Up until about the mid-twentieth century, probably very few people would ever have imagined that some electronic device emitting sights and sounds was soon to become the centerpiece of our society, of our homes, and of our lives.

Yes, television (& Internet & radio) is truly a remarkable invention!

It is a powerful tool… 

It can change minds…

It can marshal armies…

It can shift the paradigm of societies…

It can win elections…

It can ruthlessly mock its enemies, even to the point of suicide, if necessary…

It can frighten us…

It can pacify us…

And it can tell us what to wear…

how to talk…

what to do…

what to think…

what to love…

and even who to hate!

.

.

Television can be our best friend (and our worst enemy!).

.

But it’s always willing to be our comforter.

.

Because with just the click of a button, this “Electronic Prince of the Power of the Airwaves” will ride to our rescue…

…to save us from our loneliness…from our boredom!

When nobody else wants to be with us, it never turns us away.

Yes, this modern-day marvel has become the perfect “friend”!

It lives to entertain us…

It loves to make us smile…

Make us laugh…

Make us cry…

To satisfy us with gossip…

To sooth us with beautiful music…

And this master storyteller will enchant us throughout the day with just about any type of tale we desire!

Television is the proverbial “Needy Clown”, yearning to be adored, and willing to do or say anything to get such adoration…

It is often seductive, sensual…

It’s original…

Or campy…

Or stupid…

Or even intellectual, at times…

It can be beautiful…

Charming…

Witty…

Wise…

Foolish…

Humanitarian…

Revengeful…

Loving…

Hateful…

Right…

Wrong…

Greedy…

Generous…

Good…

Evil…

It is the ultimate, “be-all, end-all”, of our needs and desires!

Television is the Magnificent Sorcerer!

It will bewitch us, performing its magic before our very eyes!

It will seduce us as it sexualizes us (and sexualizes our children, too!) 

.

It is the Great Deceiver and False Prophet, with all its so-called humanitarian concerns, making us think it cares…really, really cares!

Television is the Ultimate Pied Piper of Hamlin!

It is as wily and subtle as that serpent in the garden, as it utters its vague innuendos against the Bible and those who love the Bible.

It can make good appear as evil, and make evil appear as good!

And it will lead us down that proverbial “primrose pathway”.

And television will take us and our children down, down, down…

.

…down to the place we would not want to go, if we really understood the situation…as God sees it.

And if it can rule the world, it can certainly rule my heart!

In other words, my dear darling soul, television/Internet/radio are exactly like Lucifer (Satan), and exactly like his World of Sin…

…with just the same attributes of “the prince of this world”. (John 12:31, etc…)

And as the “the god of this world”, this Pied Piper of Sheol has all the supernatural powers to do all these things!

Yes, television is the ultimate “Charming Gigolo”.

And he’s right there in the midst of our living room, seducing us and our children!

And ultimately, this Hell-sent gigolo will rob us of everything we might possess, that has any eternal value…

…only to leave us desolate & very bankrupt on that Great & Fearful Day of God Almighty!

Likewise, Mercury, which is the second heavenly sphere in our solar system, seems to correspond very nicely to the Second Commandment.

Both the second heavenly sphere (Mercury) and the Second Commandment (no images) are closest to the ‘Sun’.

That is to say, just as planet Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, so is the Second Commandment right next to the First Commandment (God compares himself to the Sun many times in Scripture). Jesus says to us today…

Does Man imagine that this drop of water looking like a beautiful water crown is just a freak accident of nature?

No! It tells of Jesus’ kingly majesty as He offers all to drink freely of the “Water of Life”…

…”And He said unto me, It is done.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

A WORLD OF LIES

With all this law & order, it would seem like a very elementary conclusion, that this beautiful and poetic and allegorically-instructive universe is the creation of an all-wise and all-powerful Creator!

But in defense of scientists, we have an enemy, who has… 

…”blinded the minds of them which believe not,

lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,

who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Yes, 2nd Corinthians 4:4 calls him, “the god of this world”!

