to come…to higher ground!

The Good News in all this, is that…
…”there shall be upon every high mountain,
and upon every high hill,

Yes, the towers of society (and of the church-world) are now falling all around us. God’s fiery wrath is now falling down upon the world (and the church-world).

But the Christian must not be afraid of making our end-time exodus out of this “ball of confusion and destruction”!

For he is assured the following great and precious promise…

And whenever the opportunity arises, a witness for Jesus is presented to some lost soul out there: in the supermarket, on the street, or at some event, etc…
Well, maybe it would be a good idea to observe what caused the downfall of God’s Old Testament people.

Listen… “for with their mouth they shew much love,
but their heart goeth after their covetousness…
for every one from the least even unto the greatest
is given to covetousness,
from the prophet even unto the priest
every one dealeth falsely.”
Ezekiel 33:31 & Jeremiah 8:10
.
Here is the crux of the problem which caused Old Testament Israel to fall: they lusted after the things of the world, and God finally gave them what they lusted after…Babylon!
Now here’s one more verse. This one concerns separation from unbelievers…
“But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you;
then it shall come to pass,
that those which ye let remain of them
shall be goads in your eyes,
and thorns in your sides,
and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you,
as I thought to do unto them.”
Numbers 33:55, 56

These three above passages from Ezekiel 33:31, Jeremiah 8:10, and Numbers 33:55, 56, really encapsulate the fundamental problem: coveting the things of the world and refusing to separate from unbelievers.

Now let’s move forward to New Testament spiritual Israel.

Unfortunately, these same three passages apply today to the Church, as much or even more so than for Old Testament Israel!

Yes, for the most part, God’s professed people today are:
1. given over to covetousness, and…
2. have not separated themselves from ungodly influences (as far as possible).
.
And though God sent the northern armies to literally carry away God’s people to actual Babylon, God has now allowed spiritual Babylon to rise up all around us, taking God’s people captive today, in a spiritual sense.
Now to mention just a few ways in which we’ve been taken captive.
.
First, the vast majority of Christian children attend public-schooling in which they are daily indoctrinated into atheistic philosophies and other heathen behaviors of the world.
.
Instead of studying the Bible and learning the history of the Church through the past 2,000 years, Christian children learn the ways of the world, and a secularized version of history, completely void of the plight of God’s people through the centuries.
“OH MY PEOPLE, THEY WHICH LEAD THEE, CAUSE THEE TO ERR…”
Isaiah 3:12

And then, the Church has not properly warned its parishioners of the dangers of watching television and other “evil communications”. (see 1st Corinthians 15:33)

And instead of separating from unbelievers, today’s churches actually encourage worldly relationships! (see 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18)

In contrast to the sad and apostate condition of today’s church-world, the early Church was wholly given to:
1. getting out the Gospel, and…
2. the transforming of the soul into the image of Christ.

And there was no attempt to have Jesus while still seeking after the pleasures and treasures of the world, as is commonly done today.

They were 100% dedicated to the Gospel! The entire family!
Well, this devotional is too short to present a full litany of the abominations which has caused God’s Spirit to finally vacate today’s churches and denominations…

…which has allowed them to become gobbled up and assimilated by this Babylon world.

There’s just not enough time to list the various wrong doctrines now being taught, nor of the compromised worldly worship services, etc…

But today’s devotional has presented just a few of the basic reasons why God is now calling His people out of the Babylonish churches, warning them to flee to the “mountain of His holiness”. Psalm 48:1

And let’s face it, there are many selfish pleasures and ambitious pursuits which the Christian world has deemed, “acceptable”.

And so, in most local congregations, these “acceptable” worldly desires are taken for granted as being “fair game” for the parishioners to pursue.

Such pursuits as social clubs, nicer cars, nicer homes, more motorized “toys”, television, secular radio, novels, hobbies, sports, wanderlust, prestigious careers and a host of similar worldly indulgences.

“EARTHLY, SENSUAL, DEVILISH”
James 3:15

And beside these individual pursuits, the churches and denominations have compromised today’s worship services…
…with stylish and sensual music…
…comedians in the pulpit…
…laughing and joking and common talk in the sanctuary…
…sensual dress…
…church-traditions (and false doctrines)…
…and other similar common behavior.

In other words, individually and collectively, this is the essence of the prosperity-driven gospel now embraced pretty much throughout the churches and denominations.
.
And it is found in both liberal and conservative churches alike!
and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys,
all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.”
.
Here in Ezekiel 7:16 is a poetic, allegorical picture of God’s people as they separate themselves from the great apostasy which has left the churches and denominations desolate.
.
These faithful ones are fully aware of how unchristlike they are!
.
They fully understand how they too have lusted after the gods of this world, just like their fellow apostate parishioners have done.
.
But unlike the adulterous portion of the Church, these faithful ones fall to their knees (spiritually) and tearfully plead for the Lord’s great mercy and forgiveness.
.
They loathe themselves for their sins and beg for spiritual renewal and Christlike restoration!
Well, this is just one more reason to come out of the harlot “City of Confusion”, Babylon (the apostate church-world).

And the Good News is, that God has provided abundant spiritual bread and waters of grace, just as is written…
“And there shall be upon every high mountain,
and upon every high hill,
rivers and streams of waters
in the day of the great slaughter,
when the towers fall. “
(Isaiah 30:25)

And those who do finally escape to the “mountain of His holiness” will be filled with Christ’s righteousness that they have been hoping and praying for, for such a long, long time!
And how can this be, that nobody has ever seen the Pleiades as a constellation of a woman?