We have all been deceived, and not just scientists!

And thus, mankind is confused by these two great opposing forces! Good and evil now exists together.

THE MOON: A HEAVENLY OBJECT LESSON

When God created the Moon and the stars, He ordained them to “rule the night” (Gen. 1:16).

The Moon, especially when it is full, can light your pathway through the night, as it reflects the light of the Sun.

So too, the Christian is to be a light to the world: to this sin-darkened world.

But as the Moon must reflect the light of the Sun, in order to be a light to the world…

…so also, must the Christian reflect the light of Jesus, to be a spiritual light to this planet in rebellion. Listen…

However, during an eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, preventing that sunlight from shining on the Moon’s face.

This is an incredible object-lesson about when the child of God allows the world to come between him and his Lord.

Like the eclipse, that person no longer reflects the light of Jesus, because his or her love of this dark world of sin has eclipsed the light from the “Sun of Righteousness” (see Malachi 4:2).

Well, maybe some of these things are relevant, and probably most are not relevant.

And well, perhaps a few of these may be helpful in understanding Revelation.

But if one simply lets Scripture define Scripture, and cling to that old mantra… “Sola Scriptura” (“Scripture Only”)…

…Biblical truth can be arrived at, which might not be as interesting or exotic as some interpretations which the apostate church-world is coming up with.

But to simply compare Scripture with Scripture, a correct interpretation can be achieved which points to “MY” own heart, as “the chief of sinners”.

BIBLE POINTS TO JESUS & ME

Yes, correct Bible study, without the aid of other books (except, perhaps, having a concordance and/or center-column scripture-references)…

…such “Bible-only” studying will direct the student right back into more Bible study, instead of into other books, or newspapers, etc….

Because, daily Bible study, properly done, will ultimately lead to “My heart” as the real problem, instead of “other groups” as the problem.

In other words, I know I’m on the right track if my Bible studies point the accusing finger at “My own sins”.

True religion concerns “my” relationship with God.

CHURCH HISTORY

And while it might be very helpful to know a little of the history of the Church, just where does a person look to find the right history book?

Satan has greatly confused the issue by writing conflicting histories.

Depending on which history book one reads, determines what the reader will find.

FOR OUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

The problem with prophecy is, perhaps, this: all too often, many try to study prophecy for merely the intrigue of discovering future events.

.

Such is the appeal to many who have only “itching ears”.

.

They try to divorce Bible prophecy from the very purpose for which it was given…

.

…to spiritually strengthen the Church as well as strengthen the individual Christian through increasing the knowledge of Christ and how He works in a Believer’s life.

.

But true prophecy interpretation will always have this waymark…it is always…

…”profitable for… for reproof, for correction,

for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

.

God is not trying to merely tickle our ears with exotic and intriguing conspiracy theories.

.

The whole Bible is totally dedicated to transforming the Christian and the Church into the image of Christ.

.

And Bible prophecy, if rightly interpreted, always accomplishes this same purpose.

.

LOCUSTS NOT BLACK HELICOPTERS

.

The great problem with trying to interpret prophecy by newspapers or history books is this: you will undoubtedly only end up with some nation or battle or historical figure or literal animal or mechanical device as the ultimate interpretation.

.

But on the other hand, when one uses only the Bible, then the student will hopefully end up with a spiritual interpretation…

.

…which interpretation will reveal sin, righteousness, and judgment, which will spiritually build up that Christian.

.

Then, by studying the Bible only, the student will interpret “locusts”, for instance, as God’s means of destroying the Christian’s love of earthy Mammon, instead of only seeing locusts as black helicopters, or whatever other popular notion is out there.

DON’T BE LED DOWN RABBIT TRAILS!

And so, the Christian must be prayerful and vigilant, to not allow Satan to lead us down rabbit trails, which have a form of godliness, but are mostly a great waste of our time and energy!

Listen… “See then that ye walk circumspectly,

not as fools, but as wise,

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Ephesians 5:15, 16

.

Yes, we don’t want to end up like Alice here, and be led down some rabbit trail, wasting years upon some unprofitable endeavor!

Instead, we want to focus upon the eternal riches, which the Lord longs to give to each and every person who seeks with all the heart, to become changed into the image and likeness of Jesus!

But as the child of God devotes his or her life to God, there should be a jealous guarding of one’s own heart… “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23.

The Christian wants nothing to get in the way of running that Christian Race.

“AND WHEN YE SEE THESE THINGS…

“LOOK UP, LIFT UP YOUR HEAD”

But having said this, there is one hobby which every ‘Noble Berean’ may take up, which only compliments the pursuit of the heavenly Prize.

Yes, Signs Of Heaven becomes a wonderfully rewarding hobby which, unlike many less meaningful hobbies, pays off with rich, heavenly rewards. Everlasting rewards!

And unlike the person in this photo with equipment, mostly all you need is fairly good vision, and a dark, starry night.

(Those living in the southernmost regions may have to use the Internet or books to see some of the most northern constellations, such as “The Revelation 12 Woman”, also known as Ursa Major.)

And once a person really gets to know these heavenly messengers, it will become very apparent that the message connected with these signs is truly a message to be heeded.

Thus, will the Christian be able to share this message with others. And there are perhaps many nuances and hidden biblical truths to these signs which have yet to be discovered.

FIRST FIND ORION & 7 STARS

The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and The 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper).

.

These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (The 7 Stars).

.

And just as these two constellations are the easiest to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).

.

These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

.

ANOTHER HEAVENLY HOBBY: PRAYER-WALKS

Now if you’re fortunate enough to be able to go on nightly walks, and you live in an area where you can safely view the stars, here is another Heavenly Hobby which Signs Of Heaven endorses…

Why not combine starwatching with prayer, as you walk? What a great way to draw closer to God!

.

It cannot be over-stressed, just how wonderful it is to walk under the dark canopy of Heaven, while lifting up one’s heart to our Heavenly Father!

.

There is a closeness to God that cannot be described with words!

.

(And even if you cannot safely do this, you can always do such prayer-walks in the daytime, in a safe place, such as a mall or big-box store, which is every bit as effective, prayer-wise.

.

And for those who are in confinement, one can view these starry signs on the Internet, or simply listen to Scripture on audio.

.

Either way, all such may enjoy God’s richest blessings at this very time in which God is pouring out all Heaven’s treasures upon anyone willing to forsake all, and follow Jesus!)

THRICE-DAILY PRAYERS

Now of course, the Bible commands us to, “pray without ceasing“. The Christian is to constantly talk with our Heavenly Father throughout the day.

.

But the Bible also holds up the godly life of Daniel, who, when captive in Babylon, still set aside three times daily, in which he knelt for special prayer.

.

And furthermore, the Bible also says… “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17.

.

Even those who are bed-fast or in a prison cell can begin to imitate Daniel in this way.

.

And if one is fortunate to be able to walk, then this thrice-daily prayer regimen can be combined with three walks daily and even nightly.

A new constellation has been revealed, as of about May 29th, 2014.

This constellation appears as a snake.

.

Its body is comprised of stars from the Bootes Constellation…

…and its jaws are made of the four stars which Babylonians saw as the head of Draco, the Dragon.

.

It also has a small single star for an eye.

.

Now in this constellation is a group of five stars, which will be called “The Five Foolish Virgins Stars”. 

.

These are located on the opposite side of the Glorious Crown of 12 Stars, from the Five Wise Virgins Stars.

.

But one big difference between the two is, that The Five Wise are curved around the Glorious Crown, while the Five Foolish are curved away from it!

And so, these come into Christianity thinking that they are going to be “Movers & Shakers for God”.

Perhaps it could be said that they have a “Rosie The Riveter” mentality. You know, they have a “We Can Do It!” philosophy…like Rosie here, flexing her arm in all of her self-confidence.