Well, for one thing, the Bible often speaks of night as a time of spiritual darkness…“Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” 1st Thessalonians 5:5

So here we have the answer to this mysterious pronouncement by the watchman!
.
The morning symbolizes the light of the Gospel of Christ while the night symbolizes the spiritual darkness which covers those who are still lost and without Jesus.
So here is revealed that the “day dawn” is speaking of a very special spiritual morning in which God’s people will be enlightened when…“the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings…” (see Malachi 4:2)
.
Yes, this “dawning of the day” is a time when God’s people finally achieve victory over self.
.
It is the time when the walls of our selfishness will come tumbling down as surely as did those walls of Jericho!
“BEHOLD, THE DARKNESS SHALL COVER THE EARTH, AND GROSS DARKNESS THE PEOPLE”
Isaiah 60:2
.
But even though it is a glorious morning for God’s true worshipers, it is a time of utter darkness for those who refuse to come out of the “City of Confusion”, Babylon, the harlot church! (see Isaiah 21:8, 9)
.
Now of course, Satan has been allowed to move in and replace the true Holy Spirit which has been taken out of the midst of the church-world.
.
And this arch-deceiver has been permitted to come with “all power and signs and lying wonders,” 2nd Thessalonians 2:9.
“FALSE CHRISTS AND FALSE PROPHETS…SHALL DECEIVE, IF POSSIBLE, THE VERY ELECT”
Matthew 24:24

Yes, Satan will counterfeit the workings of God so closely, that his so-called “ministers of righteousness”, will perform, “signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”
(see 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15 & Mark 13:22)

And isn’t that what we’re seeing today?
.
After all, aren’t the local congregations and denominations filled with happy people, many carrying their Bibles, baptized, and singing, and praising, seemingly doing everything that churchgoers should do?
And yet, Satan’s deceptions are a very close counterfeit to the true Gospel, so close that it “will deceive if possible, even the elect” and chosen people of God.

But ultimately, the elect will finally wake up to the deception all around them and will finally come out to take their stand with the faithful remnant people of God.
Yes, “God will Save His people from their sins”. Matthew 1:21
.
And the call is now going out…
…”I heard another voice from Heaven,
saying, Come out of her, My people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
Revelation 18:4

Yes, this above verse reveals that God is now calling His people out of “Mystery Babylon, the mother of harlots”. Revelation 17:5

Yes, through the centuries, as this work-a-day world has been going busily about its day-by-day routine, the great multitudes have long held the notion that “tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.” Isaiah 56:2
But it is now in our day that humanity is getting nervous!
.
Because ever since that fateful day in 1915, the world has been steadily inching closer and closer to the precipice of destruction!
.
Two world wars, the invention of nuclear bombs, incurable disease, the nearly pandemic embracing of Sodom’s sin, and other previously unheard of calamities are making a whole lot of people very nervous.
But there is another uncanny similarity between the Titanic ship and this Titanic World which only further confirms the metaphoric nature of these two titans!
But what must be understood is this: the Bible is a book of metaphors.

And to rightly interpret the thousands of metaphors in the Bible requires much study, “comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” 1st Corinthians 2:13
The Bible is a spiritual book, often using the physical objects of nature to illustrate spiritual truths!
Read the newspapers! Watch the television! Everywhere we look, it seems that humanity is getting more and more intolerant of each other!

Just look at the political world!
.
There is so much hatred in today’s politics, that the various news agencies twist the facts (or omit facts altogether) in the daily news stories just to make their political foes appear even more evil than they really are!
.
Political protests are happening on a daily basis with hate-filled chants shouted by angry throngs, ready to beat anyone who might get in their way!
.
And some political leaders are even calling for the death of their enemies!
One preacher made the comment, “These climate activists who are trying to ‘save the world’, are comparable to trying re-arrange deck-chairs on the Titanic!”
.
Yes, in the very hour in which this world teeters on the brink of Judgment Day, we see a good proportion of unsaved humanity engaging in all types of environmental activism!
.
And all this environment mania, is merely the product of evil angels working through the unsaved to divert humanity into various other futile areas of concern.
Well, this little devotional doesn’t have time to expand on this description of the icy indifference and growing hatred which are abounding on a daily basis.
In spite of the growing hatred and intolerance now seen just about everywhere, is there any Good News in this sad and tragic world?

Yes, even though this world has been struck by the iceberg of man’s intolerant hatred for others, there is a way of escape!
.
Sadly, only one-third of the Titanic’s passengers were saved.
.
But the lifeboat that God has provided is big enough to rescue any and every last man, woman, and child on this sinking planet.
.
Yes, unlike the insufficient lifeboats of the Titanic back in 1915, nobody should think that God’s lifeboat is too small for all to come aboard to be saved!

Neither will this devotional attempt to tackle the issue regarding whether “one man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike.” Romans 14:5.

No, these are not the issues to be explored today.
But the fact is, while many do enjoy fleeting moments of peace and security which come with being a Christian…

…according to Scripture, many of us who take the name of Jesus are still living in a high degree of turmoil and unrest. (See Hebrews, Chapter 4)
.
Certainly, they (we) do not enjoy the promise found in Isaiah 26:3… “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.”

Yes, this above verse reveals that we can attain a far greater peace, joy, and contentment than we are now experiencing, if we will only learn to implicitly trust in the Lord with all our heart!
The fact is, from cradle to grave, the world encourages us to rely on our own strength, our own cleverness, and our own ambition as we strive for happiness and success in every area of our life!