OLD ENGLISH WORD FOR MONEY

Yes, many come into Christianity thinking that God brought them in, so that He could use their talents in some way.

.

But where did this term “talent” come from anyway? It certainly is a popular phrase!

.

Well, it originated, like so many other terms, from the Bible.

.

Yes, if one goes to the Parable of the Talents, this word has its origin.

.

Listen… “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country,

who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one;

to every man according to his several ability;

and straightway took his journey…”

Matthew 25:14, 15.

.

A talent was a piece of money, in the ancient cultures.

.

And thus, in this parable, each person received a certain amount of money, and each began to invest that money (talents).

…many people get the mistaken notion that on Judgment Day, they will be judged according to how they used their “talents”, in the modern sense of the word, “talent”.

CORRUPT WAYS OF MAN NOT NEEDED

But more often than not, the worldly “talents” we bring into Christianity have been greatly marred by sin.

In other words, quite often our music has a worldly twang to it.

.

Quite often, our business “talents” have a harsh edge.

.

And all too often, our organizational “talents” frequently depend on using strong-arm, manipulative tactics.

.

God is not desiring these kinds of worldly ways.

.

TRUE WEALTH

. 

But there is a much greater meaning to using our talents.

.

Listen to the words of the wise man, Solomon…

…”A wise man will hear, and will increase learning;

and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:”

Proverbs 1:5.

 God has given this Book to humanity, so that anyone who will, may come and drink of its vast stores of heavenly living waters. 

.

And listen to what God has to say about knowledge and wisdom…

…”Acquaint now thyself with Him (the Lord)…

Receive, I pray thee, the law from His mouth,

and lay up His words in your heart…

Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust,

and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. ”

Job 22:21, 22, 24, 25

Oh, so that’s how I can increase my talents, my spiritual riches, by laying up His Words in my heart (the heart being the treasure-chest of my mind)!

WORLDLY WISEMEN CONTROL TODAY’S CHURCH

Today’s church-world has been filling up with worldly-wisemen, who have greatly turned the churches and denominations into worldly institutions…

.

…using worldly tactics, world-loving programs, and man-contrived business strategies, instead of holding fast to the purity of the early church as its role-model.

.

Thus, the churches have greatly merged into this Babylonish world.

.

MOSES, THE ANTITHESIS OF ROSIE the RIVETER

.

It would be best for all such to put aside that ministry, or that earthly talent…

…and rather, use their time, reading their Bible and praying for God to bring them the experiences needful to purify their hearts and renew their minds.

.

Then, instead of sounding like a dreamy-eyed crooner, that fully-converted singer will now sound like a holy angel in God’s choir.

.

Then instead of cutting sharp deals, that fully converted businessman will now exercise grace, mercy, and generosity, sometimes even to the point of being accused of becoming too naïve.

.

Then will that great communicator and organizer now exercise the quietness, the meekness and the self-distrust of, say, a man like Moses (whom God chastened 40 years till he was transformed from being the proudest of all men to becoming the meekest of all men).

.

Just look up at that above picture of proud Rosie, showing off her muscles.

.

And then examine this picture of meek Moses, helplessly lifting his hands up to God to give his people victory.

.

Whose attributes would you rather have?

.

Rosie’s self-confidence?

.

Or Moses’ humble, trusting, reliance on God?

And have you ever noticed that the secular shows, more often than not, portray very dedicated Christians as “weak little birds”, and at last are saved by the big strong secular hero of the story.

EVE, THE ORIGINAL ROSIE

Yes, it’s a Rosie the Riveter world. And it’s been that way for a very long time!

Even in the Garden, when the Tempter tempted the woman, it was over the issue of her wanting to be like God.

Eve didn’t want to trust in God. She wanted to do things under her own strength and intellect.

Yes, in a very real sense, Eve was the very first Rosie the Riveter!

OUR HEAVENLY FATHER ALLOWED US TO “DO IT OURSELVES”

And all God originally wanted, was for mankind to enjoy peace and rest and happiness.

But when mankind left God’s Rest, and wanted to have a “We Can Do It!” world, God in His infinite wisdom decided to allow us to become that kind of a world!

And so we became a “We Can Do It!” world.

HOW’S IT WORKIN’ FOR US?

Well, we’ve been a “We Can Do It” world for quite a while now.

And to use a currently popular saying… “How’s our ‘We Can Do It’ world workin’ out for us?”

Not so good, is it? Just looking around, one might assess the situation as well, perhaps, a total flop.

.

Yes, we’ve made a complete mess out of a beautiful world which God originally created to be a blissful paradise!

“AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST”

Matthew 11:28

But the very good news is, the door is still open to come back to God.

Listen…“There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.

For he that is entered into His rest,

he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.

Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest,

lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

Hebrews 4:9-11

.

As this above passage proclaims, mankind is invited to come back to the Lord.

God still holds out His “Rest unto your souls”, to any and every one who is tired of trying to be a “I Can Do It!” person.

And yes, as the Christian learns more and more about the Bible, he or she will learn to put greater and greater trust in the Lord, to solve the many problems of life.

And this verse will take on a greater and greater meaning to that Christian… “Be still, and know that I am God:” Psalm 46:10.

And once that Christian finally puts full trust in God, there will be a peace which surpasses all human understanding, which this “Rosie The Riveter” world cannot know nor understand.

He then creates a world, filled with idols…which, in reality, are merely tokens of his selfish attributes.

Listen… “And they (the people of the world) worshipped the dragon (Satan)”

Revelation 13:4.

And so, simply by the people of the world loving this antichrist world, with all its selfish wares and proud ways.

This is how we love and worship Satan, the Dragon!

THIS DRAGON IS NOT DRACO! First, let it be stated, that this Dragon Constellation is not the same constellation commonly referred to as “Draco” (photo to right is Draco, AKA Ursa Minor).

But you will discover that it is a very intricate and complex constellation, once you are comfortable locating it.

LOCATING THE DRAGON 

.

The Revelation 12 Dragon Constellation can be located by finding Orion in winter months.

.

The Dragon is to Orion’s left, and the Dragon’s mouth is right next to Orion’s shield.

.

This Dragon’s mouth is the V-like constellation The Hyades Cluster, which is also known as the head of Taurus the Bull.

.

The Dragon’s tail-tip is Pleiades and the lower shaft of his tail is partly of Aries and Pisces.

.

Then with aid of a dark and starry night, you may begin to connect the mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape.

.

The front and back legs are made of a few stars: the front legs partially of stars from Taurus.

.

The back legs and rear fin are made of 6 stars from the Cetus Constellation.

.

BODY HARD TO SEE

.

The long oval-shaped body has relatively few stars, but can been seen, howbeit with a dark, starry night. The four stars of the front fins are made partially of Taurus .

What’s In Your House?

Have you ever been in an elegant house?

.

Oh, maybe not the mansion in this picture. But a house which has been furnished with beautiful furniture?

And wasn’t it a joy to sit there in such a clean and well-cared-for home?

TRANSLATING THE PHYSICAL INTO SPIRITUAL

.

Well, the Bible says that the people of this world “are wiser in their generation than are the children of light (Luke 16:8)”.

.

And so, as children of light, we might pay a little attention to what the children of the world are doing and translate those things into a spiritual counterpart.

.

And such translating extends also in the furnishings of our home.

.

No not our physical home, but it is our spiritual house that we need to furnish with elegant furnishings.

A SPIRITUAL HOUSE

1st Peter 2:5

.

Listen again to our opening Bible passage…

…”Through wisdom is an house builded;

Yes, while the people of the world are spending so much time, money, and effort in beautifying and enriching their houses and lands…

.

…the children of light must rather be spending our time, money, and effort, beautifying and enriching our spiritual house: our heart…

Listen…“Ye also, as lively stones,

are built up a spiritual house,

an holy priesthood,

to offer up spiritual sacrifices,

acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”

1st Peter 2:5

Yes, we are a spiritual house!

.

Now, this does not mean that we are to allow our literal homes to be neglected.

.

But the main focus of our lives should be on furnishing our spiritual house with the elegance of Heaven.

MARTHA & MARY SET THE PRIORITY

.

Remember the little account of Mary and her sister Martha?

.

Remember how Martha was so concerned about the worldly duties of life, while sister Mary sat instead, and spent her time filling her heart with the precious words of life? 

.

Now what did Jesus say to Martha?

.

Listen… “And Jesus answered and said unto her,

Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

But one thing is needful:

and Mary hath chosen that good part,

which shall not be taken away from her.”

Luke 10:41:42.

.

Yes, Jesus ever-so-gently scolded Martha, but commended Mary…

.

…because Mary made her priority in life, to hear God’s Word, rather than expending her time, money, and energy seeking after the cares and pleasures of the world.

ALL GRAFFITI MUST GO!

“Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” James 4:8

And one of the first things we must do is to get rid of the graffiti which is on the walls of our heart.

Yes, by exposing ourselves to the unwholesome words and images all around us, our hearts have become covered with all sorts of degrading graffiti and vile images!

.

And this must first be cleaned up.

.

And here is a work which no Christian is excused from participating in!

.

The Bible makes it perfectly clear that every man, woman, and young person, must become fully engaged in the purifying of the heart!

.

Just listen to the Apostle, John… “And every man that hath this hope in Him (of Christ’s Return) purifies himself, even as He (Christ) is pure.” 1st John 3:3.

.

PRECIOUS & PLEASANT FURNISHINGS

Now that the walls are cleansed from graffiti, then comes the nice and elegant furnishings.

.

Beautiful pictures of heavenly images hanging on the walls of our heart!

.

All those precious Bible promises, hanging as “apples of gold, in pictures of silver”, decorating the heavenly halls of our heart! (Proverbs 25:11)

.

Elegant furnishings which family and friends and guests alike, may all enjoy!

.

These come from fixing our minds on heavenly things!

.

Thus, by meditating day and night on God’s Word, we begin to fill our homes with all the elegance of Heaven!

.

And before long, our spiritual house becomes a showcase of heavenly splendor, more than enough to “keep up with the Joneses”, in any heavenly neighborhood!

.

.

.

INTO ETERNITY FUTURE!

.

And the really wonderful aspect to all this is, that even though time and elements of nature will eventually pull down, not only our physical dwellings, but our bodies of clay, as well!

.

Yet our spiritual home will endure throughout all the ceaseless ages! 

.

Listen…“Love not the world,

neither the things that are in the world…

And the world passeth away…

but he that doeth the will of God

abideth for ever.”

1st John 2:15-17. (Condensed for brevity)

.

This above passage very much implies that whatever we devote ourselves to in this life will either be burned up on the last Day or will endure throughout eternity future!

.

PURSUE ETERNAL RICHES

So why should we waste our precious remaining moments on things which will ultimately be burned up?

Why not rather spend our time on things which endure forever?

HOW THE NARROW & WIDE GATES RELATE TO ORION & DRAGON

In the eastern sky, it’s not so easily seen which gate the Revelation 12 Woman will enter.

The Wide Gate is made of the two brightest stars of this Wave of Water Constellation.

Satan spews out the deadly water of his false worldly ideologies.

And many of these ideologies have a form of godliness, but in some way are not in harmony…

.

…or perhaps these worldly ideologies add to the Bible, which is strictly forbidden (see Deuteronomy 4:2).

On the other hand, the Strait Gate (narrow gate) is composed of the two brightest stars of the Orion The Reaper’s sickle.

.

The true Strait Gate represents Jesus, the Word of God.

THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE,

What in the world could this above verse be speaking of?!

And how does this verse apply to me as an individual Christian?

.

It seems to be speaking of the Day of the Lord, but it speaks of a man in travail with child!

.

But it also refers to it as “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble”.

.

Very, very confusing, to say the least!

BIBLE IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY

.

Okay, so by examining that story of Jacob wrestling with the angel of the Lord, then perhaps we can see what lies ahead.

.

Listen… “And Jacob was left alone;

and there wrestled a man with him

until the breaking of the day…

And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me…

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel:

for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men,

and hast prevailed.”

(see Genesis 32:24, 26-28 condensed for brevity)

“For we wrestle…against principalities and powers…”

Ephesians 6:12

The Bible tells us that there still exists in every Christian, a struggle between the spirit and the flesh.

.

Like Jacob, the Christian desires to gain the spiritual blessing of a fully sanctified life.

.

Esau, Jacob’s brother, a hunter, represents “the man of flesh” within us.

.

Listen to Scripture…

…“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit,

and the Spirit against the flesh…”

Galatians 5:17.

So, it now is evident that there exists a struggle in the life of each and every Christian.

THE OLD MAN & THE NEW MAN

.

But as for Esau and Jacob representing the “Man of Flesh” and the “Man of Spirit”, respectively, just listen to this next verse…

…“Lie not one to another,

seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

And have put on the new man,

which is renewed in knowledge

after the image of Him that created him:”

Colossians 3:9,10

.

And just as Jacob was trying to escape Esau, so the follower of Jesus is trying to flee from his or her own fleshy desires.

.

But it seems that so many sincere Christians are too often falling into our fleshly lusts: pride, anger, judging, lusting, gluttony, worldly aspirations & pleasures…etc….!

.

THE WISDOM OF KNOWLEDGE

.

“And have put on the new man,

which is renewed in knowledge

after the image of Him that created him:”

.

So, here we see that “The New Man” is renewed in knowledge after the image of Jesus.

.

This answers just how this New Man begins to thrive within us…through knowledge…through the knowledge of Jesus…through “every word which proceedeth out of the mouth of God”…the Bible!

NIGHT OF WRESTLING BEFORE US

And so, just like the Apostle, Paul, I too, need to do the very same work in my own life.

.

I need to crucify the “old man” so that the “New Man” can freely live out His life through me.

.

I need to escape from the Esau within….from the “old man” which still wants to “run the show”, so to speak.

.

But through the ever-increasing knowledge of the Word of Christ, the “New Man” within me, can become increasingly visible to the onlooking world!

.

.

.

.

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”

Philippians 2:13

.

What I need, is to wrestle with God, not letting go of Him, just as surely as Jacob wrestled with the angel!

.

And I need to wrestle until the Day Dawns, and the Sun of Righteousness arises in our hearts. 

.

Nevertheless, though it often seems as if we are alone in this struggle, the Bible reveals otherwise… “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13.

.

Yes, it is God who is working in us, and it is God who allows those fiery trials, both big and little, which will ultimately purify us, as gold and silver are purified!

GLORIOUS CROWN CONSTELLATION…

.

“A CROWN OF 12 STARS UPON HER HEAD” …

.

If you have access to a very dark sky out in the country; if you watch this wreath, you will eventually see 5 more very faint stars, making a total of 12 stars, plus that single star in the middle.

.

This wreath now becomes a crown of 12 stars.

.

This goes along with Revelation 12, which tells of a crown of 12 stars upon the head of the Virtuous Woman of Revelation 12.

.

… “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman…and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:” Rev. 12:1.

.

But this crown is not yet upon the head of the Virtuous Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (also known as Ursa Major).

.

It is just above her head, as if she has yet to attain it.

.

Of course, the 13th star in the middle would represent Christ (Who is our true Crown of our rejoicing).

.

Okay, so we have a picture of Christ and His twelve tribes of Israel.

.

But also, we have a picture of Christ and His twelve apostles, which is a picture of His Church.

.

So, this heavenly crown is a multi-faceted concept.

.
